Google
A Neighborhood Gem for Ramen and Sushi I always enjoy the ramen here—it never misses. I recently brought a friend who lives just a block away, and somehow it was her first time visiting. She was so impressed, especially with the Philadelphia roll—it tantalized all the taste buds. The service, as always, was friendly and attentive. This spot is consistently solid, and it’s become one of my go-to places when I want something comforting and satisfying. If you haven’t been yet and you live nearby, trust me—don’t sleep on it. -Chef Green

Google
Ramen Utseke delivered a solid meal with great flavors and quality ingredients. We had the Tonkotsu Ramen, pork gyoza, and Spicy Salmon Jalapeño poppers. The ramen broth was rich and comforting, with well-cooked noodles and tender pork. The gyoza had a nice sear and a flavorful filling, and the jalapeño poppers added a fun, spicy twist to the meal. While everything was delicious, it didn’t quite match the ramen we’ve had in Japan—but for a local spot, it’s definitely one of the better options. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting.

Google
this place was really cute and the food was pretty good! i loved the interior, they had really cute booths, art, and lantern lights above. the food itself was pretty good—nice portions for a decent price. we went for dinner on a saturday night and all the tables were full, but we were able to be seated within 15 minutes with one group before us.

Google
The staff at Ramen Utsuke are very friendly and welcoming, which made the dining experience pleasant. The food itself was just okay—not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. That said, the prices are quite reasonable, making it a decent option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly meal with great service.

Google
From France I have like few good address there, but this place is really good, their spicy miso is really good not too spicy, the broth is light. The staff is understanding and patient with my broken English, and the service is flexible to answer my demand like to add few dishes without rice etc Very good place I recommend!

Google
Great ramen with a rich flavor. Customize your garlic and spice level! I've tried the Tonkatsu ramen and the Miso Ramen and would recommend both! Try the crab croquettes! 😍

Google
Great food, glacial service. Lots of interesting sake (hot and cold) on offer, really tasty and beautiful looking ramen, very large portions. The Tayaki ice cream was absolutely delicious. It's a touch expensive; an entree, mid-price sake and dessert came to about $50 before tip. My main issue was the service; this is not a big place by any stretch, but the waitresses seemed completely overwhelmed, forgetting to bring us things and having to be reminded repeatedly. Every step of the way - waiting to order, waiting for drinks, waiting for our food, waiting to order and waiting for dessert, waiting for the check, even waiting for our cards to be returned, took a good 20 minutes plus. I recommend this place if you aren't in a rush; if you are, you're going to be well fed, but late.

Google
The food was abundant and tasty, we got 2 ramen dishes and both were very good. The staff was attentive and nice. Although it was still easy tot talk and not too crowded, the music ranged from calming spa like music to rock.

Yelp
Visited Ramen Utsuke for the first tonight with friends after the holiday market, and had a great visit! The staff was very friendly and we were quickly seated as we arrived soon after opening. Definitely recommend getting there early to get a table because when we left there was a long wait. They have a variety of drinks so between us we tried the tea, melon cream soda and hot sake. All were great. We also shared Takoyaki and Portobello Karaage which were hot and delish. The ramen options were great! A lot of variety in flavors and proteins. Love that they had a lot of vegetarian options as well including tofu as a protein choice. Portions were a good size for the price. The flavor also was excellent for each one ordered at our table. We all love them! If you're looking for ramen in B-more, this is your spot!

Yelp
While I was in the DMV, I stopped by this place because it was one of the few places open on a Sunday. I was craving ramen. So I came to check it out. The ambience here is cool. So is the vibe. Service was decent. A bunch of young kids. No prob. I got the regular ramen. Nothing extra or special. Price was a bit high for my comfort. But not really a big deal. Portions were meh. And flavor was kind of lacking. I live in the 626. So I know real ramen. No disrespect, but this wasn't all that great. It was aight. Nothing much to add. I don't have photos because it was so basic. Not talking smack, but it wasn't for me.

Yelp
Came here with a Baltimore local on her recommendation. We really enjoyed the food. Ramen was perfect on a winter night like we had. Highly recommend: Spicy miso ramen Shio ramen spicy green beans Tuna jalapeno poppers - double yes! Service is great and super friendly. The spot gets busy around dinner rush so be prepared to wait as they don't take reservations. but it is worth the wait. it's location near the Baltimore harbor makes it a great night out. They also validate parking at a discounted rate in the garage on the corner which is even better. They also navigated an allergy i had really well and offered to make accommodations.

Yelp
This spot was highly recommended by my friends as the "best ramen in the city", and I do agree with them after my visit. The place feels welcoming and the host/servers are very nice and attentive. I got the Black & Red Tonkotsu Ramen and a side of takoyaki--both dishes were absolutely delicious. We also took our time to enjoy our food and did not feel any pressure from the wait staff order more etc., which I always appreciate. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a decent ramen spot in the city.

Yelp
Came in here for lunch on a Saturday and waited about 20 minutes for a table for four. Once we were seated it was quick, friendly service. Place was average in size with a decent amount of tables, if not a bit crowded together. Pretty much how a busy ramen joint should and normally is, set up. We all really like our ramen. Nicely flavored broth that paired well with the toppings. The only small fault for me was the temperature of the broth was not as hot as I would have liked. Not a deal breaker, just a minor note. Prices were reasonable and portions were normal. I would definitely recommend this spot for your ramen fix.

Yelp
We were in town and stumbled upon Ramen Utsuke, and so happy we did. The staff was pleasant and accommodated our party of eight right away. The vegetarian noodles were amazing. I loved that they had two different noodle types and broth. The broth had the right amount of flavors, not too salty, which is what I like. The tofu, corn, egg, and seafood were so tasty- the right amount of flavor. Def check this place out. Good food and the price point is very reasonable.

Yelp
This place was pretty packed on a weekday evening with a short wait prior to being seated! We ordered the tonkatsu ramen, spicy salmon roll, and pork donburi. All were tasty, though perhaps a little over salted for the donburi. Notably, everything was very reasonably priced for the generous portion size. Limited nearby street parking available for a low price.

Yelp
Ramen Utsuke is a solid Baltimore spot that won't break your bank! Service - 10/10 Ambiance - Good food, not too loud, and good seating My partner and I got: Chicken Kaarage 9.5/10 ( small portion is the only drawback) Tuna roll 7/10 - it's a ramen spot not a sushi spot, but solid Miso Ramen 8.5/10 - Good and bouncy noodles, but should've gone with the spicy Black and Red 8/10 - Good, but not super flavorful, but did love the toppings and pork Overall, decent spot and would go again when in Baltimore/ at the convention center!!

Yelp
We wanted to come here for lunch but the wait was 45 minutes so we came back for dinner and I'm so glad we did! The place is a bit on the smaller side, but the service was fantastic. All the servers were very attentive and helped us whether it be a new pair of chopsticks or more water. The place itself was nicely decorated and clean. Since it is on the smaller side, it never got too loud. The food was delicious. The broth had a great umami and wasn't too salty like many ramen broths are. Noodles were perfectly chewy and the chasu was fork tender. The portions were huge so well worth your money!

Yelp
Loved coming here! I'm a vegetarian and they had OPTIONS! We sat at the communal tables which was fun. We were on a time limit for a concert at CFG. The service was friendly and quick. We started with edamame which was perfectly salted and easy to eat. Waters we're constantly refilled while we ate. I got the ginger miso with tofu and it was delicious! Flavorful broth, perfectly soft egg, and crunchy corn and cabbage. Also soju was the perfect pre game for the concert. I definitely would come back here before a show at CFG, it was like a 10 minute walk which was easy. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I've been to Ramen Utsuke many times and have always had great experiences, but today was an exception. I started with the fried tofu appetizer, which was as great. The tofu was perfectly crispy, and the sweet chili sauce added a nice balance of tangy and sweet flavors. It was a strong start and had me looking forward to my ramen. Unfortunately, the Chicken Paitan Shoyu Red Ramen fell short. Despite paying extra to add spice, the dish wasn't spicy at all. While the broth and noodles were decent, the chicken chashu had an off-putting flavor that reminded me of day-old socks, and the corn was completely flavorless, adding nothing to the dish. That said, the service was fine, and we were treated nicely throughout our visit. I also noticed they've added some new artwork to the walls, which made the atmosphere more engaging and enjoyable. The restaurant's music is always on point, serving as the perfect background noise without being overwhelming. I've always enjoyed this spot, and while this visit was disappointing, I hope it was just an off day.

Yelp
Quick service and large ramen portions! The ginger was subtle and not too overpowering which I loved. The Chicken Kara-age was perfectly crispy and delicious. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area looking for a quick meal!

Yelp
When we walked in we were quickly seated. They brought water and menus and came back in a few minutes to take our order. The service was pretty friendly and on top of everything. My app of spicy tuna jalapeños and an avocado roll was really good! I enjoyed them both and would order them again The black oil chicken ramen was solid! I really enjoyed the fresh corn and sprouts in addition to the chicken. My chicken was fine but had several pieces of grizzle. The noodles were cooked perfectly. Overall I would certainly come back. The prices are fair for what you get

Yelp
Ramen Utsuke offers a cozy atmosphere and a menu filled with flavorful ramen options. The restaurant was quite busy and full during our visit, so I would suggest calling ahead for their wait time. We tried the tonkatsu black and the tonkatsu red and black ramen. Both dishes were delicious, with rich, savory broths that were satisfying and full of depth! The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings added great texture and variety. However, both ramens were a bit on the salty side, which slightly overshadowed the overall flavor. Despite this, the experience was enjoyable, with the restaurant providing a warm and inviting setting. If you're a ramen enthusiast looking for a tasty bowl, Ramen Utsuke is worth a visit, I would recommend it!

Yelp
First time at Ramen Utsuke. It was about 40 minutes before closing--friendly service. We received our food relatively quick and we didn't feel rushed. Everything was delicious. I added some spice to my paitan shoyu and it was just enough. This place definitely goes to the top of my ramen spot list.

Yelp
I came here with a few people for an early dinner. We were sat quickly, but it was very busy inside! I'm sure if we came a bit later, we would have had to wait for a bit. I enjoyed the ambiance, especially with the lanterns hanging up. The art and design was fun to look at too. I wanted to share a bunch of things, so I ordered a lot. I got the creamy veggie ramen, which was delicious! I really liked the broth/sauce and the veggies. I also had some of the sweet potato roll, california roll, tempura shrimp, and gyoza. In my opinion, the ramen was better than the rolls. I liked the sweet potato best. The tempura was very crunchy, but a bit oily. The gyoza was slightly overcooked in my opinion. Overall though, it was all delicious and it came out really fast!

Yelp
Good ramen and good price. If you need to go to the university of Maryland and looking for a good value for your tummy and taste buds - go here. Lots of constant patrons throughout the lunch hour. Food was tasty and the wait was short. Simple seating for a quick eat and run especially if you have to go to class or a meeting.

Yelp
Super friendly people with tasty food. The place seemed super popular so it's kind of full most of the time. I stayed next door at the hotel, and I kept walking by and every time someone opened the door when I walk by it was smelling amazing. So I decided to stop in. I decide to get it to go because there was a wait for a table, and also I just wanted to watch the football game lol. Tonkotsu black Ramen has a nice texture to it where it's slightly firm yet breaks, the cha chiu , AKA the pork, has a great deep porky flavor to it, the parts with the fat are absolutely melt in your mouth, the parts that are less fatty are a little bit more tough, not hard to chew but definitely a little more tough. It has a deep flavor that Chinese roast pork has. Mushrooms are excellent and snappy egg is nicely cooked and still a little gooey yet is solid. The broth is rich and creamy, though texturally a little bit less so, I wish it was a little thicker, but I definitely enjoyed it!
google avatar

Yelp
I chose Ramen Utsuke because of the relatively positive reviews online. Here's the breakdown: Food: I ordered the Red Tonkotsu with Pork Chashu and Bamboo Shoots, and added a Spicy Tuna Roll. The soup base was salt. That's it. That was the flavor. It was salt. The noodles were not made in the restaurant, lacking any of the desirable springiness of a recently made batch of ramen. The bamboo shoots came from a can. Service: No issues. Ambiance: It was fine. Wood benches, cafeteria-esque. Baltimore... I promise you there is much better ramen out there. Don't settle for this, and consider it good.

Yelp
My friend and I came here over the weekend for lunch. It's a nice casual spot and wasn't too busy when we arrived but it got packed quickly. The friendly staff welcomed us with a Japanese greeting which is neat. For our meals, I got the Black & Red Paitan Shoyu while my friend got the Black Tonkotsu Shoyu. My ramen was so good! It was spicy but not overwhelming to be uncomfortable which is what I was hoping for. The chicken wasn't dried out like some places I've been to. Such a comforting and delicious meal on a cold day. I am looking forward to coming back again!

Yelp
Ramen Utsuke was a definite win! I kept it simple with the tonkotsu red and some pork gyoza--both were on point. My boyfriend went for a sushi roll, and everything tasted great. The service? Absolutely top-notch. I'm giving it 4 stars, though, because I've had better broth elsewhere. This one was a bit more watery than I like, but overall, it was a solid meal!
google avatar

Jamilia B.

Yelp
Upon arrival, i was greeted and handed a menu. The host informed me that i can sit anywhere. The only table that was available was a booth near the front door. The table was dirty. After 6-7 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. My girlfriend took it upon herself to get up and ask if we had to order at the host stand. The lady (Jasmin) said she was on her way to our booth. I did notice that it was extremely busy and i honestly thought they were probably understaffed. I ordered Spicy Miso and kimchi. The spicy miso was not spicy at all. Come to find out, we had an option to get light spicy, medium spicy, hot and extremely hot. Jasmin did not ask us, so therefore that's probably why it wasn't spicy. The spicy miso was still really good and flavorful. Overall i rate this place a 3.8!

Yelp
This place has a nice atmosphere , clean bathrooms, and is about a 10 min walk from the Baltimore Convention Center. We had a group of 10 individuals come during our lunch hour for convention and even talked a few out of going to Chic fil-a . Be mindful they close at 2:30pm and reopen at 5pm . The restaurant has a lot of food options from the obvious Ramen and chicken wings and Sushi and a delicious Salmon bento box. The portion sizes are equitable to other restaurants in the area.

Yelp
Nice convenient location right by the Inner Harbor. I took a walk along the water to work up an appetite. The wait wasn't too bad for dine in, I waited about 10 minutes. I ordered the garlic shishito peppers and tonkotsu red and black. The shishitos were perfectly cooked and seasoned, very garlicky and delicious. The tonkotsu ramen was surprisingly big, 3 big slices of meat, half egg, seaweed, bean sprouts, and green onions. The soup was creamy and good. Noodles tasted very fresh. But, I didn't like that the egg was super cold, and the peppery taste (I think it is coming from the soup or maybe it is in the black garlic? Something is very peppery tasting in here and it overpowers the other flavors. Overall I really enjoyed my experience here. The restaurant is very clean and I like the Fusian decor. The walls had Japanese influences. The giant tv screen was playing a food show. This place is family friendly and could be a nice place for work gathering or a foodie date.

Yelp
WOW. . This place is amazing. All the servers are so eager to help. Feels like a food court place but with delicious ramen. Food was DELICIOUS. We were impressed at the broth toppings and the chashu. Better yet, they gave 3 big pieces of chashu. Will definitely return
google avatar

Jasmine M.

Yelp
Love this ramen spot! It's really close to the inner harbor, so parking can be a little difficult sometimes. They often also have a long wait on popular nights (had to wait 30 min on a Saturday, but I haven't needed to on other nights! The servers are very nice and answer any questions you have! My favorite part of this place is the number of vegetarian options! I really like the spicy seasame broth it's so good! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
We've been twice to Ramen Utsuke and have enjoyed it both times. The red and garlic is very tasty and comes out nice and hot. I forgot to skip the bean sprouts, but that's ok. Nice selection of appetizers and it's not too noisy inside. You do need all of your party to be seated and that's fine. I'm always full about halfway through because we order appetizers AND ramen. Staff is super friendly and refills your water often. They make great suggestions when asked. This is by far my favorite ramen place in the city. I think they validate parking but only on certain days and we forgot to ask both times we've been. We also got the fried eel balls with fish flakes on top and wings not pictured. We will definitely be coming back. It's great for hangover cures and general ramen wants.

Yelp
I went to Ramen Utsuke during a day exploring Baltimore. I was able to get seated quickly but I went at an odd time (5:30pm on a Saturday), I hear it gets busy at peak times so recommend calling and making an appointment ahead of time. The ambiance is smart casual and lots of seating for small groups with some cool artwork scattered around. I tried the pork dumplings, chicken ramen, and takoyaki. I must say.. everything was cooked to perfectIon and so tasty!! The spicy chicken ramen had really good flavor and noodles were high quality. The takoyaki was freshly made and super savory. The pork dumplings also tasted freshly made. We also had pretty good and fast service overall. Hands down - must try ramen spot!!
google avatar

Raelyn S.

Yelp
This was my second time dining at Utsuke, and it did not disappoint. We shared the spicy tuna roll and takoyaki, which were both solid appetizers. The ramen, however, was really the star of the show. We enjoyed both the Tonkotsu Paitain black with garlic oil and the Chicken Paitan red (spicy). Note that "shoyu" indicates a soy sauce broth base and "paitan" indicates a salted broth base. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. Our service was superb. We will be back again soon!

Yelp
I've had ramen up and down the east coast and have purposefully sought out the highest rated ramen restaurants in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Washington D.C.. all the way down to Florida. I must say that Ramen Utsuke is very good and absolutely deserves a high rating. The tonkotsu (black and red) is phenomenal and I have ordered it several times, consistently being delicious. The prices are quite reasonable and it's extremely quick. I have also ordered several of their appetizers which are also great. My favorite appetizers are: - fried chicken - steamed dumplings - gyoza - spring rolls
google avatar

Shakerra E.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite place in town to get a bowl of ramen. I typically order the tonkotsu red. The broth is always flavorful and has just the right amount of spice. Food comes out quickly and the servers are always polite and helpful.
google avatar

Alayah H.

Yelp
We had a group of 8 people. We would have gotten to seat at the same table if were all there at once but since its first come first serve we had to sit after different tables. I kind of didn't like that since I told the host they were a 3 minutes away and of course a table of 5 came in and took the area we could have sat in but anyways food was good. Dumplings and ramen were fire. Also get the fried shrimps so good and they come up super hot! Forgot to get a picture of the shrimps but definitely worth the try!
google avatar

Angela A.

Yelp
Visiting Baltimore and came across this ramen spot. It did not disappoint! I order the Tonkotsu Shoyu Red and Black. So good and flavorful yall! I also ordered the spicy edamame. All was so good. The amount of ramen served was very fulfilling. The host and servers were very nice and helpful. The ambience of the restaurant was nice too. Clean enviroment. It was getting close to closing time so there was only a handful of customers dining in. Great choice!
google avatar

Hannah C.

Yelp
Average bowl of ramen for a ramen shop. I got their black garlic tonkatsu. I typically like rich ramen broths. Their broth is fairly light. A lot of flavor and salt seemed to come from the garlic oil. I liked the pieces of chashu. Fairly tender and thicker slices than most ramen places. Egg was overcooked for my preference. Service was fairly attentive. People refilled my water several times. Inside was cool. There was some art on the wall and in display cases. They were also showing anime on a projector screen. It wasn't too loud even though most tables were filled since they have very high, open ceilings.
google avatar

Lysonia P.

Yelp
The ramen was delicious. I got the Tonkotsu black and red and my son had the Naruto Miso Tonkotsu. He put the spicy paste in his ramen and claims he sweated the whole time. He even liked the seaweed taste of the Naruto which I don't prefer. For sides we got the fried shrimp, vegetable gyoza, and the vegetable spring rolls. They all tasted hot and fresh. The service was great. The servers were attentive, and the food came out quickly. The ambiance is nice. Really not sure what to call it. There are booths on the left side and big dining tables in the middle of the restaurant.
google avatar

Kembral N.

Yelp
If you want ramen, check this place out! We ordered Paitan Red and Black wavy noodles (spicy) and tuna rolls. Ambience: booth and high table seating available. Chill environment with music playing overhead. There was no wait and everyone was very friendly. Service: good service. Quality: the food quality is the star of the show. This ramen was beyond delicious- rich in flavor with some spice. I had some leftovers and ate the remainder the next day- it has great reheat value. My fiancé greatly enjoyed the tuna rolls.
google avatar

Kimberly R.

Yelp
The only decent thing imo that was ordered was the samurai roll.. the flavor of the ramen was lackluster. Very bland the dumplings tasted old and the sauce was too overpowering this was a disappointment overall this was a gastronomic despair. And I wouldn't recommend unfortunately but this is what happens on food journeys can't win them all. The service was sub par as well seems like it was being ran by younger kids who just need a little more guidance on explaining menu items although they were kind. The ambience was seemingly giving "pop up venue" vibes

Yelp
This review pains me to write as I had grown to admire the simplicity and affordability of this place. I mean it's pretty good ramen, the question now is what else might be in the food. And I'm not a "Karen" as this is my first ever review. However, my experience was so bad that I had no choice but to spent time writing this. A few time a year I travel to Baltimore and when I do I stay in the same hotel on Light Street and Ramen Utsuke is very close. So I'd eat there a few times a week whilst I'm in town. This last visit will be my last. I take a few bites and I'm genuinely enjoying my meal when I discovered something kinda hard that I'm biting on, an overwhelming feeling of revolt and discuss shatter any sense normalcy as this thing that I was chewing on reveals itself to be a fingernail. I ask for the manager and the owner came out and I showed him. He offered to replace the ramen. I told him absolutely not. Just think about that for a second. The owner has no clue where the fingernail came from - did the fingernail come from the broth, noodles or one of the toppings that I asked for? He doesn't know. So how am I to ensure that the whole batch is not tainted (unless fingernail is a flavor they strive for). In fact, it is more likely than not that other orders where tainted with the fingernail broth. I was just the (lucky) one with the evidence of their secret ingredient left in my bowl. I should have warned the other guests of the contaminant that likely tainted their food as well. And the owner thought that his offer was sufficient. Not at all and the fact that the owner handled this in this way should give you great concern as to how he deals with food safety. He should have, if he care about anything but his bottomline, closed the restaurant or at least ensured that all of the prepared food was disposed of. Eat here at your own risk.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday night around 7:15pm and I was seated quickly. A few minutes later, there was a line of people waiting so be aware that it can get busy! Black and red to tonkatsu: flavorful broth, perfectly cooked egg, and it definitely does have a kick to it. The pork pieces were generous too. You can tell the ramen was made to order! Edamame: very hot so be careful! Good portion size to share with friends/family. I also got the honey mango hot tea which smelled amazing. My friend ordered a hot ginger peach tea but it never came out. Overall, good ramen, good ambiance!

Yelp
The host is a customer service superhero. The food is great! Since there were many different types of people finishing every bite if their food, I'm guessing everything on the menu is also great

Sabih R.

Yelp
Best bowl of ramen I've had anywhere, hands down. ESPECIALLY if you opt for chicken ramen or are constrained to it. So many options!! I had the chicken Paitan with red level (spice). My partner had the Naruto ramen. The pork and chicken chashu were both very tender. The chicken was poached perfectly. The egg had an ideal gel consistency for the yolk. The broth on both dishes was amazing!!! I can't find a single complaint about this place. I'll be back soon!!

Yelp
Amazing! Chicken Ramen was delicious! Service and environment was great too Would recommend it

Yelp
First, the customer service here needs some improvement for sure lol.. the host greeted us and handed us some menus. It's self seating. It was packed when we arrived. I guess everyone wanted Ramen today anyways there was only one table available and it was right by the entrance. It was also dirty. We sat down and waited 7 mins before anyone came over. I actually went to the front to inquire lol then she came and bought us some water. We both ordered spicy chicken miso with chicken broth. I got a side of spicy paste and kimchi. The soup was BANGINGG. It was so flavorful. But it wasn't spicy at all. We made it spicy by adding sriracha. Our waitress wasn't attentive at all :/. We had to go up to ask for the sauce and she barely checked up on us. It took her awhile to bring water that we asked for as well. When my spouse went to ask for the sauce, she said she saw the workers standing around talking..... Also, i found out at the end of our meal that they are spiciness levels. She didn't ask how spicy we wanted ours. I only figured this out by looking up the restaurant on DoorDash. I will be back, but I definitely wouldn't eat in again. Customer service means a lot to me. I'm only coming back cause the ramen is really like that.

From start to finish, I had a most enjoyable experience dining at Ramen Utsuke. I loved the lighting and overall ambiance, and the service was speedy quick in the best way. The dumplings were crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and tasted delicious. The ramen was the main event and did not cease to amaze! So full of many flavors and my ideal amount of spicy. I hope my path crosses this place again!

Yelp
I went here for dinner and it was crowded but I was able to get a seat at one of the long tables next to this big group of people. I looked up the menu on their website but it seems to be out of date because it didn't match the printed menus in the restaurant and the prices are higher too. I had the Calamari Roll to start and it was good. Could have used a bit more squid but I'm not complaining. They have a small "test kitchen" selection so I assumed that these items are experimental. I asked for the Tokyo Tonkatsu Shoyu ramen and it was very good. It came with thin noodles, half a hard boiled egg, three slices of pork, soft bamboo shoots, green onion, and bean sprouts. Everything was reasonably priced and with a tip, my bill was about $30. I was out of here in about 30 minutes. I'd definitely come back if I'm in Baltimore again.

Yelp
This place is not for the seasoned ramen-eater or seasoned Japanese food eater in general. My ramen felt like it was missing something. Maybe a dashi or base ingredient to give my ramen broth more body. It tasted a bit watery and amateur, but I can see someone who's not well versed in ramen to completely enjoy this and give it a 5 star. My takoyaki was hard so you can tell it's been reheated and not made fresh from a cast iron mold. My fried squid was pretty good, but very small quantity of pieces for the amount you pay. Great vibe, but overpriced for the quality you're receiving. I highly recommend Slurpin Ramen instead!

Yelp
Kippo Ramen used to be my go-to, but every time I try to go they're always closed. Also wanted to add the times I've eaten Kippo in the past few years, it's been takeout, which doesn't do it justice. Regardless, I've taken my family to Ramen Utsuke and thankfully they enjoyed it because they are hard to please. It's Monday, and I have been wanting to go to Kippo, but they are closed Mondays. Luckily for me, Ramen Utsuke was open. It was pretty packed when we got there around 7pm. We didn't have to wait though. The staff here is super friendly. They always make us feel welcome. The space here feels bigger, maybe because of the high ceilings in comparison to Kippo. I ordered the classic shoyu tonight and it exceeded my expectations. The noodles were perfectly cooked, whereas the last time I felt like they were a bit overcooked. The chicken was perfectly pan seared and the broth was very flavorful. The bean sprouts were also great. The bowl was so good I had to order extra noodles and bean sprouts. I got so excited about the ramen, I forgot to mention that the bean sprouts and potato croquettes were also very good. Will be back for sure. Kippo has a lot to live up to.

Yelp
This place was so great! Service was fast and food was hot and tasty. I didn't exactly know what I was ordering but I was very happy with the bowl I got. Poke bowl looked good as well.

Yelp
- Black & Red Tonkatsu Ramen Hakata style pork broth with black garlic oil and spicy oil. After a long day of traveling, this hit the spot. It wasn't the best ramen I've had, as I've been blessed with dozens of authentic ramen shops in the SGV, but it was tasty. A rich base with perfectly cooked noodles, tender cha siu, and the usual toppings. The black garlic oil was very peppery, but the spicy oil was great.
