Goa, India Dining Guide to the Food & Drink Scene - Eater

"Indian tourists from other states flock to this little restaurant, which continuously hums with Konkani songs. You’ll definitely have to line up for the lunchtime fish thali, the restaurant’s most famous dish, which includes fried kingfish, mussels, dry prawns, and a lightly spiced fish curry, served alongside rice and other items like solkadhi." - Zinara Rathnayake

Best Goan Seafood. I had the best kingfish dish ever made. The wait is long as its the mother/daughter cooking & serving. But all the wait is 100% worth. Very homely food. They also serve beer n drinks.

Eating at Ramesh is like eating in the porch/garage of a family home. The members of the family take your order, cook and serve you. It is as authentic and delicious as it gets! There’s dogs and cats to cuddle and keep you company, though they don’t bother you at all while eating! And the food was yummy!! I found the prawn curry slightly watery, but it was PACKED with lots of prawns!! And the prawn rava fry and surmai were delicious! Waiting to go back to try the smoked mackerel and the fried bombil which were out of stock…

A quaint little family run restaurant close to Anjuna beach. Tucked away from the crowded eateries, this restaurant serves authentic Goan thali and other coastal dishes. Tried their King fish thali, with salads, kokum soup and the juiciest crab gravy I’ve ever tasted. If you want to enjoy a quiet authentic fish meal, you know where to go

A place that serves home cooked Goan food unlike other restaurants you won’t cozy ambiance. Menu is simple , they have variety of fish thalis. If you are vegetarian then you hardly find two options either dal rice or fried rice. Since food is freshly prepared, the wait time is little longer. If you are looking for local Goan food then this is best

A humble family run household eatery serving some really freshly prepared and delicious home food. The hosts were really warm and hospitable, our bad luck that we couldn't try out their fish thalis as their freshly catched supply was done for the day. But still we could try out their prawn curry, prawns masala and pomfret fry. The prawns curry and rice was to die for and the pomfret fry was the star of the table. The fish was pretty decent sized and it was truly value for money. I will recommend this place to people who don't like fancy food and want to try the humble yet delicious home cooked fresh seafood. Will surely visit this place again for their thalis and prawns rawa fry.

The food is absolutely outstanding. I enjoy a good homely local meal and that is exactly what this place delivered. I called in advance and asked if they could get a big crab from us. And this crab made every single bite drool worthy. You will have to wait for the dishes as the mother daughter duo are cooking everything with love and care in their kitchen. The prawn curry, tawa fried mussels and butter garlic prawns were also fantastic. I’m definitely coming back every time I come to go

If you are staying in the Anjuna area, you have to visit this place. They serve the best thalis. The place is run by a family, three women to be specific and hence it is well maintained as well. Yummy food. Great service and ambiance.
