Our first stop of 3 Ramona wineries today. Kim helped with our tasting and I enjoyed the Cowgirl Kiss Rose and the Tuscan Sun Red blend. Nice venue. Come try it out!

Nice staff at this winery. We've been here multiple times. The latest time was for the Ramona Valley Wine Trails. This winery is located on the eastern side of Ramona with an expansive view of the road off in the distance and the surrounding area. I like their Tannat. I drink mostly reds so that's what I tried for my wine tastings. The others were ok.

Google
One of the better tastings I've experienced! We did 6 different wines for $15 and I enjoyed all of the wines (rarely happens for me). I would consider buying a bottle/glass of 4 out of 6 of them. Karen took care of us and was a perfect mix of helpful information and service when necessary without a ton of hovering. The atmosphere is wonderful, dog friendly location (if they are on a leash) with outdoor patio that has a killer view. Very chill spot, if I lived in this area this would be a regular spot for me.

Beautiful view. The Wine consulate was super nice and knowledgeable on wines. White wines were perfect to try for the tasting package.

I visited this winery for the first time 3 years ago. I quickly fell in love with not only the wine but the people. Joined the wine club and still loving it! They do tons of activities at the winery. We get to help with harvest. I have met so many wonderful people. They always have live music and they support local artists! Teri and Micole are so nice and caring! You have to visit and see the wonderful new tasting room with a great view! The wine is spectacular!! If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Google
Great wine, great service. My wife and I came here during the worst heat wave (Labor day wknd, 113 deg), but Laurel was great, and we had the place to ourselves. Beautiful property, and amazing wine. Reds and whites. We’re not really white drinkers, but with the heat, we absolutely loved the Viognese and even bought a bottle for a good price. Would highly recommend it =)

I have been to Ramona Ranch a number of times now and I can’t say enough about the place. I live in Virginia but used to live in California so I like to go back as often as I can. I discovered Ramona Ranch years ago and have enjoyed watching Micole and Teri grow their business and succeed on such a huge scale. On my last visit (early May) I visited the winery with my bf, son and his gf and we had a wonderful time. We tasted all the wines and were so impressed. We ordered a case of half Super Tuscan and half Multipulchiano. A few days after we returned home, our case was delivered. Amazing! We have twelve delicious bottles of wine to share with family and friends. Everyone is blown away with their wine. I can’t say enough about how amazing Teri and Mike are and how warm and welcoming they and their staff are and how much I love them, their warm welcoming winery and their amazing wine!

Google
Lovely view greets one as entering. Beautiful tasting facility with main room that has high ceiling, outdoor patio with tables. Our server was quite knowledgeable and very professional. Tasting costs $2.50 per wine 🍷. Ok with this format except she poured just one ounce. That's not enough to really judge a wine's character. My favorite wine was the Super Tuscan blend, which exhibited blackberry notes with a nice spicy finish. Still, very expensive for the Ramona AVA. The Montepulciano is worth trying. Wine is serious business, but atmosphere is set up to entertain people. No music for atmosphere.

Yelp
We came here yesterday . Nice views . I had the Viognier. And my other party had symphony a sweet wine. We were welcome and sat inside . It was a bit chilly outside

Yelp
An amazing family owned winery. The tasting room and patio is perfect to enjoy a glass of wine or do a tasting. The views are beautiful and very relaxing. I did a tasting of their whites/reds and all of them were very good. I am picky about my reds and we enjoyed all of them. Kim is very knowledgeable about the wines and was a wealth of information. We really enjoyed our experience here

Yelp
Situated on a hill with a lovely view over the valley. The parking lot is not the greatest and outdoor appearance does not give the best first impression. The tasting room was a surprise with its chandeliers and piano! On Saturday and Sundays they have live music. Tasting fee is $12.50 for 5 wines. Owner popped in to say hello to some wine club members. The wines were pleasant and made in small batch. So if you really like one, buy a few as it may not be there your next visit. Our wine server was very friendly. They don't offer any food and I am not sure if they allow you to carry in. Wine club is free to join and wines are quarterly.

Yelp
Came to this vineyard with my company after volunteering we did in the area. The rose and Tuscan red were delicious. Bought a bottle to bring home. Lovely area and the owner was soooo nice! Would love to come back and enjoy more time there the patio was gorgeous with amazing views.

Yelp
We hit this place on a perfect day when rain was expected and it turned out to be sunny skies. Fantastic music. Two wonderful guitarists. The wines were wonderful and unexpectedly good. They have special wines that we really appreciated. CHEERS to the vintner! . Took a few bottles home to share. Lovely stop and think it is quite special. Will be back.

Yelp
Great lil place for wine tasting and entertainment ( that day). There was this couple that played a violin and the other played a guitar. They had their lil dog who sang also. Great evening

Yelp
We had won a tour/wine tasting/charcuterie plate for 4 in an online auction. Teri, the owner of the winery, spent more than 2 1/2 hours with us, giving us a detailed tour and handing the wine tasting and answering all our dumb questions. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient with us. The tour was very interesting, and the wine was very good, and we had a great time. We did the tasting at a table in the room with all the barrels, but they have a very nice tasting room, as well as a nice outdoor seating area with great long range views of the Ramona coutryside. We also got introduced to many of the winery animals, including the miniature horses Thelma and Louise, and the pigs Carnitas and Carmalita. All in all, we had a great time and I highly recommend that you give them a try!

Yelp
This place is exactly what you would hope for from a small town winery. The view was stunning, the wines were amazing and the vibe was an 11/10. Alejandro took care of our rowdy group of 10 with an ease and comfortability I've never experienced in your run of the mill bar in Los Angeles. It was a magical addition to our celebratory weekend. Wish I lived closer so I could attend more events! They really make you feel like a local. You won't regret your visit!

Yelp
I had been trying to get to Ramona Ranch Winery for some time. A friend has a membership there and had invited me a few times, but it is a long drive from my home. Last weekend I made it out there on a rather rainy day right after visiting the camel farm nearby. It turned out to be quite the great day to stop by, as they were having a birds of prey presentation and we got to meet a hawk and a couple of owls, even though we arrived at the very end of the presentation. We went into the tasting room, and I found that they have a large menu of wines varieties that I enjoy. I had a glass of the Super Tuscan which was amazing, and my friend had a glass of the Sangiovese that was very good as well. Anyway, we enjoyed spending time with friends on the back patio until the rain changed our plans. A small band started playing inside, and they had a Brazilian food truck in the back. We left to go somewhere we could have lunch indoors, but I had a good time there. I look forward to returning on a sunny day.

Yelp
Thank you, Ramona Ranch! What a fun time listening to Medium High and drinking wine! It's super family and dog friendly! What a gem! The views from here are phenomenal, and the wine is very good! I'm not a white fan, but I drank those, too! I wish they had snacks, but you can order something delivered or make a picnic. Lots of shade and tables for you to eat and relax. The tasting room has some seating as well, and it's nice and cool. This winery is the place you hang on your tasting day, especially if there's live music.

Yelp
As much as we intended to just enjoy wine tasting here, but not buy from this cute, off-the-beaten-path winery, it was the final tasting, the Reserve Port, that swayed my resolve. I get weak knee-deep over such indulgences. Indeed, Mr. B and I now have one more bottle to find space for until we acquire some extraordinary chocolate, so as to not waste a perfect opportunity to roll our eyes in pure ecstasy. Good Port and Dark Chocolate: Food of the Gods.

Yelp
First time visiting and had a nice experience. They have a small inside tasting bar, but large patio with beautiful views across the Ramona hills and valleys. They're in the process of building a new, larger tasting room and wine facility, which looks to be promising. The afternoon we were there, they had live music, which certainly added to the atmosphere. WINES: Kim poured for us and was such a gracious hostess. We tasted 3 whites ('20 Sauvignon Blanc, '20 Viognier, and '20 Chardonnay) as well as 5 reds ('17 Whatever! Blend, '13 Petite Sirah, Reserve Super Tuscan, '17 Reserve Sangiovese Estate, and '17 Reserve Tannat). Our favorites were the Petite Sirah, and the Tannat which I haven't found anywhere else in SoCal. We love Tannat and I felt this one was middle of the road. Honestly, the wines were not really our style, however as I always say, wine tasting is subjective. Based on the size of the crowd and everyone seemed to be loving their wines, I would say to stop in and try for yourself. According to their website, Ramona Ranch is San Diego County's only certified Sustainable Vineyard and Winery. They serve a variety of interesting whites and reds, as well as tasty Sangria during the summer. They're pet and picnic friendly.

Yelp
I love this cute hidden gem. I stopped here on the way to Julian and the wine was super good and it was dog friendly. It has sweeping views and a great outdoor area. It was super hot the day I went (close to 90) but they had plenty of umbrellas and there was a breeze. They have great wine too! I came home with two bottles. My only gripe is there is very little parking. I found a spot so I am not going to mark off points for that. :)

Jim ..

Yelp
Great outing to do with friends or out of town visitors. Went today as a bay Area person with extended family (3 generations) and really loved it. The beautiful scenery of the canyon lands, great music, a terrific play space for youngsters, some fun food, and wonderful wine. Then we did the slow tractor pull through vineyard with the spectacular surroundings along with some guitar and singing (for those who wanted) and wine (for those who wanted). Just a nice way to be in a beautiful space with loved ones and enjoy the good things together.

Yelp
Great wine, beautiful location and wonderful people. I was here on a Sunday afternoon and they were a little busy but extremely welcoming and accommodating. Ashley was outstanding, very knowledgeable and friendly, I was shocked by the quality of the wine, my very favorite was the Aglianico, a rare Italian grape that they work to perfection. Tory the owner came and personally greeted my, how wonderful is that. I sincerely can't wait to come back and highly recommend this place!.
google avatar

Scott B.

Yelp
Great patio area for wine tasting with beautiful views of the Ramona Valley and their estate vineyard. Also, there's not a fixed tasting flight so you can try almost any wine on the menu and pay per taste, which I liked. Their Sangiovese is honestly one of the best I have had in the area. You can check out my full review at: frequentflighters.com

Yelp
Good winery with a good Angliani. Friendly staff. They gave you one tasting then took all of them at once to your table. Nice scenery. I would return. You can get a Ramona visitor guide book and they have buy one get one free tastings at other wineries.

Yelp
Good wines in a not so typical atmosphere! Down to earth and ranch minded vibe. Nice views of nearby mountains too. Very hospitable. The Super Tuscany was divine!

Yelp
Took 3 girlfriends and myself on a VIP tour of the winery and vineyards with Teri the owner. We found out it was the only designated sustainable winery in San Diego County. Teri was a wealth of information on growing all the grapes and the wine process. who provided background of each wine we tasted. We also learned about wine pairings. I'm so impressed I'm joining the wine club today. They host several wine events, member trips, music on the patio and other fun things. Perfect for a day trip or special celebration. If you get a chance take the VIP tour. The wines are superb!

Yelp
Set in the hills just east of the town of Ramona, this spot is only an hour from the coast. The property is beautiful; with the vineyards, granite boulders, trees, and pretty landscaping around the tasting patio done by the owners Teri & Micole. And, they have misters for those hot summer afternoons. The couple are super approachable, knowledgeable, and just may sit and have a glass and conversation with you! They are pet friendly (on a leash), too! Oh, the wines? For something a little different, try their Viognier, and their Wild Rose rosé. If it's scorching out - get a spritzer. Super refreshing!!

TJ Y.

Yelp
Charming little location with music and friendly, welcoming staff. Their wine is very good! Please don't buy the Tannat if you go; I love it so much and I'm going to be devastated if a day comes that they don't have it available for me.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a very beautiful location located in the Ramona Valley. When we arrived we were politely greeted and asked what we would like. Tastes ran three for $6 or five for $10. Super reasonable in my very humble opinion. The wine was good. I enjoyed both the reds and the whites. I was a fan of the Super Tuscan as it was great for the day. Go reds! There was ample seating outside and a nice view as well. Overall, I would recommend this location for a nice place to have some wine and hang out with friends. If you like doing both at a great price, this is the place.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times but I don't drink wine so I can't give a full review ... but my friends like their wine and I know they have won many awards. All the host/hostesses here are friendly and the views are beautiful. And the fact that this winery is close to town makes this a convenient location as well. I did go once by myself to see a "living with coyotes" presentation given by the director of the Fund for Animals Wildlife Center in Ramona. It was an excellent presentation and the employees didn't give me the stink-eye for just drinking water :)
google avatar

Raquel A.

Yelp
Wonderful location, beautiful views of Ramona. I decided to go for a drive this afternoon and stopped by, you can't miss the signs. This winery is full of tables and seats shaded and well placed together. I stopped by for the 5 for $10 tastings and ofcourse a full glass for the road. Bring your own cheese and meats and you will be so happy you did! I can't wait to return now that I know what to expect. :)
google avatar

Linda G.

Yelp
We popped over for a glass of wine, and everyone was so gracious! The patio is lovely, and we really enjoyed the wines. We brought a picnic of cheese and bread and a bit of chocolate. We ended up talking to the other guests and stayed much longer than we had planned. It was a very nice afternoon.

Yelp
nice people and location but unfortunately the wines arent that great. I visited a couple years ago and the product seemed quite a bit better.
google avatar

Yelp
After only one visit I had to become a member every wine they offer is so tastefully done. The Sunday concerts are a great time and the staff is just so welcoming. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Love, love this place! Not only is the wine exceptional, but also the ambiance is delightful. There is a row of long farm tables lined up down the center of the covered terrace, and high and low tables with seating fill the rest of the space. There's an outdoor wood-burning fireplace for chilly afternoons and early evenings. And there's a cluster of seating on the grass for an intimate gathering away from the crowd. The staff is knowledgeable about the wines on the menu and, if you're a regular or wine club member, they pay attention to your particular favorites. Most weekends you get to meet the purveyors - Micole, winemaker, and Teri, partner and co-owner. Both are personable and eagerly answer questions about the Ramona Valley winegrowing region. Many a weekend they have live music playing in the background, a local cheesemonger, or some other fun pairing to try. Or bring a picnic or charcuterie board and make it an afternoon.

Yelp
We enjoyed every aspect of their fine wines. Cozy atmosphere. Allie was the ideal host. She was knowledgeable and fun. Kindness flowed, and good insight of the wine experienve throughout our tasting journey. Make sure YOU go there to toggle over YOUR favorite.

Yelp
Ramona Ranch is one of the most welcoming wineries in Ramona. It has a stunning view that allows you to imagine you are in the South of France or on the Western slopes of Italian grape country. This is a comfortable winery in all seasons; it has outdoor seating with fire places and portable heating. The quiet and serenity is a perfect complement to excellence of the wines at Ramona Ranch. All in all, one of the top wineries in Ramona!
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
The experience at Ramona Ranch was excellent! They have a selection of excellent wines and the customer service is wonderful. I was really impressed and would recommend this winery to anyone looking to experience a great time with beautiful views

Yelp
Teri and Mike are an amazing couple who not only make wine but lovingly care for their animals and customers. My kids loved visiting with Thelma and Louise, TBone and the goat(I forgot her name) while we enjoyed their yummy wine which is made with some serious wine making talent! Their tasting patio is beautiful and serene and everyone there was so friendly and welcoming. We came to Ramona because of an article my 8 year old daughter read in a magazine and we were not disappointed! We will def be back again! It was the perfect spot! Thank you again Teri and Mike for the special visit with Thelma and Louise!
google avatar

Yelp
Not only is the winery beautiful, the girl running the winery is one of the kindest people I've met! My family and I (wife and 2 kids 3 and 1 yrs old) were headed to Julian when our car broke down on the 78. If you've ever broken down on the 78, you know it can be scary especially with 2 young kids. We spied the winery down the street a little and decided to walk to it to get the kids to a safer spot. We were welcomed with glasses of water and altogether sweetness! The kids were entertained by the animals at the barn (2 horses, a miniature cow, chickens, and goats). In the middle of a stressful situation, this winery was a slice of peace, kindness and generosity! My wife and I look forward coming back without the kids and under better circumstances!
google avatar

Erin C.

Yelp
Amazing winery that I will be returning to! The owners are so proud to tell visitors about the business and how far they have come. The most impressive part is that all if the Ramona winery owners work so well together. Couldn't be more impressed with the superior service! Will be back for sure! $10 tasting!
google avatar

Meghan G.

Yelp
This winery is such a local gem! Owners Teri & Micole warmly welcome visitors to their gorgeous terrace with stunning views. Taste delicious local favorites like the Viognier, Wild Rose Rosè and the outstanding Tannat, which is very well suited to the region! Highly recommend visiting Ramona Ranch Vineyards!

Yelp
Love this place! Wine matches my tastes, friendly people to visit with both those stopping by, wine club and staff. Love the patio and the fact you can bring your dogs! I have studied there, hung out for events like live music, informational talks, painting and much more. Always a good time even in various weather. I keep coming back and will keep coming back!
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
Not only do they have absolutely fantastic wines, but the hostess I encountered, Kim, made my time there even more enjoyable. Warm, friendly, awesome wines with great views. I can easily see how they got the best tasting room in Ramona.
google avatar

Renee M.

Yelp
I came here over the weekend by accident actually! I was heading to another winery and put the wrong address in my map, but we ended up here and my friend and I were happy we did! There was a private party going on, so we weren't sure we were allowed (there was an art event happening at various wineries) but we went up, ordered a glass of wine, and relaxed on their patio! I have their sauvignon blanc and really enjoyed it. It was very light and easy to drink! I will come back for sure when I'm up in the area again! The owners seemed very nice, if there wasn't the party going on, it would have been nice to chat with them!

Yelp
Apparently "busy" at this place means 5 people on the patio. The hostess didn't acknowledge us and didn't go over the menu with us at all. We ordered 4 tastings each and did not receive any in-depth description of the wines, as we had experienced at a previous winery. They have the measuring spouts on their bottles which, in my opinion, is always unnecessary. Having worked in the bar industry, I think it really changes the atmosphere to see those and makes it feel as if you don't trust your employees to make accurate pours - just a personal pet peeve. Not to mention, I don't trust that they pour 1 ounce as claimed. We sat on the patio and listened to the sound of constant traffic driving along the road below. The Rose was on the tastings menu but when I went to order it, the hostess said it was by the glass only. All 4 tastings we had were rather generic and nothing differentiated them or set them apart. The dessert wine tasted like they took the Cab Sauv and just doused some honey on top of it. Upon going to pay, the hostess told us one of the tastings was $4 just for that ounce, when we had told her we were doing a 4 for $8 flight. She said, "oh, I didn't go over that with you?" to which I told her she did not - had she explained the menu, this probably would have been covered. At this point, she didn't even offer to reduce the price of that single tasting but still charged us for it. I was extremely put off by the poor customer service and her claim that it was "busy" was just preposterous based on the small number of people I saw there. Mind you, it was Easter Sunday, and it was slow. If you're looking for excellent wine and a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere with great customer service, go to Grant James or Correcaminos instead.
google avatar

Rey V.

Yelp
We visited this quaint and lovely winery for the first time last weekend and enjoyed our experience with Teri (she is the assistant winemaker). The tasting room is small and fits six people comfortably. They allow you to choice between three different types of tastings. My wife and I decided on the all red wine tasting for $12. There are two reds that we really enjoyed, their syrah and Sangiovese. The syrah red had a hint of smoke that made us all crave ribs. We bought a bottle since there is only three cases left of the syrah. There is a fire place outside that overlooks the 76 highway, with chairs to enjoy the view. We plan to return

Yelp
I took my girlfriend to Ramona Ranch. I am not a wine expert, I do enjoy our local places. When I got there and asked about a wine I really enjoyed there the women serving made me feel so stupid I felt one inch tall!!! I have met the owners very nice couple. It was a slow day from what I can see. I always buy local small businesses. But I will not be going back ever again. The host was stuck up. Consider there are so many other places in Ramona to enjoy good wine.

Gretchen A.

Yelp
I wanted to give a better review as our experience wine tasting was pleasant and we bought 3 bottles of wine. However, as I wrote in a private correspondence to Ramona Ranch Winery on 1/24/2022..."We visited your winery Jan. 15 had a lovely wine tasting experience. Purchased 3 wines including the NV Super Tuscan - Gold Medal Winner which we enjoyed during the tasting. However, when we opened our purchased bottle at home to share with our adult daughter and her boy friend it didn't seem right. Starting with crumbly resided on the inside of the neck of the bottle. The cork was fine so it wasn't cork plus it was a redish-purple color. The smell seemed off as well. Once we tasted it, it was extra fizzy, sour and vinegar like. All three of us said it did not taste right. Have not opened the 2017 Bourbon Barrel Syrah or 2020 Viognior. Very disappointed as we were looking forward to a good glass of wine only to have a wine I could NOT drink. Hoping the other 2 wines we purchased are good." Two weeks have passed and no response to the issue. Now EXTREMELY disappointed that they did not seem concerned that we had a bad bottle of wine. We spent $55 on each bottle. This bottle we ended up tossing because it was not drinkable. Still have not opened the other 2 bottles.

Yelp
The wine tasting connoisseur was super friendly and informative! Great spot and a super boutique feel!

Yelp
We loved Ramona Ranch Winery, not to mention the customer service was above and beyond. Everyone made us feel so welcome and I can't wait to go back. Talia First Class Limousines took a group of us and it was way too much fun!! We all felt like VIP's when we arrived, thank you for such an incredible day in beautiful Ramona. I'm missing your wine and views already!
google avatar

Jill Z.

Yelp
I've been here many many times with family and friends and always enjoy the wine and the people. I've also been a member with my mom and brother for over two years. My experience today makes me completely change my mind and cancel my mothers membership. I came in today with my boyfriend and mentioned to the girl that my mom was a member she stared at me like a deer in headlights. Ok...that was her first mistake. We got through the tasting and my anger dissipated. We decided to buy a bottle so I thought she would give us our tasting for free...but no...she charged us the nonmember price for the bottle and full price for the tasting too. And then had the nerve to tell me i should join the club with my mom!!! I have been to this winery many times, too many to count, and this woman didnt even recognize me or ask who my mother was. Very disappointed in Ramona Ranch...there are so many other options in Ramona now...you would think they would want to keep members.

Yelp
While using lodging in Julian as our base camp, my wife and I stopped at Ramona Ranch Vineyard & Winery. Megan was serving that day and my wife and I were the only tasters at the moment, however, that was soon to change. Well, before a crowd came in, and you can easily experience 6 more tasters and the tasting room is full. It's small but warm and the wines were very good. Megan did offer several whites, however, I believe the strength of the winery are reds. The samplings were very enjoyable and the conversation with Megan regarding the direction of the winery were very informative. We've "booked" another trip to base camp Julian and we will definitely come back to Ramona Ranch, but only after we share the experience of our tasting, with our friends.

Heather W.

Yelp
The Ramona Ranch Vineyard and Winery experience is always enjoyable. The people, the wine and the atmosphere are all lovely. Teri and Micole, the owners and winemakers, are passionate about sharing their knowledge and love of wine. The winery is dog friendly, so bring your fur babies, pack a picnic and enjoy a glass of wine while you take in amazing views. I live in San Diego and feel very lucky to have Ramona Ranch and other Ramona wineries less than an hour away. Take a trip and enjoy a glass of wine or even an entire afternoon at Ramona Ramona as it truly is a special place.
