Not impressed... Order and pay at the counter. Potatoes are the frozen kind, that are most likely dropped in a fryer. 1 piece of dry toast; butter and jam served in a little cardboard container. Had to ask for ketchup: "over by the coffee cart" I was informed. Ketchup packets like you get at a fast food joint... Then I was expected to gather up my plates and utensils and deliver them to a bus tub...I'm not a bus person... All for 16.00 dollars.... NOT IMPRESSED by this place... I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone..

Really love this place. Brought a first timer and they were impressed. Looks very the consistency of their products and the friendly staff. New addition was the wine flight!

We ordered the dessert bar and a cheesecake for our wedding and it was all wonderful!! They were able to coordinate very easily with my florist too. I do wish we would have ordered a bit more than what was recommended for our party size, but overall it was not a huge deal. We continue to visit Ramone's frequently for any occasion and call in orders are a breeze! Highly recommend!!

Plenty of menu and seating options — even a back patio which is not immediately apparent when you walk in. Food is fresh and well-presented; not too much of a wait. Appreciated the copies of the free North Coast Journal available, along with the clean restrooms.

My husband and I were lucky enough to discover Ramone’s for our destination wedding in the Redwoods. They were so wonderful to work with and accommodating with my gluten intolerance for one of the cake layers. Not only was our cake beautiful, but it was also delicious! Everyone devoured it! So very pleased! We also stopped at Ramone’s for coffee and it was wonderful! We loved the covered patio!

This place has it all! Amazing yummy savory and sweet bakery goods, coffee, fresh salads, sandwiches and even beer on tap! Can’t wait for lunch time 🌞

I love this place. We came here twice during our visit in Eureka. We had cake and coffee and they gave us a candle and a lighter. On our second visit we had the bbq chicken pizza. I thought it was dry, needs more sauce and flavor for the chicken. The atmosphere is great with art paintings 🖼 hanging on the wall. They also sell wine by the glass. Outdoor seating is also available. Clean restroom.

This was my first time eating anything g other than dessert, and it didn't disappoint! It was quite busy on a Sunday around brunch time, so we had finished our coffee by the time our food was ready. I think they may have been a bit understaffed. The food was great, though, and the atmosphere pleasant for chatting while we waited. Enjoyed the local art and the people watching. Absolutely recommend the desserts, though, all of them.

Great food with a good variety. Servers are courteous. Very clean. One of my favorite places to eat. They make great desserts .

Came here today and well it was pretty good! Hot chocolate was delicious and I have little complaints about that, the chocolate moose was also great but the macaroni and cheese was meh. Overall good drinks and sweets. Come here on your way to work!

I really want to like this place, I've eaten here a few times and it's usually good. Unfortunately the last time I went was awful and the experience probably put me off going here ever again. I went for lunch on a weekend, found a nice table we ordered. I got a Kale salad, ice tea and that chocolate torte thing. The total? $31! The salad was $20. Then after I paid they said it would be 20 minutes. I asked about my drink and they said it would be up in 5. I'm sorry why does it take 5 minutes to pour ice tea into a glass? About 10 later my salad arrived... I asked for the ice tea... which I did eventually get. The kale salad was honestly one of the worst salads I've ever had. Kale in a salad should be cut up very small and / or the dressing needs to coat the leaves. I think everyone who's eaten kale knows it's all in how you prepare it. Big chunks with little dressing is ick. It had nuts and apples. Would have been better with spinach. I honestly tired to eat it, but it wasn't good. The dressing wasn't good and it just didn't go together at all. I should have got up and asked for something else... but I was trying to catch up with an old friend. When I asked for my money back they weren't super accommodating. I had to ask 2 different people, she went to talk to "someone in the back" and came back to tell me same thing. Gift card for the price and that's it. Which forces me to come back. Worst salad ever. I couldn't wait to get out of there. The chocolate torte thing is amazing. Really it could be 1/4 of the size, but it's very tasty. Also you should have lemonade, it's delicious with ice tea. Please do better, if you are going to charge $20 for salad it better be WORTH IT.

We love Ramone's!! This is our go-to spot for every "special treat." Humboldt Bay is lucky to have such a great place!!

I love this place but please, for the love of God and my palate, make the espresso drinks drinkable. There's no need to make the milk scalding. And while I'm at it, why not have enough cupware to sustain the amount of seats available?

I really enjoy Ramones. I like their coffee and many of their pastry goods. I often get a loaf of sour dough to take home - very good!! However, recently I got a breakfast burrito, and while it tastes great, the tortilla is too small OR it's too stuffed. So as an item I got to-go to eat while driving, I realized I couldn't and had to finish it before I started driving. Just a PSA I guess Great food though.

Lots of delicious bakery selections, friendly, efficient staff, excellent decaf espresso. We were in Eureka on vaca and visited several times. Beware: there's 2 locations with different days/hours of operation.

Coffee is amazing, my favorite in Humboldt. They need two baristas and espresso machines to eliminate the sometimes long wait. However, the staff, decor, and energy makes it worth the wait. One of my favorite spots for coffee, food, and wine.

You know how sometimes something looks SO good, and then you try it and it wasn't that good and it makes you mad about the calories you took in? Well, exactly the opposite is how I felt after trying Ramone's cinnamon roll. It was spectacular, baked to a soft perfection with velvety gooey icing heaped on. You should not go to Ramone's without having one of these. So good! My breakfast guest and I split the cinnamon roll and split an order of eggs Benedict. The potatoes served with the benes were gently seasoned and had a great crispy outside with the middle still fluffy. Really enjoyed the potatoes. The eggs were expertly poached and came with plenty of sauce - while the hollandaise was okay, it wasn't my all time favorite; seemed to have been missing the lemony flavor that I adore. Coffee is great; one of the best cups of coffee you can find in the area is at Ramones. Quick, efficient and pleasant service is consistent here. Very clean, attractive dining area and a comfortable covered patio seating area is also available.

Perfect little spot to start your mornings in eureka. Great sandwiches, delicious cookies that are homemade and good espresso pulls. I always happen to get lucky with this cozy spot by the entrance, and service is always spot on.

Perfect spot to come for coffee and grab a bite to eat.They have really good lunch options. Lots of salads, sandwiches, soups, pizzas, and other dishes that are delicious. They have a variety of sweets and pastries. Quick service!! They've got wine too! I also can't stop thinking about their housemade pumpkin maple salad dressing!!

Once again the kitchen at Ramone's impresses my taste buds with the Mini Street Tacos - recommendation from a friend, thank you friend!! Every bite was worth the juicy mess it made. I loved the slightly spicy kick of the ahi tacos, and the creamy pairing of the sweet potatoes with the chorizo is delightful. The Strawberry Goat Cheese pizza with cauliflower crust is always quite yummy too! Lovely to sit by the window to enjoy the setting sun, and the service is always polite and friendly.

Ramones did my wedding cake and it was perfect! I am from out of town and corresponded with Violet about the styles I liked via email. She didn't try to sell me more cake than I needed, and I ended up with a beautiful and very affordable cake. Violet was very professional and helpful, and I highly recommend Ramones!

Great food at very fair prices. Staff was very kind. We had the lemon poppyseed scone, molasses cookie, croissant, and two lattes, everything was very good. I highly recommend the molasses cookie!

Mimosa was more juice than champagne, hella bummed, especially since I just got off night shift. Next time I'll just get a beer. Food is good there, coffee is alright. Baked goods are amazing! (Three stars cause of the mimosa)

This cafe is known for their coffee and baked goods. I love that they have iced coffee with coffee cubes. They have non dairy alternatives for you. They also have alot of drink options from teas to coffee. I love ordering an iced coffee with almond milk and hazelnut. They also have Sugar free syrups if you're trying to be healthier. The baked goods are always a hit. They have some vegan and GF cookies I believe. The cakes here are always so good. I loved the champagne with raspberry cake. I have ordered from their catering service for a large party. The meatballs were a hit. Their charcuterie boards are always amazing and very pretty. The baked goods are delicious too. If you're looking for lunch they do have some pre made sandwiches in their fridge section for a fast grab and go. Their breakfast burritos are really good too. The ambiance and seating is great. They have ample indoor seating, and outdoor patio seating. They offer water to self serve as well. The parking on the other hand can be busy because it's by a lot of medical offices.

Walked in and was greeted with a big smile and asked if we were there for dinner. Told her, "Nope. We're here for dessert!" I had the lemon meringue tart and hubby had a shortbread chocolate dipped cookie. Both were excellent in flavor and texture. I didn't realize this place served breakfast, lunch and dinner, but once I did, I looked at their menu and was pretty impressed. Next time I'm town, we'll definitely come back for a meal.

This place was a great find for me and my wife on our short trip to Eureka. Awesome for both breakfast and lunch. Plus the coffee and pastries are sublime! I think we went here three times in two days. Highly recommend to locals and visitors alike.

I like this pretty room, and happy girls who run the front. I bought a gingerbread cake square. It is wonderful .

This is a warning to not go to this bakery. I've gone 3 times and every time the staff is rude and slow. The final straw was I ordered an over priced birthday cake for myself ($70) and they forgot to make it. Again, THEY FORGOT TO MAKE A $70 CAKE ORDERED 2 DAYS IN ADVANCE. When I went to pick it up, the staff was very unfriendly. Not just busy, but curt and outright rude. They looked for the cake for 15 minutes, making me late to work. Then they said come back later in the day. I went to work, came back and the "manager" had the social skills of slug. He counted out the cash to refund me and when I was walking away he said "don't forget your 50 cents". Really?! Rude staff, slow service, they forgot to make a birthday cake (they're a bakery?!!!) and all the guy said was don't forget your 50 cents. I got mad and he acted like I was crazy. Again. They took $70 and just decided to not do the order. And I'm rude because I entrusted them to make my cakefor a work birthday party and all my coworkers were not happy. BTW I made sure they all knew Ramones did the crime. What a horrible, horrible HORRIBLE thing to experience on my birthday. The thing that upsets me the most is I could have gone to SAFEWAY and paid a third of the price on a cake twice the size. I thought I was supporting a community business. What a mistake that was. There's no fire in the bellies of this establishment, they don't care about locals. Just rude and absolutely incompetent. Never will I go here again I'll just go to Safeway. And I suggest you do as well. Just shameful The front of the house has one role. Be friendly to the tops. And this hip, stupid bakery can't even manage that. A complete failure.

It was my first time trying out this local cafe- the scones and iced latte were delicious and I appreciated that they have the option of coffee ice cubes rather than regular ice. Very clean and warm atmosphere with a lot of seating. Will definitely be back to try their other baked goods. Upon reading the other reviews, I was hesitant to try this place. But I think it really depends on the time of day that you go. 10AM-1PM was when I checked out the cafe and the staff were efficient and friendly.

Very good pastries. They were out of the ones I wanted to try. Cakes looked very good. Smoothie was fantastic! Get there early apparently. Might be a location thing, but the downtown shop didn't have the options I was expecting. Great interior and service. Extremely helpful!

You all are amazing!! I sent email this week asking if you could make a special treat for a special birthday girl and you all really came through! Kelly called me and made it happen! I am so grateful and so is the birthday girl! I have always loved Ramones bakery (I live in Green Valley AZ but have been visiting my brother in your area for 25 years!) and now I love you guys even more!! Food is soooo good this pizza is the best I've had in decades! Service was awesome Ambiance is classy layback feel I'll definitely be back When I come into town this is the place to go they offer everything under this sunny sun and it is all good! You guys rock;)))

Came here before heading to the zoo to grab some breakfast and was excited after seeing the hype from other reviewers on the breakfast burritos. Ultimately was disappointed after the first bite and ended up not finishing.

We tried the ham and cheese croissant and a blueberry scone. So delicious! The latte and cappuccino were equally tasty. I would come here anytime I'm in the area and want a bite to eat.

This is the best food I have ever put into my mouth in my 12 years of living on Earth. I could die here and I would be a happy man. Every single one of the employees are the most amazing, wonderful, kind people you will ever meet. I would die for any one of them. The service is so fast you'll barely have time to sit down before you get your food and/or coffee. It's no wonder this place is always a bit busy.

Ramones on Harrison is a great place for a glass of wine and a snack! It gets very loud and crowded inside seemingly at all times of the day, but if you can find a spot on the patio outside, the setting is lovely. Prices are a bit high for alcohol (~$14 for a glass of red wine), but the quality of everything is excellent. Everyone working here has been very nice, even when things get hectic and busy. I especially recommend the meat and cheese platter - It is a steal at ~$16 since it makes an elegant light lunch for 2 people!

I spent three weeks at an artist residency where Ramones became part of our routine. We went there between 12-15 times to work on our writing, enjoy the atmosphere and drink their delicious tea. The staff was incredibly kind and we felt like we even got to know some of them as they welcomed us like regulars. Before I left I purchased one of their cups so I can remember the time I spent there. I even stopped for a matcha one last time before leaving town.

Very fast service, courteous staff, and tasty stuff! Local art on the walls that can be purchased too, always makes my heart happy to support artists!

This review is for the Ramones on Harrison. The food is fine but like other reviews I have seen, I have found the staff to be rude and aloof. I hope they can fix it and train their staff to be more courteous and professional. No one should ever be treated disrespectfully. It will be a very long time before I feel comfortable going into a Ramones.

Absolutely delicious food & cafe with plenty of gluten free options, & very tasty lattes & house-made chai. Absolutely in love with their decadent GF pumpkin muffin special. Not photographed: the literal best tuna melt on a gluten free roll, portobello focaccia sandwich, and the yummiest GF chocolate mouse I've had on the west coast. I can't remember that last time I was at a bakery that has this many gluten free options. While their baked goods menu changes regularly, there are always plenty of options to choose from! Highly recommend if you're a a local or passing through town.

Ramone's is charming and had us coming back for more. Good dark roast coffee, had the Benedict (twice in 2 days) as it was well worth repeating. The service was friendly and every pastry (more than a couple) we tried was spot on delicious.

I stopped in to get a gift card and decided to try their cafe mocha, well the young lady asked for my order, I said: May I have a cafe mocha, her response was a look of disgust and purposeful confusion, she said: A what? A cafe what? I repeated: a cafe mocha? Her face gave me a look of confusion looking at her co worker. I was like ok? So I said: a mocha.......then she was said: ohh ok. She made feel like I was a huge inconvenience and was annoyed that I wanted anything. Not sure what I did wrong but I will go else where. While standing there waiting on my order they are great at calling regulars their names, greeting them or hollering good-byes. Those who are not feel insignificant. I keep my business local because I believe in investing in my community. As a native to this area, it's important. This location has lost my business. Thanks for reminding me how Himboldt County needs to work on people skills.

Visiting town and I love a cool, local coffee shop! Great location on the corner, great people watching and my "witches brew" lavender latte for the seasonal coffee was amazing! Loved it, not too sweet and just an amazing aroma to it as well! Also enjoyed a shortbread cookie which complimented the lavender latte so well! I will definitely be back!

Ummm, can you say deliciousness?! So, since my hubby and I moved here, we have frequented this place and you know what?! We will continue to frequent this place! The Good: - Their mixed berry scone is good and not too sweet. I seriously don't feel bad after eating this. - Their blueberry cream cheese danish is deliciousness! Again, not very sweet but it's creamy, buttery, and heavenly with the fresh blueberries! - Their spinach and ricotta croissant is perfectly crispy and buttery! You can get it heated and I did; yes, it was YUM! - Their oat milk lattes are really good! My hubby said he could taste a roasted flavor. It has that espresso wake-up punch. - They have friendly service. - It's spacious inside. As I'm writing this review while we are going through the Covid-19, I love that they follow the guidelines. You feel safe and it makes me love this establishment more. I just had to add that in here because when a business shows that they are doing the right thing for health and safety, it shouldn't go unnoticed. This place has got my vote!

We like the Ramone's cafe. One of the favourites are steak salad, pizza with figs and gorgonzola and the fruity tartlets Coffee wishes to be better, not very fresh cream got us stomach aches few times.

Second bday cake fail in one month. Yep, I gave them the benefit of the doubt after the first one, shame on me. LOL I'm clearly a food snob to expect to get what I pay for but when you get crap & totally not worthy of their prices, I deserve to be. (don't get me started on the bitch staff judgy attitudes, I was in line behind someone whose cake was WRONG!) They fail terribly on so many levels, I just want knowledgeable bakers and stellar tasting cakes. This place is just practice to "hopefully" advance to another level (kinda like med staff here). All I got was excuses when cake 1 looked NOTHING like the photo I ordered from their website; my son scraped half the topping off to avoid his bros allergy. Cake 2 wasn't really a $35 6" carrot cake if they have to get to half its height with a disgusting, unbalanced layer of tasteless whipped cream, I won't elaborate on the super heavy dry cake. Absolute sadness is that palates here have NO clue what truly good food actually tastes like ...right? New IHOP is glorified :( and the Owners, sadder still! No mas

This is pretty much my go to spot when in Eureka. fantastic food, great coffee and you can get a local beer before noon. i will warn you parking and seating can be challenging during peak hours, and the line as well as the time to have your food prepared can be long, but I assure you its worth the wait. Id rate the pricing as middle of the road, but your buying quality, not starbucks.

Everything here is top notch. All of the cakes, pastries, cookies, coffee, food are incredible. It's hard not to walk in here and not get one of everything. Those espresso short bread cookies are an all time favorite. Just the right amount of sweet with the perfect texture. Can't go wrong at Ramone's.

5 stars for the pastries, -3 for the service we received. I'll admit I'm being petty writing this review. But as a first time patron asking a question about a pastry who was met with rolling eyes and a hostile attitude from the lady behind the counter, it doesn't exactly encourage me to return or recommend this business. Order here at your own risk lol

Such a fun and comforting place! I dropped by for a quick drink in the evening and the cashier Kyle and his coworker were kind and patient while I picked out a tea to drink. It's a good spot for a dinner or a pastry to go... Mmm baklava!

Nice little spot within walking distance of the hospital for a quick lunch break. Lots of bakery items to choose from and they all look delicious. The wait for food was quite long though, for a steak salad esp. My coworker had finished her sandwich and side salad before mine came out. Anyways, onto what I actually had... Lemon Poppyseed scone was the perfect little snack. Light and flaky and not too sweet even with the drizzle on top. The steak salad had good crunch from the nuts and the dried, sliced figs. The chai was a little bit too sweet and cinnamon-y. Worth a visit if you have time to wait.

Living out of town from Eureka it was difficult ordering my daughters wedding cake but we were so pleased. It was so beautiful with fresh flowers and absolutely delicious! Thank you for the great quality! Judy Barnett

Coffee is good and convenient location, was better than the one in Mckinleyville for sure. Friendly service and can call ahead for drinks

We spent 60 min and 80 dollars for take out breakfast. All the food and drinks were good but if I would've known ahead of time how long it would take, I would've gone elsewhere. We ordered multiple items: two breakfast sandwiches, two breakfast burritos, Thai waffles, two coffees, and an apple pie. The pie and coffees were ready right away. The rest of the food took close to 30 min to come out. They have lots of people working. I saw at least 7 people but most are focused on refilling the glass cases with pastries or making espresso drinks. Everyone that ordered after us got their food first (more than 10 orders). Admittedly some of them may not have ordered hot food but it added to the frustration of waiting. When I checked the bag (thankfully) before we left I realized they had forgotten one of the breakfast sandwiches. Apparently the person who took our order only put one of the two sandwiches in. We even corrected this when he read back the order but he was clearly confused by us ordering two of the same thing and only included one. So now my coffee has been in my hand for 30 min (can't drink bc of Covid and I'm waiting inside) and now the food that was correctly put in is getting cold. I have to flag someone down to tell them my order is missing something. I ask him to put in the order and I walk over to pay. He then tells me that they're out of croissants now (after 35 min of waiting, they likely had croissants when we first ordered). When I tell him we'll take a bagel, he says "with what on it?" I'm so annoyed at this point. I obviously wanted the sandwich we ordered! It took 15 min to get the final sandwich after the back and forth of the croissant and bagel. I'll note that I never got an apology or offer of good will for waiting an hour for food or for the person at the register's mistake, until I finally got the sandwich and walked out. "Sorry for the mistake." I asked for another coffee because at this point it was not hot. They did it, but looked annoyed at the request. We spent a ton of money and I tipped $10 on the original order of $59 for take out. Then the final sandwich was over $8. I don't need you to do anything other than get my order right and be polite. No one was outright rude or anything but I think they should have admitted their mistake and offered something to fix the mistake. They acted as though I messed up and they were just helping me fix my own mistake. Also, even without the mistake it was too long for some basic food. They're getting three stars for the food because it was tasty (although most of it was cold). I think this place is probably a good place and I don't want to be totally negative and nasty about it. But I certainly wouldn't come here for take out again and would triple check that the person taking the order is getting it accurately.

I supose something is better than nothing, Ramones is as close to nothing as you get. Expensive for nothing though. Get your coffee at Jitter Beans and wait for another county for baked goods.

Love the atmosphere and location. The food and customer service have not been consistent in my personal experience, and it's pretty pricey. Last time I went the folks working were great (yay!), but the wait times for food were long and my burger was beyond well done (I said medium when asked). I want to love this place, but am tired of being bummed half the time!
