All the New Restaurants, Bars, and Bakeries Opened in New Orleans This Year | Eater New Orleans

"I experienced the reinvented restaurant at 740 N. Rampart Street now called Rampart Treehouse (previously 10 Foot Pizza and Red Truck Clubhouse), which distinguishes itself with a replica magnolia tree and tableside flambé pizza after Michelle Healey purchased and reimagined the spot." - Eater Staff

Rampart Treehouse, Formerly 10 Foot Pizza, Is Now Serving Flaming Pies | Eater New Orleans

"At 740 N. Rampart Street, I encountered a reinvention of the space that opened as 10 Foot Pizza in spring 2018 by Noah Antieau and Nic Reddy and later became Red Truck Clubhouse; Michelle Healey bought it after six months consulting with the former owners and renamed it Rampart Treehouse. The original gallery-style artwork, wall murals, astroturf and an enormous faux magnolia tree with 500 hand-painted blossoms centered at the bar remain intact. Healey tweaked the pizza recipe and introduced tableside flambé pies — the aptly named “Flambeaux” is set alight with brandy to add a pronounced smoky flavor — while still offering regular whole pies (including Hawaiian and a vegan option), slices to-go (cheese $4, pepperoni $5, plus a daily special), and other menu items like a seitan sandwich, BLT and salads. She’s also rolled out community-focused policies, offering paid volunteer hours to employees and buying New Orleans residents a slice and a beer if they bring proof of three community service hours. The restaurant is open noon–2 a.m. Sunday–Wednesday and noon–4 a.m. Thursday–Saturday." - Clair Lorell

Off the beaten path but worth the detour. Top notch pizza and cheap drinks! Not watered downed shit drinks, legit cocktails and beers. Pizza and drink specials everyday. Always our last stop to hand and eat before we head to the airport. Staff is always kind and helpful.

Rachael was fantastic. She was a great conversationalist and made some truly tremendous drinks. Her personality made the experience even better, and you can tell she really knows her craft. Friendly, engaging, and talented. She absolutely elevated our time there. Would definitely come back and hope to be served by her again.

This place couldn't be cuter! There's a whole tree in the ceiling n the walls are painted so cool. The slushies drink I had was delicious and the pizza is really good. The slices are huge n the prices aren't insane like most places. The bartender was fun and friendly too. There's random quick rushes as people grab n go to do some haunted tours but we never had to wait long to be served. It's one of the places I've wandered into that I liked the most. Def recommend checking it out.

Google
This is a great place to stop before your spooky tour of NOLA! We sat at the bar, and we got pizza slices and drinks. Highly recommend the frozen drinks; they were amazing. Also the decor in this place is great.

Google
One of the best vibes in the French Quarter. Chill staff and delicious drinks—especially The Tracey. We'll be back!

Terri L.

Google
No complaints. It was busy when arrived - bartender did communicate throughout before during and after my order. Had a shot and daiquiri and left out feeling good. Pizza is warmed hot for you- I was a bit worried since they looked cold but it tasted very good once warmed. Atmosphere is amazing and the vibes are cool.

Google
Nice themed bar. They have pizza and salad. Friendly service and welcoming vibes.

Elizabeth L.

Google
The vibes here are immaculate. We came back for pizza and were told no while there were slices still being served and food on tables. When about half the people there cleared out we tried asking again clarifying we wanted the vegan pizza as my boyfriend has a dairy allergy, we were told “it’s been a day and we’re expecting more groups”. Unfortunately that killed the vibe and we won’t be back for drinks or pizza again. Since there aren’t many late night options (and other ones won’t even exclude cheese on a sandwich) this was really disappointing.

Yelp
Rampart first caught my eye while planning my trip to NOLA as a vegetarian. They have really great veg/vegan options! Plus, we lucked out because our hotel was only a few blocks away. The tree in the middle of the restaurant is beautiful! The ambiance is chill and lowkey with the bar located right in the middle. Our server was super friendly and helpful. We ordered a Caesar salad with vegan chicken and a Margherita pizza. The salad was so good!! It's always a good sign when a place can make a great Caesar salad. And the vegan chicken was a great add on. Now the pizza, omg. It's a NY style thin crust but their crust had a kick of spice to it! I wish I asked what it was. But that just made it like anything we've ever had before! My fiancé and I only left one piece behind. I think that says it all. They also sell by the slice but if you want the full experience and can share with others, I would order a fresh pie. We regret not visiting sooner because we probably would have stopped by multiple times during our vacation. But there's always next time! :)

Yelp
My friends and I stumbled in here when we were in NO for a bachelor party and we really liked this place. The bartender was super nice and even gave us a history lesson about the park and the surrounding area, which we all were fascinated by. We all got our drinks and hung out for a bit chatting it up. It was early in the day so there were only a couple other patrons there. This was a cool bar that I would definitely go back to.

Yelp
We stopped by this whimsical lil pizza/beer bar for a quick bite before our night out and it was a cool experience. We were helped out very quickly, staff were friendly, pizza was tasty & beer was nice and cold! There were booths and bar seating available. This is also the meeting spot for tours. The restaurant is covered from floor to ceiling in artwork featuring artists from around the world, my favorite was the magnolia tree with over 500 hand painted flowers. If you want a unique quick bite or just want to grab a drink, give this place a shot... you will definitely enjoy it!

Yelp
Amazing pizza with the best hurricanes in Nola!! Service was amazing with a good vibes. Always a go to whenever in town

Yelp
This is just a cool little bar on the edge of the French quarter. It opens on rampart street and is a nice comfortable size. It has pizza but I didn't have any. Bartender ( I think owner but she may just have been a proud employee) was nice and service was prompt and efficient. Drink specials were posted and were tasty and reasonably priced. Decor was quirky.

Yelp
Some of the walking tours start here. I missed mine but the bar was so inviting I decided to stay. It was an odd time of day so not sure what it's like usually but I had the bartender's attention so I decided to sit for a while and try out a cocktail. They have pizza by the slice here and I am required to sample every Pizza by the Slice that I encounter so needs must, I ordered the pepperoni and joined in the conversation among the ladies at the bar. I was encouraged to try The Scar cocktail which features bourbon, black tea, lemon, and crème de pêche, of all things. I went with it and enjoyed a strong afternoon cocktail and probably the best slice of pizza I've had in a few years. I say it's the best because they heat it so the crust is crackling and the toppings are melty, the right way but so hard to find, ever.

Yelp
This place has been on my radar for quite some time. I was initially intrigued by the flaming pizza. (It's no longer on the menu.) I finally had the opportunity to check it out. The décor is very charming with festive artwork lining the walls. The bar is built around a "Magnolia" tree, which is covered with over 500 hand painted flowers. The drink menu offers $14 craft cocktails and specials such as Vodka Lemonade (2 for $10) or premium Hurricanes (2 for $15). Today I was here for one thing and one thing only - PIZZA! Unfortunately, I couldn't stay so I asked for a slice of cheese pizza to go ($6). (Whole pies are available including gluten free & vegan.) The bartender told me it would be a few minutes because a fresh one was just coming out of the oven. Thankfully, I was only a few blocks from home because I couldn't wait to take a bite. When I finally did, this NY style slice was pure bliss! The top crust was slightly chewy & the bottom was foldable. The sauce had a good flavor. I could tell they used quality cheese by the way it melted. The addition of herbs and parmesan made it extra tasty. Whenever I'm in town, a stop at Rampart Treehouse will be on the agenda. Their pizza is by far the best in the French Quarter! *Happy Hour 2 slices for the price of 1 *Happy Hour M-F 11am - 5 pm

Tabitha K.

Yelp
Strong drinks and good pizza! They heat each slice to order and the atmosphere is so fun!

Michon G.

Yelp
First time there.. great location to our hotel. Pizza was very good, definitely would go back again,

Jessica L.

Yelp
Two vodka lemonade for $10! Can't get that anywhere really... hidden in the back corners of the French Quarter, super whimsical looking bar, sitting there feels like I'm in a dream...

Yelp
Rampart Treehouse was one of my first stops in New Orleans. I had bookmarked it on Yelp and when I checked into my hotel, I realized it was withing walking distance. The menu is super simple but fun. This is a great spot to stop by for drinks and some pizza. We actually stopped by 3 out of our 5 day trip to NOLA. The first day was during happy hour so we got vodka lemonades and pizza. Annie was our bartender. She was awesome! So cool and she's super stylish. She took great care of us. The pizza was SO good. I'm back home and I still thinking of that pizza haha. There was also ranch dressing made in house, it was sublime. Drinks were nice and strong. Interior decor was amazing. Music was perfection. It's such a chill place. If you're in New Orleans I definitely recommend this chill place!

Dejanae A.

Yelp
My friend and I had a great time at Rampart. We enjoyed our pizza, Caesar salad and drinks. Super cute place with great service.

Liz C.

Yelp
Solid pizza place, super fun decor. On a street which is not a great area on the fringes of the French Quarter, so I would not have made it there, but it was where our tour was meeting. The bartender was cool and the pizza was yummy.

Yelp
Killer pizza but the worst service I've EVER had. Today is 2-15-2025 and the two bitches that were working are the rudest people I've ever met. You would've thought they were Paris fucking Hilton. You work in a pizza bar you dumbass. Try treating your customers with a little more respect. Maybe your bar wouldn't be as empty and rely on ghost tours. And I'm sure I would've tipped you way better! Anyway... don't go to this place unless you want the stink eye and your pizza spat on!! Definitely DO NOT ask if they have Espolon!!!... bitches

Yelp
Complete joke of a bar. Maybe we just happened to come here on an off day, but this bar is probably the worst run bar I've EVER been to...and I've seen some pretty shittily run bars. A perfect textbook example of how to run your business into the ground. We came here on a Sunday around 8:30pm as it serves as the pickup location for the Haunted History Tour that we booked for 9:30 pm. In the 30-40 minutes we were there, I seriously saw the bartender serve one slice of pizza, 2 soft drinks, and a beer while pointlessly running back and forth from the bar to the POS machine that they curiously have closer to the kitchen than the bar itself...all the while about 30 people were waiting to place an order. I have no idea wtf the bartender was doing...completely ignoring everyone and doing absolutely nothing, while an additional 2 other employees were idly watching from the kitchen. I even tried to get his attention 3-4 times...and instead of apologizing each time he could've easily taken our order. Complete amateur hour. With a steady flow of customers coming into the bar while waiting for the haunted history tour, this place should be absolutely killing it...I just don't get it. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star.

Yelp
Pizza was great the spices were top notch. The drinks were meh and bartender was uninterested. Cute place

Yelp
We visited the Rampart Treehouse a couple of times on this trip. What originally caught my eye was the beautiful tree decor. It's prettier in person than on pictures. While there we had some delicious pizza slices! The perfect amount of thin, crispy, cheesy and saucy. The drinks were good, as well. I wish I could remember the names of the ones in the photos. I also wish I had gotten a picture of the Anna drink. It was my favorite! Speaking of Anna, the bartender that it was named after was very friendly and helpful. The vibe here was very relaxed. We had our 10 and 12 year olds with us and they were welcomed and not out of place. If we are in town again, this will be on the visit again list!

Yelp
Loved the ambiance inside the bar. It's a limited menu but the pizza was delicious and the salad was fresh. Be sure to order between tour groups, which filter in and bring 15-25 people to the bar at time. Would recommend this if you're looking for a break from fried seafood.

Hi V.

Yelp
When I suddenly got hungry this place just happened to be on my route, so I stopped in with my wife and baby. The bartender were friendly. The Madi and The Travis (drinks) were great. The Supreme Pizza was surprisingly excellent. I'm from NYC, so I have high pizza standards. My expectations were blown out of the water. Come here if you can. The music was great as well.
google avatar

Marissa Y.

Yelp
Super friendly staff. Good drinks, tasty food. Ambiance is great. There is a tree growing in the center of the room so there is a laidback whimsical vibe there. We ordered a pizza and a couple of beers and really enjoyed it.

Yelp
My husband and I had just spent all of Saturday, not joking 14 hours, walking French Quarter and then some. We wanted something quick and on the way back to our hotel. I saw Rampart Treehouse and it was a must. I was a little nervous because many claim decent pizza and fall flat. Both the husband and I were pleasantly surprised. It's simple, easy, and tasty! If you are looking some Chicago deep dish or New York slice, this isn't it. It's supposed to be a stop on your way to wherever. The drinks were decently priced and service was decent. They get busy too! Even at 8pm they were popping. If you want some good pizza in New Orleans, go here! Did I mention the decor?? It was so nicely done and took you to another world even if just for a min.
google avatar

Crystal P.

Yelp
I learned from our last vacation to find a place for lunch because after flying all morning and getting to the destination you want food! So I tried to find something unique and this fit the bill. Awesome looking decor, pizza surprisingly good! I mean we're from NY so it's hard to beat ours :P I never thought to put ranch on my pizza and omg it was so good. They make their own and it was just the best ever. I love ranch so that was just the icing on the cake. Service was good especially as my son who wanted mcdonalds refused to come inside this place as we waited for our pie lol. Though he did come in for a minute after I mentioned the pac man machine :P I could see if I came here back in the day eating with my girls and having some of their delicious drinks :P

Yelp
Personally, for my own taste, this place is just OK. For my other friends who love 90s alt rock, crushable beers, and pizza, they thought this place was a goldmine. I admit that this is a haven from the overpriced and overrated food of Bourbon St. Rampart's pizzas are way better than any pizza you can get from the walk away daquiri places or Willies Pizzas joint. The pepperoni slice was just fine. Not mind blowing, not terrible, but ultimately forgettable. Comparable to Sbarros in appearance and size, but not nearly as greasy or as doughy. While I would have liked to have tried a whole specialty pizza, my family was already full and couldnt eat more than one slice. The pepperoni pizza slices looked fresh and seemed good enough. From reading other reviews, some people think that I should have only ordered a full pie and not the slices. I find it hard to believe that the pizza quality would be such a huge difference. If it truly is, then thats a shame.

Angel P.

Yelp
Kind bar staff who made some gluten free pizza happen even though the kitchen was closing.

Yelp
We stumbled across this bar. One of my favorite places we visited. Great energy with a super sweet waitress. Good specials and the best ever bathroom!
google avatar

Yelp
Great late night pizza with great mocktails. Warm and friendly bartender as well! The bars theme is well executed it felt like I was in an adult sized treehouse!
google avatar

Ashley T.

Yelp
Me and my friend had some really really good gf pizza here! Service was great and the ambiance was super chill. Will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Sydney R.

Yelp
This place was a great find to dip in for a bite to eat and drink. The decorations are gorgeous and the cheese sticks were delicious! The vibes were immaculate here. It is right across from Armstrong park and next to a streetcar stop!
google avatar

Lori R.

Yelp
Friendly barmaid, drinks were good. We waited here before we caught the Cemetary Tour. Nothing fancy, but drinks were good and reasonably priced. Oh, and they had pizza by the slice!
google avatar

Dani G.

Yelp
After walking the French Quarter stopped here mainly because they had vegan pizza. Was greeted and told where ever we wanted, and got our drinks in no time after ordering. The restaurant is pretty open (most places are here) and the decor was really unique and loved everything about it. The vegan pizza was $28 and omg it's really good! Thin, but super yummy! Had plenty of leftovers. Just took a star down for the bathroom and the booths weren't the best for a plus sized person.
google avatar

Alejandra G.

Yelp
Such good pizza! We got a large Hawaiian pizza and pepperoni slices and my sister got a vegan pizza. The staff was friendly and the location was ideal. There were people smoking which was annoying but that only lasted a few minutes. Their slices are also pretty big. We took my 1 year old niece there and they had no high chairs but we made it work. There's some seating but it's also a bar.
google avatar

Yelp
I wanted to like this place so much. I saw a picture on Yelp as I was researching things to do in New Orleans and knew it was the perfect vibe for our girls trip. When we arrived, the bartender was so drunk she could barely function. It was kinda funny at first but then no one could get any service. It did give us time to bond with everyone around us. Most of the folks were heading off on a ghost tour of New Orleans and that was the meeting spot. There were several tours that met and left throughout the night. Huge kudos to the other staff who were working. The bartender said she was having a bad day and we felt bad for her, but I mostly felt bad for the other staff who were picking up the slack. We could see the guys in the kitchen working double time making pizzas and trying to keep customers happy. The bartenders who arrived to replace the original bartender were super friendly and got everything shaped up in like 5 minutes. The pizza was good. It was super cheesy and the slices were big and really affordably priced. My friends both tried The Priestess drink and agreed it was their favorite drink of the night if any of the places we went, and there were a lot of drinks that night. It is beautifully decorated. Even the bathroom was decked out in fake flowers. I'm hoping our experience was just a one time thing since overall this is a pretty cool place.

Michael S.

Yelp
Madi aka (Trisha) and Scarlett aka (Stephanie) are the coolest people I've met on this side of the Mississippi. Their drinks and hospitality are out of this world. The drinks are very tasteful and the pizza was very delicious. I really can't say enough about this place other than you should really try this place out while visiting New Orleans. Ask them if they'd like to hear a joke about a cow with no legs. It will definitely put a smile on their faces. Wifey and I will definitely be back. Much love from California.
google avatar

Clint D.

Yelp
The staff is incredibly nice and the food has gotten an upgrade. The garlic cheese bread will send youuuu! The house salad has an amazing dressing and the pizza is always solid. But wait, the cocktails are new and improved! The decor sets a fun ambiance, and just stop reading this and go!
google avatar

Tracy S.

Yelp
Pizza was yummy. Drinks were good. Ambiance is fun. Staff is nice. Give it a try for sure!

Yelp
Great Pizza at a Great Price! Friendly staff and unique decor. Easy to walk to from anywhere in the Quarter.

Yelp
Nice place for a slice and beer. Friendly folks providing a quick service with a nice simple place to relax and chat.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice stop for a cold drink, and it's right across from the park. People are nice, bathrooms are clean, what more can you really ask for? I had already eaten, but the pizza looks amazing. Def want to try a slice when I return.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped in this Pizza bar since I saw this small dog named Janet walking on the bar. I went to pet her and ordered a juice from the owner. The two other women bartenders ignored me until after I got my juice. They sell thin pizza slices for $7-$8. There were only 3 varieties. I really liked the vibe in this bar since the Owner was very friendly and tried to accommodate me when I told him I was a Non-alcoholic. This Bar is right across from Louis Armstrong Park's Neon Sign. It's on the Rampart Trolley line. But I got on a bus to get to Voodoo Lounge early. But I was 1.5 too early. So I first walked around until my ankle started to hurt and so I went back closer to the Voodoo Lounge. One van tour company is next door, so this bar gets a lot of tourists. I really enjoyed the Background music of R&B music too. The only problem I had was their one restroom smelled bad. It was nicely decorated. But I had to use the restroom after One guy who left the seat up and also left the smell.

Yelp
THE BEST PIZZA!! We went in the middle of the day and it was quiet and slow so I can't speak to the night life ambiance but enjoyed the decor! Bar tender was very personable and entertaining

Kennedy A.

Yelp
My family visited New Orleans for the first time and went to this restaurant twice! Great prices and great pizza and drinks! The interior design is the cutest ever as well. Both bartenders we had were extremely kind, especially Travis. PS do not park in the barely marked Mary's Ace Hardware lot because even if you've been in parked for less than 15 minutes to grab a slice of pizza, the owner of the hardware store will call the tow trucks on you (maybe it offends his small d**k idk)
google avatar

Alli C.

Yelp
GREAT pizza, cocktail selection, clientele and company! The vibe here was super cool and insta-worthy. Bartender was super fun and cute, and overall, this was the perfect 'last stop' for a night in NOLA!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun time. Good pizza. And movies on in the background what more can you ask for. Unique and fun cocktails and go take a selfie in the bathroom
google avatar

Yelp
A place after my own heart! We met the ghost tour bus here, we had pizza and drinks while we waited. The people and vibes were top notch. Easily one of my favorite places we found in New Orleans!

Yelp
Came here during our Nola trip a few weeks ago! It was near our bead and breakfast so we walked here on the way to Bourbon Street. ***LOCATION*** Not far from Bourbon Street and easily accessible by walking, as everything is downtown. There is some street parking but it looked pretty full. ***ATMOSPHERE*** The inside is pretty cool and it's a chill vibe. There is a bar and some tables but it isn't loud! You order at the counter then sit down and they bring your food out. ***STAFF*** The two guys behind the bar were super friendly and let me know about their deals, etc. They had a drink deal going on for a cup of "swamp juice" that wasn't bad! ***FOOD/DRINKS*** The pizza was delicious!! Definitely order a full one. I think each slices is about 3$ that way. DONT buy the pizza by the slice, it's 7$!! I think that's just for the drunk people passing by that want to grab a slice and go lol because they're already sitting there in the glass. But DO come with friends and order a full one! It's cheaper and fresh and delicious :) The swamp juice was very cheap and it was good! You could feel the alcohol but it tasted good. I wasn't really drinking this night but I did try my friends! The deal was 5$ a cup or 2 for 8$! ***PRICE*** Very reasonable! Especially if you come with friends and split a pizza and get the two drinks instead of one! ***CONCLUSION*** Highly recommend this place! One of the best places to grab food and drinks near Bourbon Street!!

Yelp
delicious food and quick service. Definitely a cool vibe and was within walking distance of our hotel.

Yelp
Pizza was good so was the Caesar Salad, only complaint was food takes time to be brought out
google avatar

Jenn W.

Yelp
I was told to come here for a really good slice of pizza by a tour guide and I was definitely disappointed. I was starving and just needed something to fill my stomach. All the slices that were available looked like they had been sitting there for hours. They kinda looked all dried up but I was desperate. I got a slice of a sausage pizza and it was crazy overpriced at $8 dollars. It had the quality and taste of a frozen pizza you would get at a grocery store. I am only giving it that extra star since they heated it up and it was served hot.
google avatar

Amy A.

Yelp
The pizza was good. It had a cool bar scene ambiance. We did not feel unsafe and we were okay in a "bar" with them. I don't think they expect much food service so they run out of dishes. At night it is dark in there. The bartender and cook did great jobs and were very polite. It was warm in there great place for pictures.
