I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but the customer service at Ranalli’s has really been poor the last few times I’ve ordered from them.
Tonight I placed an order through the Toast app. When I arrived to the restaurant, one of the workers informed me that the app was down and they likely didn’t receive my order. Instead of helping me figure this out, she moved on to the next customer to begin taking their order as if she were done with me. I then asked another worker if he could help me. He said the same as the woman. When I pointed out I was still charged for the order, he said “Well that’s a Toast issue, you should have called us directly.” I told him I actually tried that originally but their phones aren’t working. To which he shrugged and said “Well, yeah, our internet is out.” At no point was an offer to take a new order from me made, no offer to help me get in touch with Toast, etc. Nothing except an attitude from them as if it was my fault for not knowing their ordering systems weren’t working.
During another recent order, I used a deliver service app, leaving clear instructions on how to contact me when the driver arrives to my apartment. After a half hour beyond my delivery window, I call the restaurant and was told “It should be any minute now.” Another 20 minutes go by - the order was returned to Ranalli’s because the driver failed to read the instructions on the order. The same worker told me “Yeah, that happens all the time. We’ll send it out again.” I asked if she could please tell the driver to read the instructions, and she said she would. Well, once again, significant time passes and no order arrives. I call again - the driver had taken the order to the wrong address. The worker at a Ranalli’s solution? To send the driver to that address and get my pizza back from them. They wanted to deliver cold pizza that someone else has touched as a solution to this issue.
I’m really bummed because Ranalli’s was my favorite pizza spot in Andersonville. But due to their poor service, they’ve lost a loyal customer.
