"The upscale tapas spot in Fulton served as the backdrop for Robyn Dixon and Mia Thornton to discuss a heated argument that took place at castmate Karen Huger’s spring fling event. They started off with a pink champagne margarita, then Dixon selected the crab quesadilla and Thornton the Caesar salad—with no croutons—as an entree." - Vinciane Ngomsi, Tierney Plumb

I've dined in the area so many times and finally stopped into Ranazul. My friend and I celebrated a job promotion. We got there right around 5 PM and shortly after the bar was packed. We ordered everything from the calamari, ceviche, salmon avocado sashimi, pork stroganoff, and their shrimp orzo. The sashimi was delicious and plenty of fish per dish. The stroganoff was really good with the tender pork tenderloin and mushroom sauce. My friend and I agreed the shrimp orzo was one of the best dishes. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the orzo with the brown butter sauce makes this dish a must order. Service here was perfect. Even with a full bar we were served really quickly. This is a fun place to enjoy some drinks and yummy tapas.

I had the opportunity to try Ranazul on Saturday. I understand that Howard County is having a restaurant week, but this does not excuse the poor quality of food. The first dish that I tried was the beef tacos. The flavor of the meat was excellent, and the caramelized onions were a nice touch. However, the tortilla needed to be cooked longer, and the salsa served was a generic brand salsa like Chi-Chi’s. The second dish I tried was the Peruvian chicken. The garlic-heavy sauce was decent, but the chicken was drier than a summer month in Nevada. The third dish I tried was the chicken alfredo. Not only was the chicken dry, but the only flavor it had was the char from the skillet. The alfredo sauce tasted like Bertolli brand with no salt or pepper, and the noodles were not al dente. The person I was with ordered the Crunchy Honey Soy Shrimp, Crispy Chicken, and the Salmon Medallion. None of the dishes they tried were worth finishing. The waitress was young and nice but had no clue about the bar options and had to continuously ask a coworker about the different drink options. Overall disappointing experience, and I 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This is a pretty nice restaurant. I can't quite pin down a theme; some Latin, some seafood, some American. Overall the food was good but nothing that I will be rushing back for. The server was very friendly and attentive.

Party of two for Howard county restaurant week. Three course meals that were well prepared and appetizing, variety of Mediterranean seafood courses. Attentive service and staff. Highly recommended

Visited this restaurant for a special South African Wine Dinner and enjoyed a four course meal with delicious aperitifs between each course. The menu was unique, featuring a variety of flavors, including butternut squash salad, pistachio crusted salmon, lamb chops, couscous, and the best whipped mashed potatoes ever! In addition to the food and wine, the experience was augmented with table visits by the owners, who stopped by and discussed the wines and vineyards. Quite the treat and a departure from the typical night out. I'm looking forward to attending future special events at Ranazul.

This is the most incredible restaurant in Maple Lawn! Above 5 Stars, always above imagination! A hidden gem. Every Tapa dish is a unique creation, the service is genuine and personable. The food is not just delicious; the Buttery Shrimp Orzu takes you to a new planet, the Pork stroganoff is creamy and smooth. A serious celebration of the art of food!

Great, slightly upscale place for tapas and classic American fare. Tried the chicken sandwich for lunch today, it arrived piping hot and juicy. Pickles would be a great addition.

Even though they participate in HoCo restaurant week and I’ve been a fan of Ranazul, today was a bit disappointing. The grilled chicken sandwich was kind of bland and had nothing special about it. The soup was spicy, which helped, but it was like any other chicken tortilla soup
