The 10 Best Hidden Gem Restaurants in Miami - Eater Miami

"The Little Havana staple has been serving Cuban food for decades. Find traditional dishes such as arroz con pollo, picadillo, ropa vieja, and bistec empanizado with all the standard fixings like arroz con frijoles negros, moros, maduros, tostones, and mariquitas. Plus, the menu features daily breakfast specials, Cuban sandwiches, and desserts." - Stacy A. Moya

Quite big pates, cheap prices but products quality is low which leads to poor taste. We wanted to try real cuban national food, but I think it’s better to look for another place for this purpose.

I had the best cafe con leche here. Other than that, the food and service were 'meh'... borderline mediocre. The waitress might have been having a bad day, as she was far from warm and inviting and more like bothered that she had to attend to us. I had asked for a Cuban tostada, with EXTRA butter. What I got was a barely buttered piece of toast. The three stars are for the cafe con leche, but it was more like 5 stars on its own...it was spectacular and I will go back just to have it! I just don't take well to rude service, so it's 3.

Super good food. Very friendly staff and decent prices. Will eat at again next time I'm in Miami.

Fantastic food and service. Friendly and very reasonably priced. I ordered the Friday stewed lamb special for $9.50. A whole, richly flavored shank of lamb with a large Cuban roll, rice, beans and yucca with onions. Generous portions...this meal would have fed three people. Great ambiance, neighbors at the bar and tables. Good for single diner and families. Huge menu, good bar selection. Clean restrooms.

Good food, good service.... I don't speak Spanish but they work with you and the menu has English translation so that's nice. The only reason this place do not get 5 stars is because the bathroom was was a mess. The cleaning bucket and mop and other supplies are the first thing you see, it smells, there is apparently a leak in the roof so there a bucket and towel in the middle of the bathroom, the floor seems to be permanently sticky (I do assume from the roof leak?). The food is good, but that bathroom freaked me out.

First time here at 1pm on a Sunday it wasn't busy. What I don't understand is why they bring 3 cups of water being 5 people at the table. They offer buttered bread to each table while u wait and we received none. And incredible how we were only given 2 menus for a table of 5. I am disappointed with the service and quality of food worst tostada ever. ☹️ 👎🏼

This is honestly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Our waitress was so sweet and the food (and portion sizes) was amazing! The wait time was a little long but I'm assuming it's because they were making all of the food by order. Definitely worth the wait and I DEFINITELY recommend!

Great food, service is a bit slow (nothing drastic) you got to get waitress attention cuz shes serving other tables though she could be aware of ur presence. Food is really good. From Roasted Pork to NY Strip Steak to just a fresh Tuna sandwich to steak & eggs for breakfast. You can't leave without being pleased with what you ate. Strongly suggest. Been coming here since High School
