Delicious pizza, great space and atmosphere. They have mastered the wood fired oven pizza. Thank you!

Driving through town and this location came highly recommended. While I had already shared a meal earlier, the foodie had to stop in. I was greeted and served by Chaney at the bar. She was amazing, informative and very friendly. Started with the meatballs. Order came with 4 medium sized meatballs, 4 slices of toasted (perfectly) bread. Texture on meatballs was fantastic. Italian seasoning was a bit heavier than I would have liked however the sauce gave this balance. There was a significant amount of melted cheese I prefer a little less so the meatballs are the star! It was topped right before serving with fresh sliced Italian cheese. This was a great addition. Pizza - I'll start by saying this establishment has a wood-fire pizza oven. All pizzas here are 12". Decided I would try the carne. The pizza came out amazing. There was a perfect amount of fresh toppings and the crust was perfect. I say this as I only had a couple bites so I could review while fresh and took away. Leftover reheated and crust remained crispy. A small amount of fresh parsley at the end would have pushed the flavor to the next level! The atmosphere here is so quaint and comfortable with unique decor. Being able to sit at the bar and watch the pizza being made adds to the experience. It's very evident the owners ensure they are hiring individuals who want to be there and have a level of passion for it. It's displayed on their interactions and the quality and flavor of the food. VERY highly recommend!

Wow!! What a hidden gem. We are driving from Austin to Colorado and happened upon this fabulous restaurant on our travels. Everything was stellar. If you’re traveling through Coleman, don’t miss this place! The Caesar Salad was outstanding.

Google
The most disappointing thing was no diet drinks! We had two type 1 diabetics in our group of eight, so they had to drink water, which the water glasses were more shot size glasses! Some in the group thought the pizza was burnt and we all thought everything was way over priced. The atmosphere was very noisy and not cozy at all, too trendy. Will not be back!!

Google
Restaurant wasn’t particularly busy (well past lunch hour and well before dinner rush) on a Saturday around 3 pm. Exceptionally long wait for the food (over 45 minutes). I am a huge fan of wood-fired pizza and know that a certain amount of char is normal, however this pizza had so much burned black portions on the top and way too many burned spots underneath. It affected the flavor and texture significantly. Crusty edge was super hard like crouton, when it should have been crispy/chewy. Definitely a bummer.

Google
Rancho's had great pizza and the spinach artichoke dip practically disappeared after it was set on our table. I loved being able to see into the kitchen area and watch our creations come to life. Definitely will be going back when we are in town. #GoogleGal

I love pizza. I have loved pizza since I was a teenager. I worked at an Italian restaurant to have access to unlimited pizza. I have traveled to Italy and enjoyed their delicious plethora of creative pizzas. However, I have never had a better pizza than Rancho Pizza in the little town of Coleman, Tx. Yes, that is crazy! My wife and I had the Fungi and the Carne pizza. Those two could not be more different in their taste, but both were perfect. The crust takes you to downtown Rome, and the flavors reduce your speech to monosyllabic communication, such as: "mmm" and "wow." Both pizzas are strong, intense, crunchy, and tasty. I would highly recommend this place. The music is at the right volume and well-chosen. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is irresistible. We tried one of Rancho's Salads, and it was awful. But who cares? The restaurant's name is Rancho Pizza and not Rancho Salad, right?

Was just driving through the town and stopped… some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Crust to perfection and top quality ingredients.

Yelp
My dad told me he was taking us to an "award winning" restaurant in Coleman. I kind of chuckled but then realized he was serious. The Pizzeria is adjacent to-- and runs in tandem with-- a smokehouse next door. Mh daughter and I don't eat meat, so pizza was the better choice for us. All the tables were full when we arrived, so they seated us at the bar but agreed to seat us at a table when one opened up. We were at a table before it was time to take our food orders. My dad had wedge salad, I had the fungi pizza (minus the cheese), and my daughter had the cheese pizza. --she said it was the best pizza she had ever had. The service was quick, the decor was very "Texas"-- kind of sparse with wooden planks and dim lighting, yet modern-- and the food was great. We would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
This place was awesome! They spend 3 days making the dough. Almost all of the ingredients and shipped in from overseas. The Smoke Smith BBQ pizza was out of this world. Also great were the Carne and Popper pizzas. Then to top it off, we were given the biggest piece of tiramisu I have ever seen in my life. Amazing that a small town has such great restaurants.

Yelp
This restaurant is pricey; however, the pizzas were outstanding. We ordered some drinks which are prepared next door. The pizza was ahhhhmazing. The vibe is fun!

Yelp
The family were driving to San Angelo and we were starving. We stumbled across Rancho Pizzeria and now it's a must stop for us every trip. The pizza is hands down one of the best In Texas. However my favorite dish on the menu is the expresso float for dessert. Service is excellent also. Don't pass up this gem!

Yelp
They have the best pizza. Everyone is so friendly and we love coming here. Wonderful little gem. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Probably the last place you would expect to find a world class pizza place would be downtown Coleman, Texas - but here it is. I've eaten pizza in Naples, Amalfi, Rome and Paris and Rancho Pizzeria is right up there with them, maybe even better. All ingredients are fresh (definitely not out of a can) and the combination of flavors combined with the just right crust from a wood fired oven makes this a definite go to place, even if you have to go out of your way to eat here. We had an appetizer of a roasted pepper stuffed with goat cheese and cooked to perfection. My wife had a wine slushee that was sweet and flavorful. Do yourself a favor and eat at this place. You will thank me! Be aware that they are open Thursday through Sunday for lunch and dinner.

Yelp
Serving sizes are very small people working there are nice...only adding words to fill space because of the requirements

Yelp
My husband and I came to Ranchos pizza because a resident in our town Blanket Texas recommended it she said it was wonderful we should try it. So on Saturday, August 12 we came for a late lunch we were greeted at the door set. The waiter was actually a wonderful young man very attentive and the service was wonderful. While waiting on our order to come to gentleman walk to the door, they were sat by this young lady, and she walked off later our waiter brought us our salads. I asked him did he know if anybody had waited on the two gentlemen sitting beside us, he said no, but he would go and check. The same girl that said these two gentlemen came out and said that she was very sorry, but was there anything that she could do for them one of the gentleman was really upset and told the girl he had been writing a review on Facebook about how bad the service was and how they had sit there for 10 minutes . She took their order and she left a few minutes later another lady with gray hair, black dress tennis shoes, came to the table and greeted herself as a manager who also informed the gentleman that he had been rude to her waitress. Can someone please tell me how the hell can any restaurant expect to stay in business these days if you keep blaming the customer for the poor service that you get from an employer. If I had sat there for 10 minutes, I probably would've said the same thing or done the same thing and just got up and left that would've been $70 that restaurant would have lost and with word-of-mouth they would eventually had to close their doors.

Yelp
This is the only place that's open on both Saturday and Sunday nights when everything else is closed. It was pretty packed when we went on a Saturday night. Ordered the brisket pizza to go. Servers were really friendly, and pizza only took 20 minutes despite the packed restaurant! The pizza size was a little small for two people, I'd say it's a good portion for 1.5 person. The pizza was delicious though - savory brisket with crunchy refreshing onions and really good crust. One of the best innovative flavors pizza I've had in awhile!

Yelp
A large group of us, 19 including 6 children, are here in their back room. It was very comfortable. The service was outstanding and they didn't miss a beat. Everything came out of the kitchen hot, fresh, and very, very tasty. All the apps were delicious and the Margharita pizza I had was the best I've ever had, with lots of fresh basil and perfect amounts of sauce and cheese. The crust was blistered just enough to be delicious!

Yelp
Handmade dough and wood fired oven pizza. Service is excellent. Always a good experience.

Yelp
After hearing about this for years, made the trek after work on a Friday. Well worth the drive. The appetizer options are difficult to choose from, but landed on the roasted piquillo (pentimento flavor l to it) peppers and burrata cheese. The pizzas order were the fungi and arugula. All was excellent. A trip back will occur with plans to arrive early enough to enjoy walking and shopping the downtown area.

Barbara G.

Yelp
Had a reserved party of 15 for birthday celebration for 7:30. As requested by the establishment we sent in everyone's orders 2 hours prior to reservation time. Some of the party arrived early, 7:00, and all the appetizers and pizza were already on the table. The majority of the guests arrived around 7:20. We were able to enjoy room temperature artichoke dip, room temperature Cesar salads and best of all cold pizza! We had to go hunt down the waitress for our drink orders. Not one time were our drinks refilled. It seemed the waitress was more interested in cleaning the table than refilling drinks! We paid $72.00 for 6 side sized Cesar salads. It is a neat place for Coleman but we were very disappointed. I hope they take this review and learn from it.

Yelp
Full disclosure...I pass thru Coleman about a zillion times a year on my way to and from Austin. Several months ago I swung thru and picked up a Carne pizza. Extremely disappointing. The wood fired Neapolitan crust could not hold up to the heavy meat toppings. Covid was still raging a d not one staff me ever had a mask on. I didn't write a negative review cause I felt in my bones this place had potential. Fast forward to this past weekend. Hungry, less stressed about Covid, rolling thru Coleman I decided to give Rancho another chance. I called in my order. The street taco pizza looked intriguing. Unfortunately although it is still on the menu they are no longer serving it. Uh oh. This want loo looking good. I was hungry. So I went basic and ordered the MARGHERITA The place is run by kids. Very enthusiastic albeit a bit clunky at times, kids. My pie was ready, paid and got on the road. The pizza was fantastic. The dough soft and chewy. The under carriage perfect. Fresh and tasty. I'm really glad I gave them another shot!

Yelp
Large surprise birthday party and they were extremely accommodating. Great service, no ordered wrong, drinks always full. I will definitely come back and a special trip to Coleman just for the pizza is in my future.

Yelp
Their wood-fired pizza oven is next to the bar. In front of the pizza oven is a cold table with the pizza ingredients, and next to that is a stainless steel table for cutting and boxing the pizzas... this is all out in the middle of the dining room where everyone can watch. Needless to say, the pizza didn't take long. It was clear that they used nothing but the highest quality ingredients as the pizzas were OUTSTANDING! The servers were mostly teenagers. They were clearly well trained and frankly, impressive young adults. We were only in town for two nights. The experience was so great that we had to go back again the second night. Now, I don't know what anyone else's experiences are with restaurants, but I can never seem to find consistently great experiences at a restaurant twice in a row... great one time and a disappointment the next. These folks, IMHO, earned the crown jewel of operating a restaurant properly - and that's being consistently great every time! We can't wait to come back to Coleman, TX!

Yelp
What a great, unique place for us to have in Coleman, TX... The menu is gourmet & very good. I love the mushroom & truffle garlic pizza. They are very willing to work with you if you'd like something of menu... Such a gem for Coleman

Yelp
Hidden gem sitting right here Coleman. Not your average chain pizza, but a delish handmade, top shelf ingredients, chef inspired toppings wood fired pizza! We eat here every time we come town. The Cesar salad was unusual at first, but then I could not get enough. We eat the Fungi and margarita pizzas. Hubby said the Fungi is possibly the best pizza ever!

John E.

Yelp
Our server was good, but service was slow. Never had a room temperature salad before and don't want to again. The meatballs were good and so was the pizza. The crust should not have been soggy. Was over priced in my opinion.
google avatar

Kathryn T.

Yelp
Very chic industrial interior. Friendly service and probably the best wedge salad I've ever had. The fondue platter was plentiful and full of flavor. The arugula pizza though was to die for!

Yelp
I noticed this pizzeria on my road trip to Santa Fe. I didn't have time to stop on the way to Santa Fe, but on the way back to Austin I stopped in Coleman to try out Rancho Pizzeria and I was well worth the stop. I had their pepperoni pizza and their crust was perfectly charred and crispy from the wood burning pizza oven. The pepperoni was thick and the shavings of Parmesan were fresh. Their pizza quality is definitely up there with the likes of Homeslice and Backspace. The interior of the restaurant is equally charming and well executed. Next time I'm in this area of the Hill Country I will definitely come back.

Leesa P.

Yelp
Waited several minutes to get seated. The server was less than enthusiastic. The artichoke dip was served with 6 crackers. Ran out of tea twice and had to ask for refills. Waited forever on our pizza. It came out with a big handful of unmelted cheese curls on top which were not appetizing. The pizza was just ok. The whole place smelled of burned pizza and was smoky. We drove an hour on Sunday afternoon to try this place. Total waste of time. Had to ask for our check. Not a good experience on so many levels.

David S.

Yelp
Best pizza in the big country. The stuffed piquillo peppers are amazing. The fungi and arugula pizzas are my favorite.

Chase H.

Yelp
Pizza was decent. Overpriced and service was horrible. Waitress was more worried about her phone than taking care of her tables.

Yelp
Dinner at Rancho Pizzeria never disappoints. Always consistently yummy!! We ordered Espresso and Tiramisu for dessert. We got deliciousness!!! The Tiramisu is probably the best we've ever had anywhere. Our espresso.... holy moly it was served as a float. Vanilla ice cream and a shot of espresso.

Yelp
Had the Caesar salad, margherita pizza and pepperoni pizza. They were all great. Beautiful space.

Yelp
This place is very clean. A great atmosphere for dining on a date. The staff is friendly and the town as a charm all its own.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent pizza but it can be a bit slow if crowded. Still, if you are in this part of the world it is a great place to try out.

Yelp
Camping from out of town and decided to try this place out. Great service, yummy pizza. Not a ton of beer selections but yum.
google avatar

Taylor B.

Yelp
This place is very unique for the size town it's in. They make a great pizza and offer plenty of variety. The quality is top notch and the atmosphere is fun. It's BYOB so feel free to bring beer (with no up-charge). The drive is a bit far but well worth it for a cool date night or special occasion.
google avatar

Yelp
Driving through on a road trip and stopped in for dinner. Got the Fungi for 2 fun gals. It was seasoned to perfection. Super yum-tastic
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome hand thrown wood fired pizza. Don't miss the Big'O brisket pizza. Awesome salads as well. My greek salad was packed with tons of fresh tomatoes, black olives and other goodness.

Lindsey M.

Yelp
Just had the artichoke dip, carne pizza, tiramisu, and a bottle of pino grigio here and it was so amazing! I would come back to Coleman for this restaurant alone! What an awesome place to eat. Best pizza I've ever had.
google avatar

Alana G.

Yelp
Drove about 30 minutes out of the way for this. Peppers with goat cheese appetizer would have made it worth it. A glass of Watson Red 1 with arugula pizza was the best lunch ever.
google avatar

Cassie B.

Yelp
These pizzas are the bomb!! The atmosphere is really great inside too. My only complaint is it can take awhile for the pizzas to come out but that seems to be a common thing at wood fire pizza restaurants but regardless of that it is totally worth the wait!
google avatar

Kate S.

Yelp
Looks like Coleman has a fancy restaurant! My parents live in Bangs and the visit here when they want a taste of big city pizza without the big city. I really like how this place is casual enough to wear shorts to, but would also be suitable for a fancy kid-less date night. I couldn't wait to show my husband this restaurant. The only type of restaurant he knows of in the area is Underwood's. Our artichoke dip was pretty standard, nothing too great but the pizzas and wine are what makes this place stand out. This restaurant might be a dime a dozen in dallas, but I'm so happy it's found it's Home in Coleman. It's one of a kind in this part of Texas, so don't miss out.
google avatar

Cedrick S.

Yelp
I love this place it was my second time going. The 1st time I went it as before Covid 19 it was awesome. The second time I went the manager remembered from last time this place is a great places for family or a date. They will see more of me the drive is worth the great food and service.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food! Love the meatballs and salads. The pizza crust is delicious! Opinion: the Big O is the best pizza ever. The end.

Yelp
Best Pizza I've tasted in many years! Excellent on every level - service, atmosphere & food! Worth the drive to Coleman!

Yelp
Such a great place in a small town! Clean, beautiful finish-outs, nice wine selection. Sausage pizza, peppers and salads were fantastic! Great vibe. Absolutely worth checking out.

Yelp
I wish I could give this spot 5 stars but sadly I can't. I have never been to a more racist and unprofessional establishment. I came here Thursday 6/17/21 around 3pm. The place was empty except for another table finishing up. Our hostess sat us down everything was fine. We waited almost 15 mins and no one was taking our order. We asked the hostess since she was the only one around if someone could help take our order. She proceeded to go to the back where the waitress station is located (which you can clearly see by the way) and told the waitress to come serve our table. The waitress she talked to a white female, brown long hair in a braid then looked at my table and clearly told her no. The hostess then got another waiter his name Benjamin (real sweetheart btw) to get our order. In case you don't know I am Hispanic and you can clearly tell I am a person of color. Benjamin was also a poc. You mean to tell me that this waitress was too good to serve my table and she had to send the other poc because she couldn't talk to us? Benjamin tried to explain that she was on her "break" trying to diffuse the situation. However, the waitress in question started cleaning up tables and helping other people who came in, who by the way, were WHITE. So thanks but no thanks yes your pizza was good but I guess you have to be white to enjoy it and get good service. Don't bother coming here if you're not caucasian.

Yelp
Very delicious salads and pizza. The pizzas are so fresh right out of the pizza oven. The atmosphere is great and the service is excellent. It looked like you can bring your own bottles of wine and beer as well.highly recommend this place in the middle of nowhere, simply excellent!

Yelp
Passing through town on a road trip and stopped in. GREAT PIZZA and super friendly staff. Definitely stop in!
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely check this place out! Got a great bottle of wine (cab from Watson Vineyards) and had the spinach artichoke dip with a pizza that was half meatball and half carne! It was wonderful and made for a perfect lunch date as we were driving through Coleman! The people were very nice as well! Planning on visiting again!

Yelp
We are staying at their sister Airbnb and tried this spot out. The meatballs were excellent and the Wedge salad was great, good bacon and fresh wedge lettuce and a tangy blue cheese dressing with huge chunks of blue cheese. We tried the Big O which was brisket with jalepenos and the jalepenos added a great touch. Definitely a great place to eat in a small town.
