Randy's Wing Bar - Review - London - The Infatuation

"Randy sounds like the sort of person who brushes his teeth with Coors Lite, but he’s also the sort of person who’s delivering his many-sauced chicken wings from Hackney Wick (along with burgers, fries, and more). Order from here. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"Winner winner, we’re so bloody cold we might cry and therefore need lots of chicken wings for dinner. If you’re thinking yes same—or wow, the quality of this writing is so top-tier—it’s time to tell you about an unexpected collaboration that we’re totally here for. For one night only, Miles Kane will be doing a chicken wing pop-up at Randy’s Wing Bar to celebrate his new album. There will be acoustic performances by Miles Kane, there will be Miles Kane in the kitchen, and importantly, there will be lots of chicken. One of my most favourite places in London, I come here every year during summer! Food was genuinely so delicious. I received one of the meal deals for two people (it gives you 10 wings, 2 sides, and 2 drinks)— Korean wings are one of my favourites, the sauce is spectacular. I would recommend getting 5x2 wings of your choice, and 1x2 sides (so we got 5 wings of 2 different types, 1 chips, 1 coleslaw, and 2 cans of lemonade). Portions were good, the quality of the food was excellent. The service was amazing, they were really kind and gave us a meal deal (since we are students). Super friendly and chatty, made me ease up quickly into the place. There were only two servers dealing with a LOT of customers however, so it can get a little hectic trying to get their attention. Atmosphere was gorgeous, especially with the sun setting outside. Coming here during summer means you get to experience the wide open doors, the warm breeze soothing you over any hot dish, and the beautiful decorations really uplift the vintage/chill aesthetic of this place. It’s all so beautiful! The table my friends were on was quite sticky however, so remember to bring your own wipes to mitigate this issue! If you’re on a budget, then I recommend the meal deals (they’re around £20 with the addition of service charge). This place is not cheap of course, but from a lot of the ‘high-end’ fast food restaurants, this can definitely be affordable if you share the cost with more than one person!

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE GEM OF A FIND! Situated on a newly renovated strip next to the canal amongst several other eateries and the video arcade/bar in place “four quarters” - this wing joint was amazing! Service was friendly and fast, they had a great selection of beers and spirits and most importantly the food… you will not be disappointed. We had the 20 wing sharer along with some curly fries and chicken tenders - all cooked and seasoned to perfection. It was sad to see it so empty on a Saturday night so I do hope the positive reviews will help get this place some more business.

Mixed feelings about our trip to Randys on Sunday. The coated and fried wings we had were really great although the Nashville Hot wings were not hot in the slightest in fact the hot honey wings my wife had are spicier so quite disappointing if you are a fan of spicy. Great flavour though so no issues there. The reason I'm only giving 3 stars is due to the service and loaded fries which were both problematic. We ordered 3 portions of loaded fries in addition to 5 regular fries which were forgotten about and we had to raise this with the server who went inside and came back to tell us that the kitchen had missed them because it was a big order. There were 8 of us each ordering either wings or a burger with fries. Not exactly a challenging order and quite a poor excuse to give for forgetting almost a 3rd of the fries order. When the fries arrived the majority of our wings had been eaten so kind of pointless having them. In addition to that my fries were swimming in a yellow liquid (garlic butter I think). We had another portion of the same fries which were not sitting in this liquid so either one didn't have enough or mine had too much either way it wasn't very pleasant (see pics) Overall the experience was good and I would recommend the wings (I wouldn't order loaded fries again) & the Hazy IPA was really nice but if this restaurant cannot handle service on a quiet Sunday afternoon what is it like at peak times?

Visited Saturday afternoon for the high-tea. £35 a head, came with a drink of our choice each, 18 wings (6 different flavours), two burgers, loooads of fries, sticky toffee pudding bites and chocolate brownie bites. Absolutely amazing, everything was cooked and presented to perfection, couldn’t give a higher score. Big thanks to our servers, including H, who went above and beyond.

Randy's Wing Bar - Hackney Wick ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely blown away by this place! The wings are OUT OF THIS WORLD - seriously the best I've had in London. The Buffalo wings are perfect and those Korean ones are next level! The team here is LOVELY - so friendly and welcoming. They treated us like regulars even though it was our first visit. Our server was super helpful with recommendations and checked in just the right amount. Great atmosphere by the canal too. Can't believe I haven't tried this gem before. Will definitely be back soon with friends. A must-visit for any wing lover!

BEST wings I’ve had in a LONG TIME. Perfect place for a sunny afternoon lunch. The price was great and food was delicious. I don’t even think my friend came up for air with the Garlic fries. Can’t wait to go back.

Popped in for a late lunch on a sunny day. Staff were very welcoming and useful. The garlic parmesan wings (coated and fried) were incredible! Best wings I've had. We also had loco fries and frozen margaritas. All of which were delicious. I'll certainly be recommending this place to others!

The service and atmosphere was nice however the food was not at all worth the money. The food is bland. The chicken wasn’t marinated at all and heavily depends on whatever sauces they use. The fries just tasted of siracha. The Sainsbury’s pickled onion in the jars have more flavour. The garlic parm wings tasted of mayonnaise and not even the full fat kind. The hot honey wings had nothing hot about them. They sprinkled jarred jalapeños on them and called it a day. If their wings were 50p each then it would be understandable but for the price they were, not worth it at all. You’re better off going to your local chicken shop and getting 6 piece bbq wings. A shame really. I also forgot to add that the wings served were not even hot. How are the wings not hot even though you claim to have just made them. No one should have to pay £10 for 8 wings and 1) get unseasoned wings, 2) not receive hot wings and 3) low fat mayonnaise. Utterly devastating. Diabolical.
