Unbelievably the best whiskey I have ever had! So good that we joined the Whiskey club and I suggest whoever reads this you do the same. The staff was extremely knowledgeable as we came on a Monday which was super chill. Can't wait to get my first bottle from the club and be a continuing customer. Thank you Ranger Creek for becoming my go to whiskey in SA!

Google
Took my husband here for our 20th wedding anniversary, our first experience surprise and we both enjoyed every minute of it! From the moment we walked in and were greeted by their friendly and helpful staff to Mike our tour guide! Not once did I mention to the staff what the occasion was. To have a 1st time experience with friendly and knowledgeable people who work there, we will share our experience with family and friends! This is a hidden gem!

Google
The only reason this is not a five-star review is because there is road construction nearby which makes reaching the site somewhat difficult otherwise this would be a five-star review. Very nice beers and shop in a casual atmosphere that is both adult and family friendly. Service was professional and courteous. Beer and Bourbon were smooth and delightful. Food, other than in bags is not available.

Google
Great experience! This was our first whiskey tour. Chris at the bar was very knowledgeable and helpful along with the rest of the staff. Highly recommend the tour and the VIP private tasting was awesome. We will definitely be back! Thank y’all.

Google
What an outstanding joint! Perfectly placed in an industrial complex, so the weekend there is not too much traffic. Did a 1:00pm tour with six other folks and had a blast. Big Mike, our tour guide is a professional and knower of all things Bourbon and Beer! Extremely knowledgeable and taught us all many new things with regard to the way to enjoy Bourbon. The rest of the staff were very helpful and friendly to our other needs. Highly recommend a visit to this unique establishment! And if the pizza pie truck is there, grab a pie!

Google
It's such a beautiful place to have a great glass of bourbon and a good beer. Their beer selection is not huge, but the few we tasted were decent. The service was great and really nice. I would definitely recommend their Dog in the Hunt Amber Lager. The patio is large and pretty cool. I would say a must see in San Antonio.

As our Thanksgiving week ended with family we were looking for a fun and relaxing time. We found this little brewery and decided to see what it's about. The bar space is a bit small-ish but nice. There is what looks like a private room that would be nice if you wanted a cozy space with your group. They have a nice selection of brews and a great flight if you can't make up your mind, or are in the mood for a great personal tasting. They have a small selection of souvenirs in a room by the bar. They do also sell new cups they serve their brews in at the bar. While we didn't try it, they had a nice charcuterie spread you can order as well. They do offer a tour, which we also did not take part in and trivia nights. We enjoyed our visit and recommend a visit.

Google
Relatively small tasting room with some very nice folks behind the bar. I enjoyed the beers and they had some interesting cocktails on the menu. They have a good selection of quality spirits. I didn’t particularly love the bourbon but I did like the white whiskey. It’s definitely worth a stop if you’ve never been there before. If I return, I would probably do the tour.

Yelp
I do believe this has been one of the better brewery/distilleries I've ever been to. I love the variety of items they have. Their whiskey is some of my favorite to acquire when traveling into San Antonio. I like to check out their distillery release bottles as those have been some of the favorites in small batch releases. Everybody behind the counter that I have spoken to has always been so knowledgeable on their products and I greatly appreciate that. The i side seating area is also very nice! Plenty of room inside and then they also have an outside area. To get there, you get to see their brewery, and I always thought that was pretty cool. I'm no travel junkie but I highly suggest going here if you can!

Yelp
There's not much in the way of food other than a few bagged snacks but the place advertises that they bring in food trucks. The beer is the real draw and the San Antonio lager is especially good although they have plenty of other kinds of beer as well as hard liquor made on site that's really good. The service appears to be a family that goes the extra mile to make sure everyone is taken care of and they're very friendly. The location is in an industrial park and unfortunately there is some road construction nearby so it's fairly difficult to reach but well worth the effort. The ambiance is a brewery and distillery with large tables to accommodate many people at the same table.

Yelp
Super cool little spot. Lots of outdoor seating. Inside was love music on Saturday night, and our group sat in the library where there were books, magazines, and board games. We all had whiskey flights and played a board game. The bartender was knowledgeable and very accommodating to everyone. I think if this place could open a small restaurant somewhere what downtown and offer their spirits and beers along with a food menu, they'd kill it. They offer small snacks right now, but I feel like a small restaurant to expand their business would really put them on the map. If you're looking for a cool spot to hang out and have a drink and a good time, this is definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
The brewery is small, but very welcoming. We took the tour (included both beer and whiskey) and was lucky enough to be part of a small group. Mike is incredibly knowledgeable and was very good about answering all of our questions. Had a great time and as an added benefit, the beer was good too. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This brewery taproom is worth tracking down on the east side. Tasty brewski options. Check them out and if you like beer, you'll like your effort.

Yelp
This is a hidden Brewery and distillery in San Antonio Texas. Pay attention to street signs as we missed the turn the first time and had to drive a bit in order to arrive where we needed to be. Once we arrived we were greeted by friendly employees. We checked in and used the YELP offer of buy 1 beer and get 1 free, which was much needed as it was a very hot day in San Antonio Texas. While drinking our nice cold delicious beers one of the master brewers came out and started talking to us and offered us a tour of the distillery. WOW, just Wow. San Antonio Texas is brewing some great beer and Texas Whiskey with some friendly and great people getting the job done. The ambiance here is welcoming. They have an A/C indoor area and a nice shade area that they use on the weekends. Go, enjoy drink something great and make some new friends.

Yelp
We came here on a random Saturday afternoon and they were playing Singo! It was our first time playing and it was fun! The host did a great job. Because of the game, we stayed longer than we probably would have! We had a beer and cocktail each. The beer is so good and each flavor is full-bodied! I ordered a Blondetastic and my husband ordered a Skytrooper IPA. I also ordered a "Ranger-Rita" that was amazing! Everyone is so nice here! We hadn't been in like 6 years or so and did a tour. It has grown and changed so much! Loved the vibe and we will be back! My only hang-up with them is WHY ARRE YOU CLOSED SUNDAYS?!

Yelp
We were just visiting the San Antonio area from RI and decided to pop in here to have a beer and try their whiskey. The staff, beer, and whiskey were incredible. Highly recommended!! 5 stars all the way.

Yelp
Visited on a Saturday night for Singo. Food includes a food truck and it was very good (German). Singo was a blast and everyone sang along. Drinks were decent especially because usually a brewery only serves beer, but they have a good selection of liquor. The two stars are for service. All of us ordered at different times and each had a story to tell about the jerk behind the bar. Even resulted in one of our group getting teared up. Not good if you make your clientele cry. Too bad because Singo was a blast and the DJ did a great job of getting everyone engaged and singing out loud. Maybe the bartender had an off night but I am not planning to return.

Yelp
Great place to hangout with friends and enjoy some good beer and even "gooder" bourbon/whiskey. Staff was friendly and willing to offer insight on what they have on tap and what they're pouring. Wish they had food options to go along with what they're offering as there were none available when I visited. Hope to return again and do the tour and tasting for more insight and introductions to what they're making at this place.

Yelp
Last time we were here was in 2017, went a couple of times in that year. Before YELP. So we had an hour or so to kill, so we decided to come back and check it out. I am so glad we did. The place is small, but they have made great use of the small space. They have increased seating, indoor and outdoor. Sofas, and high bar stools and tables. The staff welcomes you politely and quickly. The bar is a few steps away from the front door. We got to walk around the place to see the new seating, and I love it. Plenty of areas to sit and mingle. Let's go back to mingling. They have both beer and whiskey, they brew and distill here. So you get a choice of drinks. I'm not on whiskey, but I have friends who are and don't drink a lot of beer. So this place is great for both crowds. We didn't see any food menus, but I'm pretty sure they get a food truck or two come. I didn't make it to the back patio, but I asked if smoking cigars is allowed in the back patio. The bartender said yes, and he is also a cigar smoker. YEAH. Parking is kinda limited. You can park on the street, this brewery is right in the middle of a business complex. At the moment, I35 is being worked on, but dealing with a bit of construction is worth the trip out here. I LOVE THIS PLACE.

Yelp
3/5, December 2023. We stopped here while visiting San Antonio around Christmas. It's a little off the beaten path but came highly recommended. The atmosphere was cool and and the beer was. We don't really enjoy whiskey so we passed on that. If you are a fan whiskey I would add one star to this review based on local recommendations. Overall it was a nice stop on our local brewery tour.

Yelp
Cool spot! Extremely clean and great beers! The customer service was very well appreciated!

Yelp
Nice place to hangout and have a good beverage. They play oldies and have card & board games for guests to enjoy. Hubby and I had a good game of war going. Staff is friendly and cocktails are made with house made liquors.

Yelp
Ranger Creek is a hidden gem! Tucked inside an industrial park you will find a fine brewery. The ambiance is very chill and unpretentious. The staff know their product and have everything from beer to whisky which is all their own. They also have special events like adult slushy night (a favorite). They do offer a charcuterie board which is MASSIVE but otherwise don't have a kitchen. They do rotate through food trucks though. Plenty of beer options!

Yelp
Came here for a couple of after work visit drinks with a colleague and drove up for a couple of beers. I've had their lager in cans before and I thought it was ok. I wanted to come here to try out their whiskeys as well as their beers too so I thought I would come try them both. The brewery is in an industrial area like a majority of breweries but it was easy to spot, there was a hot dog cart out front during my visit. Their tap lineup was a lot of darker beers and the first I tried was their Wee Heavy, a scotch ale without hops. On top of that there was plenty of space in and outside-you walk through the production space into their backyard. The space was nice and the beers were good. I didn't get a chance to try their spirits though.

Yelp
Went for Singo night (bingo... but with music instead of numbers) -- great time to have drinks with entertainment! Good selection of drinks and a food truck was available for bites. Check their website for events!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem along the Texas Whiskey Trail. If you like whiskey or beer, make it a priority to come visit this place - you will not be let down. I got a flight with a sample of all eight that they were currently offering. To say I was blown away was an understatement... I now have multiple bottles from Ranger Creek. The rimfire had an incredibly unique mesquite taste along with a chocolatey aftertaste. It was balanced perfectly, its pure magic how they pulled it off. Without hesitation, I would recommend this fine establishment for a must-go.
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in a couple days ago for the first time. He had a flight of whiskey and a beer. I had one beer - sky trooper. The beer wasn't my absolute favorite but I drank it. We visited during a slower time so it was super quiet and low key. We were the only ones in there for a while.
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
I love the concept behind it, especially for those who love beer and whiskey. A bit on the pricey side. When it's busy, it does seem kinda small, but if not, there a good amount of tables available. Kinda pricey but the drinks are strong so can't complain.

Vickie L.

Yelp
great selection of craft beers. nice venue, both inside and outside patio area where bands perform

Yelp
Ranger creek is always a good place to go to. I enjoy coming here with a group or just with one other person. The staff is always fun and friendly. There are food trucks here sometimes, it's best to look on their FB or instagram to see if when you're going if there will be food. You can always bring food too!
google avatar

Yelp
Great little tap room with delicious offerings, both beer and spirits. I had flight of beer and a flight of whiskey and really enjoyed both. The staff is super friendly, and the space is very welcoming. Awesome place to hang for a while, grab a happy beer or plan a date night. No food, but you can bring your own! Drink local!
google avatar

Selanie T.

Yelp
Very informative and fun tour. Great drinks. Highly recommend going on the tour and tasting! Great date night idea!

Yelp
Off the beaten path in a light industrial/warehouse district. Ample street parking. Nice little taproom, there was a private event our back so that area was reserved. There was a pizza food truck when we visited and beanbags/corn hole out back. The whiskey was ok, definitely a bit of burn. I like bourbon, a lot. I have a fair collection at home. I didn't like these enough to buy. I drink it neat. The beer is good.

Terry E.

Yelp
Very inviting and friendly atmosphere. I come here for some quiet time and a good beer and I was not disappointed. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Thank you. My back story is this is my 36th anniversary. My wife passed away a few years ago and I needed a good beer and a place to reflect. Your staff provided both. Thank you.
google avatar

Tyra G.

Yelp
It's fun to go. They have a great place to sit indoor and outdoor. I like it best when they have their special events.

Desiree V.

Yelp
I went here for a professional event, and it was great! Lots of beer, cocktails and even mocktails! Great decor and space as well. Definitely will be back!

Chris V.

Yelp
Beer is good. Bartender was not very hospitable. Short and rude. He made good drinks though but won't return due to the unfriendliness. Just don't need that negativity nowadays. Good luck to you all.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. It was a 12 min drive from downtown. Lots of parking on a Saturday. It was easy to make reservation online. When we arrived we checked in. 10.00 for 90 minute tour. It included tasting of bourbon and two pints of beer with a souvenir glass. My husband paid additional 45 for a VIP to be added for three of our adult kids and 12.00 for a flight. The VIP was a great experience for them. We brought bbq, and snacks. We ate snacks while we did our tour. I highly recommend to bring food. They only have a cheese board. Great value for a great experience. Btw restrooms are clean!

Karen D.

Yelp
Great beers! Nice choice of shirts and goodies! Very impressed. Did a whiskey tour a few years ago that was awesome!
google avatar

Renee B.

Yelp
Skytrooper and salt&lime beers, delicious!. Awesome tour, did not know I was tasting whiskey wrong all these years!

Yelp
I booked a virtual whiskey tasting here for our leadership team at work and boy was it worth every (very reasonably priced) penny. Dennis - Helped me set everything up, was super helpful and tolerated my constant check-ins to make sure everything was going well. The samples - All came on time, despite the freak weather in Texas. And the presentation of said samples was very impressive. Not just a few samples thrown in a cardboard box, but individually labeled bottles in a branded wooden box with a tasting card, lovingly packaged to ensure no wasted whiskey. Mike - Our host, was friendly, knowledgeable, and pretty dang funny. He was great at involving everyone in the tasting convo, even those who opted out of having whiskey. Overall, great virtual tasting that I will 100% be doing again even outside of the covid times. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Breweries are my jam!! Ranger Creek is a great place to kick back and enjoy craft beer. They regularly have fun events with food and a special release brew or two. The Mardi Gras event this past Saturday was great complete with a crawfish boil and two special brews they released just for the day. Love Struck Hefe is my personal favorite, a German style hefeweizen with banana, citrus and clove aromas and the Sunday Morning Coming Down has a unique coffee flavor that is surprisingly delicious. Overall Ranger Creek has done a great job of marketing themselves on social media with great events that feature their beers and whiskey.
google avatar

Roy G.

Yelp
Fantastic place. Great tour ends with amazing beer and whiskey. Always a winner for Christmas or birthday gifts.
google avatar

Paul C.

Yelp
Right from the get go this place became a mecca for people who like to wonderful experience. I toast the detail of paying attention to quality and taste. You'll be able to brag about going here, time and again. Returning again often. Enjoy!
google avatar

Brent L.

Yelp
WHAT WHAT? A distillery AND a brewery all in one place? I didn't think this was possible! Whiskey flights and beer flights are both available here folks. You can truly sample it all here. It's a cool, laid back place, but the tables do fill up quick on weekend afternoons. There's 10 or 12 picnic tables inside and more outside under an awning (in the back). Yes, I scoped it out for y'all - you're welcome. The line to get beer or whiskey refills isn't bad at all. There's usually a food truck out front and they also allow you to bring your own food inside, so I'll give them a star for that!
google avatar

Diana G.

Yelp
This place has come a long way. They now have a nice back patio making it easier to get together with people. The day we went, they had a live jazz band. The beer, whiskey and cocktails never disappoint. I love that they often have special events. You can buy small batch liquor bottles to go if any Of theirs whiskeys Interest you. I had been there before and they had whiskey flights. This particular time they did not. One more thing that makes this place awesome is that they are dog friendly. It is nice to have a place that lets yours furry friend hang out.

Yelp
I left SA in 2015 and haven't been back to this Distillery since then. I was lucky that I'm still part of their bi-weekly volunteering list for bottling and labeling, but I wasn't able to make it to the last few trips, until last week. It was still a great experience and I enjoyed their expanded selection of beer and whiskey. And I even bought distillery-only bottles for my trip back. Looking forward to next time!

Yelp
Visited for a birthday. Signed up for the brewery tour plus the VIP whiskey tasting which included 2 tickets for beer, a souvenir pint glass and discounted drinks. Walking in, I wish it would've been more lively. It felt quiet and uncomfortable at first. A lot of people seemed confused as well. (Music would have helped) Once the tour began it livened up. Our tour guide was really nice and very knowledgeable. He gave a great tour. The whiskey tasting part was great - it was what I expected and wish we would've only done that part. It was a long tour - definitely not 1 hour. We began at 3pm and it lasted until 5pm or longer. If you're looking for a detailed tour this is your place. If you are wanting or expecting more or a tasting this is not it. I wish we tasted more items but overall it was a good experience.
google avatar

Jacqui M.

Yelp
Being a very seasoned beer drinker, I was very pleased with the Love Struck Hefe at this SA drinking spot. The staff was pleasant and provided an in depth description of the whiskey and beer selections. I attended an event, so breakfast tacos and bloody Mary fixins were available. The Whiskey flight offers the opportunity to sample small portions of 3 whiskeys, including distillery only options. Next event will involve Beer Brats, yum!

Yelp
Made a stop here on our way back to Houston. Jim was great! We did the tasting and Jim was extremely knowledgeable on each of products we tasted. He has a wonderful sense of humor and really made the stop super fantastic! One of the best parts Of our trip!!! Thank you Jim

John H.

Yelp
The cheese plate here is really great! I also did the flight with four of the whiskeys. I liked the service and the space is very well decorated.

Kris W.

Yelp
Very spacious brewery with indoor and outdoor seating options . They have different food trucks throughout the week . The bar staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
I celebrated my military retirement here earlier this week, and wish to extend my appreciation to Dennis and the rest of the team and R.C. for their hospitality during the event. We started with a tour of their brewing and distilling facility, which is very unassuming to people who are simply walking or driving by the building. The tour was just the right amount of time, and offered us a good look into how their production works. And then, samples! We tried three or four of the whiskies being sold regularly, and got a look at their upcoming seasonal/promotional products. Kudos to our tour guide! The food was catered, with R.C. taking care of everything, from setup to cleanup. The products these guys have available are all very good, so make a stop out the next time you're driving south on IH-35.

Yelp
Was invited to go with some friends to Ranger Creek Brewing & Distillery last night. What a fun place! We volunteered to help label bottles and box them up. The Co-Founder, Dennis is a really nice guy. When you volunteer to help them out they give you pizza and beer and it's a nice way to make new friends. I know they make Whiskey I just didn't have any. I had beer. The Love Struck was really good. My hubby enjoyed the OPA, San Antonio Lager, and the Mission Trail. He really liked his beers. I can't wait to go back and volunteer again. This was really a lot of fun. If you haven't been go check this place out.. I love that he is local and we need to always support our local businesses!!

Yelp
Had a wonderful time at a private business event. Staff is friendly. They have a beer sampler and a whiskey sampler and lots of flavors to try out. Fun for bringing out of town visitors during the day! They have a comfy room for hanging out with shelves of games to play! Definitely coming back again with friends and family!

Yelp
Beer. Whiskey. What the hell else do you need? Food? Check. They even bring food trucks in. Pretty amazed. I live a few minutes from this place and only visited recently - yes - kicking myself in the arse. Beer: Soooooo they have most of their regular beers on tap, the other limited editions are also for sale but in bombers. For their regular beers, you can get these on a flight. Whiskey: You can have their whiskeys in a flight, then decide if you want to either take a bottle home, or have several of their cocktails on premise. Either way, you win. The place is small but they have outdoor seating. The only time I've seen this place packed is during special events and even then, they have additional seating outside. Love the inside - it's "decorated" wall to wall with their barrels. Kinda cool really. Give it a try. What do you have to lose? A liver???
