20 Outstanding BYOB Restaurants in Chicago | Eater Chicago

"Rangoli – one of the best Indian restaurants outside of Devon Avenue – ably executes the staples, such as samosas, butter chicken, and biryani. The Gobi Manchurian is also a popular Indo-Chinese dish featuring fried cauliflower tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce. Diners bring booze from outside to temper the spices." - Jeffy Mai

I recently visited Rangoli at Arundel Mills and had a truly wonderful dining experience. As a vegetarian, I was very pleased with the variety of options available on the menu. I ordered the paneer tikka and vegetable biryani, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. The paneer was tender with a delicious smoky flavor, and the biryani was aromatic, perfectly spiced, and packed with fresh vegetables. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the portion sizes were generous. The staff was very attentive, welcoming, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. The service was prompt without feeling rushed, and the restaurant itself had a clean, cozy, and pleasant ambiance that made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, Rangoli is an excellent choice for authentic Indian food with fantastic vegetarian options. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a flavorful and satisfying meal!

Absolutely enjoyed the food, recently moved to the area from the UK, which has many Curry houses. This is one of the best and will be our go to for a good meal

Upgraded!!! Simply wow! We have been to this restaurant before it was renovated and it never disappoint. But now with the upgrade... you just have to see it. The first version of Rangoli was good but this renovated Rangoli 2.0 is just wow!!. Great food, great staff, lovely ambiance beautiful decor. We ordered Channa Masala, hyderbadi chicken, poppers, garlic nan and of course margarita. Every single order hit the spot.

The food tastes outstanding! One of the best Indian cuisine we’ve had in a long time. Atmosphere is a bit upscale. There is a bar. The bathrooms are clean. Will be one of our favorite Indian restaurants in MVA. Manesh is a great server. Always attentive.

I got food to go and the two gentleman were very nice and patient while I figured out what to get. They answered my questions very nicely. The restaurant is super cute and in a nice area. Parking could be challenging but not the night I went (it was a Tuesday evening). The food was amazing! I forgot to take pictures of the food but highly recommend you try it! I had the chicken tikka with chole, basmati rice, and I ordered a side of eggplant and garlic Naan. I also got the rice pudding. Everything was so delicious, I had so much food it fed me dinner and then a shared lunch the next day!

We had a great experience for our Friday night dinner with friends! The restaurant design is lovely and super clean. We appreciated there was a high chair for our baby. All of our servers were very kind and attentive. The menu is large and varied and there are plenty of vegan options. The food was delicious and good portion sizes. I loved that you could customize the spice level (I’m going to go full 10 for next time). We will be back!

We had an excellent experience! The food was delicious and our server Avinash was great! Very knowledgeable and friendly.

Yelp
I've been here before for the weekday lunch buffet and while that is good, the weekend lunch buffet ($24 as of 6/25) is even better. In addition to the traditional buffet items that include a mix of vegetarian and meat options, they had a made to order dosa and chaat station that was really good. The chaat was my favorite out of everything I ate and I highly recommend. There was also a mushroom dish I can't remember the name of now, but reminded me of Szechuan style flavors that was also quite good. Only a couple of the buffet items were spicy, so feel free to bring your wimpy friends. They also have serve yourself mango lassi and hot chai, which made me very happy. The staff was very prompt refilling our waters and removing used plates. We both left satisfied.

Yelp
Craving Indian cuisine that hits all the right notes? Rangoli Restaurant in Hanover, MD delivers an unforgettable dining experience with bold flavors, stunning presentation, and warm hospitality. Tucked near Arundel Mills and Live! Casino, this vibrant, family-friendly spot caters to both meat lovers and vegetarians. We sampled an incredible lineup that did not disappoint: Drinks: Island Drift, Kambochi Martini Food Highlights: Peshawari Naan, Bhindi Do Piazza, Hariyali Lamb Chops, Palak Paneer, Chilli Garlic Shrimp, Butter Chicken Dessert: Creamy, comforting Rice Pudding From the ambiance to the attentive staff, every detail was top-tier. If you're looking for a flavorful escape in Anne Arundel County, Rangoli needs to be on your list.

Yelp
Oh my goodness!! Soo good!! All the food at the lunch buffet was delicious and I absolutely love their mango lassi! The dosa station is a great addition to their other dishes as well. I have also been here multiple times for dinner and it never seems to disappoint! Staff is always so attentive and helpful

Yelp
I recently ordered takeout at Rangoli twice. The first food experience was so good that I had to return. I ordered Butter Chicken with rice and Garlic Naan the first time and Salmon Tikka Masala, Shrimp Tikka Masala, Gobi Manchurian and Garlic Naan the second time. The food was outstanding both times. The salmon was fresh and plentiful in the dish, same with the shrimp dish. The sauces are always delightful. The rice was perfectly cooked to the point that it was still soft prior to reheating it the following day. The other dishes were noteworthy as well. The Garlic Naan was fresh and was a sizeable portion. We had enough food for lunch the next day. The ordering process was efficient and the food was ready at the stated time. The food was still piping hot when we got home. I have been perusing the menu for other things to try. This food has become a fast favorite.

Yelp
We just moved and are trying some new places. We ordered in for dinner and got a few new things. The chili, garlic, and cheese dosa are amazing! The lamb Rogan Josh from some places can be in the super gamey side, but it was phenomenal! We also got the Chicken Tikka (which is a FAVORITE in the house by the pickier eaters so this is always a test!) there's a chance the dish was messed up because it came like a salad, but with Tikka chicken. The chicken was amazing, we added it with some sauce, but hopefully going to order again and it will be served differently? The Lassis are both favorites in the house as well! If you are sensitive to spice this is true Indian spice (aka SPICY) mild had a pretty decent kick to it. I typically get medium, but this was HOT indeed today!! Overall amazing quality, and good quantity as well!

Yelp
Startlingly good! I don't usually review after one visit, but was much more impressed than I expected. A late-lunch stop, only a handful of tables, mostly going to the buffet- normally this is a restaurant's weakest time. But they turned out some of the most balanced, flavorful lamb dishes I've had in ANY area Indian restaurant. Rogan Josh with a "7" spiciness had a nice zing but integrated into the flavor rather than just "we dumped more cayenne on top". Yum. Similarly, my friend's Vindaloo was exactly on point, but without a spice specification it was made notably milder than typical, yet without losing any of the other spicing. Perfect execution on the kitchen's part. Garlic and regular naan were both fresh & delicious. Never trust an Indian restaurant that doesn't have great naan or great rice; those are foundational to the cuisine. The naan & rice say trust this one. The kicker- there's no lunch time bartender that I noticed, but somehow they produced two delicious cocktails that I'd be happy to have at any restaurant, and better than I've ever been served at any traditional Indian restaurant. Other thoughts: No idea what people are talking about w/ parking- there's an entire garage available plus the street parking. It's a huge restaurant and only one side was open for our ebb-time visit. Suburban South Asian restaurants are a mixed bag- a lot of them are good or good values, but only a few are "great". Based on my first experience, this is one of the best in the area. Reviewing in the hope they continue as they are. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Wow. The food here is fantastic. I got take out. Chicken tikka masala and palak paneer medium spicy for both. It could have been a little bit more spicy if you like spicy food. But both dishes was great. They were good portions too. More than enough for two meals. Inside looks really nice, very classy. They have a well stocked small bar. The waitstaff was extremely friendly. As I waited for my takeout they poured me a glass of water at the bar. I would definitely come back here.

Yelp
This place has a wonderful, large buffet with many offerings. For appetizers pakora, samosas, naan, and dosas made to order right in front of you. Their mains such as tandoori chicken, curry goat, saag, briani, are also very tasty. I did not see any seafood the day I went though They also have a great selection of desserts, such as mango yogurt, keer, and masala tea. I'm sure that I forgot to mention so many other items. The service is absolutely impeccable. My server was very professional and kind. I do agree with another Yelper that parking is difficult at this location. Especially if you are on a time crunch for lunch hour. Overall this is a great place to go for good Indian food.

Yelp
We went for a buffet. This restaurant has everything that a typical Indian buffet has. Desert items - Gajar Halwa and Ras Malai were both great. Usually Gajar Halwa in a buffet disappoints. Curries were ok but too salty. Naan and roti were average too. Biriyani tasted good but it was too greasy. All in all it was a decent buffet. They had a stall where they made fresh dosa and some chat items. That was good. Service was nice. Restaurant is in a nice locality.

Yelp
Rangoli Indian Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that starts the moment you walk through the door. With good service being a hallmark, we were seated right away, setting the tone for a pleasant evening in a cute and inviting setting. The restaurant's ambiance exudes warmth and charm, making it an ideal spot for both romantic dinners and casual meals. The food at Rangoli is nothing short of amazing. Each dish we tried was perfectly prepared, showcasing the rich and complex flavors of Indian cuisine. The spices were well-balanced, enhancing the natural flavors of the ingredients without overpowering them. Whether you're a fan of fiery heat or prefer milder tastes, Rangoli caters to all preferences, ensuring a satisfying meal. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The service remained attentive throughout our meal, with staff members being both friendly and efficient, contributing to an overall excellent dining experience. You must have garlic naan and mango lassi.

Yelp
This is truly a phenomenal buffet. We went for lunch on a Friday and were blown away by the plethora of options. Was nice to enjoy a buffet after several years of not having that luxury. Service was impeccable with staff waiting on you as needed. And staff cooking up fresh ordered dosas at a dosa making station. Flavors and heat were good and you can always add additional spices as needed. 11/10 would go back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Lunch buffet here on a weekend. Highly recommended for the price of $20. You get to try all the dishes and find something you like. I like the decor of Rangoli. The yellow walls, warm vibes, well-lit booths. Servers were attentive to your every need. The buffet area is sectioned off from the rest of the restaurant. Can't wait to go again for my next craving. Park in the parking structure next to the Arundel if theres no spots nearby.

Alan U.

Yelp
Poor service; multiple errors in order; charged for an item they took away because it was not what was ordered; terribly slow service -- a plain Dosa was the last item brought out, to the chagrin of a very fidgeting 6-year old.
google avatar

Mariyam S.

Yelp
We have been here several times over the past year - usually for their Sunday buffet (believe it runs on Saturdays too). The price is very reasonable and there is a good variety of food, mixture of veg and non-veg. The staff are fantastic. There is sometimes a live counter with different dosas, which I love! Their dishes are alway flavourful, and although I think they can be more spicy, the spiciness is probably at a level that most of the population can tolerate and enjoy :) The naan are done to perfection. Even though I'm not big on sweets, I always enjoy the desserts they have to offer. We will keep coming back!

Yelp
I've been going to Rangoon for years and years now, probably since it opened up. But I never put my thoughts to how I felt about it. In short, the food is excellent, service is amazing, but the decor/settings could use some creative direction. We started with veg spring rolls and the veg momos. Spring rolls were usual and nothing too crazy there but oh were the momos surprising. Whatever the sauce they use for the glaze on the momos is out of this world. It was spicy yet flavorful enough to let the filling blend in nicely. The sauce was so good that we used the leftover as a dip for the spring rolls. I would come back again and again just to eat veg momos again. Main course's dum aloo was very forgetful. Credit to the server here though. However the paneer curry was good enough to save grace. Butter naan and Kashmiri naan were good as usual though the Kashmiri naan could have used more cashews and nuts over sweetness. The only issue I have with Rangoli is the setting but I can understand why they struggle here. Because they have a small area (not counting the empty side sitting room that is huge) they are confused as what to do during dinner service. They seem to have really nice ambient lighting and art pieces on the wall to hint at a calm atmosphere for dinner. But then there is usually a big TV running over the bar which is in the middle of everything so everyone can see it. If this place was completely casual/fast in and out type joint, that would be fine but because it's such a nice atmosphere, I just think they can do better with the music and tv screen during dinner service. I'm all for it during Happy Hours though. In all, I'm going to continue coming to Rangoli as long as their food quality remains at top like it has for past decade.

Pierrette J.

Yelp
Food was flavored and delicious. We ordered Chicken Sagawala and lamb vindaloo. Service was great, staff was nice, and food came quick. Restaurant is clean and quiet. There is a bar.
google avatar

Jessica O.

Yelp
I ordered the handi goat masala. Absolutely delicious! The best Indian food that I can remember getting. Not sure what my husband order but it came out smoking and sizzling and was to die for! We also got a side of garlic naan. The portions are big we had to get to go boxes. The staff here were attentive. The reason that I can't give them 5 stars is because they were just too slow and the prices for lunch are too high. I would love to be able to come here for my lunch break but I just cannot be out of the office for more than an hour.

Jim C.

Yelp
I am new to Indian food and this place looked clean and modern so I have been here twice. The dining room is very nice and the service is excellent. One time I had Chicken Tikka Masala and the other was Butter chicken. Both served with rice. I also ordered garlic naan. They also served papadums and chutney before. All seemed fresh and tasty. I did go back one weekday for their buffet to explore some other dishes. They had a variety of dishes but I was disappointed that there was no naan. However after I sat down they brought me a basked of fresh, hot naan. I am still on the fence about Indian food overall but this place seemed to be a good place to explore.
google avatar

Urmi C.

Yelp
One of the best Indian restaurants in the area, and the best buffet ever, high quality, diverse selection and so so tasty! Staff is really nice also
google avatar

Nithin K.

Yelp
Summary: If Indian Buffets are your jam, this is the place for you Location: Great! Ambience: Good. The place is clean, bathrooms are clean and for a buffet, everything looked hygienic Price: Reasonable! Especially with the live dosa station. Service: Can be mixed. We've had great service and mediocre service. Never had a bad experience though Food: I am a fan of their live dosa station. I'm also a fan of the appetizer station that they keep changing out. Of the multiple times we've been there, the time they had the Chicken 65 was probably our favorite. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone and if you make the trip out there, you might find us there ;)
google avatar

Khoi N.

Yelp
The lunch buffet here was what the top Indian restaurants used to serve pre Covid. You get everything from fresh gobi, butter chicken, goat curry, lentil curry, samosas and more. The Indo Chinese dishes were a nice addition as well. The location itself is very clean and they had some nice interior decorations. The buffet area is in the far back and the food area was really clean. The food temperature was really hot and the servers were very attentive. Prices are reasonable and you get over 10 dishes to choose from. The food is really tasty and be careful you will get a food coma after. My friend and I definitely got our money's worth with our +8 dishes. Highly recommend coming here for lunch. Location is right off of BW parkway and not far from Arundel Mills.

Yelp
After having recently moved to Hanover, I have been venturing into new food arenas. Rangoli was on my list so my sister and I walked in late last Friday ready to eat! The restaurant was pretty empty but there were allot of takeout orders heading out the door. Our servers were fast, friendly and attentive. He made an excellent suggestion to try the Mango Lassi as my drink. It was delicious and creamy as it is made with mango purée and yogurt. We split an order of chicken tikka which came out on a sizzling pan with charred veggies, the chickpea side and rice. The garlic naan bread was a add on and well worth it! The flavors in the chickpeas were insane and had just the right amount of spice. We thoroughly enjoyed this meal. Hearty and hot on a cold night. There isn't allot to say about the overall ambiance of the restaurant. The decor is bright and everything inside was clean but it did lack some character. However, once the food comes, decor will be the last thing on your mind. Next time your visiting Arundel Mills Mall or the casino, take the quick ride down the street for some family style eats at Rangoli. You won't be disappointed. Thank me later.

Aashmi P.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely delicious. The dishes we picked were so flavorful and in a good portion size. The kaju Koya and Shazam sevra were big hits with my family. I was however a bit disappointed with the service. My brother has a nut allergy which we informed the server of at the beginning. I understand that since the menu is quite large is hard to know what does and doesn't have nuts however it would have been great if our server asked the cooks at the beginning of the meal rather than individually each time we ordered. We ordered 2 palak chaats and then a a third one separately but were never served it. The restaurant has a small dinning room but lots of seating both inside and outside. I would come back for the food but the service was just ok.
google avatar

Mervyn L.

Yelp
If you're near Arundel Mills Mall between 11am and 3pm, these folks have a great lunch buffet.
google avatar

Temima N.

Yelp
We were in the mood for Indian food so we checked out this place! It was lunch time so they had their lunch buffet going on. I've never had a lunch buffet but it was fun experience. Lots of vegetarian options and they even had dosa. I tried all the vegetarian options with the paneer being my favorite. Naan was brought out as well. They also had chai, fruit, & dessert. Lots of great options!

Schylar E.

Yelp
Really solid little spot with a great buffet selection at lunch. Indian food really hits the spot and they didn't disappoint. The servers get you in quick and are friendly. The restaurant is a chill vibe, but Sundays tend to attract families with rather unruly kids, so if you have limited patience with that, I'd recommend coming a different time. Overall great spot over gone to every time I hit the area.

romy c.

Yelp
I'm coming back after a year and a misunderstanding, this is my latest review and I would like to say that the food here is amazing and the staff is very welcoming, They have a buffet everyday which is exceptional and the food is sooooo good! Please visit them for authentic Indian cuisine way better than a lot of other restaurants !! Thankyou Rangoli for being so kind , I'm a regular now !
google avatar

Kate G.

Yelp
I have placed take out orders at lunchtime on three different occasions. The food is ALWAYS delicious. My favorites are the ginger chicken and the aloo palak. The folks here are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend you give them a try. They are definitely on my list as favorite Indian restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Went to try Rangoli's lunch buffet and glad we did. It was located near the arundel mills mall. Upon entering, I noticed that the restaurant was very clean and there was a-lot of space for the buffet area. Their food items were pipping hot which was a plus. They have your typical butter chicken, Briyani, paneer, rice, tandoori chicken and a few vegetarian options too. I was very impressed by the variety they had for lunch, but I wished they had more veggies options as well. They offer fresh naan at the table which I loved. For desserts, they have two varieties of sweets and chai tea. It was about $50 for two people including tip so it's fairly competitive with nearby buffets. Overall, I would recommend this spot and definitely come back again. I'm hoping next time they will have more veggies and less fried items.
google avatar

Food L.

Yelp
Great food, service, buffet, nice quiet environment. They occasionally do not have buffets from snow I guess(?), but I just checked today and it's back on. Here all the time.
google avatar

Harvey G.

Yelp
Rangoli offers a lunch buffet that is really good. It's a little expensive for me for lunch but I hadn't eaten all day! Restaurant was clean and the staff was attentive. Lots of different items to try. Total was 17.99 plus tip. They also brought tandoori naan bread for the table. I would go back again.
google avatar

Vijay R.

Yelp
The food that I received was really good, but I received the wrong order. It was supposed to be Shaam Savera and paneer tikka sizzler, but it looks like I received a couple other dishes. It still tasted really good.

Sanjana S.

Yelp
Excellent food. tasty, variety and great customer service. we have tried their north Indian. South Indian and indo Chinese and everything phase been really tasty and the portions are big.
google avatar

Shrinath D.

Yelp
Great Food and great service Really Good Indian Food in Maryland. Try Indo Chinese food that's best
google avatar

Frank L.

Yelp
They used to have a pretty decent lunch buffet. It's the only reason I'd even bother setting foot in this place. It seems that recently the operator of this place have lost their minds. A friend an I rolled in a few weeks ago to try it their buffet out again. We were told that they just weren't doing it that day and they threw some dinner menus at us. Not lunch menus, but full on dinner menus at 1pm. I'm not sure what's going through their minds thinking that folks rolling in during the work day want to drop upwards of $30 each on lunch AND blow over an hour on lunchtime. The server was rude enough that we just left. I'll never be back. You've been warned.
google avatar

Agustin L.

Yelp
I personally enjoyed this restaurant. If you go you should definitely try thing like the bread, goat curry and the chicken butter chicken. There are many other delicious things like the chai and the desserts. The waiter immediately got us a seat quickly. I really highly recommend it if you like Indian cuisine.
google avatar

Nicky T.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. The food, the workers, the owner are all perfect. Big thumbs up to Kumar as well. Amazing customer service. I order from here atleast once a week. Being from NY, I'm used to amazing Indian food everywhere I go. In MD, finding good ethnic food is very hard. Rangoli however is always spot on. Definitely try the mixed grill, biriyani's, butter chicken, and last but not least the Kerala fish curry! Keep up the good work.

S P.

Yelp
Best Indian place in Baltimore. Lived here for 10 years and have gone to about 40 restaurants over the years, hard to beat the consistency and quality.
google avatar

Christal D.

Yelp
Great food and service! Covid has placed me in a precarious place where I'm open to trying new foods and restaurants. I'd been to this restaurant about 8 years ago but did not eat based of my own personal biases. I tried again and I must say this restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. We had the shrimp fried rice and the Rangoli Mixed Grills; everything was great. They customer service is also top notch, looking forward to a return trip and a new dish!
google avatar

Kaylee C.

Yelp
Had ordered some chicken tikka masala (came with rice, of course) and garlic naan and a mango lassi and ordered it for take out. Delicious! The chicken tikka masala had veggies in it and enhanced the dish for me, and there was some spice added but was still mild. The garlic naan was very flavorful and would definitely get it again. Also, my boyfriend and I had gotten their buffet a while ago last year, and it didn't disappoint at all. Price was higher than normal but well worth it.

Gina W.

Yelp
The food was horrendously oily and my mango lassi was so sweet I was close to vomiting. Never ordering here again.
google avatar

Courtney F.

Yelp
I'll be honest, I don't know why reviews are mixed. This place is awesome. We called for takeout and it was ready when they said. Prices were extremely fair for the portions they give. I got the garlic naan (our mouths were watering the whole ride back to the hotel because of it) and the paneer tikka masala - their paneer is pretty flavorful with a great texture, some of the best paneer I've had. The tikka masala sauce was BOMB, super flavorful, packed with veggies, and I had to resist licking the bowl. We obviously didn't dine in, but the food alone deserves the 5 stars. It was an awesome touch to the end of my night.
google avatar

Alisha T.

Yelp
Best Indian restaurant in Maryland. Very basic and decent in terms of service/ambiance, but the flavors certainly can't be beat. Take it from a fellow Indian and spice fanatic, this is THE spot for authentic & spicy Indian food if that's what you're looking for. The in person clientele is comprised mostly of Indians so you know this place is legit. Amazing biryani, lamb rogan josh, chicken tikka masala, naan, etc. but really everything on their menu is fantastic.

G Y.

Yelp
This is easily the best Indian restaurant in Maryland. The service is always fast and the staff is very friendly. The food is delicious
google avatar

Becky H.

Yelp
My daughter ordered this and said pickup was a little weird, but it was due to other patrons not following rules. Surprise! Raita was just right, a mix of cool and tangy. The Hakka Noodles (added shrimp) were a surprise - a bit more spicy than I expected. But all so fresh and the vegetable in it were crisp-tender, as they should be. The lamp galouti kebab ... hmmm, how to describe? four small patties that were not as flavorful as I would like. I mean, they were OK but I sort have wanted more...? Paneer Kathi Roll was absolutely spot on. It's large (and should be for $9.99) so enough for the two of us. Again, crisp-tender veg and the spices were great. So my final opinion is that this is some yummy grub! I would buy from here again!

Catherin P.

Yelp
I just came back from a lunch buffet there. For the weekend lunch buffet, it is $15.99 per person. (I believe the weekday price is $14.99.) During the pandamic, all staff are wearing mask and gloves. The buffet is not self-service. There will be at least one staff standing at the buffet table. You can tell him what you would like on your plate and he will do it for you. *** If you don't specify the amount of food you want, the staff will give you the big amount. Since I don't want to eat too much of one kind of food, I had to emphasizely tell him that I only what a little bit, so that I can try a little bit of everything and not to have any wastes on food. *** When there is more than one customer waiting in line for the buffet, the other staff will come and help you get your food. Therefore, you don't have to wait too long. Naan Bread is not on the buffet table but the staff will serve to your table. When you finish, they will come back and check if you want more bread. Chai Tea The chai tea is included in the buffet. One little complain is the tea is already sweetened. I personally prefer the non-sweet chai tea. Menu I got a list of buffet menu from their facebook page but the food I see on the buffet today is not exactly as in the menu. I would say it's around 90% as on the list. However, there is nothing to complain about. I still enjoy the food they have. In term of service, I really appreciate how the staff here is working. They keep refilling my water and keep bussing the table, non-stop. Payment The staff will bring the portable credit card machine to you. You can see your bill, put the tip amount, make a payment, and print out your receipt from that machine.
google avatar

Nicholas C.

Yelp
Food was better than all the other Indian buffets in the area, and the staff was super friendly. Food was always quickly replenished. They even brewed us some fresh chai as the buffet was ending.

Yelp
The first time I came to this place I really enjoyed my meal. Today I order to go and was disappointed. I order chicken Marsala, spring rolls, and the chicken Marsala pizza. My chicken was mushy and I ate mostly the onions and green peppers. My husband said the pizza was more bread and cheese not enough Marsala. We will give it another try and update you again.

Yelp
I'm surprised by the nay-sayers regarding the lunch buffet. Yes, it is very similar to most other Indian restaurants' offerings, but I think Rangoli is a step up all around. First off, the inside is narrorw, with tables spanning the walls. The buffet options are tucked away in a little nook, which sometimes gets crowded if a bunch of patrons are there at once, but it moves. Food-wise, the variety is better than most Indian buffets. There are multiple types of biryani (rice dish) alone. I've been to places with 2-4 types of meat, but they had chicken multiple ways, plus goat and beef, not to mention loads of paneer and vegetable dishes. Vegetarian or carnivore, they will have something amazing for you. There's also some good sambar and salad. And they had halwa, kheer, and fresh fruit for dessert. Consider you can eat as much of this as you want and get good service for the price of the meal, I'd say I'm a fan of Rangoli. Would happily eat here again.
