I just moved to Rockville and this has been the best experience of service/food I’ve experienced by far. This wouldn’t have been possible without the excellent customer service from Olvin, I explained I never ate this kind of food before and he did a beautiful job of explaining and recommending flavors while giving a brief history on the kind of food they served. he was awesome. 10/10 recommend

Google
This is my first time eating here. The food was amazing but the best part was Ms. Elicabeth or Elisabeth my apologies if I have her name wrong by she is the reason I will definitely be back and a regular. She was so patient and explained and walked me through it all. Amazing experience for sure. I give her a million stars

Google
My first time at Rasa and I'm very happy with everything. Olvin, was extremely helpful in explaining all the items available and ways I could combine the food and sauces. The food is delicious! Even the decoration is on point. I 100% recommend this for a flavorful bowl!

Google
I recently visited Rasa, and I was thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere is modern, clean, and welcoming—perfect for a quick yet enjoyable meal. The staff was friendly and efficient. I opted for the butter chicken burrito and it was absolutely delicious—flavorful and well-seasoned. The portion size was pretty generous too! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a satisfying, quick bite.

I visited Rasa yesterday and ordered the same vegetable bowl I had previously, which includes quinoa, romaine lettuce, chickpeas, corn, cucumber, cauliflower/potato and Greek dressing. However, I was charged $18.75 instead of the expected $12.75. A staff member informed me that the additional charges were due to the items I selected, which I found perplexing since I believed I was ordering a standard veggie bowl. I presented my previous receipt as evidence, but the staff member seemed at a loss for words and insisted that we were not permitted to add anything extra to the bowl. I clarified that I had not requested any extras, yet she maintained that items like lettuce, chickpeas, cauliflower, and potatoes incurred additional costs. Furthermore, there was a complication regarding a coupon I had for a complimentary second bowl. The staff insisted that I pay the full price, which totaled nearly $35. The customer service experience was disappointing; I felt targeted and treated in a dehumanizing manner. I observed staff members whispering among themselves and ignoring my order, as well as those of others who appeared similar to me. I overheard derogatory comments made in Spanish, expressing disdain towards Black individuals and suggesting they should return to Africa. Unbeknownst to them, I am fluent in Spanish, as it is my first language. It is imperative that your establishment reevaluates its staffing practices to promote diversity and educate employees on the importance of treating all customers with respect, regardless of their background. It is particularly troubling that I was charged more than two Caucasian customers who ordered the same meal, paying only $11.50 each. This experience is unacceptable, and I am unlikely to return in the future.

Google
This is my new favorite spot when I’m in the area! The food options/combos are great-my favorite is the spicy chili chicken bowl. And today we tried the cocktails made by Olvin! They were 🤌🏾He was super friendly and answer all our questions.

Google
Really tasty, very healthy, high quality Indian style food at very reasonable prices. Cute, cheerful decor and excellent service. They also serve alcoholic beverages. What’s not to love about this place! Olvin, who prepared our food, was so friendly and sweet. I will be back soon!

Google
Mr.Olvin helped me pick out a warm bowl, and boy ohh boy it was delicious. He was amazing with his knowledge of the food, and also with his customer service. I will definitely keep coming back!!

Yelp
My First time in rasa, and the experience was spectacular.i got the Tikka chance on me very delicious, the atmosphere very welcoming, the staff very friendly, Jose Velasquez very attentive and answered all our questions and recommendations

Yelp
Best Bite, Best Bowl of all the Bowl Concepts. Will show pics next time as I snarfed it all down too quickly. We get their food Catered to our Office and it's Our Favorite. Every bite better than the next and such harmonious balance in all the flavors. Yum. And it's great for you too.

Matthew H.

Yelp
I used to live near RASA in Washington, DC and went there every once in awhile. I really enjoyed it at the time. However, we ordered online at this location for $7 build your own bowls and were left feeling unsatisfied. I found the food to be mediocre. The portion sizes were okay. I am not sure if I will return here, at least for quite some time.

Yelp
10 Stars if I could! Let's start off with how awesome this restaurant is. I'm in love with Indian food and can eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner! Where has this place been all my life? What a fantastic idea! I can't believe it's been here for over a year and I haven't tried it until last week. The food is so delicious. Brightly colored foods are enticing to eat and the freshness really shines through. The carrots taste like real carrots, the shrimp are big & fat, and there are a million combinations of sauces and fresh vegetables, meat and paneer that you could choose from and combine. I can't get enough of the lemon rice and spinach paneer. I even got half & half sauces to try two of them. My favorite toppings are the fresh mango and crunchy papadums. A drizzle of the Tamarind and cilantro over it all makes a sweet 'n' tangy punch. I took my friend here today and he was just in awe. He just sept commenting "Oh gosh, this place is delicious"! And I kept replying "I know right? I told you it was good"!

Yvonne Z.

Yelp
Stumbled across this gem in rockville. Honestly beat my expectations. Service was good, ordering was not complicated at all. The flavors of the bowl were amazing. The Naan was just mid, kinda dry. The spicies and sauces complimented each other so we'll. I will be coming back for sure

Yelp
Good afternoon I love this place so much the food is so good. The service they have is great nice coworkers really nice and kind especially this one manager who works there that his name is Marlon. Makes me wanna come back and get more of this food love how he does the bowls so neat. Marlon has great attitude great service and always makes sure I have everything I need before I head out. Great job! I had came in yesterday afternoon. Thank you Marlon.

Mister V.

Yelp
Rasa offers a nice, clean dining experience in the area. The food was simple yet tasty, making for an enjoyable meal. I would possibly come here again.

Yelp
There are a number of fast casual restaurants in the area that serve bowls (a lot!), and this is similar, but with an Indian flair. We went to Rasa yesterday for lunch and were pleased. We each got a Chef Recommended bowl. I had the Spicy Chili Chicken Bowl - the chicken was well cooked and had a mild spice. I really liked how all the ingredients worked well together, including the coconut flavor in the sauce. On the negative side, the white rice was a bit mushy. Also, I was surprised that the Bowl is named "spicy" because the item my partner got, the Open Sesame, was much more spicy. My partner also paid another dollar to include chick peas in the bowl. Open Sesame - delicious ground lamb meatballs (spicy!) with eggplant, rice and other tasty items in a peanut sesame sauce. My partner subbed the turmeric rice for the white rice that comes with it, and said the rice was delicious, with thinly sliced almonds and raisins. Garlic Naan - most of the bread, except for the outer edges, was very soggy. Either the bread needed to be cooked more or it was put into aluminum foil to keep it warm and it got soggy in the packaging. But it did have lots of garlic flavor. Yum! The server who prepared our dishes was friendly and helpful. There is a large variety of items for a design-your-own bowl. There are bottles of a hot sauce available in the front of the restaurant. To spice up my meal, I took one and - honestly - had a hard time getting the product out of the squeeze bottle. The tip of the bottle was blocked by what appeared to be dried out hot sauce, which I had to remove with a tissue and the edge of a fork. Either the product is a paste (which suggests the spout of the bottle should be larger) or the sauce was dried out. I don't know for sure. It was just unexpected.

Yelp
The food here was great it was my first time coming here and everything seemed fresh with good costumer servic. Thanks to Marlon on helping me out create my own bowl and explaining on everything there is to offer.

Whitney L.

Yelp
I first tried Rasa for the first time in Arlington, VA as it was located right downstairs from my apartment. I absolutely loved the variety of ingredients and freshness behind it. so it made me super happy to know they opened a location in Rockville. The concept is like a chipotle with Indian cuisine. I really loved the tikka chance on me bowl (they currently have a special with this one) and the chicken tikka avocado salad is alright. Mango lassi here is also VERY good. Employees are friendly and attentive. It's very clean in the restaurant and utensils are by the beverage area.

Kyle D.

Yelp
I visited RASA at noon just before the lunch crowd arrive. Upon walking in, you get an immediate sense of trendy fast casual restaurant. The decor was great and the restaurant is clean! Ordering was easy. They have a build your own menu, as well as, a Chef Curated menu. I ordered the Tandoori Paneer Bowl, Spicy Chili Chicken Bowl and a side of Samosa Chaat. Everything was very tasty and priced properly to the area. If you have a craving for Indian, give RASA a try! Note: Parking was easy for me but I can see it being a pain during peak times!

Elaine F.

Yelp
What a great find! I was in Rockville for an appointment, and I had a craving for Indian food. I have favorite Indian places up & down the Pike & 270, but I happened to check Google to see what was nearby. Rasa for the win! The place is in Montrose Crossing, in the little strip of restaurants that was added right along 355. The menu is fairly extensive and it offers quite a bit of flexibility. I finally settled on the "Tikka a Chance on Me" bowl. When I got down the line to the register, they also had bottled Kingfisher beer. The staff was friendly, prices are reasonable, and the place is really cute. This will now be a monthly stop for me in Rockville.

Molly K.

Yelp
I had a fantastic dinner at RASA! This business has the cutest interior aesthetic, a fast moving line, and delicious menu items! I really love how well RASA labels their vegan items. I chose to purchase their Veggies and Vibes bowl which was labeled vegan, but you could also build your own bowl and navigate what items are vegan very easily. I chose to get the rice noodles in my bowl instead of the basmati rice. I highly recommend that modification. The rice noodles were a really fun texture and made me feel more full than just rice. They pack really densely in the bowl and seem to give you more bang for your buck. The best part of the bowl was the coconut ginger sauce. It was so creamy, savory, and comforting. I would drink that sauce I liked it so much. I also enjoy how their bowls are so colorful. You can get a variety of veggies in each bowl which provide a lot of different textures, flavors, and nutrients. This location is really cool as they have alcohol available. That is pretty rare for a fast casual spot like this. Additionally you should save room for dessert. Their vegan soft serve is a must try! Thanks RASA for a great experience and delicious meal! I will certainly be back!

Rebecca C.

Yelp
This restaurant is either a build your own bowl or choose one of the premade ones. I tried the Tikka Chance On Me Bowl. The chicken was tender, well seasoned, and delicious. The cucumbers and pickled radishes went so well with the chicken. I loved the drizzle of sauce. I think next time I'll be confident enough to make my own bowl!!! Also, I definitely want to try something a bit spicier as well. We had a piece of the garlic naan which was fresh, warm, large and super garlicky! It's casual dining, plenty of seating inside the restaurant. There's a great assortment of drinks, alcoholic ones as well, and some froyo flavors! I'll be back to try them all!

Patrick R.

Yelp
I enjoyed the chicken Tikka wrap, though I'd prefer it with more sauce, and I'd like to try a spicier version. I expect to come back.

Anne C.

Yelp
Drop by right before closing to pick up my Too Good To Go order. (If you are not familiar with TGTG, you need this app in your life ASAP. Great for saving food waste and eating well on a budget. Huge kudos to RASA for participating.) This place is basically Chipotle but Indian inspired. Decor is super cute. Pick up was very easy (just showed up with my app at the designated time and my bowl was ready to pick up). Most importantly, the food was excellent. The food varies, depending on what is on surplus that day. I had a large bowl with variety of curried vegetables on a bed of rice noodles. There was enough food for me to pack lunch for the next two days. Fantastic flavors, amazing concept, and I can't wait to be back to try more of their items.

A. D.

Yelp
Fantastic new fast casual concept. Reminds me of an Indian Chipotle or Cava. Friendly staff, stylish decor. Highly recommended.

Daniel B.

Yelp
The food and staff here are top tier! The vibe is chill and the service is great! I ordered my favorite Tikka Chance On Me bowl and added Chick Peas. I also had a lemon-lime soda. As usual, everything was excellent. I'm definitely a fan and will be back many more times in the foreseeable future. 5/5 stars for sure.

Aaron Z.

Yelp
Wow this place was great. I never tried this place before and I'm happy that I gave it a try because it was amazing. The inside was beautiful and the staff was super helpful. Food was amazing, they really stuffed my bowl. They had a water and ice machine with water cups on the side for those who don't buy drinks which I really appreciated. The forks were made from recycled material and were really good quality. Altogether this was a great place with great food, no complaints at all. I will come here again for sure.

Victoria S.

Yelp
A great fast casual Chipotle-style joint specializing in Indian cuisine. They have a variety of bases, proteins, veggies, sauces and toppings that one can combine to make a custom bowl. They have signature bowls such as "tikka chance on me", "Aloo need is love" and "Caul me maybe ". My companion and I got custom bowls. I had the tofu and cauliflower over rice noodles. I chose sesame peanut gravy as my sauce, spinach as my vegetable and added mangos, beets, radish, cucumbers and spiced carrots. For texture I also added lentil chips and chickpeas. Rice noodles were new to me and absorbed all the flavors well (don't see it in most Indian restaurants). The veggies in the tofu and cauliflower protein choice were crunchy and perfectly cooked, lots of tofu as well. The peanut sesame gravy was very flavor without being overly salty. I had enough food for 2 meals.

Micah C.

Yelp
Rasa is a pretty good, fast casual spot offering Indian-inspired rice dishes, cocktails, and more. I stopped by here for dinner and ordered the Open Sesame which came with lamb kebab meatballs, basmati rice, assortment of veggies, and a peanut sesame sauce. I was a little disappointed that the kebabs were actually small meatballs. I was hoping there would be more. The peanut sauce worked well with the meat and the veggies. I'm not a huge fan of eggplant, but it was pretty tasty charred. I also ordered a side of naan which was plain but could have been heated up. I was able to taste the Tikka Chance on Me which tasted better in my opinion. The service was quick. Keep in mind that the cashier will ask you if you want any sides or drinks with your order. I told the person making my bowl that I wanted the naan but they didn't give it to me and I had to tell the cashier again. Technically I would give this place a 3.5. It's not my favorite but if I'm in a rush and want a quick meal thats not fast food, I would come here.

Allie K.

Yelp
I tried RASA the other day and it did not disappoint. They have a great online menu, which is easy to navigate and order, and it lists allergens and gluten free as well. I know this is kind of a weird thing to mention, but it's the first barrier to picking a restaurant if you have allergies, and RASA succeeded. The service inside the restaurant is just as friendly and helpful as the website. They were knowledgeable about allergens and cross contamination procedures. RASA has rice bowls, noodle bowls, salads and some sides. You can build your own, or order one of their pre-designed bowls. I had the Home Cooking Bowl. It came with Shrimp and Noodles, and it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Open Sesame, which he raved about. Our party also ordered the Chicken Tikka and Avocado Salad, which was another hit. The Mango Lassi is also very good. There's something for everyone at RASA, with great flavors to go around!

Gloria L.

Yelp
If you like Cava and Chipotle, then you're going to love RASA. The food here is fresh, flavorful, and fantastic with an Indian flair! They have preset bowls you can order, or you can build your own with a mix of greens and grains, meats, veggies, sauces, and toppings. The combinations are infinite, so I love trying something different every time I come here. So far, my favorite meats are the lamb meatballs and the chicken. The joint is so cute and radiantly decorated. And there's a bar where you can get alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages. In addition they have an app with a rewards program, so that you can earn points towards free food and drinks. The one thing I wish they'd do is to add recycling bin for the plastic cups and lids. (The good news is they have real silverware for people dining in, so they are not adding a lot of plastic, forks, and knives into the landfill.)

Kyle L.

Yelp
I tried RASA after hearing about the Yelp Event a few weeks ago. I love the make-your-own-bowl trend that almost every cuisine has adopted now because it makes for an easy but delicious quick meal. I opted to make my own (they have several set bowl options). I went with chicken for the protein and was shocked at how flavorful it was. The bowl lasted me two lunches, but both my friends finished theirs in one sitting. I would describe RASA as a middle stake between Cava and Spice 6. I didn't try their Mango Lassi or ice cream this time, but I'm excited to come back and try those items soon.

Leo T.

Yelp
Nice take on Indian cuisine. The service was efficient fast casual. They had the door open and it was freezing, due to a smell we think. Still good food.

Diana D.

Yelp
Yummy! Quick Indian fast food that's both yummy and quick. Love it especially with a side of garlic naan!

Lina T.

Yelp
I came to RASA on a Monday night for dinner with a friend. RASA is located off of Rockville Pike and shares a parking lot with other nearby restaurants such as Honeygrow, Cava, etc. The parking lot can get packed on the weekends though. RASA is setup so you can either select premade Indian inspired combinations or make your own. I decided to make my own bowl: - Basmati Rice as my Base (step 1) - Chicken Tikka as my Main (step 2) - Tomato Garlic as my Sauce (step 3) - Sautéed Spinach & Spring Chickpeas as my Veggies (step 4) - Corn Salsa as my Topping (step 5) - Mint Cilantro Chutney as my Topping Sauce (step 6) I loved that there were so many options for my custom bowl. Staff were friendly and kept the line moving quickly. I really enjoyed my dinner, it was very flavorful and everything seemed like it was freshly just made. There is plenty of seating available inside, where you can seat yourself. If you are craving Indian and want something fast and casual, I would recommend RASA :)

Yelp
Rasa in Rockville recently just opened up a few months ago; but they have a few locations in Virginia (I think). 2 brothers opened up a restaurant, following in their fathers footsteps. These 2 brothers opened up their restaurant in America to open up people's horizon to eating Indian cuisine. Although I appreciate their wanting to "americanize" Indian dishes- I feel as if if it is too americanized. Personally, I would have preferred if these tasted more authentic. Food: 2.5/5 The samosas were fresh and good with their sauce. The Chicken Tikki create your own bowl was very wet, and bland. I had nearly half of my bowl, before I decided I did jot want any more. The poached egg was cooked very well and tasted deliciously as a palette cleanser. Drinks: 4/5 Mango Lassi - was sooo good and sweet. Spiked Coconut - was more spiked than coconut - most people would enjoy this but I was really hoping it would be more on the refreshing side Pink Drink - I had cups and cups of this drink, it tasted so good. It was refreshing and I felt as if I couldn't get enough of it Service: 5/5 The brothers are super down to earth and are very welcoming to all their guests. The employees are friendly; I asked if I could have one of their lunch bags, and they gave me a cute reusable bags. Ambiance: 5/5 It's casual but cute. Their windows fully open and you can get a nice breeze on a hot sunny day. They have little souvenirs placed on their walls from spices they have gathered in different areas of India. All in all- I personally would not seek this place out as an option to go eat, but I also would not reject this if I was invited. I would probably try a different entree dish though, and have a scrumptious pink drink to go with it.

Shivana D.

Yelp
Unfortunately I wasn't impressed by RASA at all. I usually try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but I went pretty soon after their opening and was expecting much better quality and quantity when it comes to the food, especially so early on. The decor is vibrant and fun and the restaurant itself was clean and inviting. The bowl selections also seem thoughtfully curated. I only wish the flavors were as vibrant as the brand itself. I felt like the Tikka chance on me bowl was pretty bland. There wasn't a strong tikka masala flavor like you might expect from the traditional dish. The chicken wasn't seasoned much, and the toppings were watery which made the rice watery. The mini samosas were a great portion size but again, the filling was lacking flavor. Honestly, with CAVA being right next door I hope RASA can step up the game. CAVA's meats and sides are much more flavorful and you also get more bang for your buck there.

Rene C.

Yelp
excellent food and Thanks to one of the staff, Santos who is very friendly to customer.

Julianne B.

Yelp
All I can say is YUM! I'm so glad that we now have a Rasa near me! I'll be going here all the time now! It was absolutely delicious! I made my own bowl with all gf ingredients! The cool thing is I can get a different bowl each time! They also have a lot of mango lassi stuff including mango lassi soft serve! I saw they had cocktails but I didn't really have time to try them. I'll have to go back for those! We also got a really cute to go bag. I'm not sure if those are just for the opening or not but it's a great touch! The service was super fast and all the employees were friendly. They definitely have the system down pat. I also liked the decorations and the story they have on the wall about how they started their business complete with old pictures of the 2 owners. Honestly, all the stars! I can't wait to go back!

Mimi W.

Yelp
Located in a shopping center with ample free parking. The place is vibrant and inviting, nice to grab a quick meal or sit and chat with friends. Indian wraps and bowls, you can build your own or pick a curated one like I usually do - they've got cute names for each curated bowl. Flavors were nice, but I personally don't like when my rice gets drenched in the sauce at the bottom. Their mango lassi was good. Service was also nice and quick. Also tried the mango and chai soft serve which were yummy. They also serve alcohol, though I haven't tried any, but their Indian inspired cocktails sound interesting.

Andrew P.

Yelp
Yay, RASA is here!!! Their grand opening was this week, right in MoCo... I have to say, I first discovered them at a Yelp event several years ago at their very first location in Navy Yard, DC. They're essentially fast casual Indian food.... but with a couple of bonuses! In addition to being able to build your own (BYO) or pick from staff favorite bowls, they have soft served ice cream. And we're not just talking about your typical vanilla or chocolate -- we're talking Mango Lassi and Masala Chai... and you can swirl the two! And get this -- they're vegan! Specifically, they're oat-based. Mango is my favorite fruit, but between those two, the Masala Chai is actually the superior one -- now don't get me wrong, both are still amazing. Oh, the other bonus is a bar. Not only can you get a fresh coconut and have them spike it for you, but there are yummy cocktails like tamarind margaritas and masala gin & tonics (game changer, seriously). The beer and wine are slightly cheaper, but the cocktails are $10 and up, so hopefully a happy hour surfaces in the future :). But enough about the cocktails, let's get back to the bowls. Like other fast casual restaurants, you have a variety of options to choose from. I'll just name from of my favorites -- ginger shrimp, lemon turmeric rice, supergrains, SWEET POTATO TIKKI (vegan), charred eggplant, samosas, coconut ginger sauce, spiced chickpeas, sauteed spinach... I've said a lot already, but there's so much more. Their food is nothing short of delicious, and I'm so glad Sahil and Rahul brought this place home! I wish them all the success!

Angelica D.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday for a quick lunch. Inside is sooo cute and colorful. Super clean and open. Fast service with food that packs a punch with flavor and good portion size. The ingredients are fresh and the combination of items in the bowls go perfectly. My favorite is the home cooking. MUST HAVE THE RICE NOODLES AND SHRIMP!!! I dream of the flavors in that bowl. So good and comforting. Not pictured - the chai soft serve. That's another must have!

Kelly S.

Yelp
I've waited a few years for RASA to make it to the 'burbs and the day has finally come! Colorful and pleasant vibes wafted through this new spot on Rockville Pike. The team was energized and happy to answer any questions. My friend and I enjoyed a Spiked Mango Lassi and a Sauvignon Blanc from India in the swing chairs. For dinner I ordered An Open Sesame and a Build Your Own Chicken Bowl. The lamb had a nice kick to it. I also enjoyed the mango salsa.

Shashi B.

Yelp
I love this concept for Indian food. After driving down a couple of times to the first location on the Wharf, I was waiting for a Montgomery County location. This new location has the same fun menu, who can resist Caul Me Maybe, Tikka Chance On Me, Aloo Need Is Love. I would recommend going custom and mixing it up. I adore the lamb kabob with supergrains and the tomato garlic sauce. This location had the tamarind margarita and they introduced a new masala chai soft serve dessert that was a very different taste and adorable. Smiling service and nice ambience makes it a fun visit. I'm looking forward to going back.

Chanel C.

Yelp
This place is very cute and everyone that works there is very friendly. The food was excellent. I got a create your own bowl and it was very delicious and reasonably priced.

Shayna H.

Yelp
It's like an Indian food chipotle. You get on like and you can either order one of the premade bowls or build your own. This place is HEAVEN if you are vegan or dairy free like me. Each item is labeled whether it is vegan or not. I would say a about half or the items if not more are vegan. The portion sizes are huge. Although I ate it in one sitting because it was very tasty and I couldn't help myself. The inside of the restaurant is so chic and cool. The colors are vibrant and there's really cute seating options including booths, hanging chairs, and outdoor options. I'll be a returning customer for sure.

Tania A.

Yelp
RASA is a great spot for Indian food with a casual dining experience. Similar to other other culinary brands that have the healthy, fast and customizable menus served in bowls - RASA has a fun twist to it with the Indian cuisine space. There's been a lot of creativity put into the decor of the space as well as the names of the menu items, like: Tikka Chance on Me & Aloo Need is Love! Their drinks menu is also great! I loved the Spiked mango lassi and the fresh young coconut. The staff were great, they all seemed really energized, we're helpful in describing everything and that made the meal all the much better.

Maria L.

Yelp
Heard so many good things about RASA, soo I had to try it for myself! Delicious bowls-- it's like the Indian version of Chipotle or Cava. Pick your own items or choose from creative and tasty suggestions on the board! They have naan, mini samosas, drinks and dessert! They even have a bar! Vibrant colors and fun vibe inside-- enjoy!

Cheryl T.

Yelp
Not for me. Too much going on. Overwhelming options. I tried to make my own bowl with shrimp which was a bad idea. Felt rushed to make a decision on something unknown. I love Indian food and this tastes nothing like authentic Indian food. The "naan" was super dry, paper thin and hard. The line was long and the staff couldn't help. Perhaps they were overwhelmed too? Too many options too many staff on the line. Threw my entree away which is saying a lot. My friend who had the chicken tikka bowl also felt disappointed with her dish. She tried to add avocado at the end and was told she should have added it earlier.

Tracy B.

Yelp
Love the grain bowls. This grain bowl bursted with flavor. Here is the grain bowl I created at Rasa. DELICIOUS Grain Bowl 1/2 & 1/2 Grains 1/2 Lemon Turmeric Rice 1/2 Super Grains Tandoori Paneer Peanut Sesame Charred Eggplant Carrot Slaw Marsala Beets Pickled Radish Roasted Lentils House Vinaigrette Dressing

Grace K.

Yelp
I was dying to try this place since it opened not too long ago, however, it did not meet my expectations. The food was bland and didn't really have that sweet & savory taste to it. I also had a bite of the bowl called, Tikka Chance of Me and the chicken wasn't marinated, just cooked. I guess I was expecting it to have more of a tikka masala flavoring. The bowl I got picture was the Caul Me Maybe -- it was ok. More tofu would have been nice IMO. Not sure if I would go back again but who knows maybe I'll give it another try later.

HaeMi C.

Yelp
I love this place! It's like the Indian chipotle. I come here a lot during lunch. I get my Indian spices and love the pickled veggies with chicken.

Charles D.

Yelp
RASA was delicious! I got an Open Sesame bowl, which was flavorful, robust and just a little spicy! The lamb was cooked well too. They were super good about being able to modify bowls and their markings on vegetarian and gluten free was good as well! My wife got a Home Cooking which was also thoroughly enjoyable!

Yelp
This is such a fun concept! The variety of toppings/ proteins/ sauces was awesome! Flavor wise was solid, but some aspects were a little bland. However overall a 10/10 experience and environment !

Yelp
The food doesn't taste good, a bit salty. Our body react to some things in their ingredients and start scratching. We dont like it at all

Yelp
I call this Indian poke bowl! I have been waiting a long time for Rasa to finally open in Rockville. I first tried them in 2021 when the DC location was doing food drops in our neighborhood in Montgomery County. It was love at first bite. What a great concept. I love poke bowls or any other bowl like bibimbap where there are a multitude of ingredients. Now I get the bowl with Indian ingredients! I got the DIY bowl and by the end of my meal, I was satisfied and stuffed. There really is a lot you can add to your bowl. The place is colorful, sunny bright, and comfortable. The front doors were kept open for this lovely afternoon. I will be back a thousand times or more.

Yelp
My husband and I visited Rasa, a fast-casual Indian restaurant in Rockville, MD at Montrose Crossing. We enjoyed customizing our own bowls with generous portions of flavorful rice, vegetables, and creamy sauces. We could not get enough of their vegan soft serve ice-cream. The swirl is the best! We highly recommend this place for its fresh ingredients and friendly service from Olvin, the manager, and his team. We plan to add Rasa as our quick-serve date night spot. Manje Byen
