"Seat of Democracy As befits the presidential residence of the largest democracy in the world, the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex houses an inspiring collection of spaces, from the private residence and public ceremonial and performance halls to acres of gardens laid out in various styles. Visitor access is separated into three circuits, each open on specific days: Circuit 1 includes tours of the main building and central lawn; Circuit 2 features the museum complex and garages; and Circuit 3 (offered seasonally) takes you to the gardens, including the Mughal Gardens, with its lush terraces and flower-framed fountains. Tickets must be reserved in advance; visit www.presidentofindia.nic.in for more info."

This place will make you feel proud and privileged. The area is vast, filled with greenery, and everything is well maintained. Inside the building, only a few areas are accessible, and only with a guide. Our guide was knowledgeable, but she spoke in a low voice—perhaps due to illness or a health issue. It would be helpful if the authorities provided guides with a speaker, so everyone could hear clearly. It is essential to book your visit online. Tickets may be available on the spot, but that depends on availability. Carrying a valid identity card is a must. Foreigners are allowed to visit this place.

A privileged experience to visit the house of the first citizen of India. You must book tickets online and reach some time early to the slot. Once you enter through the gate mentioned on the ticket the actual palace is at walkable distance and you can enjoy the flowers and greenery. We were lucky to spot a few glimpses of the national bird too.. The tour is really interesting and informative, on weekends or public holidays there might be a rush so be on time. Do not carry bag as they need to be kept out also phones are not allowed inside the actual bhavan. Thanks to the government for making the magnificent architecture open for people to view.

A Walk Through Grandeur – Rashtrapati Bhavan Visit My visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan was an inspiring journey into India’s rich history and democratic pride. As the official residence of the President of India, this grand structure stands as a symbol of power, heritage, and architectural brilliance. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, it beautifully blends Indian and Western styles with its iconic dome, massive pillars, and sprawling gardens. Originally built as the Viceroy’s House during British rule, it became Rashtrapati Bhavan in 1950 after India became a republic. Spread across 330 acres, it houses 340+ rooms, majestic halls like the Durbar Hall, and the famous Amrit Udyan. Today, it serves as the heart of the Indian Republic — hosting national ceremonies, dignitaries, and now, welcoming visitors to witness its timeless beauty. A truly unforgettable experience!
