This place deserves to be the best Thai place in Philly in my life so far. They have the most authentic Thai&Lao menu and vibe. The service was perfect, lemon water, and strong spices. I truly can’t find any flaw, except for the slightly fancy price. But I didn’t regret to pay at all. More than worth trying if you like southeast Asian food.

**Simply phenomenal!** Whether you're planning a cozy family dinner or a romantic date night, this place delivers. The atmosphere was elevated by the soulful Bossa Nova music, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable meal. The food was so delicious and plentiful that we had to take home **not one, but two** to-go boxes. Highly recommend!

My Thai wife and I go to Ratchada regularly and it’s always a great experience. Service is always friendly and attentive and the food is always great and authentic. For our last visit, I ordered cashew chicken and my wife had the Ka na moo krob and as usual it was fantastic!

What a surprise ! On a cloudy rainy day, we decided to go to a Thai Lau restaurant located in South Philly. This is a asian community part of South Philadelphia, where you find many markets, restaurants, and retail business of that nature I’ve been coming to this area for over 25 years, but this is the first time I’ve been in this restaurant, this has a very nice sign for the restaurant located above the main entrance, but looking at the restaurant, you wouldn’t really think much of it until you walk inside this is a beautifully decorated restaurant almost has a little romantic feel to it while it was kind of early for dinner, we were there around 4 PM, and there was one other couple in there there was very nice music playing, and we seated immediately by a nice young lady, we decided to try the Buddha veggie dumplings, which were excellent. They were lightly fried and really filled with vegetables. A lot of places when you get dumplings, they will be kind of half filled with a little more dough than filling itself not these these were packed with a nice dipping sauce on the side we share these they were excellent as you’ve seen the pictures, we also decided to order the green curry entrée with tofu. This was excellent very creamy and excellent curry balance that had bamboo shoots, bell peppers, string beans fresh basil although it says very spicy it was not unbearable. The creaminess made up for the spiciness and had a very balanced flavor and we also decided to order a Tom Yum pak soup, This was a veggie lemon grass, soup, hot and sour style with tofu, mixed veggies, onions, lemongrass, lime, basil leaves, galagal and mushrooms. This was a little bit spicy, not overwhelming and very well done. We had a little bit of tea and it was just a really nice laid-back atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as a few more couples came in. This really had a nice romantic ambience to it and would be a great place to takea date or a family. This is kind of a hidden gem.

Google
The one thing I am certain about Thai And Laos food, salty, savory, and spicy. Took my wife and kids out for my wife’s birthday, I will have to say very disappointed, three orders of the drunken noodle and they were extremely sweet. Felt like I had to go get my A1c checked. I guess it’s cater to the Americans taste buds. On the plus side, Thai sampler, and the coconut cake was phenomenal. Overall not recommended for over $200 that I spent.

Google
The rice roll was fantastic. The curry was great. I also had the sausage here which were pretty good.

Google
Food was decent! It was pretty visible to me that our plates and utensils weren’t the cleanest. I could feel the stains when I put my finger over it and my supposedly clean plate had crumbs on it and felt oily when I grabbed it. Unfortunately, that’s a big turn off for me. Our server was friendly and attentive!

this place is freaking good. Cozy, warm light and space. Every dish I got was super delicious They serve always fast. Will come back again and again

Yelp
Ordered on Uber Eats. One of the faster deliveries I have had. Dessert was mango sticky rice and one of the best I've had, including the mango sticky rice I have tried in Thailand. Will be going back to try more and experience the atmosphere.

Yelp
We are strict vegetarians and ordered dishes labeled as vegetarians. Our vegetarian spring rolls had shrimp and pork, our vegetarian Holy Basil had fish sauce and shrimp paste. And our mango sticky rice had a big hair in it. We will never ever eat here again.

Yelp
We came early on a Friday night without a reservation and were able to get seated immediately. They had a special menu with many delicious options but I was a bit overwhelmed since there were barely any photos of the dishes. It was very hard to decide what I want since there were many options to choose from. I would highly suggest adding some photo on the menu! We ended up getting the Lao sampler (came with Lao sausage, jerky, spring rolls, and Laotian papaya salad) and the chef special steamed squid. The dishes were delicious; however, the sauce for the steamed squid was actually quite spicy - even though on the menu it didn't have a spicy sign. I am also not a big fan of Laotian papaya salad. The fish sauce is very pungent so it's not for everyone. However everything else from the Lao sampler was delicious! We also ordered items we have not had before because we wanted to be more adventurous, so it's more likely to encounter something we do not like. I think if I had ordered the common dishes that I already know I like, I'm confident I would have liked the dishes here. This place feels very authentic and I like the ambiance as well. One thing I appreciate is how much space was between the tables. A lot of places in Philly tends to squeeze as many table as possible in a room, but this place felt spacious. There aren't many Laotian places in Philly so highly recommend to give this place a try!

Yelp
Absolutely devoured our meals. This spot was such a great find with decent size portions and flavorful options. Ordered the corn cakes to start with which were delicious and I loved the small salad that it came with. My friend ordered the basil fried rice which I wasn't as big of a fan for since it was a tad spicy and seemed heavy handed in the spices. I don't believe they asked for the spice levels on any of the dishes we ordered either. I am still dreaming about my soup noodles I ordered. I loved how accommodating they were when I asked for a side of chicken since I wanted to share with my vegetarian friend. They came out with this huge bowl of ground chicken. The soup was flavorful and mild seasoning and not spicy for me and the noodles were cooked to perfection. We were so full we didn't have room for dessert - next time! I'll be back.

Yelp
Ordered takeout and it came quickly, still hot. Good portion size, had enough for two meals. Ordered pad kee mao and flavor is a bit different from others I've had but still good, on the spicy side. Mango sticky rice was great but forgot to take photo

Yelp
A slight let down compared to the Thai food I ate last week. Ambiance - great Appetizers Buddha dumplings - A+ Sausage - A Papaya salad - B+ Basil rice - A Thai green curry - C. We asked for Thai spice but this wasn't even American spice Red curry - C. Too sweet Sticky rice with Mango - A

Yelp
All the dishes were tasty and flavorful. Entrees had good portion and reasonably priced. Can't wait to visit again and try other dishes.

Yelp
Ordered Ratchada for delivery this past weekend and am now a huge fan! Papaya salad? Best I've had in a while and covered with peanuts just how I like it. Massaman curry? Flavorful, sweet, and creamy with perfectly slurpable vegetables and tender beef. Drunken noodle? Perfect amount of heat for me with perfectly oiled up noodles, chicken, and veg. Overall, a perfect order perfectly executed. I haven't tried much of the takeout Thai/Laos cuisine in Philly (save the big names like Kalaya and Grandma's) but it'll be hard to switch up from Ratchada after really enjoying the price and selection. They have a perfect menu and I look forward to trying the curry puffs and the duck on my next order. I don't live near here so it's unlikely I'll stop into the restaurant itself, but will be sure to post an update in the event I do! Thanks for the existing and the amazing cuisine, Ratchada!

Yelp
I really liked this place. They have so many great options on the menu. I was looking forward to visiting a great Thai place in the area. I love the interior. They have a lot of beautiful artwork and sculptures. I visited only 5 times. I tried the Thai Basil with shrimp, Yum Woon Sen Salad, Fried calamari, and the Red Curry Entree with shrimp. The fried calamari just tasted like typical fried tubes, I didn't taste anything, but everything else had a lot of flavor and great sized portions. Unfortunately, I won't be back because the last time I visited, their pet dog was in the dining area. At first, I thought the pet might have been a customers dog, but then one of the staff members called the dog to come back with her to the kitchen. I love pets, especially dogs, but I wish people would leave pets at home when running a restaurant. Pets and restaurants dont mix.

Yelp
Solid Thai and Laotian restaurant in Philly. Their takeout business is booming but their restaurant is very beautifully decorated and cute (helps its BYOB too!). We went more the Thai route and got the Thai sampler. While the spring rolls were fantastic, the crepes fell apart and the dumplings were far too dense/dry. The green curry was absolutely delicious and a massive portion. The pad Thai was fantastic and interestingly more sweet than expected but very good and balanced. The staff was super friendly as well. Very nice and will be back!

Yelp
Got takeout yesterday from Ratchada and it was DELICIOUS! We ordered two Chicken Drunken Noodles and the flavor was on point. It hit the right spot. Also the portion was huge too. Will update this review when I dine in one day~

Michael L.

Yelp
Onion soup was just that . Onions in chicken broth. Supposed to have shrimp and chicken it ---just a few slithers of chicken and bits of shrimp Red Curry with chicken--just a few slithers of chicken. Food is tasty, but portions are really small--mostly veggies, and not that much of them either.

Yelp
Update: I keep coming back here for really solid Thai food and am so grateful it's so close to my house. They have their own online ordering system so be sure you use that instead of the delivery apps so they can keep more of their hard-earned cash!! When I dine in, I see people coming in and out constantly; they have a lot of loyal customers it appears because they seem to know a lot of them. This is a great place to take your parents or grandparents, and I've definitely seen people on dates here too. Don't sleep on Ratchada.

Yelp
Came here with family to celebrate a new grad. Flavors in all food were well balanced. Not too spicy at all - just the right level of burn. Everything was good that I tried but everyone was hungry so unfortunately I didn't get to try everything. I'd come back again if ever presented with the opportunity. Duck had a perfect cook too which is what was recommended.

Yelp
I ordered the basil fried rice but it lacked in flavor. I had to use my own chili oil and they didn't add enough basil. It was a decent meal but I was hoping for more authentic taste.

Yelp
Experience: I went to Ratchada Thai & Laos Cuisine for the first time and really enjoyed my experience. I would recommend this restaurant if you're looking for an authentic place to try dishes from various regions of Thailand and Laos. Atmosphere: It's a beautifully designed restaurant with a dimly lit ambiance that makes it great for dinner with friends or a significant other! Service: The service was fast, considerate, and hospitable. This was my first time trying authentic Thai & Laos cuisine so I asked lots of questions to the waiter about the food. Food: First, the Tomkha Chicken Soup was great - the flavor and the fact that you eat this with rice reminded me of a curry you might find in more American Thai restaurants. The Crab Fried Rice was plentiful, came with lots of healthy vegetables, and was overall filling. Lastly, the Ratchada Duck was amazing - I enjoyed the crispiness on the outside but the tenderness on the inside. This was served with a delicious sauce and a side of vegetables and mangoes.

Yelp
Went to Ratchada for an impromptu dinner and it did not disappoint. I did not make a reservation but they happily accommodated me. I also got there right before the 630pm Saturday Philly rush hour for dinner. Good thing because by 7 it was packed. I ordered the drunken noodles with beef (so good), Tom yum soup (also fantastic) , Thai dumplings (so meaty and yummy) , Massaman curry with chicken (got this spicy and the flavors were an explosion of absolute yumminess) and the chu chee duck was by far the best dish on the menu. The combination of crispy duck with the sauce was unbelievable. Highly recommend! Ambiance was really chic, cozy vibe and free parking is available outside. Really great option for dinner/date night spot.

Yelp
Omg so good - year after year. The sampler plus duck was just way too much food. Sampler - spring rolls and papaya salad was on point. I'm less keen on the dumplings as those taste slightly like bland pork meat and flour (I know that's what they are but it literally feels like two separate ingredients). The duck - I don't know where they get their ducks. Just the right amount of fat, crispy skin, and juicy meat. Service is typical yet extremely friendly - don't expect a 5star hotel and you'll be A-ok!!

Yelp
BOYB establishment. And if you forget to BYOB, there's a wine & spirit 10 mins walk away. Their coconut based soups are really good. I wish I took more pictures of my food, but trust me when I say that the food tastes better than it looks. (Presentation was normal)

Yelp
I ordered the food for delivery from Uber eats and they came fast and hot. Tofu: good amount of silky tofu with sweet chopped peanut topping . It came with a small salad. Highly recommended. Rice crepe: the dough was thick but fresh with ground chicken fillings, also came with the same sweet ground peanut topping and small salad. I prefer thinner noodles because I want to taste more of the chicken. Chicken satay: big chunks of chicken breast but a bit dry, however the peanut sauce is so tasty

Yelp
Ugh probably one of the best Thai restaurants in Philly. Beautiful interior and fast service. Would recommend the Ratchada duck and their calamari. So good!

Yelp
Small, unassuming restaurant on 11th street across from the Wing Phat Plaza - with big bold flavors. My friend and I ordered enough food for four people, and our bill came to $63.45 post tax, pre tip. The menu had so many thing we wanted to try, so we ordered a bunch of appetizers for our first visit. If I could highly recommend any dish, it's the Koong Sarong. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, and I absolutely loved the crispy egg noodles for such a nice flavor as well as texture - and the uniqueness of this dish - love! The chicken skewers are a THICK BOYS, look at the photos. But this didn't mean the chicken was dry. It was so well marinated, delicious on it's on, juicy on the inside - and the peanut sauce to go with it was great as well. Thai crepes were very good too - good texture difference on the fillings and both savory and sweet. This reminded me of some of the dumpling appetizers at Kalaya, but for a fraction of the cost. Huge fan of the Grilled sticky rice, love that crunchy texture on the outside and nice soft sticky rice on the inside. My friend also loved her pork and beef jerky. I will surely be back as all we got were appetizers, next time - entree time! Service was wonderful, very friendly, sweet, and homey. I would definitely recommend Ratchada for a great meal with southeast Asian cuisine. And if you've been eying a place like Kalaya but it's out of your price range - try this place out.

Yelp
I've been loyally ordering takeout from Ratchada since I moved to the neighborhood in 2020. The quality of the food slightly varies but has typically been reliable. My last takeout order, the portions were so small I even checked if something had spilled in the bag. The side of white rice that comes with meals was at most 2 large spoonfuls and only covered the bottom of the container. I'm curious if they were having supply issues or if this is the new norm. For over $100 for 3 meals, this was a bit disappointing and will be on the lookout for a new local Thai spot.

Yelp
Great place to have Thai foods in Philly. We ordered Laos sampler and it comes with pork jerky, sausages and Som Tum Lao. Som Tum Lao (Lao papaya salad) was really good and the sausage was very well done. Wished the pork jerky was more crispy. I particularly enjoyed their Thai crepes which described on the menu as rice crepes filled with chicken, onion, sweet radish, ground peanut served with sweet and sour-peanut sauce. This is delicious and hard to find at other Thai restaurants!

Yelp
Been here a number of times last several years. We usually have the Koong Sarong for appetizer, as we did this time. My family member got the Massaman Curry with beef, and I got the Chu Chee Duck Chef Special. Mango sticky rice was our dessert. Koong Sarong is usually consistently tasty, and that stayed the same this time around. I thought flavors were on point for my Duck dish, but others may find it dry as it's cooked differently compared to Cantonese roast duck. Other times I came here, I usually got the Ratchada Duck chef special - and that's also usually consistently good. While both duck specials are good, I personally like the Ratchada Duck Chef Special a bit more. My family member wasn't thrilled with their curry, though it's partially because the curry flavor wasn't their cup of tea. Curry was otherwise fine. One complaint would be that the beef was in small pieces. Mango sticky rice was probably the MVP this time, as it has improved since the last time we ordered it. The sweetness level was just right. Side note: I recommend the crab meat fried rice (Kao Pad Pu) as an alternate entree option. Previous times we got it, it was quite tasty. And it has real crab meat. That said, be sure to request it less spicy if your tolerance level isn't high. The dish contains a lot of small pepper pieces otherwise.
google avatar

Josh R.

Yelp
Solid Thai food. Not too Americanized, so keep that in mind when requesting the spice level. We appreciate that their ingredients are higher quality than competitors, especially the green beans and shrimp.

Yelp
At Ratchada is where I ate one of the best meals in Philly that I've had in a long time. This place is legit! The food is so delicious. I was introduced to Ratchada by friends who recently moved to the area. After a day of walking around the city with them, we fortunately ended up here for dinner. We were a party of seven. Staff were able to accommodate the size of our group by moving tables around with no problem. The interior of Ratchada is beautiful, with all the dark wood and decorations. And it has a very relaxed and chill atmosphere (even though there were a number of other diners that evening having conversations and enjoying their meals). We were served with iced metal cups for our waters, and also ordered Thai iced teas - after walking around all day, we were beyond parched. Some of us ordered appetizers along with a main meal. I often will order something vegetarian so my partner and I can sample each other's dishes. We tried - - Kanom Gui Chai (this was SO good! it's the crispy chive cake) - Thai Veggie Roll - Lovely Eggplant Vegetarian Entree - Wild Ginger Some of the dishes that our friends ordered were Pad Kee Mao Noodles, Pad Prik King, and Massaman Curry. I'm not sure if it is written in the menu, but you can also order Khao Soi - a coconut milk curry dish from Northern Thailand with egg noodles and crispy noodles. Our one friend ordered it and, when I saw it come out of the kitchen, in my head I swore that I would order it next time we go there. In sum, highly recommend Ratchada if you are in Philly. So good and a great dining experience.

Yelp
This place just Ratchaded itself to the top of my list of hidden gems to recommend to friends. My friend and I split: Khao Jee Ping- fried sticky rice with beef jerky and small side cabbage salad. This was so interesting and delicious. Pork Laab- a little spicy and came with shredded lettuce and cucumbers instead of wraps, very good. Tulip dumplings- the dipping sauce for these was amazing and they are stuffed with meat and topped with shrimp. The Tom Yum Noodles (how is this a thing I've never tried?) broth flavor was awesome (a bit spicy) and the shrimp were huge and there were lots of them! The noodles were a tiny bit overcooked and the shrimp a tiny bit undercooked, but that is my only complaint about the food. The bill came to about $30 each which is so cheap, and it's BYOB! We were stuffed and each took home enough leftovers for a small meal. They had one outdoor table for us on the sidewalk and brought out a tupperware for our pup to drink some water. We also saw them bring out another table for some other diners who showed up later. Service was friendly and the waitress gave great recommendations. Food came out fast and they kept our iced water jug full which was key for eating outside in 90 degree weather. They also had a large vegetarian section of their menu which I can't see online but looked really good. This is the Laos Thaime I'm going to tell you this- this place is delicious and you should check it out!

Yelp
Great food and nice staff. I love their menu. Very friendly, easy to find and table even without reservation. Nice and relaxing place.

Yelp
What a great thai place! The price is so affordable for the portion and how amazing it is! The service was very good too and the atmosphere is amazing. I was here with friends to catch up, and we definitely took forever to order and stayed for a while, and the staff was so kind and did not rush us or made us feel unwelcome at all. We ordered Massaman Curry Entree, pad thai shrimp, Pad Himmaparn Sauteed Entree, Mango Sticky rice, and Khao Jee Ping Everything here was freaking delicious! I highly recommend it. Especially the mango sticky rice and Khao Jee Ping. The grilled sticky rice is so amazing. It's crispy and so satisfying to eat. Definitely stop by and try it out!!!

Yelp
Food is fine but the service is bizarre and rude. We were a party of 3 and 2 of us weren't too hungry so we decided to order light apps and one entree. As soon as we placed our order, the server became visibly annoyed that we ordered "so little" for a party of 3. We laughed it off but noted that that was weird. Food came out fast and tasted fine. It was the end of the dinner that kind of solidified that this establishment has no sense of customer service and is - quite frankly - a joke. My friend kindly took care of the bill. Moments later, we were interrupted as the server came over with the paid bill and asked us, "was there something wrong with the service or food?" We were so confused and said no...why? She then continued - and here's the kicker - "because you tip so low, the tip you gave is less than the suggested amount." It was $1 off from the "suggested tip." I was mortified. I had chosen this restaurant for the 3 of us and now we were in this awkward ass situation. She proceeded to stand there and continue to harass and ask us about the service and for more tip. She eventually walked away but left the check on our table for us to "amend the tip." I am still mortified and completely embarrassed. I have never been harassed over $1. I thought this stuff only happens in movies! Like what?????? TLDR; tip the suggested amount on the bill or the server will come to your table and harass and embarrass you in front of your guests.

Yelp
Our go to! Ratchada is always delicious. We normally get the tofu satay skewers, veggie spring rolls, pad kee mao, panang Jay Curry.
google avatar

Julie W.

Yelp
Omg yessss. We didn't venture far from our normal Thai restaurant order (pad Thai and a curry, red this time) but decided to also get the Ratchada duck. What an awesome choice! The meat was juicy, skin crispy, and the tamarind sauce spicy but sweet. So delicious! We'll definitely order it again next time! Red curry was mild, even my toddler ate it, and I haven't had space to truly try the pad Thai yet but the bite I had was good enough. We did takeout. We ate here years ago but I don't remember it.

Yelp
casual but nice space, great flavors. loved my Khao soi. veggie dumplings were excellent too. will be back!

Yelp
This place was my go-to back when I lived in Philly a few years back. Their pad Thai and drunken noodles used to satisfied this amateur college student.. Def get the Thai milk tea, one of the few spots where the tea has a kick of saltiness which made the drink much more enjoyable than pure sweetness. The tom yum nam khon was a great start. Although I wish it was a tad less sweet. The Laos papaya salad was my personal favorite of this meal! Full of flavors and level 2 of spice choice was just perfect for most of us to enjoy. If I had to choose which entree to recommend, it'd be the drunken noodle. The flavors are def bolder than the rest. The Tom Kha was unexpectedly way too sweet we had to be the bad customers who returned it to the kitchen. The server told us it was made correctly and it is how it was suppose to taste. I'm not sure if this Tom Kha was made from a different region of Thailand cause I have never tasted any Tom Kha this sweet ever before. She did make an effort to have it fixed but it was still too sweet for our taste. This restaurant cannot handle too many customers. There were 3 tables including ours and one of those were a large family table about 8-10 people. Along with a few takeouts, the service was exceptionally slow. Our 6 entrees were served in 3 different time intervals of about 5-10 mins in between. By the time my noodles came out, we were ready to pack up everything. Not sure if I'd come back for after this but a quick lunch of Thai tea and drunken noodle should satisfy anyone who needs a quick bite in the area

Yelp
I spent the weekend in Philadelphia and before I left town decided I wanted to grab some Thai food since it had been pretty Italian-heavy. This place was a short walk from the Italian market area...and WOW. Definitely worth the change of scenery. EVERYTHING about this meal was amazing. The decor, the music they played (strange jazzy rearrangements of 80's tunes), an incredibly nice server, and the food. THE FOOD! Thai food is one of my favorites and this is THE BEST Thai food I've had since my trip to Thailand. My only regret is only having one meal here, I would have loved to have tried more things...and by the looks of what other tables were getting, it all looked/smelled amazing. I will 1000% be back. (Get the Thai appetizer sampler...see the pic attached and understand why!) and try to leave room for Grandma's daily dessert special.

Yelp
This is easily my favorite Thai place in the city! Every time we've gone, we order different dishes and each time it's exceeded our expectations. The food is very fresh and different from other Thai places we've been to. The owner is super friendly and will personally come and check on how your meal was. The spice level is adjustable upon request. But warning, Thai spicy is spicyyy! So order accordingly. They also do a Thai night on Mondays where the chef will select a menu which includes 1-2 appetizers and 2 entrees to share along with dessert for a set price. The menu is different from their regular menu and is considered more "authentic" Thai. I've gone in on a Monday and really enjoyed the food - do recommend trying this option at least once ! If you do decide to try this place out, I believe on Mondays they exclusively do Thai night and do not serve their regular menu

Yelp
First thing, I will revisit for sure! Haven't had a good Thai meal for a while, and would definitely come back to try other food on the menu. It was a Friday night, party of 4. Good ambience! We ordered 4 appetizers, 2 soups, 2 entree, 1 dessert, and ended up $140 incl tips. Everything is in good portion, overall the price to performance is high, I would definitely recommend it to people. We all LOVED the Curry Puff, slight crips on the outside and pillowy inside, the flavour of the curry fillings were just right, nothing overpowering, a very comfortable bite. Recommend to finish it right when it comes out from the kitchen. Most of the food we ordered can choose its own spiciness on a scale from 1 to 5, which it's a plus. We chose everything in 3. For salad, we had the Thai Papaya Salad, which was refreshing and the Laab (pork) Salad, it was great! Fried Calamari - batter was light and slightly crispy, calamari was firm and NOT rubbery. For entree, we had the Ratchada Duck Chef Special, meat was tender and well seasoned. The dish was served with cooked mango, which reminded me of home. My mom used to make stir-fried mango with chicken. If you've never tried cooked mango with meat before, try it! It's interesting, sweet, spicy with a hint of spiciness. Second entree was Red Curry with Chicken, it was good on its own. The only thing that I wished I would have done was to order a side of sticky rice to pair with it. We had Mango Sticky Rice for dessert, and I accidently dropped the sticky rice into the curry sauce. OH BOY, it was AMAZING, especially the rice had coconut in it. YUM YUM! Before I head to the dessert, there was a slight down side to the night, the soup. We ordered the Tom Yum, it was flavorful, it was just a bit too sweet for my taste, so I asked for some lime to balance out, it was fine in the end. The rice was too mushy as well. Last, Mango Sticky Rice, it's March, mango wasn't in season, it wasn't super sweet, which I understood. The sauce tho, was the HIGHLIGHT! Right amount of saltiness and sweetness. There were a lot of times that I got disappointed by the sauce, some sauce was just blended because people didn't put enough salt in it. They did it just right! It was a wonderful meal! There are a lot of options on the menu and I will come back for sure!

Yelp
Had Ratchada for the first time even though I lived around here my entire life! I was taken by surprise by how good the food was. Will definitely come back. My bf and I came here on a weekday night and there was no wait. The service was also very good!

Yelp
Had a lunch date with my wife there yesterday. We got there not long after opening so we were the only ones in the restaurant. There was a lot of take our traffic. It's a nice cozy spot with beautiful art and decorations. Our waitress was incredibly friendly making sure everything tasted good and if the spice level was on point. I couldn't have asked for a better lunch. We got the curry puffs, Thai sampler, and beef pad kee mao. The puffs were airy, crispy and packed with filling. It came with a slaw and chutney which I felt the puffs were good enough on their own but the accompaniments put it over the top. The sampler had a nice combination of items and is perfect if you aren't sure what to get. The crepes were the star item to me. The pad kee mao was the best I've had. There was so much flavor and the spice wasn't too strong but enough to hit the back of your throat. The beef and noodles were cooked perfectly. We also got a Thai iced coffee to go. It was a little too sweet for me but was still good. I feel like Vietnamese iced coffee is stronger which is what I like but that's just my opinion. I can't wait to go back to try some of the other items.

Yelp
Had some Chicken Pad thai from here. It wasn't bad at all, but I definitely would have liked more sauce or more spice to it. The portions were great, too. Took me 2 sittings to finish it. The Thai spring rolls were really good, too. I would definitely try this spot out again soon. I've only tried 1 other thai place in south philly, but this one was pretty solid, just prefer more spice on mine. Wait time for pick-up was a good 25 minutes. Not bad at all.

Yelp
The decor in the restaurant is very authentic. Tai wall hangings and art, is displayed on every wall. Great atmosphere, and service. The menu is a QR code scan, as their Menüs have not been updated with their new prices since Covid started. The prices are reasonable, as the quality of the ingredients were all good! The fried curry dumplings were excellent, and the pineapple salad appetizer was very crisp with a great vinaigrette dressing. The beef Tai Basil was a good cut of beef and seemed to have been marinated, not just touched by the sauce! Overall food experience was great!

Yelp
Went with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered the Thai Pork Spring Rolls, Green Curry Fried Rice with Chicken, and Red Curry with Chicken. Food came out in the manner they were meant to, the spring rolls came out first and it was piping hot... so it definitely was fresh. My friend and I raved about it, it was so delicious. It came with sauce and a small pickled salad (I think it was pickled... or brined, idk) but the salad had a kick to it! Then the fried rice. I wanted a green curry, but it was my friend's first time eating Thai food so I didn't want to blow her head off and ordered the green curry fried rice for the table. It is enough for 2 very hungry people. The fried rice was great, there was a kick to it, probably from the tiny peppers in it. But we both loved spice so we enjoyed the dish! The red curry was delicious and packed full with veggies and chicken. It came with a side of rice. We were both half way full by the time it came out, so we ate very little of it. So I took it home and have it as leftovers, still delicious and mildly spicy. Will come back again, and next time try the green curry! Oh also the decor inside, is sooo nice, loved it :)

Yelp
Ratchada was recommended to us by a relative and we were excited to try it out. Parking could be a pain but the struggle is definitely worth it. We ordered the tulip dumplings, fish cakes, and Laos sausages which were super tasty. The sauces are incredible and great pairing with the food. The pad Thai was super yummy too!

Yelp
I was here for the first time today with my mother for her birthday. I have been interested in coming here for a while. I was intrigued by the menu options, and the other yelp reviews, and pictures of the food. The decor on the inside is pretty neat, and they also had Christmas decorations/music. The people who work here are super sweet, and very kind. The food came out nice and quick. My mother and I ordered the calamari to start which came with a side of sweet thai chili sauce over a bed of salad. The calamari was incredible, and the sauces on the side were great for dipping. It also came with a side of hot sauce too. My mother ordered some jasmine tea which came out a little cold, but oh well. She also ordered the Thai basil stir fry with chicken. It was nice and spicy, but not too intense. However, it did creep up on her as she continued eating! I must say she only ordered it with a 3 out of 5 pepper spice level, so I can only imagine what a 5 would be like! I tried some of her meal and it was great. Also for my main course, I ordered the pad si ew noodles which came with a sweet soy sauce and mixed vegetables. I also added chicken to mine. Two thumbs up. For dessert we ordered the banana and dark chocolate which came with a side of coconut milk red bean ice cream. The bananas were wrapped in spring roll wrappers and deep fried and topped with what seemed like chocolate sauce. Bizarre, and just okay. The ice cream was not good. It also had an inedible green thing which was practically like chewing on a green rock. Maybe it was edible, but it was super hard, and I didn't want to break my teeth! We wanted to get the coconut ice cream which I saw on the yelp page, but unfortunately they didn't have it. Also, I am interested in trying the mango sticky rice at some point. Overall, from the hot food alone, I would 1,000 percent come back. Also, the service was A plus. Very sweet people too. I will spread the word to my friends , and I will definitely come back!

Yelp
Such a great ambiance in this restaurant - everything we got was great. I highly recommend the tom yum noodle soup with the creamy base. The ground pork/chicken isn't the best but the flavor of the broth is unbeatable. The $3 Thai tea was delicious!

Yelp
This was the BEST pad kee mao (drunken noodle) I've ever had. Halfway through eating, I was like "hold up, lemme take a picture so I can bless my friends and family in a group text." Then I decided to leave a yelp review to continue the blessing. You're welcome y'all. 10/10 would recommend. (Also had the Buddha dumplings which were also very zen & delicious too)

Yelp
Delicious food. Have only ordered take out so can't speak to in house dining experience. Good curries and 10/10 for sticky rice dishes. Mmm love the app of kha jee ping (it's basically a sticky rice patty that you break apart - at least I think; that's how I ate it - and mixed with slightly spicy pork jerky and a few veggies/herbs, all tied together with a dressing that I think was mostly fish sauce/sugar). Yum! My other favorite dish is the dessert of the mango sticky rice. Will def continue to order from here.
