Rattlebag

My boyfriend and I visited The Rattlebag in Belfast last night for a few cocktails before dinner, and honestly the experience was incredible from start to finish. The service was completely out of this world amazing. We are from Derry and have genuinely never experienced service like it anywhere before. Every member of staff was so attentive, welcoming, and professional, which made the whole evening feel really special. The cocktails were absolutely beautiful, especially the Aviation and the Hi Bar. Both were perfectly made and presented. The atmosphere was class, very stylish and private, and the music was at the perfect level so you could still have a proper conversation, which we really appreciated. It was a busy night so there was a short wait of about 20 minutes, but we did not mind at all. We popped over to Bullitt Hotel for a quick drink while we waited and it worked out perfectly. A huge thank you to the two managers. One was Matthew and we did not catch the other gentleman’s name, but both were absolutely fantastic and made us feel so well looked after. Overall an amazing experience and somewhere we will definitely return to next time we are in the city. Thank you again for such outstanding service.

We discovered this speakeasy a little while ago while looking for a good cocktail spot, and it’s become one of our absolute favourites. The atmosphere is relaxed, stylish, and perfect for a night out, but what really sets it apart is the staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially the manager, Chris. On our last visit, I mentioned we were celebrating my promotion at work, and Chris surprised us with complimentary Prosecco to mark the occasion — a small gesture that genuinely meant a lot. It’s that level of personal touch that keeps us coming back. We’re now regulars whenever we’re out in the city, and every visit is consistently excellent. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great cocktails and even better service.

Fantastic Cocktail Bar. Great decor, great atmosphere, great music and fantastic staff. Cocktails are more adult, ie not as saccharine sweet as other bars, more emphasis on the alcohol but not overpowering. If in Belfast would highly recommend to pay it a visit, I know I'll be back

A low key bar in the centre of Belfast, which I visited early evening and that delivers on many levels. A relaxed environment with superb cocktails but also offer bottled beers. You are well looked after by the staff who cater for your needs. The High Ball was my favourite drink which included banana soda. A wonderful experience. I was on my own and the manager/owner - I think his name was Chris - came for a chat. What a warm and friendly individual. A very casual discussion we had and felt like chatting to a mate. It’s a small and intimate bar and would avoid if on a hen party or stag do. That said it’s far from pretentious so get yourself through those big wooden doors and immerse yourself in a glorious experience.

Visited for Tokyo Jazz Joints. Staff immediately on hand to help find a seat. Bar staff seem to have a sixth sense for customer needs and work tirelessly. Beautiful presentation and care to detail. The cocktails are real, the quality and strength of the alcohol justifying the price.

Have been to the Bullit many times but only discovered Rattlebag yesterday when out for a Christmas lunch with friends. Great experience, service was first class and the cocktails were excellent. Particularly the Aviation which was presented so well. Will definitely be back.

What an unreal place! I'm so glad we discovered it, the cocktails are amazing 😍 I'd highly recommend this place. It is very classy with a range of excellent cocktails, something for everyone. The staff are absolutely lovely too and the service is incredible!

Tried here after a Birthday lunch for the first time. This is a cocktail only bar with an extensive menu and everything going for £13. Had 2 50:50 Martinis which were delicious and well-balanced with gin and vermouth, spritzed with orange bitters. Nice ambience. More of a treat rather than a regular spot.
