One of my family’s all-time favorite restaurants. Freshly prepared, filled with flavor, and generous portions. Perfect for gatherings or take out as well. Highly recommend and always love coming back!

Google
Great food in a friendly environment. Most of the time, they are busy, but will check with the customers to see if they need any help. After 5 years, I just visited them today(4/26/25). Service is good food taste good. However, I suggest that they give more meat with their fajitas. It is like lots of onion and bell pepper covered with few thin slices of beef.

My friends and I were looking for something different than our usual bar food. We stopped by Raul's and had great food. I had their 3 enchiladas special, with white, green, and red sauce. I got no idea what the white sauce was, but it tasted good. Plenty of beans and rice, all served on a very hot platter that could heat a classroom from the radiated heat coming off it. They also served Coke in a tall glass bottle, which was pretty cool since I've never seen that size in a store. My friends had a good tasting taco salad, which they each liked. Lastly, but actually, firstly, they served a generous bowl of taco chips and small bowls of refried beans dip and another of spicy but not too hot salsa. Very friendly staff and colorful Mexican porcelain adornments throughout the restaurant. It looked like they were doing pretty good takeout, too. I liked the food, the staff, and the place, off to one side of the Raleigh Hills Fred Meyer.

Google
As a Mexican, I definitely would not recommend this place to anybody for various reasons. First off, I will say the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was warm and cooked well, but it didn’t have a lot of taste like other Mexican food I have tried. Along with that I was charged seven dollars for a chili and onions I had asked for and it’s because they served it as a deluxe upgrade on the meal which on paper it says three dollars. So essentially I was charged four dollars for one cooked chili and a little bit of onion. I had ordered the wet burrito.

We ate the first time here on Father's Day . Excellent food , ambiance, and service . Fajita was great ( good amount of juicey chicken and grilled veggies) . The tortilla was also fresh . We will be visiting in future.

Google
As a former Arizonan I'm always searching for a good Mexican food spot up here in Portland-and this one was a good choice! Friendly staff, delicious margaritas, and, most importantly, good food! If you are debating whether or not to stop by this unassuming strip mall restaurant, do it! It's a hidden gem.

Google
One of my favorite spots. Yummy food, friendly service, and family-friendly. You're not a customer, or even a guest-- you're an "amigo" when you walk in. I love this place!

Google
The place was busy but we were seated within 10 minutes. All the food had real authentic flavors and the portions were generous. The margaritas were delicious. Everything in the molcajete was juicy and had a great spice level. The bandera enchiladas were fun and tasty. And the horchata was creamy and served in a big ol mug. 10/10

Yelp
We were so excited to find Raul's, my husband and I are always looking for a good Mexican restaurant and we just found our favorite, we will be back soon. It was clean, service was great and the food was amazing!

Yelp
Ambiance was very colorful from the colorful tables and chairs to the flags hung across the ceiling. Definitely had that Mexican vibe. Service was pretty good. Chips and salsa and bean dip on the table as we sat down. My wife and I told them we were sharing a plate and they brought out extra plates without being asked. They refilled drinks when needed although didn't refill my water which is all I was drinking anyway. They brought out boxes without being asked for our leftovers just in case. When we were done, they came and picked up the plates. Food was kinda boring, dry and bland unfortunately which is why I gave the score I did. We ordered chicken fajitas and it was heavy on green peppers and onions but the meat was very dry and the fajita seasoning was barely there. The portion sizes are big enough to share if you aren't that hungry or want leftovers but it felt pricey at $26 given the problems I mentioned. They do give you flour or corn tortillas and you. An get a refill if you run out. I hope I just went on an off night or maybe their other dishes are better. They certainly look good and I hope they taste better. I'd go back again and give them another chance. If I do I'll be sure to update my review.

Yelp
Great service and food! We ordered the Fajita Combo and was perfect for 2 people. The meat could have been a bit less dry but it had great flavor. We enjoyed watching the Euros quarterfinal game. The waiters served with a smile and were very cheerful! Overall, best Mexican food in Portland.

Yelp
Delicious food and nice servers. My daughter is obsessed with their beans and rice. They always make the modifications for allergies we ask for.

Yelp
One of the better Mexican restaurants in the Portland/Beaverton area (considering there's not a lot of sit down places). The menu has a large variety and has something for everyone. Their portions are huge, so either come hungry, share, or be ready to take things home. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Food also came quickly. The restaurant is fun and loved the authentic feeling decorations.

Yelp
Great food, great customer service. We came in for the molcajete and couldn't be happier with our entire meal. The food and margs were delicious and the staff were super attentive and accommodating. They saw us coming with a toddler and full hands and came outside to hold the door and welcome us in. They seated us in an out of the way area so my kiddo could toddle around. It's super cute and colorful inside too! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Food was ok. Not terrible but nothing special here. Great service, really friendly people.

Yelp
Food was great, service was great! Just had extra fees to use your card, drinks were like juice for $18

Yelp
We stopped in for dinner on a whim tonight, party of 8. We were seated immediately and had a terrific meal with great attentive service. The Arroz con Pollo, Enchiladas and Pollo en Crema were generous portions and delicious. Next time we're in Portland we will definitely return!

Yelp
This really should be 1 star, but I dislike leaving awful reviews so there's that... We came here since the place we planned on going was having some event and wasn't taking outside guests. We walked in about 45 minutes before closing. They told us the kitchen closed in 30 mins, but they said that was plenty of time to order. We wanted to be respectful, so we quickly picked out what we wanted to order. And we waited. And waited. And waited. No one came by to take our order. We had to flag someone down. They brought out chips and salsa, which are free. We ordered a burrito and a torta. The food came out fairly quickly after waiting so long to order. But the burrito was super cold. Like it had been sitting out all day. And the torta had barely any meat. The carne asada tasted and looked more like ground beef. It wasn't good. No one ever came to check on us. We, again, had to go find someone to give us our check. Once we got the check, we waited and waited for them to come back and ring us up. We finally just got up and walked to the front to pay. It wasn't good and the service was some of the worst I've ever had. And there were only two other tables with guests in them so they weren't busy.

Yelp
The staff were really nice and kind. I got a burrito that came with I believe a enchilada sauce and it was kinda sweet and not spicy and it added a lot of flavor to the dish. I loved the decorations inside were wonderful and the artwork was beautiful overall 10 out of 10 experience.

Yelp
One of the best margaritas in Portland! Get the one that's in the shaker!! No bar but drinks are great and food rocks too!
google avatar

Yelp
I came once a few years ago and it was alright. This time it was better. The interior is very colorful and inviting. I ordered something healthy and low carb, the Carne Asada Salad. There was plenty of meat on the salad but it lacked in flavor since there was not a lot of pico or salsa to eat it with. The service was good though, they were quite attentive and came by to refill our waters a few times. They also serve salsa and bean dip with the chips, they were all pretty flavorful. I'll come back again to try something more traditional.

Yelp
We love going to Raul's. Great food, very reasonably priced, and nice Mexican atmosphere.

Jessica T.

Yelp
Very nice service and plentiful food. All the classic Mexican dishes. A nice neighborhood place. I also love the Mexican flair in the decor. Once you are inside you don't notice you are in a strip mall.

Christine H.

Yelp
I love Mexican food , and this is a perfect place to enjoy it. The service is prompt and friendly, and the ambience is perfect.

Yelp
This place continues to get worse as the prices continue to rise. Was here a few days ago and it was disappointing. My enchilada on the bottom was so tough I had to cut it with a knife, the salad has been replaced with coleslaw (?) Yes, coleslaw, which wasn't good. The beans tasted burnt. The service was also not acceptable. Wait staff couldn't bother to see if we even needed are water glasses filled, which we did. I will not be back.

Yelp
Raul's: Waiter finally comes over to me and I have been waiting over 10 minutes in an empty restaurant without a drink. It's hot outside and I just hiked. He asks me if he can get me a drink. Drink free I'm cranky and say, "I've been here for awhile. I know what I want." Not rude but not friendly like I normally am. Evidently I want to have my food spit in today. Lucky I have enough cash that I can pay without giving them my credit card. Food is awful, zero tequila in drink, service awful. Bartended so I know zero tequila in drink - they topped the mango mix with margarita mix and didn't even bother stirring. Also, I know what tequila tastes like. Trying to decide on tip and yelp. I was testy which is wrong but the rest is totally on them. I'm actually going to another Mexican restaurant right now to have what I wanted. Fail :( Service in the past has been good but the food was never above a B-

Steve R.

Yelp
Chips and salsa were at our table before I could blink. A margarita followed in short order. Salsa was great. Food was great. Service was great. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I've stopped at Raul's many times now, mainly to sip on a margarita on nights when I need to go grocery shopping, but the Fred Meyers across the way is packed and I want let the heavy traffic die down before I go in. The drinks here are decent.. fruity and foo-foo, if that's your style. The quality of service here is very iffy and seems to vary each day. On my last visit, I ordered, "your most basic, top-shelf margarita", to which the server replied, "I got you" and proceeded to bring out a $20 (which I only learned the price of after the check arrived) disgustingly sugary margarita that included a mini flag, a light-up shot class and fruits.. basically the most expensive drink on the menu and the total opposite of what I wanted. This most recent visit was also the 2nd time I've ordered actual food (to go) from them, specifically off their vegetarian menu and the 2nd time I've unintentionally ate meat in the last 23 years of being vegetarian. I pointed at the exact item on the menu and repeated the name of the vegetarian enchiladas I wanted and stupidly went home without looking, assuming they made it correctly. When I was home a few hours later, I reheated my food and eagerly took several bites before I realized I just ate chicken. This maybe a too graphic for some (so skip the next line), but I tried to throw it up and was unable to... extremely upsetting for me. I should have noticed the error, but at the same time (as a former chef, myself), I'm really over the recent uptick in restaurants overlooking the basic requests of their customer, despite raising their prices. I'm a lifelong vegetarian, partly because I'm allergic to certain meats and mainly because I don't want to eat animals. Maybe that's laughable to some that I unintentionally ate meat, but it's truly devastating to me. I'm never coming back here again, because I only want to pay well for service I can trust. That being said, everyone's experience is different, so go ahead and try it out for yourself, if you'd like.

Yelp
Would not comeback. Nothing "wow" about this place. My meat was over cooked and chewy, Spanish rice had no flavor.. I didn't even take my leftovers. Service was just okay. The $14 margarita and salsa were the only decent things about this place.

John T.

Yelp
First the positives, nice clean restaurant with interesting decor. Friendly service. But... The food was just not very good. My tostada had lettuce that was far too wet and caused the corn tortilla underneath it becomes soggy. The shredded beef was incredibly salty. So salty I could not eat any of it. There wasn't much guacamole but that was the only thing worth eating. Except for the coleslaw was pretty good. The refried beans had kind of a pork or bacon flavor that just didn't seem to mix well. Meals come with a basket of chips, and salsa and refried bean dip. But the refried beans had that same funky flavor of like old bacon or old pork. And the refried bean dip was also very salty. I also thought the price was a little bit high for what we got, especially since I couldn't eat half of it.

Yelp
Great spot, authentic, tasty, Great service, food is beyond amazing. This is family owned, the villasrnor family has 3 different restaurants to try. All a little different.
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
I ordered the espresso burrito with chicken & the chicken was very dry, there was not really enough sauce in my opinion, the decor is very nice. The servers were on top of it & didn't bother much throughout my meal
google avatar

Maribel V.

Yelp
Best mexican food in the Beaverton/Portland area. the portions are generous so you really get a good bang for your buck. the margaritas are incredible, you can taste the freshness. they use fresh squeezed lime juice and orange juice and that's what sets this margarita apart from a lot of others. their homemade salsas have great flavor and are super mild so even if you can't handle any sort of heat, you can handle these. the "mexican candies" were our absolute favorite! it's a mix of sautéed onions, jalapeños, salt and lime! i could eat those by the spoonful!! service was outstanding & quick. we went for dinner and were in and outta there in less than 40mins.
google avatar

Abby E.

Yelp
Order food to be picked up. On the positive side, they had great beans and rice and huge potions for the price. However- The queso cheese dip tasted like velveta cheese and the vegetarian enchilada was bland and had a terrible texture. Probably will not be returning. I wanted so much to like this place!

Yelp
Iam from Big D Texas...so i search for mexican restaurants in area... Found Raul's so what tha hell lets give it chance... Nice place and great service and food pretty damn good. A bit pricey but its all good. Must try.

S M.

Yelp
We used to go here every few weeks because of the location, staff and the food is good...not great, but good. We have not been for about two months and came in last night to be STUNNED by their new prices. I get it, things have gone up in price but when quesadillas are $18 and everything else on the menu is $25+ they are just not this type of restaurant. The prices are much higher than Matador in Portland which is superior food and ambiance. I hope others are fine with these outrageous prices and keep this place going, but we will never return.
google avatar

Yelp
Raul's is such a great family owned business in the Raleigh Hills area! The food tastes great, the owners are awesome, and the portions are extremely generous. I highly recommend the fajita sampler. It comes with chicken, shrimp, steak, veggies, and tortillas. It also comes with rice, beans, pico, and sour cream. It filled up three of us!! The servings are big making it easy to split amongst a group. The skinny margarita and Paloma is delicious as well. It's a great place to gather with friends and share a meal/drink. Highly recommend!!

Tracy B.

Yelp
Love Raul's! Such a great spot with such friendly staff. They have an amazing selection of house made salsas from mild to holy heck! The food is always delicious because the recipes are family crafted and so it doesn't matter who's cooking on any given day/night, youll get it the same way every time. My picky kids ask to eat here multiple times per week. We love this little neighborhood establishment.
google avatar

Yelp
Rauls! It's the hidden gem in the Fred Meyer Shopping center. Since relocating to PDX we have been on the hunt for our favorite Mexican restaurants & this place is definitely on the list! First of all their customer service is always 5/5! I can always expect the chips & bean dip to be fresh and warm. So far we've tried their express burritos , chicken mole, and another time the pollo asado. They also serve really great portions and have a special lunch menu during the week that's definitely a steal for the price. We also like their horchata and jamaica water. Definitely stop by if you're in the area! & be patient please all places are low staff!
google avatar

Courtney S.

Yelp
Friendly staff with yummy food! It's a little pricey but the serving sizes are generous. You could easily get full off the portions and still have enough food to have a decent snack after. A nice extra bonus was the huge bag of chips and salsa that they threw in for free with the to-go order.
google avatar

Donna T.

Yelp
Excellent food, fast service, and parking right in front. We had various dishes and everything was delicious!
google avatar

Jamie H.

Yelp
The food was excellent!! The service was quick and friendly. A little spendy for lunch, but we were also a bit late for lunch so we may not have seen the lunch menu. I would definitely recommend

Renner L.

Yelp
amazing food and the service is always outstanding. would highly recommend for families, mine has been coming here for years.

Carissa C.

Yelp
The food is okay. I gave it three stars because of the customer service. Our hostess seemed angry and seemed like she didn't want to be there.
google avatar

Mike F.

Yelp
Been going here off and on for a while now. Wonderful Mexican restaurant with friendly staff, great food and drinks. The Bandera Mexicana Enchiladas are my favorite for sure (UPDATE got a couple notes asking what is in it, so you got 4 Shredded Chicken Enchiladas 1 each covered in it's own salsa/sauce Verde, Cream And Ranchera. The combination of sauces always leave my taste buds guessing. They are delicious and make each enchilada unique with it's own flavor). This is a Mexican restaurant that does a bit more then standard food. They bring in a bit more unique food and flair that gives you a much better then average food experience.
google avatar

Rebecca K.

Yelp
I have been on the lookout for authentic Mexican food since I moved to Portland. And that's a hard thing to find because "authentic" is different to everyone. It really depends on the area of Mexico the family who runs the restaurant is from! That being said, Raul's was authentic, sit-down Mexican. The second you sit down they bring out chips, salsa, and beans. The menu is pretty extensive. I stuck with a fajita burrito and boy was it tasty! The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The sour cream, guacamole, salsas, rice and beans were all on point. The margaritas are delicious and pull a punch. They aren't watered down, too sweet, or lazily-made. They taste the way a margarita should taste! The staff is super friendly. The restaurant is clean and easy to find. Plenty of parking. It's in a strip mall. But once you go inside you feel transported! The prices are a little high for Mexican food, but it's worth it to satisfy that craving. I will most definitely be back!

Yelp
The hubs and I are really hungry after walking through whole day in the Woodburn Outlet. After dliberating for 15+ mins we finally picked this place to try. Decor: Don't be fooled by the outside. It is the inside that counts! The interior is decorated with beautiful Mexican murals and colours. Spanish music is playing overhead while soccer is showing on the TV screens. Wonderful family atmosphere. Customer service: Once we arrived (at around 8:35pm), we were seated immediately toward the back of the restaurant. We were provided the dinner and drinks menu, water, and chips with salsa and beans dip upon seating. Why is it that drinks menu doesn't have pricing printed on them? We had to ask the server how much the drinks cost, but he can only provide range of price ("oh the drinks are around $12-16"). We didn't like that the prices are not upfront so we skipped the drinks. During the dinner water is refilled frequently, and that the servers frequently walked around attending to our needs. Kitchen service: ordered the molcajete and a tosdada sized ceviche at 8:38pm. The orders arrived at 8:54pm. Portion, price and taste: The molcajete tasted amazing - everything is packed with flavour. The ceviche tastes great - tastes like the ones we had in Lima, Peru (except they don't serve it with dried corn here). Both dishes are packed with protein. The portion size is great (but we are Canadians so our portion perception may be skewed). We can't finish the dishes and had to pack the reminder in a box. We ended up with a bill of $28. Ok. This is literally a steal back home. Take my money. Overall: aside from the drinks menu having no price on it, we have no other complaint and will likely come back again when we are in the area.

Yelp
My better half and I have been here a bunch of times, always a great experience with delicious food and a nice environment. I would definitely recommend !

Gloria R.

Yelp
Ordered takeout meal and had very quick service. The meal was attractivly packed and remained hot enough to eat when I got home. Delicious, too
google avatar

Yelp
Cheese enchiladas, refried beans, Mexican rice, crunchy taco, chicken enchiladas, chips and salsa were all delicious.
google avatar

Scarlett V.

Yelp
Got delivery from here for the first time and ordered guac, veggie burrito, chicken fajitas ($20!), carnitas ($20!)and queso. I'm from NYC so overpriced food is no surprised but for a dish that is 40% lettuce rice and beans, $20 feels insanely overpriced. Our order Showed up with no guac, and not a single tortilla for either the fajitas or the carnitas so had to basically just shovel those dishes into our mouths rather than eat as intended. Everything arrived iced cold. Veggie burrito was supposed to have mushrooms and another vegetable in it but was 90% just rice and black beans. No salsa sent with order. I will say the carnitas, once microwaved, we're very tasty and good quality meat but again, didn't have a tortilla or salsa or guacamole to eat it with. Super disappointing. Also Tostitos queso is better than theirs. Would not bother. Order from casa Colima.

Yelp
This is our go to spot now. We absolutely love this place. The food is consistently delicious and the service is always friendly. We have become regulars and loving it! We love the different daily specials they offer.
google avatar

Susannah C.

Yelp
Super friendly staff, and amazing food. Kid friendly. The bean dip for the chips is super good. The salsa is fresh and the right amount of spice.
google avatar

Kristen M.

Yelp
Pros: clean, attractive interior great service: pleasant, attentive staff. He even fixed our wobbly table which didn't bother us, but that was thoughtful nonetheless chili relleno was one of the best I've had in the area, and I'm a snob about these. five star item good salsa Cons: chips were just awful, really dense and so hard they literally hurt my teeth to chew. I gave up after four, which was sad because I was hungry and the salsa was good. beef burrito was curious. Partner said his was literally just the dry, shredded beef inside, but no seasoning or Mexican flavors to it at all. nothing else stood out enough to lure us back, unfortunately.

Ulyssa P.

Yelp
Best margaritas and great food and friendly service at Raul's! Fun environment for family gatherings, too!
google avatar

Luc M.

Yelp
This place NEVER disappoints! I've never had a bad thing off their menu. The lunch menu prices are unbeatable. I've had the macho burrito, tacos, and the torta, and they're all delicious! The margs are tasty and the beers are cold. There's absolutely no bad option on this menu. The chips are fresh and the bean dip and salsa are extremely flavorful. If you're within an hour of this place you have to check it out!
