Will my experience start off really well after Miss Lizzie (manage) she was a kind, very nice young lady. The other lady who initially started with assisting me with the initials B seemed to kind of downgrade herself with her demeanor by shortening her sentences here and there. I did address this with Miss Lizzie, and she pretty much probably let that young lady know about her attitude later on. No... I came back for the cookies, which are so wonderful it's I think it's chocolate pecan (soft in the middle). If you get a chance, I took a picture of the cookie. I believe that at times, by mid-morning, they sell out of these cookies. I came by to get those cookies the day after or so. Miss Adria she was such a baby doll. Great spirit and a lovely lady. I was told that the owners either attained a Russian recipe for these deserts or something of nature. You never know what people are spewing out their mouths now with such stories, but wonderful pastries just like in Paris. Very wonderful. I know for those who have to drive far, it was a drive for me... it is worth it just to check it out and grab something good. By chance, you may want to get there as early as possible because they do sell out on a lot of items. They self make their Breads and everything else. Don't use crazy recipes with lots of ingredients. Is what I know is about this bakery/pastry place. How to make it easier on everybody...check it out the actual menu that had posted, and that should help you choose what you want and you can call ahead to make orders or to do what you need to do to get the delicious pastries and desserts that you like. Take care, everyone, and have a blessed day!

Google
4.7 stars. 1st time to stop in and definitely not the last! Picked up some cookies for an office. Very reasonable prices. Great looking and even better tasting products. Will be picking up some bread and maybe a cake/pie (or two) next visit. Super friendly and passionate employees.

Google
Best bakery. We will get pastries on Saturday mornings sometimes. Love the chocolate eclair, my personal favorite. But the muffins, tarts, croissants, cakes, cookies, creme brulee, and bread are always fresh and delicious. Come early, things do sell out as they are making more. The staff is patient and helpful. It's hard to make a decision sometimes. It's a little pricey, but worth every bite. Good for a treat. Love this place.

Google
Was craving some baked goods this morning, so I stopped in to see what I could find. Eden had the wonderful recommendations of the goat cheese pesto danish and zucchini muffin. I got both and they were outstanding and inexpensive.

Google
We tried something new and was looking for a new dessert spot. The service was great but I didn’t love the slices of cake I got. The chocolate was dry and the carrot cake was very dense.

Google
PROs: Oh my! This is the best bakery!! With a small gift shop. Great folks working here. The ladies were kind answering my questions. Wide variety of pastries and breads to choose from. Sweetness is just right, it's not overly sweet to the point of getting sick. CONs: No indoor seats. We purchased bunch of pastries but among them we quickly enjoyed the chocolate and carrot cake, it just melted in your mouth.

Google
Ravelin simply does not miss. Truly gourmet level of baked goods, from morning pastries to bread for your dinner, to baked gifts and coffee. And the people are always so lovely. I have no idea how they get up so early to bake and still are so kind to customers. Very fortunate to have them in our town.

Yelp
A lot can change in 7 years... add this review to this list!! Over the years we have tried many bakeries across the DFW area, and Ravelin is by far the best bakery in DFW as far as consistency, quality, and price. 7 years ago I complained about the pricing of some of their items - through the years and into 2025, pricing has not changed - a true testament of how well Ravelin knows not only their business, but also their customer base. I would like to extend and apology to the Ravelin ownership for my snootiness in my previous review! All that said - if you are looking for quality baked goods, Ravelin is the best place to go to in DFW. Go early if you are looking for bread, because they sell out quick!

Yelp
What a wonderful euro style bakery. The bread is simply amazing! They have so many kinds good luck finding your fav. And the desserts are truly the icing on the cake. You can't go wrong visiting this bakery!

Yelp
Loved everything I bought which was a bunch of cookies, cream puffs, and a pain au chocolate. Everything was absolutely delicious. This will definitely be a staple place.

Yelp
Cute little bakery! I got a banana loaf and it was really good! The chocolate chip cookies are pretty good too! Definitely a cute spot to go to for a little baked good

Yelp
The aroma when you walk in is so lovely. My first time to the shop and right away I am greeted with smiles and a kind greeting. The person who waited on me is so patient and thoughtful. I got a few cookies, a lemon, ginger, scone, and a pastry with cinnamon and pecan. I've tried a few of the items and the ingredients taste so amazing. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Easily the best proper bakery you can find in Denton. The raspberry butter cake was delicious! The only complaint I have was the cake itself was kinda dry. The fruit swirl and frosting on top were the real workhorse of the meal. The oat my gosh oatmeal creme pies are to die for! Nothing beats a freshly made from scratch cookie and creme filling! The cream had a touch of lemon that was subtle but delightful in its presence The oatmeal was hearty in flavor, but chewy soft for its cookie interior. The butter cookies are good, but they arent exploding with flavor compared to the other items I tried. These would go great with tea or coffee though.

Yelp
Croissant was pretty good, deserts were meh for the price. The bakery by Ingles and Linnybird Cupcakes in Lake Dallas both have better deserts. The baguette was very good but for $8, it wasn't really better than the one I got at Kroger yesterday for $2.99.

Yelp
Great bakery. Great customer service. Highly recommend. Bought pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Extremely satisfied.

Yelp
Everything delicious. Croissants, baguettes, sourdough, biscotti, everything. Oh, and the breakfast loaf and bread.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years for delectables. They are always friendly folks. I like to eat at least one treat before leaving the parking lot.

Yelp
Been looking for a local shop with good original crossant and I think I found it. I picked up two original and a chocolate and it was delicious with the crunch and flakes flying around. The staff is also very nice and pricing is fair for the freshness.

Yelp
Ravelin Bakery is as awesome as always! The most welcoming and helpful staff, and the best pastries! Everything was just right and delicious!

Yelp
Every time I visit Denton I make sure to stop by here. Someone told me about it years ago when I was in collage, but they waited until I was about to graduate so I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I could have. There baked goods are always delicious and fresh. Definitely a must try.

Yelp
Amazing bread, cookies and cake. Service outstanding, great group of people working there. Best bread for miles around!

Kimberly B.

Yelp
Everything is fresh and delicious. Being able to get the 1/2 loaf of white chocolate lemon bread is great for one or two people. The staff that has helped me- and I've been here many times- is always pleasant and so helpful.

Yelp
Amazing bakery. Such a wonderful variety of fresh baked goodies. Croissants and various pastries are crispy and delicious. Crème puff is a personal favorite. Their breads are top notch. Best bakery I've been to in Texas.

Yelp
Best bakery in town, hands down; get there as early as you can manage to on the weekends for the best baked goods you have ever eaten! Try the pastries here for a rare treat or drop by sometime for a quick cake option for a party when Kroger just won't suffice.

Yelp
I use to like this place, but then a male came up to me from the preparation side of the bakery, just when I was going to order and told me "We don't allow dogs in here." Mind you, I was holding my 2 lb. teacup chihuahua in my right arm. Nowhere do they have a sign posted up about dogs. I don't think it mattered that I have spent over $468.09 in the past 3 months at this place. (According to my bank statements.) It is too bad that this place doesn't put any kind of signs for dog owners, yet refuse to serve you if you have a dog with you. What is the bid deal? My dog is an emotional support dog. I have experienced 2 deaths within a week time span, and this business refused to allow me to spend my money there because I have a 2lb chihuahua in my arm? If he was so concerned with "hair", no one there wears a hair net. The desserts here are "ok", but the sourdough is far too hard and turns into a rock after 1 day. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Yelp
My hometown is Marietta, Ohio, near Amish country. We live in Denton. Ravelin Bakery is a wonderful bakery and has so many fresh, delicious selections to make any meal complete!

Yelp
This is my second time in this fantastic and fun little bakery! The first go around was all pastry's... no pictures sadly... but trust when I say D-VINE! I've now had almost all of the cookies, which melt in your mouth while retaining the snap they need to have! The flavors, the texture, the SMELL EVEN... 10 out of 10 on these little, yet very hearty, delights! Every time you walk in, no matter how big the line may be (oh, don't worry, these humans keep the line moving with speed, suggestions, and a smile), you're greeted warmly by the staff and, whom I can only assume is the owner, in the kitchen just working hisself as hard as can be! They are always happy to give a personal favorite recommendation, inform you on the ingredients, and assist with anything you might ask... A++ and a gold star for being amazing! Though it's a tight space, they have it organized just right to not feel overwhelmed when the people flow in to get their fresh goodies! The only thing I could see as an improvement would be an upgrade to the cold drink cooler. It's a small standalone off to the side and I think they could benefit from a double with one side completely focused on coffee selections... otherwise what you would expect from a delicious bakery! My recommendation is to get there early... I will NOT save your spot in line if they're running out of the local favorites... but I may just buy you one if you're a good Human!!!

Yelp
This place is so nice and thankfully, well priced. My favorite snacks here are the fruit danish, especially with fresh cherries. The crème brûlée is another I have to get each time, and my spouse makes me get my own now because they don't want to share it it's just too good. I usually like the lemon bars a lot, but this last time 09/15 they were really dry, thin, and firm. it tasted burnt and rubbery )): so maybe avoid those for now, but hopefully that was just an off bunch. For a scratch bakery I understand, sometimes my own recipes don't always come out the same and that's just baking for ya. I like the texture of the spinach and feta croissants, it is well-cooked and just right. They have a microwave so that you can heat your goods as you please before you leave the store, as there is a self-service area. Here you will also find napkins, and a coffee machine. In one of the display cases, they have cookies, brownies, croissants, macaroons, thumbprint/jam cookies, chocolate shortbread, and all types of good stuff. In the other, they have irresistibles. The crème brûlée, cheese cake slices, pies and pie slices, cakes, tarts, the whole nine-yards. Finally, they also have fresh baked breads and baguettes of all types, such as Bavarian Rye and sourdoughs. Seriously worth checking out, folks!!

Yelp
Friendly and helpful staff if you have any questions. The Nutella crisps are AMAZING. They said it's the first time they've made them and it's absolutely incredible. It's super light and fluffy with lots of buttery goodness. We ate one in the car and immediately went back in to buy more. Key lime pie is delicious!! The creme brûlée's flavor is very good, only downside was the too sugary part wasn't hard at all. The Russian tea cookies weren't my favorite. They were dry and I struggled to get them down. The chocolate croissant was alright, but the pinwheel cookie was great. The French bread has a really fluffy texture inside and the outside is a bit tough, but still great. Ordering is a bit chaotic since there's no signs or a form of a line. People just walk in and then walk around the display cases so there's no track of who is ready to order or who was next.

Yelp
Awesome local bakery. Great service even greater pastries! They make everything fresh daily. Prices are low compared to others (chain bakeries)

Faro R.

Yelp
Fantastic! A solid selection of European style pastries, desserts, and breads. Among the breads, there are daily standards (Baguette, Country Sourdough, Epi, French Loaf) and rotating special selections. The French Loaf was perfect--overall crisp exterior with some heavier-encrusted edges, and a deliciously soft, light crumb interior. The desserts were as capably done: you won't go wrong, here. Wonderfully attentive service, happy to answer questions and explain things. Superb.

Rico D.

Yelp
I've been going here for years even though I don't live very close. I've never had anything here that I didn't like. Great bread, fantastic pastries, cookies and desserts. And I always get a few ham and cheese croissants to eat for later. I usually end up eating most of the stuff on the way home in my car. Service always friendly. Clean. Not the cheapest bakery but definitely worth it.

Yelp
We love this bakery. It has everything you could want from sweet to savory. Small slice to a full pie/ cake. Want fresh baked bread, buy it here! Give them a try, we need to support these small town gems!
google avatar

Katherine V.

Yelp
I love this bakery so much. The people are friendly, patient if you are struggling with what to get, and patient if you have questions. The food is so good. Fresh baked every day with daily and seasonal specials. It's always a pleasure to stop by and I've never had anything I didn't like. I've made it my mission to try as much as I can, too. They also have some merch and a local potter who sells small pieces and jewelry, which is nice. There is no place to sit and eat, just as a heads up. It's a pick up and go kind of place, but if you're in the area and don't swing by to get something, you're missing out.
google avatar

Kimberly W.

Yelp
I went in for my mother in law to grab a few loaves of jalapeño cheddar bread, only available on Wed. Wow! This place is divine! All sorts of pastries, pies, muffins and a rotating menu of daily breads. Great for gifts. Seriously who wants another candle? Bring your friend a loaf of fresh bread. They will love you and remember that treat. Definitely popping in every time I pass by.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious cookies and the best cheese danish I've ever had! I also picked up a few pairs of earrings that are the perfect addition to my everyday wear.

Yelp
I love the ham and cheese croissant it's definitely my favorite. The staff is welcoming, and it's a nice small business to support. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Pecan pie is amazing not overly sweet, was perfect. The lemon bars are amazing. Every bread we have had is amazing, delicious and light.

Yelp
Awesome bakery and such great food! Everyone was great and nice and even though there was a line, the service was fast!
google avatar

Sunny K.

Yelp
I spent I appreciate the most about this bakery is the value. Even though the baked goods and desserts are low in price, they still taste good. I can spend seven or eight dollars and leave with a bunch of treats. At other bakeries I spent seven or eight dollars and leave with one or two items LOL. I really like the carrot cake, the creme brulee, and the shortbread cookies. I also tried this pumpkin dessert that was sooooo yummy. I believe it is seasonal so I would go there asap before they get rid of it. The only reason they didn't get five stars is due to the setting/ambience and a lack of variety when it comes to cakes. I think I've only seen two kinds of cakes. They should have more because the one I tasted is so good. When it comes to the setting I can't quite put my finger on it but something is missing. Outside of those two elements the bakery is great. You should go!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious everything. My family enjoys my random picks of pastries! Everyone is nice. Oh, they also have wonderful pies....

Yelp
The best jalapeño cheddar bread and allllll the croissants! You can't go wrong when it comes to Ravelin. Prime location right off the Denton Square, the kindest staff and owners you'll ever meet, and I love the layout of the bakery itself! Favorite desserts include the chocolate cake and buttermilk pie, you won't be sorry you stopped for a treat!

Yelp
Best bakery in North Texas! Love their sourdough bread and the specialty bakery items. Their apple pie is to die for!

Yelp
Have you ever woken up craving something and you can't shake that thought all day? My only experience with Ravelin Bakery until recently was one of those days. I had woken up with the need for almond cookies. The buttery kind you can only get at the best Chinese restaurants, the kind that wouldn't be available for hours. I had stalked around until I stumbled across Ravelin. This was a couple of years ago and they did not have what I was after. Being me, I grabbed an alternative sweet treat, but only recall that I wasn't impressed. I hadn't been back until recently when I had missed lunch and was looking for a snack, but nothing too heavy so close to dinner. I came by about an hour before they closed on a Thursday. The place has a lot of open space and a wide selection of sweets ranging from cakes to pies to cookies to muffins and more. I was actually quite impressed that the selection was so huge so late in the day, that's a big plus. The prices on the cakes and pies seemed pretty high to me, at least for the portion, but I found the prices of the cookies and muffins to be very reasonable. They had a selection of filled, savory croissants that were half reasonable and half expensive. I thought the offering itself was really cool though. After a ridiculous amount of hemming and hawing and staring and walking around both sides of the bakery display (multiple times), I finally decided on a Ham and Cheddar Croissant for $3.40 and a mocha cookie for 55 cents. Molly was the person who greeted me when I arrived and patiently waited on me to decide. She was very sweet and upbeat. She also directed me to the microwave by their door and suggested I heat up the croissant for 20 seconds. So helpful! While at the microwave I saw they have samples of some of their items in different flavors, I think there were three. Another plus, I like free sweets! Since there are no tables, only two benches, I took my haul on the go. I found the cookie to have a very unpleasant texture and the taste of mocha was really light and hard to discern. I was disappointed in the cookie... I mean not too disappointed, it was only 55 cents. The croissant on the other hand was wonderful! It was very large and the filling of ham and cheddar was very generous. That croissant was nearly perfect in flaky texture and buttery taste, very satisfactory! I saw some real promise here so that Saturday morning I stopped by with my husband to get some sustenance while we were running around to appointments. They had three samples of muffins and pastries again, all different flavors- awesome! Molly was there again and gave exceptional service to us and the many customers milling in and out. She was very efficient and had a very sunny disposition. She is definitely an asset to this bakery. We each got a croissant and I also got a shortbread cookies. My husband went with Ham and Swiss, also $3.40. I was feeling adventurous and went with a recommendation getting the Chicken Sausage and Spinach Asagio. This was $1.15 more than the other croissants and a total miss. Not only was the croissant unevenly filled, the texture was completely off! The sausage was gritty, ick, and the croissant was so hard I can only describe it as stabby (yeah, I know that's not actually a word). I was flabbergasted at the huge inconsistency between the croissants, I could not finish it and my garbage disposal of a husband was not interested. The shortbread consistency wasn't what I was expecting, it was very dry and tasted like lemon. So let's recap. 2 out of 3 croissants were reasonably priced and very pleasant while the other was awful and overpriced. Neither of the sweets impressed and my last visit for sweets didn't either. This bums me out because Molly gave such outstanding service that I really want to be able to rate them higher for the pleasant experiences... I just can't right now, my taste buds won't let me. I will give them a try again because both ham croissants were really great and we will stop in occasionally for those. I will most likely try another sugary confection, but I hope the consistency improves, I don't like being disappointed by anything dessert related.

Yelp
100% the best bakery in town. In North Texas honestly. I love this place! We get pastries as a treat for the office every now and then. We love it here! Always a fan favorite!

Kelly C.

Yelp
I got a key lime pie and a chocolate cream pie for a birthday celebration and was blown away. These were the best pies I've ever eaten!

Yelp
Beautiful bakery! This place offers a great array of sweet goods through their counters. I got the creme burlee, a raspberry lemon cookie, and a chocolate croissant. The creme burlee was top notch great consistency and flavor. The raspberry lemon cookie was a simple cookie that packed a lot of flavor, the chocolate croissant was as expected. Should define check out this bakery if you're in the area!

Yelp
Everything we have ever bought here is amazing! My favorites are there house made breads mead fresh daily (lemon white chocolate bread is my favorite) you will not be disappointed

Yelp
Best bakery in Denton by far! I especially love the delicate cookies -- not too sweet.

Yelp
If you want a bakery, and are in the area of Denton, this place is Uh-May-ZING! Look at my other reviews. There aren't many 5 stars among them, because there's almost always something that knocks a place out of the running for that, whether restaurant or other types of businesses. There are other places in town to buy a basic cake or some basic cookies, some good places really. If you want to buy bread that will make your mouth cry out in joy, pastries that will make atheists question their disbelief in a god, and cakes that are not only delicious, but beautiful, then you need to head to Ravelin. It's that good. I've eaten in many countries, and sampled sweets and pastries everywhere I've been. Ravelin is staffed by people who, quite simply, Know. What. They're. Doing. If you don't believe me, then go there, park, and walk in the door. Step off to one side, close your eyes, count to three, and take a slow deep breath in through your nose. You should be able to find scents from all manner of baked items. Then, open your eyes and make your way around the small interior, looking at what they have, making sure to end your brief tour at the display case in the front. If you start at the display case, you might be so overawed that you forget to look at anything else. Trust me. They are THAT good!

Shawn R.

Yelp
Best bakery in DFW! Better croissants than in Paris. Recommended the sourdough loaf!

Yelp
I love this place. I stop here way too often and end up buying way more than I can eat because EVERYTHING looks so good. The plan is to use them to cater an upcoming event and have had great communication with the owner as to what to serve and how best to stay within our budget. This is the best local bakery I know of and am glad to recommend to anyone that comes to Denton (or lives in Denton). This is one of my favorite local businesses.

Yelp
I bought a delicious chocolate cake from here, the staff were very kind and helpful and I enjoyed the food greatly. I would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
In Denton for work and stopped in out of curiosity ... love to visit bakeries. This one is worth a stop for sure. Enjoyed my Pecan Stick ( the Sticky Buns go fast so I missed out there), a slice of Buttermilk pie, and a wonderful European inspired baguette ( it was perfect). Great selection of goods and obviously they put great care into the ingredients and the baking. Counter helper was cordial and genuinely seemed proud to be working there. John

Yelp
everything here is amazing. from their breads to their sweets. I feel like I am in heaven when I go there.
