The Ravinia stations is definitely a blast from the past of heavy railroad usage. The building has been very well preserved and restored. The only issue I had was, as a tourist, there was very little information regarding the process of obtaining tickets. I was initially unaware of how to purchase tickets, and there was no information I could find in the unmanned station providing instructions. However, I was able to get them through my phone, so it was all good. Long story short, if you don't already have tickets, board the train and they can be purchased through the conductor. I am unsure of the payment methods available, as I had downloaded the Ventra app and purchased with a credit card.

This is the station my grandparents would take my brother and I from to Downtown Chicago to see the Christmas decorations at Marshall Fields. The last time I was back to Highland Park my dad and I sat on a bench outside the station and watched the trains go back and forth for over an hour.
