Ravintola Piemonte

It was our first night in Tampere. We decided to try this place and it was a wonderful choice. I made couple of videos of a chef working on the dishes. He loves adding truffle mushrooms to his creations . I had risotto and it was great. Highly recommend! They have a bar as well. We had limoncello sprits and it was very refreshing .

For so long time i was waiting vitello tonnato in the menu and finally! I’m happy ! Everything is good! Cozy and warm! Recommend!

Overall, a good Italian restaurant, not mindblowing but fine, with original dishes.

We had the menu and it was okayish, risotto had a lot of pepper and it was very moist or even liquid. Waiter had troubles explaining and pooring the wines for us and was not able to recommend which wine would match our food. Pannacotta dessert was excellent though.

I went there for lunch and got the lunch deal and a drink. The drink was great but the pasta unfortunately left a lot to be desired. First of all, I think it's presented in the wrong plate, like a long salad plate instead of a deeper plate. The sauce was very very watery and not mixing with the pasta at all, staying all at the bottom (I had to use the spoon I accidentally had from the starting soup to not waste it). The fork was tiny and made it very hard to eat the pasta, in combination with the watery sauce and the large plate, resulted in splashes everywhere. The sauce also lacked salt and felt like it could have easily been much better by adding some other ingredient, though I guess this last one is subjective.

Main course; first time the duck was cold and chewy, then they brought new portions for us, and then the potatoes were raw in the middle. Compensation-20% which was for the Antipasto plate, which I think was not enough.. Also the waitress said that the potatoes comes to them as rebaked, which leaves a lot of questions..............

Good italian food, a bit salty. Many wines and grappas as well as beers.

How quickly the mighty fall! Having dined here on multiple occasions, the last time was the LAST TIME! Understaffed! That's all I can say. They tried hard, but totally failed to provide the dining experience that we have had on previous occasions. The owners (who now own another 2 restaurants) seem not to care. Letting one chef and one waitress to fend for themselves in a half full restaurant. We could not wait to get out of there. Our before dinner drinks arrived AFTER our starters! The wine list, which is the WHOLE centerpiece for this restaurant, is huge..But ask for a wine on it, and you are told either that they cannot find it, or it is somewhere in the back of the cellar and 'please choose something else'. Incredible! Either the shorthanded staff do not have the time to go get a particular wine or they cannot be bothered. The biggest shame of all of this, the food is excellent! The major problem is that the timing is completely off. Rather than experiencing a great night out, with atmosphere, you are left looking over your shoulder for the next course. It would have been OK if they kept us all happy with drinks in a timely manner, but this was lacking too. So you are left to sit there sipping luke warm water instead. Sad.

Let's set the record straight. Not sure how things were 3-4 years ago, the most recent post to date was 2013, but for the record, Piemonte is second to none for a stellar dining experience. The menu is basically one page, focused on seasonal ingredients, nice variety, with a nice wine selection for very knowledgeable pairings. Thankfully I was recommended by a work colleague, because uncharacteristically, Yelpers had it wrong on this one. Hopefully others will help to set the record straight.

Food, drinks and service at Piemonte were excellent. Our food was carefully prepared. It took a while...but the meal was delicious. The waitress was very helpful and suggested excellent wine pairings.
