We weren’t staying at the hotel, but we decided to stop by for lunch after a whale and dolphin watching adventure. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our Dana Point getaway! This spot has officially earned a place on my list of all-time favorites. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and unlike many restaurants with gorgeous scenery, the food here is just as impressive. The hotel where it’s located is beautiful, and it was nice to take a peak. Even the restrooms are super pretty. Now, let’s talk about the food: the grilled octopus and the corn and hominy chowder were absolute standouts. The octopus was perfectly tender and bursting with flavor—one of the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve been enjoying octopus since I was a child. As for the chowder, it was easily one of the best soups of my life. As a seafood enthusiast who grew up on fresh catches, I was blown away by the rich combination of flavors. The soup was packed with generous chunks of crab, complemented by corn, bacon, roe, and a subtle kick from serrano. It was an unforgettable dish. To top it all off, the staff surprised me with a complimentary cake and candle to celebrate my birthday. I don’t even remember mentioning it in my Open Table reservation, but that thoughtful touch truly made my day. Overall, this was an exceptional experience from start to finish and can’t wait to return and relieve it all over again!

Amazing ambience and food. The view is spectacular. I would highly recommend coming here for lunch. Don't worry about the food, it is immaculate. Just bring your appetite. After your lunch take a walk by the beach, it is one that you must do.

Great place with great value! Very very friendly staff here, my wife and I came for our anniversary and god knows how every staff we ran into managed to stop by our table and say “happy anniversary” to us, really pleased with their service! Food is good enough in my opinion, not top tier Michelins 3 Star level of good but good enough, especially with their pricing, value definitely exceeds the price. I especially like their shrimp and lobster chowder, the shrimp is a must order, and the lobster chowder is really amazing with a unique take of tomato/butter base. Views are amazing ocean views. I been to the OC Nobu a couple of times and if I’m to recommend, Raya before Nobu. Oh yea they gave us a cake to congratulate our anniversary, again kudos to their service!

Our Bar Server Hue was simply AMAZING!!! He made us a Great Tequila Espresso martini, followed by a Reposado tequila lemon drop martini 🍸. It was literally the best I’ve ever had. Thank you Ritz for raising my bar.

Lovely Atmosphere , the service is great. The waiters and the staffs are extremely polite, sweet and attending. They go above and beyond making sure you are taken care of. I had the best experience here. The food is top notch the view is breathtaking. Overall everything was phenomenal.

I celebrated my birthday here at the Ritz Carlton, the views were INCREDIBLE. Customer service was 10/10, food was good, drinks were also great!

Definitely come here for the views! Expensive but worth the atmosphere. Service was Ritz standard but food was really quite average. They know they can get away with it! Would recommend coming here once for the experience!!

The restaurant offers a fantastic view of the ocean. The service is super polite and attentive. Our breakfast was delicious, and the dishes were served promptly. Many thanks to the staff, especially Joel and Kody, who took care of us so well.

Yelp
Always great service. View is very special. Food is fantastic. This is the 3rd time we have eaten here and each time has been a wonderful experience. I saw a few reviews complaining and comparing the service and the food. Silly. They have amazing cocktails and a great selection of gluten free options. A+ (again)

Yelp
We have been coming here for years, the baptism reception of our child was even held here years ago. We stayed at the resort over the holidays. Of course we had to eat here at least 2x. For Breakfast & Dinner. For breakfast we both had a burrito, which was great. They've changed their menu over the years, I was saddened that they removed our favorite lobster tacos and Creme Caramel from their menu. I recall that we would even order from their menu each time we went to 180Bleau because the lobster tacos were so good! Anyways, this time around, we ordered Cheese Rolls and Guacamole for appetizers. Cheese rolls were really good, the guacamole was good too but the large chips/flat bread for dipping were kinda burnt. For our main course, we ordered sea scallops and seafood enchiladas. They were both very good! I asked to remove the pork belly from my dish and instead just have purely scallops and I'm glad I chose that route. The scallops were perfectly seasoned and seared. The creamed corn side was also amazing. It was a perfect combination. The desserts we tried their Peaches & Cream, Churros and another one I can't remember. The peaches and cream dessert was okay, the peaches were not sweet which took away from the experience. The churros were straight forward. Our friend had the other dessert, which I think he enjoyed but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was. The service at Raya is always top notch. Ambiance-unbeatable all the time, whether at breakfast or dinner (sunset is the best time to come) the ocean view always adds to the experience. We always will make it a point to visit Raya!

Yelp
Since we had checked into the Ritz-Carlton that day, we didn't want to really go anywhere off property. Plus we had a credit to use, so we just went downstairs to Raya after making a last minute reservation. Don't think we needed it with how many tables were available. First things first, the ambience here is pretty nice. The restaurant is located in a space next to windows overlooking the ocean. By the time we got here, it was pretty much dusk so we didn't see much. But we passed by it plenty of times during the day and it was a pretty majestic view. Aside from that, the ceilings were high and the tables were spaced out pretty well so it made for a very comfortable feeling. Menu isn't the biggest, but what we ordered was pretty good and much better than expectations. Ordered a Caesar Salad to start, which was actually really good. They brought out full leaves of romaine lettuce which was topped by heaps of cheese and actual anchovies (which is always a plus). Next up was the Tableside Wagyu Beef Tartare. I was confused as to the tableside aspect of it until they actually pulled up with a full cart to actually make the tartare in front of us. And the beef tartare was great! Really chunky with great flavor. Last main dish was the Brazino Zarandeado, which was deboned and cooked really well. Also ordered some truffle fries, because when you have an opportunity to get truffle fries you have to. Service here is great, no complaints at all. Overall, I had a good experience here. Price is obviously very marked up because it's in the RItz-Carlton. But also fairly comparable to prices that I see at L.A. restaurants.

Yelp
The views are absolutely incredible. This review is mostly about the food and service though. Though everyone there is as helpful as possible, they are incredibly understaffed so the one waitress or two aren't able to handle all the tables. The broccolini tasted burnt, the mushrooms were too salty, the scallops and pork belly were good but not enough to be filling. The ahi tuna tacos were not inspiring. My favorite dish was probably the Enchiladas - I'd come back for that! Overall, the cost was not worth it for most of the items. We're paying for the view though!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant within the Ritz with an amazing view. So glad we came here for a late lunch. Really wanted to sit by the window and after about 5mins wait for so, we were seated at a nice table against the window. The view is just breathtaking. We ordered a bunch of items to share with a few cocktails as my friends and I wanted to catch up. We were not rushed at all and allowed us to enjoy a beautiful spread of food. Our waiter and the staff were so attentive and provided top notch service to our table and the other around us. I will definitely come back. Note: paid valet parking only at the Ritz or you can park across the street and walk about 5mins in. It's $2 for 2 hours. Enough time to enjoy a nice lunch.

Yelp
Recently visited the restaurant located within the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel, perfectly timed to catch the sunset. As soon as we arrived, everyone was in awe of the breathtaking view. The combination of the sunset and the Christmas decorations created an enchanting atmosphere that was simply unforgettable. We started our meal with oysters and burrata, which were incredibly fresh and an excellent way to begin. The main courses, mariscos and steak, were cooked to perfection and very satisfying and the churros and flan for dessert were excellent. The only downside was that the octopus dish was a bit too salty for my taste, but overall, the experience was exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with stunning views and great food.

Yelp
I made an appointment with my friends for a dinner at RAYA. The restaurant is on the first floor of the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point. I have seen many people recommend RAYA's brunch and evening sea view. Most people come here for the beautiful view of the five-star hotel. I am the only one who is taking photos of the food seriously. Today I want to share the dinner menu with you. - The food here has been criticized by many people. So my expectations were very low. I don't know if this is a surprise. Except for the dessert at the end, which was a bit disappointing, I even think that every dish is pretty good.

Angela C.

Yelp
Service was the best, everyone on staff was attentive and a pleasure to interact with. Ambience was lovely. The food was mostly good but not worth $75 and oddly coffee is not included as part of the brunch so that cost extra: -Tlayudas: The guac was good and I really liked the crisps -Crab Avocado Toast: This is just the guac on bread but with some crab. It was a bit meagerly but tasted fine, nothing special. -Chicken & Waffles: This was hugely disappointing, way too much of some sort of peppered oil in the chicken and the waffles were thoroughly soggy drenched. -Strawberry hibiscus cheesecake: This was good but a bit too sweet for my preference. I would have given 4 stars except I discovered they taxed the service gratuity charge. I would've never noticed except I needed to calculate the break-out for my friends to reimburse me their portions and realized the total wasn't adding up. I don't have a problem with automatic gratuity but was shocked to discover the gratuity is taxed. I expected better from the Ritz.

Yelp
Top notch service and surroundings, from the complimentary valet parking to the hotel's interior common area décor, to the staff/service at Raya. Hue waited on us; however, we did interact with several staff members and the service was excellent from all. We stopped in on a Friday evening for some late-night cocktails and a snack before heading home and the bar was still hopping. We were presented with a beautiful tray of complimentary snacks (almonds, wasabi nuts, and mixed nuts) while we enjoyed a Frida y Diego Anejo Old Fashioned ($22) and a Tamarind Margarita ($22). Wanting a little more, we ordered a 5-piece Shrimp Cocktail ($21) and two more drinks, a Ritzy Smoked Old Fashioned ($28) and a Baja Coast Cosmo ($22). All drinks were very well made, and the shrimp were perfect. Yes, it's a little pricy, but the service and quality of the food and beverages are definitely worth splurging once in a while. We had a wonderful "date night" experience and will definitely stop in again.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a girls trip! You likely have to valet if you're not staying at the hotel. We had reservations but got there early so were able to walk around the patio and other balconies of the hotel while we waited. The food, drinks, and vibes were so lovely. The restaurant itself is right on the main hallway so you can see other guests going by as well. The view is impeccable though it was cloudy when we were there but would be stunning at sunset! The waiters were super knowledgeable and helpful with providing recommendations!

Yelp
I dont even know where to begin. It was definitely a Ritz Carlton Dining experience. Everything was top notch! I can't say one bad thing about the food. Salmon and Cod were cooked to perfection. Beef tartare was probably the best i had ever eaten. Wish we would have saved room for dessert. Service was impeccable. Everyone was very knowledgeable, informed, kind, and attentive. Food was out very quickly! Ambiance is that of a movie. It was the most romantic restaurant i have ever eaten at. The view is breathtaking. Although the shade had to be down because it was so bright

Yelp
Raya Restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel provided a mixed experience for me. The hostess was friendly and the waiter was excellent, providing great service throughout the meal. I ordered the eggs Benedict and found them to be outstanding, with a delicious hollandaise sauce and perfectly poached egg. The buttermilk pancakes were also a highlight, fluffy yet dense in texture. However, the French toast was a disappointment as it contained pecans and raisins that were not mentioned on the menu. The waiter kindly removed it from the bill when we sent it back. The pricing at Raya was reasonable considering the quality of the food. The ambiance was stunning, with amazing views of the ocean and vibrant fresh flowers on every table adding to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by a bizarre incident involving a food server tripping and spilling ketchup on me, ruining my dress and hair. I was shocked by the lackluster resolution offered by the server, who only provided a hot wet towel for cleaning and a simple apology. This response was not up to the standard I would expect from a restaurant at the Ritz Carlton, especially considering the inconvenience and damage caused to my attire. Overall, my visit to Raya Laguna Niguel was a mixed bag, with exceptional food and service overshadowed by a disappointing incident and lackluster resolution.

Yelp
Amazing food, views and dining experience at Raya. I went to celebrate my birthday and had such a great night. We ordered a few starters (including seared tuna tacos, and oysters), and I chose the Octopus small plate as my main. I was skeptical about the sauce they put on 1/2 the oysters as I'm such a fan of the traditional mignonette - but wow was it delicious!!! It was like a berry froth of some sort and oh my was it good! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
If the restaurant were anywhere else it does not get the full 5 stars. Given the outstanding views and location and 'good' food. It gets my full 5. We were staying there and ended up hosting my family (9 of us) for lunch at RAYA saturday after thanksgiving. Then had another couple over for dinner, so kind of held court there for a bit. The menu is good and there are selection for everyone including my vegan sister and pure carnivorous wife. We killed a few bottles of Grigch Hills Chardonnay and had some nice Veuve champagne. Wine list was in general very good and nice options for drinks in the bar. But really, you come here to gaze at the ocean though restaurant windows and to watch sunset from bar or better the beach down below (they have a shuttle cart if you don;t want do do the 1/4 mile hike ). Service was a bit slow at lunch, but again, i don;t think we cared. Just gave us more time to enjoy hte view. Pricey for sure, but , especially if you are staying there , or even near by, its difficult to find a better location to enjoy a California sunset dinner.

Yelp
I came here for the Sunday 4-Course $75 Brunch. There was an overcast that day so we didn't get to enjoy the view that I am sure would have been amazing to see while dining. I love how knowledgeable the waiter was. He also was kind enough to take our group pictures and made sure they came out nice. I injured my knee the day before and he was so kind to bring me a pack of ice for me to put on my bruises and swollen knee. As for food, there were hits and misses. For the first course, we had a guacamole and two different salsas with Oaxacan masa crisps. I thought it was ok. I wished it had a little more salt and flavor. I vaguely remember the taste of just avocado and some chili oil. For the second course, I opted for the ahi tuna tartar. This ahi tuna tartar was not what I was expected because it came in a broth, but I am not complaining. This was my favorite of the four courses. As for the third course, I went with chicken and waffle. This was my least favorite dish. My waffles were soggy and not hot and freshly made. It felt like I was eating waffles that have been sitting there for some time before being presented to me. The chicken had that similar chili garlic oil that I had for my first course. I appreciate the organic maple syrup in a tiny bottle that it's served with. I took leftover maple syrup home. With that said, the course did not work. The chicken with the chili garlic oil on top and waffle did not mesh well together. It is upsetting because this is supposed to be the main course. For the fourth course, I got the churros. Churros tasted amazing. Overall, I don't think this is worth $100 dollar (total I paid including tax and tip with tap water as my drink).

Yelp
We had a chance to eat at Raya two weekends ago to celebrate our besties's 20th wedding anniversary. It was our first time and was pleased with the food and the ambiance. They were a little short staffed so a little slow but it was okay coz it allowed us to enjoy our food and enjoy the views. I had the salmon (chef's kiss) and my hubs had the seafood enchilada. Please please try the amazing corn and hominy soup as well as the truffle fries. Soooo good.

Vuoch L.

Yelp
My GF treated me to a birthday lunch . 10/10 customer service all around , from the valet parking attendants, our waiter and the employees in the gift shop were spectacular. My salmon plate were divine, cooked perfectly moist, together with the red sauce was delicious. After lunch we decided to wander a bit to walk off what we consumed. The beach was the highlight of our day.

Evelyn C.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant with spectacular views! We came to eat here for brunch, lunch, and dinner during our stay and every meal was impeccable quality and service! Pricey of course, but you get what you pay for. I still think about the branzino and their pork belly for dinner! Their menu is substantial so you never have to order the same thing twice if you're staying at the resort and they have plenty of seating- especially by the windows!

Winnie L.

Yelp
This restaurant is located near the entrance of the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point. The views are spectacular when the weather is not overcast. The wait staff was very good and knowledgeable about the food. I went for the prix fixe brunch menu. It is $75 for 4 courses. The first course (chips and guacamole) was a shared course with the table. Then you could choose 2 entrees and a dessert. There were 5 options for each entree with a good mix of gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, etc. I opted for the avocado toast with crab meat, the fried chicken and waffles, and strawberry hibiscus cheesecake. The avocado toast was on a thick slice of whole grain toast that was quite chewy (like it was toasted and sat around for awhile) and the overall topping of avocado slices and crab was fairly bland. Several of us needed to put extra guac and sauce to make the dish more palatable. I was very disappointed in the chicken and waffles. The piece of boneless chicken was very small and it was burnt. You could see the black burnt pieces all over the edges. It came with these mini waffles topped with pickled onions and an apple compote. My other friends got a small bottle of maple syrup with their waffles but I did not. The dessert was relatively tasty and portion size was good. All in all, I was quite disappointed with the experience. I had expected better quality food from a Ritz Carlton as they are a highly respected hotel chain. I had paid $100 for lunch including tax and tip which is not chump change for most people. The hotel had taxed the gratuity as well! I have never seen that before. I will not be returning to dine here.

Yelp
Second time here at Raya. Such a phenomenal and exceptional experience from the moment we walked in to the time we finished our meal. Everyone here knows how to provide and treat customers with superior service. On top of that, the food is excellent and the view is just breathtaking. The service from Taylor and the whole staff was 10/10. Food was equally exceptional: Smoked Swordfish Dip - hubs requested a toast for him in addition to the chips, and Taylor gladly provided this. Raya Burger - excellent. That sauce was uber delicious. Sweet Potato Fries - very generous portion with sea salt sprinkled on top. We requested the house-made habanero honey mustard and Taylor also threw in a truffle aioli. Both very good. Look forward to coming back to watch the sunset one of these days.

Nathalie B.

Yelp
My experience at Raya at the Ritz was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The ambiance was top-notch, with a breathtaking view overlooking the ocean that added an extra layer of magic to our evening. Our servers, Samantha and Andrea, provided impeccable service throughout our meal. They were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Kudos to them for enhancing our dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food. It was simply phenomenal. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. Every bite was a delight, and it's evident that the chefs put great care and skill into crafting each dish. Overall, dining at Raya was an unforgettable experience, and my companions and I are already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a restaurant with amazing food, stunning views, and exceptional service, look no further than Raya at the Ritz. Highly recommended!

Kevin N.

Yelp
Raya is phenomenal, through and through. We chose to celebrate our anniversary here due to its oceanfront setting but the food, service, and overall atmosphere took our dinner to the next level. Protip, make sure to make reservations as the restaurant can get busy. Huge shoutout to Sam and the wait staff for making our experience so enjoyable. The restaurant is inside the Ritz Carlton Laguna which already makes it a luxurious spot. We opted to park across the street in the beach parking lot for $2 for two hours, but I understand there's valet available. As for the food, everything was a 10/10, though I'd probably pass on the Hamachi next time. At its pricepoint, you'd expect a firmer fish but perhaps we just let it sit in the sauce too long. Regardless, the other dishes left us feeling satisfied and filled. Pictured below we have the oysters, wagyu tartare, hamachi, seared salmon, and 7 oz filet.

Gina N.

Yelp
Delicious food and service. We came in with little expectations & left very impressed. Our waiter was very charming & made us feel very special. The food was unique and had tons of flavor. The ocean views were also amazing. We had the branzino and it was so delicious and the flavors were very unique. I would come back for this dish alone. Highly recommend!

Brian W.

Yelp
Raya is a beautiful date night restaurant located inside the Ritz-Carlton. This establishment is amazing as it offers beautiful ocean views. The service is always attentive and friendly, as they provided not only a rose to all of the tables and even a dessert for special occasions. The food was pretty good, with my favorite being the Corn Chowder and Guacamole. The Wagyu Beef Tartare was pretty good as well as they provided a tableside service where they mixed up the tartare in front of us. A quick note is that you will have to do valet parking or walk roughly half a mile from the street. Overall, I think Raya is an amazing dining experience with immaculate views.

Sherri C.

Yelp
Had a great dining experience thanks to Dean ! He greeted us with three pink roses, very nice touch to start with ! I recognized Dean instantly as I was on the opening team with him 40 years ago ! Dean helped us decide on our choices, we had the oysters to start then the steak tartare prepared table side ended with the scallops ! We really enjoyed the desserts as well , Thank you so much Dean , good to see you !! Almost forgot to mention the incredible view !!

Yelp
We had high hopes for our Christmas Eve dinner at Raya on Sunday, December 22nd, but unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations. From the start, things felt disorganized. The hostess seemed unsure of what she was doing and seated our party of four at a table with only two chairs. We stood awkwardly for several minutes before additional chairs were brought over. Our waitress then took an unreasonable amount of time to come to our table, and when she finally did, the service continued to disappoint. Drinks took an excessively long time to arrive, and we had to remind her that we had also ordered an appetizer. It felt like there was no attention to detail or urgency to provide a quality experience. To make matters worse, when we asked for the drink menu before ordering, she brought us only one menu for our table of four--and it was missing the cocktail section entirely! By that point, we decided to cut our losses and dine elsewhere. When we asked for the check for what little we had received, the waitress seemed confused and took even more time to bring it. What should have been a special evening turned into a frustrating ordeal. We expected much better from a place with Raya's reputation and will not be returning.

Yelp
This was unquestionably the worst "high end" meal that I've ever experienced. Our misadventure began with the absolutely awful service. Our table placement was poor, despite a reservation requesting a window table (there were at least 2 available window tables when we were seated). Our server was completely inattentive and mostly absent (I had to leave our table and search for him on multiple occasions so that our table could be provided with the "little things" like napkins). We actually wondered if his shift had ended and he went home during our meal. ‍‍‍ Unfortunately things only worsened once our "food" arrived. My wife cut into her steak and was immediately motivated to ask, "Is this thing still mooing?" Apparently "medium" means "a heartbeat might still be detectable" at establishments such as this one. The good news is that her steak featured copious sections of useless fat and offered lower "steak" quality than a fast food hamburger. The additional good news is that our entrees were served so quickly that questions about them being undercooked immediately surfaced. Those hypotheses gained momentum before the meal ended because I found myself in the restroom ridding my body of the overpriced (and deeply disappointing) meal I was in the process of consuming. The only photo I've included in this review is of the napkin that contains the chunk of gristle from my wife's steak that I was simply unable to swallow. Although I've enjoyed many wonderful meals here in the past, this has become a place to strictly avoid when seeking to share a special meal. And that's...Henry's Take. #restaurantstoavoid

Yelp

Yelp
Wow service was amazing! I loved my salmon with corn puree and my husband got the 7oz prime filet. Both were delicious! We got the churro dessert which was so tasty and the coffee was delicious as well! Connor and Noe made the night!! So courteous and friendly!! Definitely enjoyed our experience a big huge thanks to them!! We had a wonderful weekend! Definitely would return!!

Yelp
Great brunch spot at the Ritz Carlton. It was nice to come in and visit this hotel as a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member. Very beautiful property and unfortunately San Diego wasn't a great weather day. We got a window seat and were impressed by the service. If you're looking for an intimate experience with a loved one, highly recommend making this trek! Our server was Taylor and he was awesome! Ordered the Breakfadt burrito - epic! French toast was delish as well. Would love to come back!

Tiffany N.

Yelp
The view here is spectacular. The food is good. The appetizers are great. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers. The price is pretty reasonable considering this is the Ritz. Dean served us for the evening. He's great. Very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend coming here before 6 pm to catch the sunset.

Devoney A.

Yelp
Chose to have our 1 year wedding anniversary at Raya because of the views mostly and the location! What we didn't expect was 5 stars for great service along with our server making our anniversary very special and making great food recommendations, very tasty and good food for the price, and a special celebration cake at the end! The entire experience with the sunset and dinner was enough to want to come back

Yelp
Eat here and ask for Chris (red hair) to be your server. We were going to stop at Nobu on our way back to LA & I'm so happy we didn't. I might be considered a food snob and I had to leave a review b/c I had such an incredible experience. And while I would say the overall experience at the Ritz here is very Mid, this meal was a saving grace to my weekend. First let's start with Chris, was the best server I've had the pleasure of encountering in years. Exceptionally kind, warm and incredibly knowledgeable of the menu. He made the BEST suggestions, I can keep going. My best advice to the hotel would be to make him the manager of the entire place b/c you guys need help. Next, the food. Omg, chefs kiss, Smoked swordfish dip, hamachi (better than Nobu) , salmon was Phenomenal!!! Octopus it was all fantastic!! A perfect meal. Big thanks to Chris and the Chef!

Caroline G.

Yelp
I ordered the Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc and the grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich was delicious though I would recommend cutting those platano thin and frying them to make them more manageable on the sandwich and apply a bit of crunch. They fell off of my sandwich because the weight was a little too much for it. The wine was delicious as always. The service was spot on; my waiter was friendly and attentive. But the real reason for this place is the VIEW. I've only seen only other better view at a restaurant in my life at the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. Simply put, it's incredible.

Yelp
They offer a garden menu for vegetarians! Basically everything that they have vegetarian pulled from their main menu onto one page. Got the Brussels sprouts which were fire!!! So good. Sweet and salty with a crunch. I also got the mole verde as a main which was a little uninspiring and bland. The charred zucchini was super flavorful but there wasn't much of it. Ingredients were super fresh, avocado perfectly right but the flavor was missing a bit. It was very light and a little sour but maybe not enough salt? But the service was really great. Though we made a reservation, we opted to wait an additional half an hour for a window table to open up and I'm so glad we did. The view was stunning! Hubby and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here and our server even brought out a complimentary dessert for us!

Yelp
We had breakfast at Raya for four mornings during our stay at the Ritz-Carlton. The food was delicious, the servers were warm and friendly, and the view is fantastic.

Yelp
Having a great meal with amazing service with an ocean view and beautiful ambiance of the restaurant was such a delight! We went with the $95 brunch on Sunday for my friend's birthday, we love everything we ordered. The taste of the foods and presentations were so nice! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable place and delicious food.

Yelp
This review is about Raya's Sunday brunch. They provide prefix menu, $75 per person, which heavily influenced by Mexican cuisine. Items we ordered all were very well prepared. Guacamole was fresh and served with authentic tortillas. That was a very delightful dish. Tuna tatar with soy ginger and Japanese chili was very unique tasting and served with yellow and blue tortillas. Egg Benedict looked very standard. I was asking our server if I can order something off the menu. After checking with kitchen they gladly honored my request and making the best cheeseburger I have had lately. thank you guys. there is a live music during Sunday brunch which provide excellent ambiance. Raya has beautiful Pacific ocean view. during day or sunset it is delightful having a table by the window. service was attentive. I'll be back.

Yelp
Had brunch at Raya's and the first thing I notice when you walk into Raya is the beautiful ocean views. The food wasn't the best but wasn't the worst. The crab avocado toast, I felt it would have been a lot better if the bread were toasted, it needed that added texture. the lobster roll had a little too much mayo, besides that it was tasty. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. overall, I would go back again for brunch.

Yelp
The view from this restaurant is divine! We booked a 7:30pm reservation and had a great view. It would've been nice to be seated by the window, but it was still easy enough to walk over for a glance. We took a stroll outside after our meal and enjoyed the sunset more. The food was amazing! Mexican fusion fine-dining. I ate two starters - grilled octopus dish and birria steamed clams and it made for a great portion of food. The clams came with a small loaf of grilled bread. The flavors of everything was delicious and well-pronounced. Birria wasn't too salty and added a great flavor when you ate the clam with a little red onion on top. Then used the clam to drink a bit of the broth. The grilled octopus had a great chew and cool on it. It had small bites of potatoes in the creamy, spice sauce. Lastly, the lobster and crabs enchiladas were cooked perfectly with a but of crisp on the ends and filled with seafood. My gf ate it all in one sitting. We also ordered cucumber margarita and passionfruit mojito. Both felt fresh but well-balanced with alcohol. Great compliment to our food. Overall, really enjoyed our meal here. Worth a bit of a splurge during our Cali vacation. Tip: Park in the parking lot across the hotel entrance and walk over, save some money on Valet.

Yelp
Food was amazing, service (our server was Samantha) was the best! They were decorated for Christmas and it was so cute! We tried the cauliflower, the rolls, hamachi was my favorite, and was brought dessert for my birthday! Would definitely come back!

Yelp
If you want a delicious, elegant meal with a gorgeous view, this is where you want to be. Was lucky enough to go right at 5 when they opened so we got the most amazing seat with a huge view of the ocean. The holiday decorations made the seating area so much more fun and festive. The cocktail list wasn't extensive but had a little something for everyone. Started with a Brut Rose and an old fashioned. We had to try the Croquetas. The sound delicious and they definitely delivered on flavors. Then we got the Chipotle White Bean soup that came with these decadent little savory masa dumplings, it was perfect for a cold night. We finished with Roasted Romanesco Cauliflower. It was cooked perfectly and the cashew nut purée mixed with the chimichurri, was absolutely a heavenly combination and I wanted to dip everything in it. Service was outstanding and overall it was a great place to grab a bite and a drink, even if you're not staying at the hotel.

Yelp
Moving this down to a one star. My wife got food poisoning, throwing up after the meal. What a disaster. ### My wife took me here for what was meant to be a nice birthday dinner, it turned out to be super disappointing. Though the view is fantastic, everything else fell flat, particularly the service which was practically non-existent. It took more than an hour and half to get our food with no check-ins. I will say that the staff seemed genuinely apologetic, embarrassed, and did everything they could to try to make it right (even comping the meal). However, even recognizing some times things just don't go right some days there's no way I could recommend this place. I'm local (less than a mile away) and I guarantee there are plenty of other nearby options that offer both better food and a better experience. It's too bad.

Yelp
The views are literally to die for. All the dishes we got were beautifully created and tasted perfect. Only the octopus was a little overcooked and rubbery. But we still ate it all bc it tasted so amazing. It is the Ritz, you're paying insane resort fees and valet fees for breathing the air here. Happy overall with the food here . Loved the bartenders here but I've had better cocktails elsewhere for the price. I've never had a $35 old fashion without a clear ice cube! Or at least a large ice cube . We went other places to drink but the views and coming here for the food and experience was everything for us. Our waiter was awesome too and we got an anniversary dessert!

Yelp
Fantastic! This restaurant made my stay at the Ritz even better. I ate here twice. Once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times were terrific. Highly recommend daylight eating because the view is amazing. They're really good about trying to accommodate window seating. We came here for our wedding anniversary and were treated so well. They really made it special. I'm obsessed with the aguacaliente seafood dish. I got it both times. So delicious. Also stand outs are the lobster roll for lunch and the crab enchiladas for dinner. Ambiance is chill and quiet and servers and everyone from the host to the other staff are polite and attentive. Truly a wonderful experience. Thank you!

Yelp
Like the view of the ocean, food was good. Service compared to before are down, we have to call few times to get what we need, is disappoint our guests.

Yelp
We started with drinks outside, very nice and our server was great. Moved inside and had a nice window table, but the server gave us some attitude because she couldn't get one of our drinks (which we had just ordered outside) right. This could easily have been 5 stars had the server/service been consistent throughout, but there were some hiccups. The food was very good though, and the view was wonderful. It is expensive, as expected.

Yelp
Raya has always been one of my favorite Seaside restaurants. The view is always spectacular and the food is delicious. Holidays are very special at the Ritz Carlton . However ... this year for spring for Easter, and for Mother's Day, they went above and beyond on their gorgeous decorations there are beautiful flowers, everywhere, pinks all shades of pinks it is absolutely gorgeous I highly recommend you go and spend a little time at the hotel also at Raya. They are doing a beautiful mother and daughter tea they're doing a mother day brunch , I believe the decorations will be up until the end of May so if you have a chance to go, the food is always delicious and the atmosphere is sublime.
