Rayluca Chocolate

We’ve been enjoying Rayluca chocolates for several years now with their amazing array of healthy, high quality, vegan chocolate in San Diego. We were thrilled that they opened a new storefront with chocolate tastings, and were lucky enough to be the first ones to partake in one of the sessions. It was a wonderful, personable experience with the founders. We got to see where “the magic happens” and try a very generous selection of chocolates that also included a blind tasting contest with the other participants. Highly recommended!

I’ve been purchasing from Rayluca for years because it’s one of the highest quality gluten-free and dairy-free chocolate products I’ve found (friends and family members who’ve tried it didn’t know it was gluten-free or dairy-free and absolutely loved it as well). The flavor combinations are so creative! A few of my favorite flavors are: S’mores, Hazelnut Ganache, and Salted Caramel. The ingredients are high quality and don’t contain processed, refined sugar. Highly recommend if you’re in San Diego- or ship it to another location (I’ve gifted to family members states away and the packaging and presentation is always fantastic).

Rayluca is based in San Diego but we recently got to try their chocolate when they popped-up at VegFest Colorado and we were not disappointed! Everything they make is vegan and thoughtfully made. We got to sample the hot chocolate which was delicious, as well as a variety of truffles. Everything we tried was decadent and you can truly taste the quality of the ingredients used. We ended up picking up a 4-pack of truffles and definitely look forward to ordering more in the future!

If you’re in San Diego and looking for gluten-free gourmet chocolate that’s truly refined, lower glycemic, and refined sugar-free, Raylua Chocolate is exceptional. The chocolate is thoughtfully balanced — not too sweet, clean on the palate, and made so you can actually taste the quality of the ingredients. This is clearly craft chocolate made with care. Everything feels intentional, from the flavors to the presentation. It’s indulgent without being heavy or overwhelming, which is rare in chocolate. Finding something that’s refined sugar-free, lower glycemic, and still genuinely luxurious isn’t easy — but Raylua absolutely delivers. You can tell this is a company that truly cares about what they make, and it shows in every detail. Highly recommend for anyone who values quality, balance, and beautifully made chocolate.

Bryan was amazing! Best hot chocolate and chocolates you’ll ever have! And I have a dairy and gluten allergy and could have everything! This is a MUST for every chocolate lover! I care about what I eat and its plant-based and clean ingredients which is amazing! Definitely coming back, even again in the rain! Love that they’re here in the Little Italy Farmers Market!

I tried Rayluca Chocolate at a local market, and it was absolutely delicious! You can really taste the quality and care that goes into every piece. I love that their chocolates are plant-based, clean, and made locally in San Diego. The owners are warm and passionate about what they do—it feels good to support a small business that truly values health and sustainability. Highly recommend if you want chocolate that’s both wholesome and indulgent!

The best and richest chocolate I've ever had in San Diego. The owner of the shop is very funny and cool, plus he is a very lucky guy who has the prettiest wife, haha. I'm going to buy some for my parents, too!!!

Updating my review based on responses: 1) free samples are free sample. You overcharged us by $5 like you mentioned and you came to our house and demanded the free sample back in exchange for the $5. You guys refused to give us the "small $5 difference" that you overcharged us by. This was outrageous 2) yes I spent so much money that I received a $50 discount and yet you guys didn't honor the free hot chocolate promo your own website states. No where on your site does it say your own promos don't apply during that period The lack of accountability for your own subpar customer service is really telling... you can at least own up to what you guys did and not try to twist the truth of what you admitted ** Original: Products are a hit or miss. Customer service is consistently awful. The website advertised free hot chocolate with 3 items purchased but when we received the order (of 8 items) they didn't include the free hot chocolate and said it's because I got a Black Friday discount so I didn't qualify. The website had the free hot chocolate advertised during this period and there was no fine print anywhere that said otherwise. We've had a previous instance where they included a free sample and then demanded it back after there was an issue with our order and they overcharged us. Really bizarre customer service...

We stumbled on this via Yelp. Thanks Yelp. Off the beaten path in an unassuming office park sits something special. We walked in and wondered if we had the right place, but a warm smile and welcoming aroma greeted us. They are small, artisanal small, but their sampling room still feels like a hip day spa. We were greeted by the owner, Raluca, who is clearly very excited to share what she makes, and it shows. She is happy to answer any questions and does so with a sparkling personality. She discussed ingredients, sources, processes, flavors, and final products. It was the most interesting Ted talk I've ever seen. Now let's discuss the chocolate. When Phil Rosenthal visited the French Laundry, head chef Thomas Keller made a point of showcasing how the thinner the chocolate shell, the higher the quality. Well, these chocolates have an almost paper thin shell. They use imported Belgian chocolate, and it pays off. Dark, rich flavors linger on the tongue and left me clambering for more. Their caramel gingerbread is an absolute delight. The flavors are all there, and the texture is perfect. The cherry tasted like the ideal chocolate covered dark cherry, like what a chocolate covered cherry aspires to be. Their coffee is sublime. Textures and flavors are all pleasant, and each piece was lovingly made by hand, in short, they taste as good as they look, and they look amazing. They are completely gluten and dairy free. They also ship nationwide. This place is worth a visit, if only to sample and enjoy an education on chocolate while relaxing at a day spa. But I'm betting you won't leave without taking some home.

You definitely did not have a longer line, it was the same amount as every other vendor there (please don't try to falsely inflate yourself while demeaning others yet again). However the difference was whenever people were next in line they were actually helped by the other vendors, while you completely ignored people right in front of you completely at your will. Perhaps it's discrimination as I can't think of any other reason, why you'd skip over specific people... Sorry that we are not all blonde hair and white skin like you. As far as the quality, I believe the person who was purchasing had reports from her customers that they had gotten sick and she stopped purchasing to carry your product. In either case even if it happened to be the most delicious product in the world, with a bad attitude and poor treatment of people you can't go too far as a business.

Everything I tasted I immediately loved! The kind of sweetness that doesn't hurt . Grabbed a box at the Chocolate Fair in Bellevue where they stood out among many. I am looking forward to our trip to San Diego in November to get more.

These chocolates are velvety, creamy , well balanced in flavor and sweetness. Made by hand with passion and love deliver a superior quality that surpasses expectations! I found the stand at the San Diego Market and I was very impressed with the quality, presentation of the product and the owner who is very nice and professional.You can can tell she is driven by passion and dedication.

These are seriously the best! I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars. My wife thought that these chocolates were of exceptional quality and we will definitely be coming back!

The chocolate candy is delicious. The carrot cake is beyond bad. It had so much frosty that you can't taste anything else. 95% of the carrot cake went into the trash as it was just horrible. It was one of the worst cakes I have ever eaten. Carrot cake is one my favorite cakes. I had friends tell me that the famous cake is a good thing. For the cost of the cake and how bad the carrot cake was, I am not sure if I want to order from this company again.

The best chocolates in San Diego, usually when I buy chocolates I eat one in a while but with Rayluca chocolates they don't last a week! The bars are always fresh and natural tasty, my favorite flavors are peanuts and almonds. Also try the s'mores + raspberries bounties and don't forget the Hot Chocolate, is amazing, creamy and full of flavor.

We got to meet Rayluca Chocolate in person today! We ordered a sampler box back in May for our anniversary. It was the MOST decadent confectionary EVER! So rich and creamy! Better than any Nordstrom or See's Candies truffles!

You guys, I went to this bachelorette party and, among other goodies, they served these delicious desserts from Rayluca Bakes !!! Here's the best part: they are healthy alternatives you can truly feel good about: organic, vegan and gluten-free! The taste was amazing, I was very fond of the rose chocolate, yummm! I highly recommend you try them, they ship anywhere in the US!

rayluca's chocolates are the sweets i have been searching for my whole life. i love chocolate, but i often find most desserts to be too sweet which leaves one with an upset stomach and increased sugar cravings. however, rayluca manages to craft the most delicious, satisfying, and indulgent treats with clean, quality ingredients that leave your mind, body, and soul absolutely content and fulfilled. they offer chocolates that are dairy free, gluten free, soy free, vegan, paleo, made with organic ingredients and no refined sugar. i'll admit, they are pricey, but it makes sense when considering the ingredients, taste, and quality of the product. i originally found them at the hillcrest farmers market that happens on sundays, but you can also order from their website! i highly recommend giving them a try :)

These truffles are one word ... MAGICAL Amazing chocolate truffles that melt in your mouth goodness. I'm a huge fan of snickers and their snickers flavor is TO DIE FOR! They also have a pumpkin pie flavor but they sold out I guess I have to come back and get more ‍ if you're are ever in San Diego and you get a chance to see them at a farmers market you won't be disappointed!

Please where can I find this again!!!?? It was delicious and I wish they lived by me My main complaint is that I can't contact them to buy more! I found them at a farmers market and hope they open up a store soon. I called and no one picked up! I had their snickers bar and I wish I had bought 4 of them! I'm already thinking about ordering it for thanksgiving dessert if was that good! I just need to contact somebody to do so! lol They ARE NOT cheap by any means but def worth a splurge! I got a box of their mixed struggles and they were absolutely delicious- they are healthier than regular chocolates as they are vegan, gluten free and dairy free. And they look stunning. They would make a fantastic gift - but mine were devoured almost immediately as we wanted to taste all the different truffles. They come in a lovely box and look like premium chocolates.

The most amazing truffles you will ever have- and they're guilt free (vegan, no refined sugar, organic)! My favorite is the pistachio and lavender truffles. Presentation is A+ taste is A++!

The Italian Hot Chocolate is absolutely incredible it's unlike anything else, I love it! Closest I've had was at a cafe in Paris but this is better! I also scored some the chocolate bark and it was divine, so delicious. Now I'm trying to decide what to order next, amazing!

We had a custom wedding cake made by Raluca and could not have been happier. Many of our non-vegan guests were shocked just how good it tasted and I would recommend Rayluca's services to all. The communication leading upto the wedding was first class and really made us feel at ease knowing our cake would be ready for the big day.

Bryan was super sweet at the farmers market. Gave us samples and we ended up purchasing. The snickers was out of this world! Tasted just like it and very excited to try the other!!

Fabulous chocolates - we love the chocolates we have tried, and we are loving our evening vegan hot chocolate! We are using oat milk with it, and it is very rich, luxurious, and just the right amount of sweetness. I look forward to this as a dessert often and can't wait to share with friends. We first bought at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market/San Diego, but will continue to buy online when we return home. Sooo good!

What's better than yummy truffles? Yummy truffles that are good for you! These are all sweetened with Dates and maple syrup, leaving out all of the refined sugar that's not so good for you. Natural, Plant based, gluten free ingredients is just a plus! My favorite is the Orange Glaze and 'ferrero' Honorable mention: pistachio It's hard to pick my favorites on here without listing them :)

Had a wonderful experience and Rayluca Chocolates. High quality chocolate that isn't hiding behind loads of sugar. The decadence and delicacy of these flavors is incredible!! I absolutely love these truffles. Tried each one of them, and they all rock. It's amazing to have such healthy options available, that I feel good about sharing with my 4yo child. Absolutely most delicious, fresh and natural cake I ever had. We got a three layer cake with chocolate base and raspberry and chocolate mousse. Rayluca's truffles and cakes are GF and out of this world. Must have for any occasion or no occasion at all.

BEST TRUFFLES EVER!!! The ingredients are healthy which makes it even better! Worth giving a try! We came across this place on vacation and it was the best experience we had! I thoroughly enjoyed this gift of homemade vegan chocolates! They were beautifully made--like bon bons, nestled in a beautiful box. They were irresistible. The chocolate was rich and smooth, and the fillings even better. I especially liked the one that had a touch of strawberry or raspberry.

I was lucky enough to meet Rayluca at the Hillcrest Farmers Market. The pumpkin dark chocolate truffle changed the trajectory of my day. The dark chocolate is the most delectable quality! At first bite it drowns the pumpkin, but then you are delighted with the most perfect pumpkin pie finish. Obviously, Rayluca knows high end chocolates. These are far superior! I have a large number of food allergies and after reading the few ingredients that are in the desserts (the less ingredients the better, less processed) I decided to give the chocolates a try. Now usually the limited amount of food I can have makes most things taste bland or have an unusual texture but I was so wrong with their desserts. They taste so wonderful. I did not have a reaction, I was so excited. I get the rasberry truffles but the owner was so amazing she made a new flavor, key lime, just so I would have something else to enjoy. My husband has tried their other flavors and loved them. If you want some of the best natural ingredients desserts these are it.
