Raymundo's Taco Shop

I tried the grilled shrimp taco. Nicely seasoned and the tortilla was nice. High price point with tip + tax for what it is. Wish they used more environmentally friendly products.

Muchísimas Gracias a Raymundo y su colega! In the middle of a long trip to California’s coast, all the way from our home in Colorado, our group found ourselves in Raymundo’s colorful and welcoming restaurant. The food left our bellies and our hearts full. The tortas were “gas” the salsa was “hella good” and the drinks refreshed us after a morning in the sun. The food was made well, with care and love you could taste in every bite. Raymundo himself was even kind enough to take a photo with us all. In a world pushing us towards faceless fast food mega chains, local businesses like this one keep our world as vibrant as the walls in this lovely place.

Quick, tasty, friendly. Great for lunch. Love that they have breakfast burritos all day. We really liked their guacamole, but all our food was solid. Prices were very reasonable. Two burritos for $25.

The thing that most taco shops like this struggle with are the beans and rice (bean’s especially). They are a good litmus for how good the rest of the food is. The beans are top notch, terrific consistency and taste. The hot sauce is good. The portions are generous and the prices surprisingly low for La Jolla, and in comparison with other, similar taco shops. In order of yummyness (from what we've tried so far 😋 1- fish tacos 2- beef taquitos with guac 3- carne asada tacos 4- shrimp tacos were so so in comparison. Super reasonable prices especially for the area. Quick service Fyi - no restrooms

Small shop in a town people visit to feel wealthy for a couple of hours. I had the rice bowl with carne asada. Came with beans and guacamole. Steak was acceptable if not a little tough but not fatty like Chipolte. Counter service with 10 tables. No wifi. Worth the $12.93.

There are many tacos shops in La Jolla. But this is the best tacos in town. Shrimp and fish tacos were seasoned perfectly and the tortillas are AMAZING. These are what make great tacos and Raymundo knows that.

Incredible fish tacos! I did my homework on which ones to try and this is the place folks! Great prices, authentic and simply to die for! You want good tacos? This is your place.
