The owners are so friendly here & the donuts are great. They're not expensive at all but the quality is legit. They serve bubble teas now too & we tried the coffee finally & it's good for donut shop coffee!

Just found this place this morning, and oh man is it AMAZING. Talk about making my Friday. The maple bacon donuts are fantastic, but they aren't a total sugar bomb like other places... You can actually taste the maple and bacon flavors over the sugar. And BOBA IN MY ICED COFFEE?! hell yeah! I'll be back every Friday, for sure.

Sooo good! The donuts have a perfect outer crust which is the sign of a good donut! I got the sour cream with chocolate icing and the blueberry fritter, and a large coffee, and it was all only $5! This might be the last restaurant on earth that sells things for what they should cost! Amazing!

Yummy!! I was in town visiting after moving away and stopped by Ray's for a donut and remembered how good it was from when I lived in the area. So good, I stopped and picked some up to bring home to my mother. We enjoyed them for a snack that night and breakfast the next day!

My family loves Ray’s! It’s such a treat to go in for donuts- they are always fresh and delicious. Not expensive either and the staff is so friendly. We also get breakfast sandwiches on croissants which are equally delicious. Grateful to have them in the neighborhood.

The only reason it's a 4* is because the donuts are soooo ultra-sweet/sugary. I felt that could probably get toned down a titch. And I'm a HUGE sweet tooth. The texture of their sour cream was sooooo good. Decent flavor. The pumpkin cake was awesome! We got a bunch, but after having one each, we were sugared out! So, we have yet to try the rest.

Always fantastic. Try their breakfast items. Very tasty but their donuts are the best around.

I can't believe I haven't been to this place yet! I'm supposed to be the donut guy 🤣. This place is top notch and is one of my new favorites! Some notes 1. These are the sugary yeast based donuts (my favorite). 2. The fritters are crazy good and they have a few different kinds which you don't see that often. 3. Pricing is about average compared to other places 4. Filled donuts are packed with filling! I will definitely be back to try more! Pictured are the strawberry filled, old fashioned and crumb cake and apple fritter! EDIT Something I noticed more the second time, is that there is a sweeter flavor in their icing, which can make the donuts feel heavier and more filling. I noticed myself slowing down more than I usually do 🤣. So if you are not a fan of overly sweet donuts you may want to choose wisely. They still taste amazing though!

The croissant was the best I have had anywhere. It was light and flaky and delicious. The bagel was yummy, too. The sausage was a little spicy for me but had a good flavor. The donuts were fluffy and moist. The staff was kind and the shop was clean and well organized with too many drink choices to name. We will definitely be back!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! I came in almost 2pm on a Thursday and they still had about 40% of their donuts maybe less so I didn't get to try every flavor but the woman behind the counter (I think the owner?) Is sooooo nice! This was my first time and I'll definitely be back! I ordered a dozen donuts & she asked what kinda but I told her just put whatever because it's for my doctor's office so I don't know what they like but then she gave me a couple extra doughnuts and even offered me a second dozen at a huge discount! Which I absolutely accepted because now I get a dozen for home and 14 for the doctor's office They have cute donut themed merchandise for sale, a ton of variety in drinks and a very homey feel to the place with a relaxed vibe There's tons of parking in the shared lot and there was a good bit of traffic since Christmas is next week but still easy to get in and out! I don't know what flavor donuts I got but they're all so good so far! They're sweet but it's a donut so ‍ flavor is on point though and dough is not dry at all! Will 100% be back

Looking for a sugar and stress fix while in the area and Yelp reviews of 4+ made me stop here. Do it for the Donuts +'s: + Fresh and restocked. Upon arrival some flavors like strawberry were gone but luckily restocked when I had shown up + Pleasant and patient service as I mulled on which ones to take home + Decent variety from cake to glaze to twists to Boston Cream to fritters Don't do it for the Donuts -'s: - Overall didn't feel like the calories were worth the bites. Got the glazed and prefer Krispy Kreme. - Fritters were also very sweet - Limited selection when you arrive at the wrong hour Overall it was ok.

Delicious, light and flavorful. The service is excellent and the price is right. I ordered a glazed and crumbled top donut. The glazed melted in your mouth and the crumbled top cake donut was really light in texture and I don't know what's in the crumble but it was really nice

Lovely service and a very dedicated staff. My boyfriend and I love getting breakfast on the weekends, or on the way to work. The Ham egg and cheese on an everything bagel is my favorite! i love the ambiance because it's the way it should be. Nothing fancy, just donuts in a case, but that's just the way I like it! Thanks for being a little hole in the wall! I'll be excited when you guys finally get your own brick and mortar building, but dang i'm sure you'll be busy everyday!

Stopped into this local spot to try to help support and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was incredibly nice. Ordered a sour cream doughnut that was phenomenal and a quick bagel and cream cheese. Everything was great and will be back.

Delicious! Stopped by this shop early on a Sunday afternoon. They still had an array of fresh options available. The prices are comparable or less to a large donut chain. The donuts were fresh, lightweight, and flavorful. I purchased a 1/2 dozen for $6.99. I would recommend this place to a friend & will be returning.

If you're looking for the best, most fresh donuts. Go to Ray's! Went with my family and WOW. I will never go to another location ever again. Big chains are TRASH compared to these donuts. Trust me. Even if it's out of your way.. just do it. I'd drive an hour every weekend just for these gorgeous things. Saturdays are my cheat days... this is the ONLY place to spend it on. I would've posted pictures but... there's only crumbs left.. I promise to update with pictures next Saturday!

Donuts so good I had to post about them! I'm a sucker for a mom & pop shop and toss one did not disappoint. Fast and friendly service and fresh donuts each time I go in. Referred by a neighbor. Highly recommend.

Forget the nearby donut chains -- Ray's is the gold standard for donuts in the northwest Atlanta suburbs. I had discovered Ray's in some way online in the spring and decided that's all I wanted for Mother's Day: a donut from Ray's. My angel of a husband woke up bright and early to get there first thing for the best assortment. He came home with a dozen donuts, each one better than the last, and I've been dreaming of returning ever since for another taste of the freshest donuts ever. Logistics are the only con here. Ray's is open from 5am-3pm on Tuesdays-Saturdays and 5am-2pm on Sundays. They will run out of popular items. They have no website. If you need any updates, you'll have to go to Facebook, where I just learned that they're actually closed now for the holidays and won't reopen until 1/3/23. I love that they're taking this time off, but the only way to know about this closure is by checking out their Facebook page, so keep that in mind when planning a Ray's donut run.

Love this place! Last week I had a taste for some donuts and I found this local spot. I've been 3 times since then lol their donuts are soo good, but their breakfast sandwiches are AMAZING!! I think it's the cheese they use but they are seriously so good!!

Best donuts in the Atlanta suburbs!!!! They don't have the fancy toppings like other places but that is not what I am looking for. I am old school and nothing beats their "Classic Glaze"!! Perfect combo of crispy outside and density inside. Bacon Maple is a nice treat too! Sugar donut is also fantastic! Go. You won't be sorry.

Delicious donuts that never disappoint. The plain with chocolate icing and the cinnamon sugar are my favorites. My team regularly picks up several dozen donuts on any and every special occasion.

Definitely the best donuts in the area. Fresh light and airy .. absolutely delicious. If you're old enough it's probably like you remember and a homemade donut place not the manufactured crap That's out there nowadays!

Their yeast donuts are incredibly airy & fluffy - & I normally like cake better. The blueberry fritter came highly recommended, & it did not disappoint. You could tell that they used real blueberries, & the flavor came through . The sour cream was a little burnt & didn't taste as moist like some I've had, but it was still decent. I've never had an OG glaze that beat Krispy Kreme's, but this one came close! Favorite: Cinnamon sugar. The rise in this yeast donut was unmatched, & biting into it was heavenly. Least favorite: Strawberry cake. Unfortunately, the strawberry was artificial & tasted like bubblegum. Super nice people, we got half a dozen & she gave us a free 7th just because! I would definitely come back here.

I loooooove Ray's Donuts. Lately I've been trying out different locations and I can say for sure that this is in my top three. This location, Tara blvd and Decatur. I love that this location has cute indoor seating. The customer service was wonderful for 5 o'clock in the morning. My tea was alright, it could've been sweeter. The sandwich, which was a bacon, sausage, egg and cheese bagel, WAS GREAT! I also got a chocolate cake donut. It was so perfect. I felt like it melted right in my mouth. It was so soft, had to be freshly baked. If I've ever in the area at 5am again, I'll definitely stop by.

I stopped at Ray's Donuts Marietta to check out their donut selection and uh oh I did not like them. I chose 2 original glazed donut, 1 apple fritter and 1 single twist, the cashier threw in a few mini donuts what a kind gesture of her with it being my first visit. The donuts were soft and chewy but they left a foul after taste which didn't sit right with me. I thought maybe it was just one donut but no! it was all of them. Some of the donuts I did wanna try were sold out so, maybe I was given the unlucky batch not really sure. But I really was hoping to make this my go to donut spot unfortunately it will not wasn't a hit for me. No outdoor seating. No napkins at tables. Has convenient parking. On arrival the shop seemed closed because the display sign wasn't lit up. Open sign wasn't visibly illuminated to be opened driving by from a distance.

Set your alarm for 5am because you'll never go back to regular donuts! These donuts are so soft. My favorite donut has to be their bacon donut that you much try. Considering you might only get to try it once since they sell out quick!

This is everything you'd expect from a local donut shop: delicious eats, better pricing, and all the local quirks. They do not have vegan options available, but it is a favorite donut for all my colleagues and family - and yes, we test tasted with area shops that are MUCH more expensive. Like many bakeries, it closes around 3 pm so make sure you get there early for the best selection. The glazed donuts are fluffy AF and you'll also find maple donuts all year round (for some reason they are hard to find in the area). The stuffed donuts are a favorite as well, but you likely can't go wrong. The spot is extremely popular, so go early on the weekends for the best selection.

Amazing selection and great prices. I typically stop in every Friday morning to get one or two dozen assorted for the crew at work. The best claws are amazing, apple, blueberry fritters are out of this world, and the regular yeast donuts, there is nothing that compares to them along with your purchase they toss in a few donut holes in your box. The texture of the glazed donuts is like nothing you have had before. Don't miss the maple bacon donut, that's another of their specialty donuts! Cannot compare to the two big boys in the market. RAYS gets my core for the best around.

Everything was delicious turkey sausage/egg bagel sandwhich, Thai tea, plain glazed donuts. I plan on hitting them up whenever I work in Marietta on the weekends

Absolutely love "Ray's Donuts" Its a hole in the wall place where they make all pastries same day & when sold out they close. They even have delicious breakfast croissants. If you want to get something I suggest you go early. Wish we had more places like Ray's Donuts

I love the croissant sandwich with ham, cheese and eggs! It's literally perfection! We have also had a number of their doughnuts and they are all great! They have some unique flavors and of course all the classics! My favorite is the cinnamon sugar doughnut!

I read an article on the Top 100 Donut Shops in the US which was published by Yelp in early June 2022. Ray's Donut Shop was listed as #10 on the list. The article stated that one of Ray's specialty donuts are fritters. So being a lover of apple fritters, I decided to give them a try. My daughter was in town so I bought a half a dozen fritters (apple, peach, and blueberry). The blueberry fritters were the biggest surprise to me. I love apple fritters but the blueberry ones were delicious! This donut shop in a non-descriptive strip shopping center is well worth the drive.

Ray's donuts are excellent, best in the area. Selection becomes very limited by mid-morning so better get there early. Apple and Blueberry Fritters are my favorites! Sugar Ray's are good too as are the cinnamon buns. These donuts are must haves.

Go for the ham and cheese croissant!!! It's the perfect breakfast pocket to start your day. The croissant is flaky and buttery. They bake the croissant with the ham and cheese inside trapping the ooey gooey cheesy goodness. Ask for it warmed, you won't regret it. While you're there, check out their fritters. They have apple and blueberry. Those are also tasty if you warm them up a little. If you order a half dozen or more donuts, they generously throw in a few donut holes! Yum!
