Ray's Grill

Wonderful experience at Ray’s Grill. Everything was great, we had such a great time. We went there on a Sunday for lunch and the place was empty. Service was good as well and super quick. We got a poke bowl, fries, wings, sandwich and a butter squash salad. The nachos were awesome loaded with cheese and guacamole. Better than in some Mexican restaurant.

I used to be a regular at Ray’s Grill because it was close to home and convenient, but today was the last straw. I ordered the tortilla soup, hoping it would be easy on my stomach after a bout of food poisoning the day before. I specifically asked for some bread with it—literally the most basic thing you’d expect with soup—but they didn’t include any. When I asked, they wanted to charge me extra. It’s not about the money, it’s about the principle and basic customer care. I was sick and relying on them, but instead they nickel-and-dimed me over bread. Very frustrating and disappointing. I won’t be going back, and I’ll be warning friends and family about this place.

The food is good and big portion , the prices is good , the interior setting is nice as the exterior setting , the atmosphere is good as well , I recommend this place if you visit Stanfard university.

Place sucks now. They didn’t even put ham in my breakfast sandwich. Also the egg was over salted. Little concerning how they forget the ham… did you guys run out of ham? Btw the fries are terrible. Frozen fries maybe?

Decent food with enormous variety on the menu. Had the poke bowl and portion size was good for the price. The space and atmosphere are not the best nor welcoming, so would recommend grabbing to-go

Ordered a butternut squash arugula salad with quinoa which was quite delicious. Food came our quite quickly, plenty of seating, easy access to all the residential areas of Stanford and not too far from the central campus.

Went here after my early shift, woman behind the order bar was very rude to me, and my food was sub par. Woman was very snooty and acted as if she hated her job. Don’t recommend if you like good service.

One of the worst customer service I’ve experienced. Server charge large while asked for medium. And when I question she said “then I wouldn’t serve you”.

Great place for a quick meal or to grab food/drinks with a group! The people taking the orders at the counter are always super friendly and happy to make customizations and adjustments to the dishes which I really appreciate. I like the chicken caesar salad and the chicken teriyaki bowl. The chicken on the salad was really fresh and crisp on the outside last time I got it and the sun dried tomatoes were a nice addition.

Overall reviews are much lower than I expected considering that it's a solid spot and serves huge portions. Like Treehouse it has everything you would want to get whether that's Mexican, Italian, and Thai. Highly recommend the steak nacho fries or quesadilla

Nasty food. Terrible service. What kind of place makes you stand half an hour before you have to ask about your order yourself??? Ridiculous.

I'd give the food a 4.5 and the customer service a negative star. Night shift crew is awesome. It's the 2 Hispanic lady's on the day shift and mostly the older short lady. She is very rude. Always seems like the line of customers is wasting her time. She differently shouldn't be in the front end counter dealing with student with a tuition in the 10s of thousands. The treehouse has way more foot traffic with great custom service along with the lovely ladies at coho alumni. Would be awesome to have a paging system when your food is ready rather than These lady's screeching out your number while you're standing 10ft away.

Convenient location, decent-quality food and huge servings for the price. If you're a pork eater, definitely try out their carnitas. I'm not Mexican so I can't say much about how authentic it is, but flavor wise, it's the best I've ever had.

I eat here so much and I absolutely love the food here! Literally every single thing I order has been so good and the staff is always super friendly! The environment is very clean and I love their seasonal decorations so much! I usually like to get their beef and shrimp tacos and recently tried the Philly cheesesteak which I also really love!

Tried the new smash burger very underwhelming. The girl behind the counter is the worst. She must be a relative to still have a job after reading the reviews. They gave me like 8 fries with my $14 meal. Treehouse is the same owner but better service. Don't go to Rays until they hire someone with actual customer service

If you are on the Stanford campus in PaloAlto in the graduate housing area this is about the only place that I can find open on a dark and rainy night. I don't know where else you could go and find the company has so many brainy people.

Classic Ray's! Part of the GCC and a wonderful 5 star classic spot for the convenience of quiet eats while studying, watching the ongoing Stanford football games, and getting water if you're here with dance. The food itself is probably at most a 3.5 star compared to the rest of the campus grub, but I'm mostly here for the ambience. They have both outdoor and indoor tables and a great restroom . What more can you ask for as a student? P.S. Currently their Halloween decorations are DOPE.

I really wanted to enjoy this place (Ray's in the Graduate Community Center, 750, reading the reviews I learned there's other Ray's) but the service has consistently disappointed me. There's a specific staff member--possibly the daughter of another employee--whose attitude is so negative that it makes my visits unpleasant. Every time I come in, she avoids eye contact, never acknowledges me, and always seems preoccupied with other tasks. I usually have to initiate the interaction, hoping she's ready to take my order. I've also noticed a stark difference in how she treats male customers--she's friendly and upbeat with them, but not with me. When my food is ready, she barely announces it, speaking so quietly that I almost miss it. She calls out the order number, but frustratingly, never gives me the number upfront when I pay. I've tried a variety of breakfast items here, and honestly, none have been impressive. I hate to leave such a negative review, but I feel it's necessary for improvement. While I see that management has put out comment cards, I fear even worse treatment if I fill one out. So, I'm turning to Yelp to express my concerns."

Unfortunate update - I still like Ray's on its good days, and the benefits of the location still stand. However, after multiple trips, I've noticed some recurrent health concerns. -Sometimes the ingredients are served not fresh: for example, the poke bowl I regularly order will frequently have funky-smelling, off-color edamame, browned avocado, and/or dry, brown-edged shredded cabbage. The fish has always seemed fresh, but it seems like they prep the veggies sometimes more than a day before and will serve it even if it's visibly past prime. About a third to half the time, the veggies I receive seem "off." I order the poke without the spicy mayo - it's possible that covered with sauce, one wouldn't notice the "off" vegetables - but that's not comforting. -Today, I watched the cashier lower her mask to cough into her bare hand, and then, without washing that hand, use it to hand me my food, fingers touching the bare plate. Even outside of a pandemic, that's yuck. I'll still come here because of the convenience, but these health concerns have me looking elsewhere.

I really wanted to like this place because the prices are fair and the portions are generous. I ordered a Caesar salad from Rays a couple of weeks ago,but found a insect in my salad after I had consumed half of the salad. From my experience in the restaurant industry,I know that this sorta stuff happens,but coming here and seeing reviews from others about health concerns it isn't really comforting. I'm not upset because I know this stuff happens.

Yelp really needs to allow negative stars for places like this one. The food is less than average and way overpriced. I understand cost has gone up and I don't mind paying for food, however the service at this place is unbelievably horrible. In particular the order taker Veronica(according to name on receipt). She clearly hates her job and it shows. I cannot understand how they have 3 stars. If you want good food and good service you NEED TO STAY AWAY from this s**t hole.

Daniel, who took my order over the phone was super polite and accommodating! I ordered one of my favorite items, the Hawaiian Teriyaki Bowl with brown rice. I had just tested Covid positive, and Daniel was willing to let me drive up with a mask on, and open the trunk where he put my order!

Tastes like nostalgia. Always happy to support a locally owned campus business. The pad Thai might not compare to the ones at some of the high quality Thai places in Palo Alto, but it tastes like loving, warm comfort after a late night stressing over assignments. The burritos are surprisingly tasty - and surprisingly huge. I'm a big fan of the wet burritos, with red and green sauce. The counter service is quick and efficient. It's a cozy space, but usually has seats.

I'm not sure how Ray's does it but they have the most diverse menu selection I've ever seen. The chef in the kitchen can make you Chinese, Thai, Indian, Mexican, Italian, Japanese and American food. I'm not kidding about it. Just peep in Ray's and take a look at the menu yourself. The prices are very reasonable as well. Most entrees are under $10. This is my go to restaurant when I'm close to Maples. I've tried the Pad Thai, curry, burritos, quesadilla, fries, breakfast sandwiches and the Indian curry before. Surprisingly the pad Thai was very flavorful and served in a generous portion. I don't recommend the burrito and breakfast sandwich. Both entrees were a bit bland for my taste. The pad Thai is one of my favorites so far. You might want to order that to go because they give you quite a bit. I'm a big guy and I couldn't finish it. By the way, Ray's also serves beer. If I remember correctly, it actually only cost around $7 for a pitcher. Beer selection is limited but the price point is attractive. I think they have a couple of IPAs and Belgian beers. I agree with some of the previous comments about the customer service. The service here is subpar at best. It is almost impossible to have one of the clerks to even crack a smile. I guess working at Ray's will do that to you. They recently added a touch screen ordering kiosk. Now you can bypass all the face to face interactions altogether.

Ordered cheese fries and cal veg quesadilla. I had the Havana coffee before as well (like the condense milk part) and heard that hot chocolate was just so-so. Next time I might try the mango lassi. Th me quesadilla kept dripping when it was just server, so it was quite a mess of eating it. Cheese fries would need to eat it soon as the fries would soon merge in the cold air and got hard to separate.

Love Ray's! The Treehouse is closed on campus and ray's is really the only place with stopping for a burrito now. I totally recommend the Cuban missile crisis bowl, and if you're a little drunk, nothing beats the pad thai. (I'm sorry but sober ots just not as good!!) They have pitchers of beer that are cheaper than anywhere else in palo alto and nice outdoor tables! Waaaaay better than coho.

Aw, the feels... my husband and I used to do work here over dinner in our early dating days (it was located between my place and his place in grad housing) so I have good memories. The menu is pretty big and the price for the serving size is very fair. The menu includes things like chipotle-style rice bowls, burgers, nachos, fries , Indian food (?? it's actually not bad, the palak paneer is ok), and quasi-Chinese food It's mostly frequented by other grad students in the housing complexes in EV. They often have kale mojito or mango lassi (used to get this all the time) earlier in the day, usually out by the evening. Not that much seating, and on days that there's a game on tv it can be super loud and crowded. For everyone bemoaning the quality of food... I mean, I'm assuming you were here because you're a grad student and well, get used to it soon because a grad student budget is what it is.

Aw, sad to see this place get so much hate here. I think the food is pretty decent. But I am also someone who likes Panda Express, Chipotle, and the like -- you know, the super americanized fast casual chain eateries. I eat here every time I visit and stay with Stanford grad students, since it does indeed have a monopoly on grad dining. One thing I will say is that I always crave soda after eating at Rays. The pictured nachos called for some sparkling water (which you can get here in the form of bubly).

The people that work here are so rude! They always have a attitude. All look like they hate being here and they take it out on the customers.

Five stars hands down. If I could buy a house near rays, I would. Let's start with the cons. Yes, they have a very broad menu. Want Chinese food? Indian? Mexican? American? They got it all. Is it all good and worth ordering? Nooooo. (Ps. Never order the Chicken teriyaki) But some items are pretty perfect. Like the Chicken chow mein, quesadillas (I recommend adding bacon), steak tacos, steak nachos/fries, Tikka masala, fried rice, and im sure there's more, but who's brave enough to order it all? Also, the beer on tap is AMAZINGLY priced. Just thinking about it makes me thirsty. $14 for a pitcher. They even have a "starving student" menu item, which is rice and beans I think haha. Seriously, Ray's is delicious, and the staff are so friendly. Also seriously, don't buy that chicken teriyaki.

I can't tell you how angry I get every time I am forced to go to Ray's Grill. Forced you say? Yes. Stanford University has done the dumbest thing ever and awarded a complete monopoly to one company that now runs three of Stanford's few on campus restaurants - Ray's Grill, CoHo, and Treehouse. And, worse yet, these restaurants are three of the only restaurants that stay open past 10pm (the only other being Axe and Palm). That gives that company a monopoly on late night dining - when most students eat. Let me count the ways I hate thee: 1. Food is so-so. All the Asian dishes are 90% rice. They keep hot sauce on all the tables, which is great, because you need a ton of it to extract any flavor from the food. Fries are always cold and soggy, and the nachos make my stomach hurt. Some of the food here is okay, particularly the Thai Chicken Curry - my favorite. 2. BUT, don't go expecting to get the good good - they ALWAYS RUN OUT of just about everything. I've been here about 10 times now and have only had it once - it is always SOLD OUT! Two stories: a. One time I was here, I ordered the Thai chicken, waited 20 minutes with my friend, and then finally was called to get my food. We were starving and irate that it took soo long. But turns out, they called us up to notify that they were out of the curry. WTF. How did it take 20 minutes to figure this out? b. The most recent time I was here, I ordered my go-to dish, to again find them sold out. So I ordered another chicken dish and a soda. Turns out they had run out of Diet Coke (their ONLY diet soda offering). Took me a good 5 minutes to convince the lady to give me a refund on the soda. So then I tried ordering a Mocha coffee. Nope, out of mocha mix and chocolate. Infuriating. 3. They randomly CLOSE EARLY. Yes, it's one of the few late night spots. But if you show up even an hour before closing, you may find they've arbitrarily decided to close down early. And if it's a cold winter night and you've walked across campus, your only option is to walk across campus to the only other late night place. How can they be so willing to close early and give up this business? Oh yeah, because they own the other late night place. 4. Their employees are idiots and service is awful. I really don't like to say that, it feels rude, but I am constantly offended by how unhelpful the cashiers are. But when I ordered a soda and they were out of the diet soda, a refund is reasonable. Or I asked for canned soda, and she said no can do. Or, the time I ordered Curry Chicken to find out 20 minutes later it was sold out, they asked me what else I wanted, but REFUSED TO REFUND THE DIFFERENCE between my curry chicken and the cheaper dish I picked. And of course, they have never once offered to do anything nice to compensate for the numerous inconveniences. 5. The restaurant is uncomfortable and dirty. There are no obvious places to leave dirty dishes and food, so everyone naturally leaves them on the tables expecting them to be cleaned off. But nope. No one comes, so it doesn't take long before the entire restaurant is filled with rotting food and garbage all over the tables. Not to mention, there's usually music playing and the TV on, plus people talking loudly, so it's a bad environment to chat or do work. I wish I could say I'd never go back. But these jerks have a complete monopoly on grad student dining. I just hope Stanford will hear my pleas to kick this company out of campus.

Ah, Ray's. I've been visiting you since, well, before you were Ray's. And before you were the thing you were before that. Indeed, this place is a Godsend for Rains and EV residents who might otherwise have to walk a good 20 minutes to the Nuthouse to get a social beer, or, more likely, drink themselves silly in the cold comfort of their WWII-era institutional housing while keeping the noise down to avoid disturbing the equally jam packed families across the EV yard. Anyway, they've got a decent variety of snack offerings and cheapish beers on tap. The winners in each category are: - Snacks: the nachos with chicken (tastier than veggie or beef according to my crew) - Shocktop: wheat beer done right, and they always seem to have it here. Nice. Oh! And if they still have it: SoJu cocktails. Yes they tend to run weak but they'll make it a double for you. (If you haven't learned this method of surviving hard-liquor-less bars, grad school is as good a time as any.)

I like to get the Chicken Caesar Salad or the Thai Red Curry Chicken bowl here. Lots of variety in terms of cuisine, averaging around $6-8 per entree. Convenient for grad students living on campus.

For the starving graduate student, Ray's Grill seems like an oasis in the desert. There are so few options, I am grateful that at least Ray's Grill exists within walking distance. I take what I can get! Its a better option than Jack in the Box. FOOD: Thai Red Curry - Delicious and its a large portion and it comes with rice! It is rather spicy, perfect for a rainy day. Definitely my favorite! Chicken Nachos - This is large enough to share with someone! Guacamole, sour cream, cheese, beans, lettuce, onion, tomato on a bed of crunchy chips! I can't complain. SERVICE: It can be a little slow depending on what time you come in. But its a nice chance to wash your hands or grab a cute antibacterial spray that they hand out at the register! PRICE: Considering that each dish is big enough for two portions, I think the price is not too bad. ~$6-10 per dish. But keep in mind, I am a small asian girl! AMBIANCE: You can eat in the restaurant where there are TVs at every corner. You can eat outside on the patios in the front AND in the back. There is also seating upstairs where it is more quiet.

Oy Ray's. I'm always so torn when I'm trying to review a restaurant that made a mistake, then rectified it... But I'm just not going to give more than two stars. I refuse! My fiance and I came here right before a party, looking to eat but not overeat. I ordered their mexican veggie mix burrito bowl; he ordered their grilled cheese. The grilled cheese came out... But the burrito bowl was nowhere to be seen. We asked about it and they said it was coming. It wasn't. We waited about 15 minutes, still bowl-less. The cashiers kept eyeing us confusedly without asking us what we were standing around waiting for, and finally we went back up and asked the SAME people about the burrito bowl. They went into the kitchen, came out, and said it would be ready soon and offered us a cookie while we waited. They hadn't even started making it. So we just asked for our money back and told them not to bother. We sat at a dirty table, I ate half of the grilled cheese, my boyfriend had the other half, and then they brought out the burrito bowl, telling us it was on the house. No kidding-- we just got our money back because we asked. But by then I had (not) enjoyed a half of a grilled cheese sandwich, and was suddenly faced with stuffing my face before the party we were now late to. Like I said: oy Ray's.

This is strange, but I REALLY like the wings here. The angry habanero and the sweet tequila are definitely worth trying. The portion size for the mexican and asian food is pretty generous for the price and they're open late-ish, so this is definitely a quality option for the lazy, poor graduate students living in Rains/EV (like myself). I wish it was open even later, though.

Met the owner of the bar last night at the A's game and he invited us down for the Italy-Germany world cup game. Being an Italy fan it was great to find out that he's Italian and his friends and family were going to be there watching the game. Since it's on the Stanford campus in the graduate center, there was a huge crowd of Stanford students with a good split of Germany and Italy fans. The place was absolutely packed (which I'm sure is not normal when the school year is out) and they had Guinness on tap so it was formula for a great time. Cool little campus bar which I'll definitely check out again due to the owners friendliness and hospitality. Italia wins 2-0! Go ITALIA

Ray's has the worst pad thai I've ever had. Last time I had it, it was so salty it was almost inedible. The time before, it tasted like regular noodles and wasn't pad thai flavored at all. But their palak paneer is okay and so are their burgers. I think Ray's suffers from trying to serve all kinds of foods instead of doing one thing well. These days I only go to Ray's for the atmosphere and because it's the closest place to my apartment.

The location is great for students who live near by. The food is good. And there are many choices covering chinese, indian, Mexican and American.

Wooooooow people are haters huh. I think this place is a solid 4-star. I got a chicken burrito here, and it was a nice solid, burrito. Definitely no skimping on chicken or other fillings (rice and beans). It also came with tortilla chips and BOMB salsa and was only $6. Hollaaaaaaa. Also got Pacifico on tap for $3, this was actually kinda bad - tasted kinda watered down lol, BUT all the stuff my friends got they all liked - tostada salad and pad thai. Service here was like whatever tbh, I felt like I was being hella rushed but there was also a long line. I also don't know why you'd be here if you're not visiting Stanford for some reason bc like lol if you're not visiting Stanford then recommend u DON'T COME HERE and stay in real society because real society def has better food. But I mean it's still good food and reasonable price for what you get. Some people just got HELLA HIGH STANDARDS OR SMTH.

Ordered a California club during lunch. I did find it a bit different that this sandwich is made with chicken not turkey but it was actually not that bad. Unfortunately, the menu says it comes with avocado but when I got it, the avocado was replaced with pickles. All of this I'll get over but the one thing that really made me think "I'm better off not going here again" is the service. The girl who works at the register was quite rude and really had that "I don't give a shit" look and attitude. When I asked if I could get a to-go box she just said "you're going to have to wait". I'm sure she was doing a different task atm but there are a handful of more polite ways to say that but maybe that's not in her training. Anyways, I'm not trying to be dramatic even though her attitude would probably piss other people off so this place just gets a "meh" review.

Customer service here is terrible, as expected with a monopoly on grad student dining options. Food ranges from awful, eg the ethnic options, to mediocre for burgers and burritos. Prices are decent, but Rays is the definition of mediocre. This is the last resort option.

The good: garlic fries and garlic chicken wings are beyond awesome. The quantity is really good. Do order this if you are here. The prawn chow mein is also good but is a little oily. The chicken tikka masala is also good but is not exactly an authentic Indian dish The so-so: The starving student is super cheap. It only consists of tomatoes, onions, beans and rice but is very filling. The kung pao chicken comes with rice and is decent. The ugly: nachos. Never liked them. Don't order soda here from the fountain, for some reason they always taste bad

The only cool thing about this place is the $4 pints and the bar tender. That's literally about it. There is only one TV here really that I can think of so it isn't a great spot to watch any sports games, it isn't a full bar, so you can only have beer and wine (unless you play nice with the bar tender he may make you a soju cocktail with their secret stash ha ha), there are only a few tables, not really any decor at all, and definitely not a boppin' party spot either. I went here for an event for a prospective student weekend because they told us this is where all of the Stanford students go since it is on campus, but I think there were only 5 real students here, one of which was racist against me for not looking like my heritage. We got in a verbal fight here, and then luckily the bar tender was half white and half black too like I am and he sided with me and then kicked them out. Hence the shout out for the bar tender, and low rating on the bar.... This bar basically deters me from the social life at Stanford.....i mean no hard alcohol??? really??? Obviously stanford kids don't know how to balance work and play as well as berkeley students do!!! :)

This is not Thai Curry! I'm very disappointed with the Asian food here and this is not the only :( Gave 3 stars instead of 1 cause the cashier lady was nice!

I use Rays for catering services 3-5 times per year. They accommodate dietary restrictions, special menus and anything needed to make the event a success. I've always have participants talking and being grateful for the super delicious food and the traditional taste. Keep up the good work Elizabeth Aguilar!

Love Rays!!! Food is delicious and atmosphere is an entire vibe...I would definitely recommend eating here if you want the best Grilled Chicken Teriyaki Bowl in the City!!

Location, location, location. The food isn't too bad. Some of the drinks can be good but the stiffest drink is soju. The owner/manager/whatever seems like a swell enough fella and will talk to you, so it has a nice local business kind of feel. Edit: No Fish and chips? Nerfed! -1 star

Some believe that Yelp is purely a dumpster for people to rail on establishments after making snap judgments about the place based on a superficial, limited experience. This review will only bolster their case. The 750 sucks beyond belief. Despite the fact that it's a mere minute walk from Stanford's graduate housing, I don't think I'll bring myself to go there again anytime soon. The service is spectacularly slow -- getting a cheese steak and mozzarella sticks at a night where there were maybe five other people at the bar (during the total elapsed time we were there) took just about 2 hours. '2 hours,' you say, 'for food that takes an iota of effort and time to cook? You can't be serious!' Ah, did I fail to mention that our order of mozzarella sticks was EATEN BY THE STAFF? Yes, somehow the 2 bartenders there managed to forget that the one order that came out of the kitchen in the past half hour was actually ordered by someone in the restaurant! How novel! Thus they proceeded to chow down on our greasy, undercooked fried cheese without a second thought. It was only after my friend approached the workers, after about an hour of waiting for our so-called 'food', that this was discovered, however. But even then the bartender demanded to see proof of purchase (which he had, obviously) and we were told by the other worker to 'not worry about it.' I suppose that is an attitude one might take only if he had a stomach full of food... our food, that is. Anyways, we needed to wait another ungodly amount of time for our food to be re-made and this time it actually found its way to our table. Hoo-ray.

She's a grad student, so I figured we should just meet for drinks here. I hadn't been back at the 750 (now called Ray's) since 2006. I figured, how bad could it be? It'll be dark, and I can have some whiskey. Win-win. Shit. I was wrong. Basically, the 750 closed down and re-opened with a new name plus an identity crisis. When I walked in, I was confused as to what kind of place this was. Is it a bar, a cafe, or a study area? Yes, the old 750 was a mediocre bar, but at least it was a bar. It knew who it was, and there's something to be said for that. On the other hand, Ray's is bright. The table setup is like a late night cafe at Stanford. It does have a bar, but it only serves beer and wine. That's right: no hard alcohol. Given the lack of spirits, the bartender sold me a bottle of wine for $10, which was a pretty good deal. They only had red wine, but that's okay, since I do it for the antioxidants. He gave us two plastic cups, which is always very classy. As terrible as this may sound, it was actually a fun evening. I got to consume more than half a bottle of wine and enjoy good company. Would I come back? No.

Best food and vibes on campus. It's like the Peach Pit for grads. Not a grad? You might not love it. Why? I'll leave it a mystery, but grads will get it.

The only reasons I frequent Ray's are because it's located very close to my apartment and it's open later than most everything else on campus. More often than not, I would rather eat dinner at CoHo, Coupa Cafe, or Axe and Palm before heading home in order to avoid eating at Ray's. Pros: Ray's has a large variety of foods, including Mexican, Asian, and American (burgers). They give generous portions for a good price (especially compared to nearby eateries in Palo Alto). They also serve well as a pub: they serve loaded nachos, hot wings, beer, and wine. Cons: Almost everything on the menu is terribly greasy, salty, and/or swimming in sauce. The fried rice is the saltiest thing I've eaten in recent memory. There are very few healthy/balanced options. The teriyaki bowls have too much rice and don't have enough vegetables. The coffee and espresso drinks are very weak and tasteless. Recommendation: The fish (or chicken) burrito bowl is the healthiest non-vegetarian option on the menu. It's pretty good, until you start to eat it five days a week. In summary, as someone who is trying to watch what he eats, I'd rather go elsewhere. If you have a good metabolism and/or don't mind eating greasy food, the chicken club sandwich and the chicken (or steak) quesadilla are pretty tasty.

The most convenient place for a brewsky, when campus work has got you down. Their new menu rocks. I especially recommend the chicken breast melt and any of their burgers (damn fine burgers, second only to Oasis). Also great pasta, pizza, salads, and mixed (read, "girly") sake drinks. Guinness and Sierra on tap, along with a few other random beers (a hefeweizen) and a host of bottled imports. Highly recommended! Nice ambience. Fish and chips are back, and the fries are fresh and salted. Downside is no hard booze.
