Yelp
An Italian-American standard, and I mean that in the best way. Like a Frank Sinatra ballad (which we heard while dining), it is comfortable, familiar, and outstanding. I waited way too long to give Razzo a try. A look at the menu online, shows a solid listing of the familiar Italian-American classic dishes, nothing out of the ordinary, which is probably what gave me pause. However, everything we ordered was outstanding. I figured eggplant parm was a good dish to evaluate a new (to me) Italian place. It was prepared perfectly. The eggplant was cut lengthwise and thin, and lightly-breaded, while fried wonderfully crispy on the outside, with just the right amount of tasty sauce, and topped with the perfect amount of fresh, melted mozzarella. Also excellent the pappadelle pasta with sausage and peas in a cream sauce. We started with the roasted garlic appetizer, which was also a great choice. We got two whole bulbs of perfectly roasted garlic, along with warm olives, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, and pepperonata. It was served with thin, toasted bread slice. It was a perfect start to the meal. The restaurant itself is cozy and beautiful at the same time. It is located in a renovated old firehouse (the new one is right across the street). The decor is interesting and romantic, even incorporating the old fire pole. The service was also attentive and friendly. Radio is definitely recommended, I will be returning.
