The first thing you see is this amazing old converted firehouse. Then...the food. Every single thing from the prosciutto wrapped asparagus, to the eggplant parmagiana was truly to die for. And the dessert, the molten cake with the homemade whipped cream almost made me cry. Put this place on your list. You're missing out if you don't. And if you're really lucky, you'll get seated with Christa. She's incredible.

Google
Awesome evening with amazing service and the ability to explain the menu and have patience for the questions. It was really good service. The good was even better. The fried mozzarella block is definitely better than the average cheese stick. The shrimp were great. I really enjoyed everything and so did my whole party. Thanks for the nice night out.

Google
This was a very enjoyable restaurant. The staff is super friendly, drinks from the bar were great and the food …. AMAZING!!! The fried mozzarella was soooo good!! The pizza was amazing and the white lasagna was to die for!! Oh and an additional plus? The free, warm bread to start off with was great!!

Google
The food was absolutely delishes!!!! We had the Penne Al La Vodka, The Chicken Capers, and the Clam Appetizer. They were all so good. The building is beautiful and the booths are nice and high so you feel secluded.

Google
Tasty Italian-esque food. Small menu, but well prepared each time I've been. Servers are conscientious. Clean and sleek interior. Very reliable. Beet salad is epic. Good size bar.

Google
Always a great place for a date, or just going solo. The ambiance is the perfect setting. Food off the charts!!! Great selection of wines and beverages! Staff is very welcoming and very knowledgeable! White lasagna never disappoints! The fried mozzarella is a great appetizer!!

I’ve been coming here regularly over the past couple of months, and every visit has been nothing short of outstanding. The food is consistently excellent, the service is always prompt and professional, and the atmosphere creates the perfect dining experience. What really stands out is the staff — every employee I’ve interacted with has been extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. You can tell they genuinely care about providing a great experience for their guests. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for Italian food paired with exceptional service. They’ve earned my continued business.

Google
It's a small fire station built in 1923 on the national registry. It has been renovated into an Italian restaurant. The lasagna, both meat and chicken are very good. The white lasagna is VERY cheesy. The sauce for the meat (not specified) lasagna has just a bit of a kick.

Yelp
What a beautiful hidden gem in Norfolk. The Italian food was amazing! I had the meat lasagna and the beet salad, both were great! And the service matched the food! Both were top notch! So happy I came here! My wife had a great meal as well! The tuna with asparagus was wonderful! We both had an overall great time and will be back soon!!

Yelp
Bread 4 stars Service 4 stars Chicken parm cheese was crazy runny My pasta was a bowl of reheated spaghetti Obviously whoever is running the kitchen is uncaring

Yelp
Razzo is serving classic Italian-American fare in an amazing space that used to be a firehouse! I went with a group and the service staff was friendly and accommodating. Their Aperol spritz was very good! I wasn't super hungry, so I opted for their Caesar salad and it was great, but I do which it was dressed a little more heavily. Other entrees at the table looked amazing! I can't wait to go back and try more pastas and some of their larger plates!

Yelp
Omg! What a great little hidden gem in Norfolk! We went for a date night and it did not disappoint. The building is so cool, it's a historic fire station. The vibe is casual, inviting, and warm. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and so so kind. Our waitress Carla was very sweet and she helped us pick some great dishes! We also bonded over our love of dogs! My boyfriend started out with an italian beer called Peroni. He liked it! I got a diet coke :) For an app we split a pizza not knowing we also get bread as a starter (carboload!!!) The bread was warm and yummy the pizza was DELISH! For our main entrees we got the penne ricotta with sausage, fire roasts tomatoes and basil and the chicken parmesan. Both were amazing as we did a little sharing :) We were too stuffed for desert but we will surely be back!!

Yelp
I've been back to Razzo's multiple times since my prior review. I love that the food and service has been consistently great each time. A friendly greeting when you arrive, prompt seating, and servers who are kind and attentive. The food portions are quite large. I'm in love with Chicken Marsala and that tends to be my "go to"order. It is large with 2 tender chicken breast smothered in Marsala sauce along with a side bowl of pasta. I can always take half of it home. On this last visit, I brought my Dad who was craving spaghetti and meatballs. The serving was very large and he was looking forward to having some the next day at home. He enjoyed the flavor of the spaghetti along with a glass of Zinfandel which made for a lovely dinner. We sat in a booth which allows you to feel cozy from the surrounding area of the restaurant. I still wish that Razzo's gave some history of the old firehouse building (possibly on the menu). A write up with images would be so nice. I was telling my Dad about the old firehouse and it is certainly would be nice to have something at the table as a nod to the old history of the building.

Yelp
Our server Christa was absolutely amazing! Her suggestions were great. We loved the food! I will definitely visit again next time I'm in town.

Diana S.

Yelp
My friends had been to Razzo's previously but this was my first visit and I really enjoyed it. There is warm delicious bread and our entrees were great. We wrapped up with the cannoli and the Tiramisu. We love dessert! It was all so delicious and the service was excellent!! Enjoy!

Yelp
We used to like this place but the last few times the food tasted bland, less food on the plate, bread was not fresh, and prices much higher. Not planning to return to $95.00 dinner for two without appetizers, desserts, or alcoholic beverages. Ridiculous!

Yelp
Was finally able to come to their new location, the last time I had been to Razzo was back in when they were in OV. It was a group of 5 of us and we all ordered different dishes to share family style as that is how we roll lol. We got the Roasted Beet salad, Fried Mozzarella, Fried Calamari, Pepperoni pizza, Meat Lasagna, Penne a la Vodka w/Shrimp, Pappardelle w/Sausage & Peas, New York Strip. Everything was so good! Service was awesome. We ended up closing the place down.

Yelp
Love this place! Razzo serves up fresh classic Italian American favorites in an old repurposed firehouse. This place is super comforting, from the big bowls of pasta to the spectacular and personable staff. Found Razzo on accident one day after getting a flat tire needing a place to wait for a repair. I can tell you that my day was turned completely around and I left full and happy. They gained a customer for life that day! I can't stress enough how great the food is and how well you'll be treated by the amazing staff here. Pro tip: there is an unlisted kids menu. They can do kids sized portions of pasta with butter, marinara, or Alfredo sauce.

Yelp
Great food, service and great atmosphere. We were there for a business trip & highly recommend.

Yelp
Incredible food with very friendly and speedy service. The space was very cozy and inviting.

Yelp
It's been a year time for another review!! This establishment has got customer service down pat!!! They know how to accommodate a group. Again I was there with a group this time a little smaller I believe there was 7 of us. Let's start with the fresh bread!! Who can't resist a nice fresh warm piece of bread? Not this girl that's for sure three pieces later! Moving on I stay with what I know and love fettuccine Alfredo with pappardelle pasta added chicken to the dish. So good, lots of garlic! The serving size was healthy. Made for a great lunch the next day!! Thank you Razzo for maintaining your consistency!! Food is yummy and I promise I won't wait a year to come back!! Highly recommend you give Razzo a try!!

Chris P.

Yelp
My wife made a last minute decision to go out and we went to Razzo's. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was really good - the chicken Marsala wasn't heavy but nicely seasoned and the chicken was done perfectly. Penne ricotta stole the show though. Great service, casual upscale place- it's going in the rotation.

Yelp
While I previously posted 4 stars for the interesting remodeled fire station atmosphere and friendly service, after visiting this location 5 times, the positive qualities don't outweigh the subpar food quality - especially for the prices. I do not recommend the pizza, it is consistently low-mid quality. I don't have pictures of other items, but the roasted garlic appetizer is a joke for what they give you. They included about three olives chopped up into little pieces with about a spoon worth of cheese, along with a couple little pickled items. (compare to what a competitor Fellinis has as their equivalent bruschetta appetizer). I've been here with friends, my mother, and two dates, each time I was embarrassed that I recommended the place as they received their entrees. My last date ordered the vegetable lasagna and couldn't get past a couple bites. A heap of asparagus smothered in a flood of tomato sauce. The bread that they sometimes provide is okay, although I didn't get it the last time I was there. The best part is probably the waitstaff. They are always friendly. May be a good place to come out for a drink - although the well cocktails are also very overpriced. Sorry but unless they make some major improvements to the quality and quantity of their food options, I think I'm done with this place and will stop recommending it.

Yelp
I've only visited Razzo once, nearly two years ago, but my experience with them was a positive one. My mom and I visited the Little Creek location on a Saturday evening, 3/6/21. Razzo's current location (they moved from OV & used to occupy the building which is now operated by Karla's Beach House) used to be a Norfolk Fire Station (NFD moved into a new building across the street). I like what Razzo did with the interior - it has a rustic look and feel... and it felt comfy. We didn't make reservations, but we were seated quickly (we lucked out). Razzo was still in social distancing mode, so our table was right up against the bar. Initial table greet was fairly quick and our server was attentive, friendly and informative. We shared an order of calamari for an appetizer, which was cooked perfectly and had the right amount of crunch on the outside without it being rubbery inside. For our entrees, mom had the Veal Francese (lemon, capers, white wine & cracked pepper with pasta), which she enjoyed. I went a different route - I had a New York strip with a side of marinara penne. My strip was cooked to a perfect mid-rare - delicious and filling. Having both steak & pasta, I couldn't finish it all - but that meant leftovers! I had a great time at Razzo and look forward to dining here again. Thank you, Razzo! JV

Yelp
Great service and good as always. I got the Meat Lasagna again, so good and just not ground beef. Wife got the Grilled Chicken Alfredo with a side of steamed spinach and garlic. Better be a garlic lover for that one. Split a bottle of wine and a Tiramisu togo. If you haven't tried y'all should. Opens at 5.

Yelp
AMAZING FOOD!! I came here with my boyfriend tonight for dinner. He got fettuccine alfredo with chicken and I got fettuccine alfredo without protein. We both agreed it was the best alfredo we've ever tasted. He also said the chicken in the dish was delicious. We were also welcomed with warm bread which was fresh baked and absolutely delicious. The fettuccine alfredo has such an amazing flavor and it is super garlicky which I love. I dipped the bread in the alfredo sauce and it was amazing!! Service was good and our waters were always full. It was $57 for two bowls of alfredo, one with protein one without. $57 is pretty pricey for 2 bowls of pasta but the quality makes it well worth it. Best pasta place around we will be returning!

Yelp
My husband brought me to Razzo for my first experience two weeks ago for a date night. This wonderful restaurant is housed in a former fire station and we loved it. After taking our drink order, they brought out a small loaf of fresh in house made bread with butter which was so very tasty. I would visit this restaurant just for the bread. We ordered an appetizer called Roasted Garlic ($15) which had two large cloves of roasted garlic, several different peppers, olives, peppers, sun dried tomatoes and warm goat cheese. Wow, this was an amazing and flavorful treat for our tastebuds. I highly recommend ordering this even if you don't order anything else...it's that delicioso! For our entrees, we ordered the Grilled Tuna with Asparagus ($28) and we ordered the Meat Lasagna ($23). We made a slight mistake and ordered the tuna medium....less cooked would have been awesome. It was still tasty but had we ordered it differently, we would have really loved it. The Meat Lasagna is a huge portion covered in marinara sauce. This is really large enough to share or to have leftovers for another meal. I loved the first several bites but I have to say that I feel like the sauce overpowered the taste of the meats and cheeses. The sauce is really tasty, but next time, I will order the sauce on the side. I love Lasagna and this was a really good one. We ordered a glass of Chianti ($8), a red Zinfandel ($9) and a beer called El Guapo ($6). The wines were really good, the beer was ok and I'm glad I tried it and I don't need to again. It's fun to try new beers and how could I pass up one called El Guapo! Our total bill fir all of this was barely over $100. I loved this restaurant and highly recommend if you are visiting Norfolk or working on the Naval Base as it's nearby. Our server was Sara and she was friendly and welcoming. She was as attentive as we wanted and needed.

Yelp
This is a nice little Italian place to eat at in Norfolk. I lived in Italy for 6 years and am a very hard judge of Italian food and this passes as a good place. For an appetizer I got the asparagus with prosciutto. The asparagus could have been cut better, the ends were very hard and should have been cut off. For the main I got the veal Parmesan and it was delicious. For dessert I ordered the cannoli and it was perfect! The cream filling consistency was correct and well-balanced. The servers were polite and had good conversations with us. They also didn't hold us to their house rules which was respectful. Definitely going back!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food! Service top notch! We went on a Saturday night at 7:30 - chicken parmigiana, Alfredo and calamari perfect! Will definitely be back to try the pizza
google avatar

Sarena G.

Yelp
Definitely a fun little place to go and have a nice dinner. I have yet to try the pizza, but I've heard great things about it. I have been here multiple times now and my favorite dish is the parpadelle with sausage and peas. :) Last night I asked them to add tomatoes and it was even better. The flavor was slightly less strong than the last time I had this dish. But I added some lemon juice from my lemon and made it way more delicious. The server was quick to help and straight to the point. I appreciated that. The wine was good. They have a decently extensive list. I love the relaxing and quiet ambiance. It wasn't busy and we got right in and sat down. I do not think they accept reservations.
google avatar

Yelp
AMAZING FOOD! 10/10 would recommend! Great ambiance, server was amazing, and the bread is to die for

Kerry S.

Yelp
Second time at Razzo this evening and it was just as delicious as it was the first time! The aesthetic is SO cute and the staff is so sweet, I can not recommend this enough.

Chris T.

Yelp
Traveled from Hampton for dinner and was so worth it. We had the prosciutto and asparagus and fried shrimp appetizers which were both so good. My wife got the caprese salad and I got rigatoni and meatballs. All was very good. Will be a weekly visit for us!
google avatar

Joyce P.

Yelp
I really love this place, especially since it's within walking distance from my house. I would give it 5 stars, but I just really don't care for their pizza. I'll try it one more time - maybe they were having an off night. The fennel app is hands down my favorite thing on the menu. The shrimp app is also delicious. I'd be happy coming in for just those two items and some wine for a light dinner. I love their bolognase, and it really makes their lasagna stand out. Portions are huge, and I always have leftovers for lunch the next day.
google avatar

Lea D.

Yelp
The food was excellent and the service was on point we never had to ask for anything. The ambiance was very cozy and allowed you to relax and enjoy the company and the food.

Andy B.

Yelp
Razzo is an odd place and it is difficult to rate it. Is the food good? Yes, the food is great. Is the service good? Service is always friendly and timely. Is the restaurant nice? It's wonderful in an old fire house. So, what's the problem? First, the parking is completely inadequate. And, this is not an area with abundant neighborhood parking. Second, they don't take reservations so if you plan to go at dinner time and they are busy (and you find a parking spot) you are probably in for a long wait, especially if you have a party of more than 4 people. Last, they don't do third party delivery. So, to get their food you really need to plan in advance. Lots of people arrive at 5 pm to make sure they can park and get a table.

Rob -.

Yelp
Service was not great. Felt rushed the entire time. Server grabbed a beer bottle that still had beer in it i had to flag her down in order to stop her. Not happy when I came here for a celebration.
google avatar

Brett M.

Yelp
Another amazing meal here. Wait staff is always great, super helpful with menu items if you don't know what you want. Very modern industrial interior. It's unique and deserves a visit.
google avatar

Frank D. H.

Yelp
We were there during their first week. Unfortunately we were there due to a death in the family. As a family we were from Ohio, North Carolina, and California, but X-New Yorkers all. The food was excellent! The menu extensive and we had everything from Chicken Marsala, Chicken with lemon sauce, Pizza to deserts! Incredible! Like eating in the best neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Staten Island. Matt was awesome. The staff caring and completely up to the task. Our waitress Teresa (I love you) was knowledgeable to the max. Now, if only Matt would open up a restaurant in San Diego
google avatar

Jenny R.

Yelp
I'm not guna lie, the food here is delicious. But if your looking for something that won't break your bank this place might not be it. I've been here twice now and so far everything has been good, just not the food prices. Definitely a great place to go though if your looking for a fancy dinner or maybe an anniversary/bday dinner :)

Yelp
I found this place on Yelp, and there were a few lower ratings... it it looked like they were from another Resturaunt (same chain) at different location. This is an old firehouse across the street from the current Norfolk Fire Station 12. They even still have the old pole up for all to see in the middle of the restaurant. Atmosphere 10/10 Service 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10 Food. Came out with 3 slices of homemade bread... amazing. I really wanted more... but I WAY blew my carb count for the day. I ordered the pizza with pepperoni, and mozzarella. I was informed this was not sticks but a large price of cheese with sauce. It came out the size or bigger than the side of a burger patty. Very good Bread 9.9999999999999/10 Pizza 9.89/10 Mozzarella 9/10 The pizza did not get a 10 out of 10 because I have traveled the word have had pizza everywhere. Best pizza of my life: Landstuhl, Germany #1 Ramstein, Germany #2 Sicily, Italy #3 Razzo (today) #4 Pizza was a brick oven, light and crispy crust with homemade Peperoni. Long Story Short, Great Place for Great Italian food.

Yelp
YUMMO!!!! Soooo good! We were a party of seven and everyone really enjoyed their dinner. Its hard to please everyone but Razzo managed to do just that. It's an interesting place and more casual than I anticipated. The service was excellent! The food was excellent! The portions are huge!! If you're a person who likes big portions this place is for you. At first I was put off by the prices. I think Fettuccine Alfredo with no meat in it should be under $20.00 not over. It's only a little fettuccine with some butter, cream and parmesan. The ingredients are not expensive. But, after eating delicious Chicken Francese and having enough to bring home for a second meal I no longer think it's over priced. We will definitely go back.
google avatar

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
We like Razzo very much! We've been twice now, and the food has been excellent. Pasta dishes have been decadent, and the roast garlic appetizer has become a favorite! Drinks have also been quite good. Service has been rushed at times but friendly and attentive. Love the location in the historic fire house. Prices are a little high, relative to some other upper tier restaurants in the area. But the quality is worth it, and not having to go downtown is a bonus. Strongly recommended.
google avatar

Cres T.

Yelp
Finally, I have been wanting to try this place for years, but the wait is over. I came here with friends for dinner. I called the restaurant ahead of time to ensure that we got the table. I got there quite early before the opened and thankfully decided to do it because the parking was already packed. Customers are already lined up. We we're greeted the staff with warm smiles upon entering the restaurant. I like the cozy and welcoming vibes of the entire place. I was super excited to eat and didn't waste time, so I ordered antipasti and salad as soon as we got seated. I ordered the calamari, caprese, and house salad to start with and followed with vegetable lasagna and penne a la vodka for entree and tiramisu to finish the meal. I was pleased with everything that I ordered. It was delicious, light, and flavorful. I can tell that all the ingredients they use are fresh, and it's evident because every dish speaks by itself. It was indeed worth the wait. I can't wait to be back.
google avatar

K B.

Yelp
I have always been a fan of Razzo but stopped going to the location in Ocean View due to the inconsistent quality of the food. I was excited for them to open in their new spot aland wanted to support them during quarantine by ordering takeout. I ordered stuffed eggplant and portions were ridiculously small and three entrees that didn't even fill up a standard dinner plate cost about $60. I was so disappointed, I may go elsewhere for Italian from now on.

Lexi R.

Yelp
We've been coming back regularly since my previous review. Consistently good! Food is still the same, same menu (nothing has changed in years) but always delicious, plenty of seating, and good service. Wish the prices were the same, but hey, it's still a treat! Everything is good but I keep going back to my favorite veal saltimbocca. Oh, and ladies... bring a sweater. My husband thinks it feels good but I come prepared with a warm scarf and sweater, winter or summer! At least it's consistent!
google avatar

Taylor G.

Yelp
Everything I've tried so far has been amazing. Chicken Francese is so good and light. I also tried the goat cheese and beat salad and added grilled chicken and it was amazing. Clams were great, Caesar salad was great too. Haven't had anything I haven't liked yet. Great service and it's pretty fast which is great as I like to go on my dinner breaks and sit at the bar.
google avatar

Sue D.

Yelp
I have been here 3 times and tonight I had a pizza. I didn't like it at all. The crust was hard and stale. There was barely any sauce on the dough and no Parmesan or pecorino to give the pizza a zesty taste. There was no taste at all! I gave the pizza two stars because there was a fair amount of toppings on it and I suppose there was some effort given to it. If I go again I will never order another pizza.
google avatar

Kelli G.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite date night spots. I could come here and just get the roasted garlic and be happy as can be. I recommend asking for extra toasties. We always seem to have a lot of the fixings left over so I started asking for a few more and it works perfectly. I've had a few different items here. The lasagna, the Alfredo, the vodka sauce are a few. The only one I wasn't totally sold on was the vodka sauce (but I have a pretty gnarly homemade recipe so I might be biased). Honestly... just get the roasted garlic. I swear you won't regret it .
google avatar

Christine G.

Yelp
Ordered take out and it was FABULOUS! Sometimes take out (especially pasta) you feel you don't get enough, it's not hot, or just not as good as a "real bowl".. this was not the case! I ordered the Pappardelle with sausage and peas.. so good! Definitely will be getting that next time!
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
Can't say enough good things about this food! The Chicken Marsala was TO DIE FOR! My husband and I devoured it in minutes haha. The spaghetti and meatballs was very good as well, the meatballs are absolutely massive! We definitely got the Italian fix we were looking for tonight. On top of the food being incredible, the curbside service was impeccable. The food was also ready so quickly which was amazing given there were multiple cars waiting for food! Adorable restaurant, fantastic staff, incredible food! I highly recommend checking it out if you're a pasta lover!

Susan G.

Yelp
It was my first time at Razzo's new location. They don't take reservations so we went early. We all had a lovely meal and the food was delicious. Our server was personable and very friendly and attentive. It's a little dark inside but it was cozy.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
We have enjoyed both inperson and takeout meals. A lively and busy place, the servers are great and attentive. As a GF diner, it's always great to find a good Italian place that offers decent GF pasta. If you don't love garlic, ask them to go light on it!
google avatar

Sabrina K.

Yelp
Definitely a pricey dinner. To go order is picked up in the back, there is a back door. I got the chicken Francese and their lasagna. I was craving lasagna so I was pretty excited to try their meat lasagna. I am not sure if the meat was salty or their Marinara sauce was but the entire dish was wayyyyyy too salty. My Togo order only came with a small amount of bread so I was trying to eat it with the bread but it was borderline not edible. I ended up throwing away half of it to be honest The chicken francese was WAY better, the sauce was very good: the combination of lemon, capers, cheese, and whatever else is in there was just so on point. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Chicken was very good too, soft, juicy- perfectly seasoned. Definitely a heavy dish, but can't complain about that in a pasta place.

Donna J.

Yelp
I love Razzo. I have hosted Meetup's here before but they recently put a message on their phone that they will not seat parties of 8 or more. Disappointing because I always have a group that wants to go.
google avatar

Ess E.

Yelp
Service was ok. She looked like she was tolerating us. I did not see her smile even once. No apologies for showing up to our table 15 mins late! I'm really not sure who's giving this food 5 stars. Mediocre at best. I probably would have liked it better if I hadn't waited 1.25 hour for my food to come out. Anyway, definitely not worth the glowing reviews. I'd rather eat at Popeyes across the street.
google avatar

Yelp
An Italian-American standard, and I mean that in the best way. Like a Frank Sinatra ballad (which we heard while dining), it is comfortable, familiar, and outstanding. I waited way too long to give Razzo a try. A look at the menu online, shows a solid listing of the familiar Italian-American classic dishes, nothing out of the ordinary, which is probably what gave me pause. However, everything we ordered was outstanding. I figured eggplant parm was a good dish to evaluate a new (to me) Italian place. It was prepared perfectly. The eggplant was cut lengthwise and thin, and lightly-breaded, while fried wonderfully crispy on the outside, with just the right amount of tasty sauce, and topped with the perfect amount of fresh, melted mozzarella. Also excellent the pappadelle pasta with sausage and peas in a cream sauce. We started with the roasted garlic appetizer, which was also a great choice. We got two whole bulbs of perfectly roasted garlic, along with warm olives, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, and pepperonata. It was served with thin, toasted bread slice. It was a perfect start to the meal. The restaurant itself is cozy and beautiful at the same time. It is located in a renovated old firehouse (the new one is right across the street). The decor is interesting and romantic, even incorporating the old fire pole. The service was also attentive and friendly. Radio is definitely recommended, I will be returning.
