Coming from New England, I have a high standard for seafood and this place delivered. Good bread service with warm rolls and butter. The mussels were good but would have liked some butter to dip them with. Seafood tower was great aside from the crab Louie which we weren’t a big fan of. Just go straight for the oysters and shrimp if you decide to. All entrees were great: Walleye, Stuffed Lobster, Lobster Tails, and Crab Cakes. Would come back again. Our server was great too, thanks Scout!!!

Real Seafood Company is a pretty good nicer restaurant! The restaurant is nice and the service was excellent! The food itself is pretty good. I ordered the Jambalaya and it was good - it wasn’t incredible, but it was really good. When I factor in the price, it makes for a pretty good experience! It’s a more pricey restaurant so that always causes me to have higher expectations for the food since it’s costing me more. Overall, really good experience and a great choice for seafood!

This place has been an Ann Arbor Staple for well over 35 years. They have a lovely staff who are very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The drinks are frosty and the service is impeccable. The food comes out fast and in good order with your happiness on the cross hairs. They treated my friends and me like VIP’s and gave us a dessert to share because a few late ordered dishes took a little more time than expected. They made sure the delay didn’t go unnoticed even though we didn’t and were very accommodating. The bar was very cozy and made happy hour possible because it is not available on the main floor. I’m sure with the high standards they have kept in motion all this time they will be here in another 35 years. Thank you Real Seafood and Main Street Ventures;).

fantastic establishment and grateful for a family gathering or date night. I personally like going here when I don’t have to pay the bill or when I only have to pay a portion of it very knowledgeable staff very friendly people as well.. They calamari is probably some of the best hat in Ann Arbor And their drinks were also excellent and contain pretty well put together flavor profiles

I loved the food, second time visiting here! The only thing I noticed is that many dishes have mushrooms in them, a lot of people have allergies like myself. I had to improvise and the waiter was kind enough to arrange a dish I was craving but without the mushrooms, I had the stuffed salmon dish only my salmon was not stuffed because the stuffing had mushrooms in it already. Still enjoyed it.

Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My wife and I celebrated our fifth anniversary here, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Our waitress, Scout, was absolutely amazing—so kind and attentive. She even surprised us with a complimentary plate of strawberries and blueberries, beautifully decorated with chocolate sauce that said “Happy Anniversary.” It was such a thoughtful touch! The bartender, Alexis, was a tequila expert and helped me find some incredible tequila drinks. She really knew her stuff and made the experience fun and unique. I even got to meet Joe, the general manager, who was fantastic. He took the time to chat, answer my tequila questions, and even gave me his business card for future recommendations. On top of the outstanding service, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was perfect for a special night out. I truly couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate with my beautiful wife. We’ll definitely be back!

I want to love Real Seafood Co, but they make it really difficult to. We went for an appetizer and light dinner last night. It was a beautiful Friday evening, so we sat on the patio. It was not busy. After ordering, our appetizer (oysters) came out quickly, but we decided to wait on our wine because typically one orders wine to enjoy with their food. We waited, and waited, and waited (at least 30 min). After finally flagging down a server, she said it would be right out. All of the ice around the oysters had melted and they attempted to serve our entree before we had even started on the appetizer (because we wanted to enjoy it with our wine). The server then asked, “what do you want me to do?”. We had her take the entree back. Eventually we did get our wine, but then the oysters had pieces of broken shell in them and our reserved entree was cold. Obviously just set aside while we ate the appetizers and certainly not worth the price tag. The server gave us a line about how the bartender had to get a new bottle from the basement, but my husband went to the restroom in the mean time and the bartender was sitting down, not busy. Of course, nothing was compensated. Real Seafood Co is over, find somewhere else to eat.

Real Seafood Company is a consistently good restaurant. I have been there a handful of times over as many years, and they repeatably provide the same level of food and service. The last time I was there the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed, so it took a little while to get our orders, but when the food arrives it is always well prepared if sometimes a little under salted. The restaurant itself is rather dim towards the back and noise is managed pretty well. You're definitely able to have a conversation without straining to hear.
