Unfortunately this one was a huge letdown.
We came in on a busy night which as expected impacted the service experience but at this price point it should have been better.
Our waiter was friendly enough but obviously overworked.
One app came fairly quickly and was finished by my date 15 mins before mine arrived. Which was soup, obviously something already prepared the clam chowder was delicious though.
Not egregious but telling.
Too be fair my entree was not seafood however , I was advised it was a great option , my date had the surf and turf special.
While service was slower than hoped for the food did make it to the table and it was immediately obvious it has been sitting under a heat lamp.
The beef medallions were dry, over cooke and lacked any seasoning, it cried out for salt even a pinch of flaked finishing salt could have helped. the crab cakes were dense dry and barely warm .
The chicken piccata was rough.
The plate it self was dirty , not a single person in expo checked it as it had an interesting color stain that
didn’t match my dish.
The chicken was sliced so thin and then charred that it was essentially jerky. Again no seasoning. Flakes of burnt not charred chicken were set to the wayside.
While the fish proteins looked fresh , the poultry wreaked of Gordon’s food or Cisco brands food delivery. Similar to the fries , frozen and bagged.
While. or the most expensive restaurant in Ann Arbor this was a special night type place.
Unfortunately there was really nothing special here to report.
can’t recommend.
