The Best Wine Bars in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"There’s a lot going on any given week at Really Really Nice Wines, the natural wine bar opened by Darrin Ylisto and Miriam Matasar in June 2023. Sip on one of their seven wines by the glass, rotated weekly, while picking out a bottle and stumble upon an array of opportunities, like cheese pairing classes, fashion pop-ups, tarot readings, and book signings. It also hosts some of the best mobile kitchens in town, partnering wine pours with oysters, dim sum, sushi, lobster rolls, and more. Now open daily." - Clair Lorell

The Best Frozen Cocktails and Drinks in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"This multi-layered natural wine shop on Magazine is near-endless in its varied offerings, from pop-ups to wine pairing classes to book signings. Yet another surprise is the shop’s Frorangé, a frozen orange wine cocktail that is the ultimate summer sipper. It’s a less-sweet hot-weather option for wine drinkers who couldn’t otherwise fathom straying from their vino." - Beth D’Addono

Love this place! It’s SO cute inside. And the staff is wicked nice and very knowledgeable. Delicious wines. Will definitely be back!

Google
It’s a nice wine spot and convenient place to pop in while in the area. It seems more geared to grabbing a bottle and perhaps some snacks. The wine by the glass list had about 10 options and they were priced well for the quality. The afternoon was quiet, though in the evening it was very packed.

Top tier natural wine bar + store. If you aren’t sure if natural wine is your thing, tastings happen on Thursdays and are a great way to learn what you like and what you might learn to like. We’re always here and it’s always a double thumbs up vibe. The rotating wines keep things fresh and interesting and the service always makes you feel welcome. Note it’s not a huge place, so keep that in mind if you have a big group. While they have a fantastic food program, they regularly have delicious food pop ups so check their instagram for when those are. The store section has an amazing selection along with non-wine goodies. That said, be sure to get the Lady Nellie oysters. Best raw gulf coast oysters we’ve ever had (and you gotta pair with cheese)

More than a fresh coat of paint… Really really nice wines is breath of fresh air into a storied space. A great selection, music, and friendly company from the staff all add up to an evening ripe for memories. 10/10 would go again P.S. the playlist is on their website

Wine was kind of mediocre, food was worse. They gave us a warning about ordering the “everything board” to make sure everyone at the table was hungry. It took entirely too long, the sardines tasted like they were left in the sun this afternoon, & it really was medium sized at best. Go somewhere else.

A great neighborhood spot for friends, family or a date night. The lovely husband and wife team make all food I house and boy is it tasty! Pictured is the chicken liver mousse. We also had a plate with sun-dried tomato and artichokes. If we lived here, it would definitely be frequented often, if not our neighborhood spot. Well crafted and selected wines.

Google
Very nice place with relaxed atmosphere, a great selection of wines by the glass and a very well stocked wine shop in the back. Very nice and knowledgeable sommelier at the bar who very kindly gave us great tips of places to go to whilst in New Orleans, including Patois which we went to that same evening and loved!

Google
They have a very strange pricing system, where the price written on the BOTTLE is the price per GLASS. I've never come across this practice in California, New York, Europe, Asia, or elsewhere. If you're going to charge a lot for wine in New Orleans (Tell Me, Patron Saint are other examples) at least be upfront about your prices. I get it, it's an expensive neighborhood and you need to charge us exorbitant prices to help you pay rent.

Yelp
Lovely wine bar with a modern twist. It's dimly lit and still has a classy old timey feel to it. We shared a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc: smooth crisp and very refreshing. We weren't that hungry but ordered the 3 item charcuterie board with chicken liver mousse, and two cheeses. The liver was spectacular: covered in a thin layer of coagulated fat, it's creamy and flavorful. The liver had an interesting umami flavor that reminded me of chicken adobo - garlicky, shoyu, and slightly tangy. Very very good. The bartender was also nice - polite and informative. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Really really nice wines is an awesome addition to the neighborhood on Magazine Street. This was my first time experiencing this beautiful wine shop and bar and was pleasantly surprised. When I walked in, they had all the specialty wine menu on the board with a huge variety from various countries. It was sorted by type of wine and also region. I went straight for the bubbles and it was a great option. We also ordered the custom charcuterie board from the menu as well as the select olives. Yummy! Wow how awesome was this, they also make some of their cheese and meats in the house which I was so impressed with. Very cool vibe. I would definitely recommend checking it out . The service was great, and the bartender definitely provided personalized service and assisted with her favorite selections/recommendations from the menu. Those of you from New Orleans, this was the old Martin wine cellar location on magazine Street.

Yelp
Just like the name of this wine bar implies, they serve really really nice wines. I'm a fan of Spanish and Portuguese wines and was delighted to see their offerings in the back in their market area. They also have small snacks available.

Yelp
A true hidden gem! The service was exceptional, with polite and welcoming staff who made me feel right at home. The ambiance was cool and dark lit, creating a sophisticated yet cozy atmosphere. The highlight of my experience was the fantastic pairings of food and cheese, which complemented the extensive wine selection perfectly. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or simply looking for a relaxing evening, "Really Really Nice Wines" is a must-visit hole in the wall destination for its welcoming service, cozy but cute ambiance, and charming space.
