"Revolution Axe Throwing is opening in Everett’s “fermentation district,” near two breweries, a distillery, a trampoline park, and a climbing center. June will be an interesting month in Everett, to be sure: Wynn Resorts’ Encore Boston Harbor casino opens on June 23, adding more than 10 casino restaurants and bars to the city of Everett and snatching up thousands of workers from Boston’s already too-small hospitality pool. Then, on June 26, Everett gets its own ax-throwing bar, Revolution Axe Throwing, one of several such venues to bust into Massachusetts in the last year." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Went with a couple of friends. It was a great experience overall. The staff was super friendly, warm and patient. We were new to the activity and the instructor was very kind and patient to teach us everything from scratch. How to go about it, safety procedures and also gave tailored suggestions to each one of us based on our throwing style. They have a very nice collection of beverages. Would very highly recommend this place for a fun activity near Boston.

Google
Some of the most fun you can have in the Boston area. Our coach was super helpful in teaching us how to throw, keeping things fun and energetic, and giving us lots of time to throw. I wasn't very good at it, but had such a fun time!

Google
Had an absolute blast, check in process was simple and straightforward. All the staff we encountered were a pleasure to deal with. Galacy was our coach and we couldn't have asked for better. He is engaging, informative, and fun. If you can, get Galaxy as your coach. Lastly, great local beer selection.

Went here with a group of 5. Had tons of fun, they had a great beer selection. I do think the session was a little too structured but overall a fun experience that I would do again

I was part of a group of three who went axe throwing on a Saturday right as Revolution Axe Throwing opened. Their online reservation system is easy and efficient to sign up and sign the electronic waiver. Arriving at their facility there is plenty of parking, even with other businesses in the same area. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the process. There is a bar with an extensive selection of beer, cider, and non-alcoholic options. Our instructor was Sam, whose energy was infectious and all of her observations and tips were invaluable. Our hour was well spent learning the techniques for two handed and one handed throwing, and then the competition was a blast! After we completed the contest, Sam even taught us how to throw the axe underhanded. The winner gets to sign the bar, and although none of us landed a Clutch throw, if one of us had, you get the privilege of signing your axe. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will definitely be back again. We all highly recommend this activity for anyone looking to learn the art of axe throwing.

Google
All things considered in this time of covid. They did an exceptional job. Felt very safe and clean. They were very good at reminding everybody about the rules. Very understanding and polite. Will def be going again.

Google
Bullseye! Rev Axe has it all: great venue, great coaches (ours was Olivia who modified my “technique” and had me throwing (mostly) bullseyes within minutes), great beer (Nightshift), great vibe. They even ordered in pizza for us! Definitely will return on next trip to Boston.

Google
Great staff and coaches, they did a fantastic job accommodating a company function. The venue is a fantastic setup. Very good for entry level and experienced axe throwers. We were able to bring in our own food, additionally, the beer selection was top notch.

Yelp
Recently visited for a first date and had such an amazing time! Our coach was amazing!!! (I'm horrible with names but he had a bunch of anime tattoos) he was extremely knowledgeable about axe throwing, came over to my date and I just the right amount, asked us questions to help break the ice, and also hyped both of us up! It was a wonderful experience, I look forward to coming back with friends (and if he sees this review we're going on a second date!) Thank you for a great night appreciate it!!

Yelp
Getting around to the back of the industry park at night can be a little creepy but they had signs all over to get you to the parking lot! First off, we had set up a reservation online, walked in and got set up by the front staff and was assigned to have Caitlin be our amazing coach. She was incredible! We learned so much and our party of 4 got to experience the time of our life on a cold Friday night in Boston. Want to warm up? The bar is pretty fantastic. Some of the coolest and most interesting drinks available -- like pina colada in a can. What?! It slapped. Overall, the vibes inside were fun and energetic. Each lane has people screaming in joy and excitement -- I was so into it. We will definitely be coming back, and I am super interested in the women's axe league! Haha. Even on our way out, the warmth was awesome; amazing staff. Thanks for an amazing time!

Yelp
Great instructions, cheerful staff, safe, and a decent selection of beers. It's quirky on the route there as there's a warehouse nextdoor. Worth just going alone

Lauren J.

Yelp
This place was super fun! My boss made a reservation for some coworkers, so we had 2 lanes set aside. You sign your life away at the front desk (or in advance) before they let you in. I totally get it - axes and booze. They want to make sure they're covered! Lol We had a tab open at the bar and I got a can (or two...) of rose. We had outside food delivered and set up for us, which was nice to be able to do. We ate and chatted for a while and then our two Revolution helpers called us up to give us a safety briefing. After the safety chat, we all got to go up in pairs and test out throwing 2-handed. After everyone had gone, we got to try 1-handed throwing. The staff (I wish I remembered their names) were super helpful and friendly. I heard from two of my coworkers who had been there previously that their previous helpers were less fun. Anyway - I guess we lucked out, because our 2 guys were super funny and encouraging. We did a placement round and then a bracket round. I sucked, but it was still a lot of fun. I would totally organize an event here. And yes - they have real axes. I was picturing fake axes with suction cups or something because... sharp edges and booze, but it's the real deal. Be careful out there and you'll have a grand ol' time!

Yelp
Came in while we were staying at the hostel near by. Super Clean and fun environment we got a great coach. Javier was 5 *. Came in just before the club night but we were not rushed at all. Awesome beer selection and we watched some super good throwers. All the other groups around us seemed to be having a blast. Cheers y'all

Katie W.

Yelp
We came here as a school team for an all-staff teambuilder. They were awesome from Inital e-mail outreach (clear and easy to schedule) through the event. Our team had a ton of fun, I would for sure go here again with a group of friends or as a school team. Thanks all!

Jennie S.

Yelp
I've been twice now. Our coaches are fun and knowledgeable to help us improve our throws. I have not other axe throwing experiences to compare this to, but we will be back for sure.

Elise S.

Yelp
Great company outing! Booked this from Houston, TX for my team in Boston (Seaport area). Chester was extremely helpful in getting things completed via email when I ran into a small hiccup w/ the website. Team loved it enough I suggested it for another team going a week later and they loved as well! pro tip: get pizza delivered while you're there! They sell alcohol but not food. Pizza, beer, and axe throwing... what could be better?!

Darren H.

Yelp
Absolutely great place to spend a few hours with friends, throwing axes and having a few drinks. It's very safe thanks to a dedicated trainer per group, and it's a blast whether you can hit the target or not! Revolution Axe has a great facility, well-kept lanes, a great beer and wine selection, and a chill vibe. It's in an up and coming part of Everett with a nearby brewery, rock climbing center, and indoor skydiving facility. You can walk-in, but best to make a reservation in advance if it's during peak hours. My wife and I both hit bulls eyes, so we're very satisfied!

Deedee M.

Yelp
Came here for a date night, and our first time axe throwing. COVID protocols were followed so the experience was what it was for that. Pretty cool that they offer ales and beer to drink. Our instructor was really cool and she didn't make us feel like the novices we were. I would definitely come back, and hopefully spend more time axe throwing than talking.

Catherine X.

Yelp
I give them 5 stars because the staff are all so enthusiastic and encouraging. They make damn sure that you have fun! They also encourage a little competition and trash talk, which is always nice. It was my boyfriend's and my first time axe throwing, and I honestly sucked at first until Paul continuously helped me improve my stance and rotation. They help facilitate games between you and your friends as well to keep things interesting. Would love to come here again!

Derek C.

Yelp
Great Place to have a great time with friends !! There team is great !! Keep Score and teach you along the way to ensure you are having a great time. Josh was great !! Highly Recommended

Peta S.

Yelp
This was so much fun. Our coach was great. She figured out what axes would work for us, where to stand distance wise from the target and other tips to get us actually hitting the target and the ax sticking in. The games were fun also. They have a nice selection of beverages and snacks. Ask for the lady with the purple hair, she's great!

Emily D.

Yelp
Came here with a group from work and had a blast! The staff were so accommodating and friendly, and our instructor John was beyond helpful. He really made the experience above and beyond what I had expected. 10/10 would come here again for some axe throwing and cider

Rome C.

Yelp
They operated very nicely about Covid procedures during the summer time when I went this year. The instructor I had was very fun and great. I think everyone should definitely try this at least once.

Diana N.

Yelp
Revolution Axe Throwing is exactly what you need: beer, axes, and a coach to make sure you're safe and having a great time. It does sound a bit counter intuitive and unsafe to combine axe throwing and beer, but Revolution has trained coaches to help make sure that you're comfortable with what you're doing and also go out of their way to provide advice as to how to improve. Whether you want to rally a bunch of friends or go with colleagues for a team building activity, I would highly recommend coming to Revolution Axe Throwing to experience it!

Caroline Y.

Yelp
Great instructors, friendly staff, excellent beer selection and good music. We had a mixed group in terms of gender and ages (ages 23 to 68). We ordered grub hub and were able to have a pizza, drink local IPAs and have a great time. Axe throwing is all about having a good attitude and having fun with friends. I have T. rex arms (really weak and small) and with proper coaching got many bullseyes. Highly recommended! Don't forget to wear closed toe shoes.

Dil S.

Yelp
Wonderful spot. Reasonably priced, great beer selection and most importantly - engaged, patient and energetic staff. Will be back.

Joe T.

Yelp
Party made a reservation in advance. Arrived early to check in with waivers signed. Employee at check in informed us that the additional individual with us who did not want to play still had to sign a waiver to be inside the building. This person who did not want to play did not have identification on them to complete a waiver. The employee would not allow this person inside the building despite the fact the rule/email/waiver states that ONLY participants need to sign a waiver. The employee then refused to give us our deposit back and became extremely rude and hostile. I have never met a more hostile and rude employee. The member of our party who was not a participant and just wanted to sit and watch was crushed and felt like she ruined the evening for everyone else. At the very least we should've been given our deposit back. We will not be returning.

Nosaj R.

Yelp
First time here. Parking was a bit sketchy. Definitely fun. Instructor was cool and helped us stay safe and learm how to throw. Definitely not as easy as it looks but, will definitely do it again.

Anjali H.

Yelp
The staff is extremely rude and doesn't know how to speak to guests!!! The person who attended us at the reception used F*** on me when I just took my mask off for 1 second to get pictures. Apparently they allow getting off masks at the table when you're drinking and buying their drinks but if you are 1 inch away from ypur table and get mask off they have a problem!! Ofcourse it's pandemic And I shouldn't have take off mask for a second but again there is a way to ask. He also snatched the market from my hand when I went to sign on their table instead of asking me politely to get it back!! Extremely rude staff, never going again!!

Sarah M.

Yelp
this is without a doubt my favorite place ever. it felt like such an intimidating thing at first but the atmosphere in there is SO welcoming. ive gone twice now and both of the coaches my group had were absolutely amazing. they let you do your own thing, but they also give you advice and teach you how to do it the right way. long story short, if youre looking to go axe throwing, this is 1000% the place to go! plan on going back many more times!!

Vanessa D.

Yelp
Great place, super friendly workers. Great to have drinks with your friends and throw some axes !

Chris C.

Yelp
Really fun and unique experience. Very well organized from start to finish. Also, got paired with a great coach. Would 100% recommend.

Jacqueline P.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I visited this past Saturday and had a wonderful experience! Paul was a great instructor and make the experience enjoyable, he definitely knows his stuff!! They also have a great selection of alcoholic beverages to enjoy when playing and a great place for groups! We look forward to attending again!! Such a fun concept

Andrea B.

Yelp
A group of friends and I went after hearing they reopened following the pandemic. It did not disappoint! Our coach, Chester, was fun and charismatic. We are looking forward to scheduling another event and a couple of us are considering joining their next league. The "cons" would be they only serve beer and wine, no liquor license. I would have liked to know that prior to booking, but not a huge deal. They also do not have ice which is odd. It was pretty hot in the facility. They don't have AC but have a large ceiling fan (barely moving) and a floor unit that kicks out some air. Dress appropriately! It was hot and humid inside. Prepare to sweat.

Sarah R.

Yelp
We went for a group outing on 3/8 and everyone was amazing. Sam at the front desk, Sarah at the bar and John our coach made the game so fun for us! We absolutely loved it.

Bella D.

Yelp
SO much fun! The staff is amazing - knowledgeable, caring, patient and fun. The venue is super clean, open and well organized. Highly recommend going to try once with friends but ESPECIALLY recommend signing up for a weekly league and making all kinds of new friends and having a blast. 5 stars for sure!

Eric K.

Yelp
What a great time! Work party for 10 people and I believe all were happy. The staff is superb. Easily the best axe throwing instructors I've come across. Professional and fun! Enjoyable environment. Highly recommend!!! I bought a t-shirt it was so good.

Caryl H.

Yelp
So kind and helpfu! It was a ton of fun, other throwers welcomed the newbe and I felt very proud when I started being able to stick the target and get good scores. FUN!!

Joanie M.

Yelp
Coach was friendly and helpful, showed us a couple of ways to throw and even organise games for us! Highly recommended!

Carol C.

Yelp
I've been asking, as a gift to me, to go Axe Throwing together! My two sons and daughters-in-law gave this gift to me for Mother's Day! It was SO great! We went yesterday, and it was so much fun! There was a small issue about our reservation when we first arrived, but it was quickly resolved. Our coach, Austin, was the best! Gave tips and adjustments to improve our form and release. He interacted with each of us, was funny, patient and overall a great coach, and a nice guy!

Pat S.

Yelp
What a fun staff revaxe has! Greg was a great coach and really knew how to get everyone involved. We had a blast and loved the area, there's a brewery right around the corner and some awesome food nearby!

Gabriela P.

Yelp
Who knew throwing axes would be so fun, the coaches there are the ones that make the experiences even more fun!

megan r.

Yelp
This was so fun! We were able to walk right in and start throwing axes! Our coach was great and everyone at Revolution was super friendly. This was such a fun way to spend an afternoon! We'll be back soon!

Anne D.

Yelp
This was a fantastic experience. I brought my boyfriend there for his birthday and the instructor was very thorough and knowledgeable. He helped both of us correct small details to help us hit the target. I def want to come back here with a group.

Monica M.

Yelp
We had a great time at Revolution! The facility was clean, beer selection was on point, and the guys were super helpful. Some of us were new and others had thrown before, but Jack was awesome about making sure we all knew what we were doing. Highly recommend!

Caroline C.

Yelp
We held a company party for 15 people on Saturday night and we had a blast! The staff (particularly Greg) were exceptional in helping with the reservation and working with us as the group size continuously changed! They even made a trophy for us to award to the winner of the tournament! The instructors (Jack and I forget the other guy's name) were so helpful and patient and fun! I think we'll be back again as a company and definitely know most people will be returning again on their own. Thanks for a great experience!!!

Nick K.

Yelp
Really great staff made it an awesome time for our group! Good drinks selection and close to Night Shift and other breweries. Would definitely recommend for a company outing or birthday party.

Alex F.

Yelp
Great experience! Stuff members are knowledgeable and supportive. Good for group events, team building... Everyone in our group really enjoyed it.
