"Set right along the Pacific Coast Highway inside an old brick building with Spanish roots, this new Spanish restaurant — Rebelión — is nearing its opening after a complete overhaul of the former Tavern 1 Grill and Tap House; I observed more light inside, worn floor tile, exposed beams, hanging bulbs, and abundant greenery. While homes across the highway block easy ocean views, the sun and surf are still very close at hand.
