Rebelion Casual Spanish Fare Comes to Malibu By Way of Former Top Chef | Eater LA
"Set right along the Pacific Coast Highway inside an old brick building with Spanish roots, this new Spanish restaurant — Rebelión — is nearing its opening after a complete overhaul of the former Tavern 1 Grill and Tap House; I observed more light inside, worn floor tile, exposed beams, hanging bulbs, and abundant greenery. While homes across the highway block easy ocean views, the sun and surf are still very close at hand. Run by the Cascabel team led by Top Chef Season 5 contestant Alex Eusebio, the Spanish-infused menu includes simple starters like pan con tomate, traditional dishes such as paella, and Spanish wines to match; the team says the interior design and menu ideation are essentially finished and an opening could come as soon as the next week or the next couple of weeks." - Farley Elliott
We came here on our first night in Buenos Aires while walking around in Palermo. It caught our eye because of the aesthetics of the place, nice patio, great branding and charming lights. We weren’t disappointed, we had the Milanese and chicken with a few sides and some wine. Classic meal and would definitely go back

Super beautiful atmosphere and very attentive staff. The chacra salad was fresh but I was missing a little bit of dressing. The meat that my boyfriend ordered was 10/10.

Grilled chicken was tender and still relatively juicy. The sweet potato was good. The chacra salad was a pretty big bowl of vegetables with some avocado and pulled chicken which was decent.

Nice place for drinks - nada más. Atmosphere is a 9/10, drinks 5/10, and food is 3/10. The happy hour drinks are so-so, and our food came way overcooked and under-seasoned. The staff was lovely, however, and the vibes were good.

Beautiful outdoor seating in the sidewalk and we had a great salad and sandwich! Highly recommend the Classico and the rebel bowl is great for a veggie choice. The mint lemonade was also super tasty.

The one word to describe our experience, fresh! The lemonade drinks were so light and refreshing. The croissant with ham and cheese could easily be split between two. The cafe con Leche was delicious. Everything was perfect during our brunch including a carefree and breezy ambience.
