This is a diamond in the ruff. Rec Philly is the best place to be if you’re a creative. If you love music and are looking for a place in philly with a good vibe as well as talent this is the place to be. It’s an artist amusement park. Become a member. It’s a great choice.

REC Philly... where should I begin? I've known of REC Philly for a few years now through a few different avenues. Their growth alone in this short span (although the workload for them I'm sure doesn't seem so "short") is truly impeccable. The space they have created for creatives to create, connect, engage and become equipped is beautiful. And then now to have this 10,000 square foot space in a newly renovated mall in the center of Philadelphia is mind blowing. *tips hat If you've been to anything REC related, the staff is always energetic and excited to see you. It's like Chick Fil A meets your favorite cousins interaction when they see you at a family function. You just get hype and feel so loved and are so excited to reflect on what's passed, live in the moment and still dream about the future. This is just due to their staff. They are very informed and hip to what's going on and how to get you on your journey to the next level, no matter your "level". That part is important. This isn't a space for some top tier level creative. It's for every person, in every field, in every phase of your journey as a creative. Their facility is beautiful. It's laced with an awesome storefront carrying products from everyday people like you and I (so go buy) and giving them the opportunity to sell in a mall. The amount of people who will see their products alone is tremendous for any creative. You can also grab some coffee and a healthy, yet still tasty snack. (We know sometimes "healthy" and "tasty" don't always collide, but here it does.) Once you pass through those doors, to step into the "heaven for creatives", this is where the magic happens. A space filled with rooms that can change your life, and at the very least inspire and motivate you to get off your butt and into your passions. The space is beautiful and fully equipped making it a dream for anyone looking to do anything. I can go on, but just come check it out. Lastly, I've never met any of the REC members that didn't want to collaborate. You know how rare that is? Excuse me, let me correct myself - you know how rare that was? REC has created a space where the thing you need is connected to a relationship and that person is here. Anyway, that's all. I lied, congrats to Will, to Dave, and to the entire staff at REC. You're all amazing.

This is my favorite work space. If you're a independent creative type you'll love it here. They give you the tools needed to succeed. The staff is cool too.

I have been a member here for nearly two years now and have been associated with the organization for about 6 years. Excellent place for people beginning their journeys. The one thing that I love the most is the price point for the value that you receive. There's always room for self improvement, I would say that this is a place to figure out what it is that is for yourself.

Google
one of the most dynamic spaces for creatives of all ages and disciplines to collaborate and work on their projects. provides 4 recording studios, a photo studio, dance studio, podcast studio, design studio, editing rooms, a live room, medium sized stage for performances, a kitchen, and a common area, all furnished and designed to extrapolate creativity and community. been with these guys since 2018 and to see their humble beginnings turn into a fruitful business is amazing to witness and be part of

Yelp
This place is ran by two jealous hearted individuals. After using space as a member once these clowns noticed my turnout they purposely scheduled the same space on my regular timeslot just to disrupt my flow. They claimed staff meetings yet when the the time came for those so called meetings the space was empty . Then to top it off They changed the pricing of membership by making it higher in the middle of my prior agreement period without notice and blocked me from future bookings until I agreed with the new terms. Very shady disingenuous business practices .Stay away from Dave and Will these two con-artist !!!!!

Yelp
If you are or love a creative in the Philadelphia area this is a MUST HAVE membership. The simplest way to describe REC Philly, is to say it's for creatives what a gym is to athletes. Located in Philly's fashion district, the large space has room for filming, recording, photography, podcasts, and even live performances. As amazing as the location, I think the true value is in the sense of community among other creatives. The membership's credit system makes using various studios and equipment super simple. Sly, was an amazing tour guide and gave so much insight and REC Philly's back story, I was already sold but it was great to hear his passion and commitment. I love the hours of 10am to 10pm to accommodate schedules and that members have exclusive access to courses and events. Still not sold, schedule a tour of the facility and purchase, William Tyrone Toms' (REC Philly's co-owner), (UN)common Sense, it's a great blue print for those looking to get paid while having creative freedom.
