Their staff is super nice, with a big smile on their faces. I would love to come here again and again.

This location has the options to dine in or take out. When you dine in there’s a lot of seating to sit in for such a cozy little spot. But it would be very hard to bring a wheele car into this cafe. The food was really good and the drinks were lukewarm when we got them because the staff were chatting so much they had gone cold by the time we were serviced them.

I had a tasty cortado and friends had flat whites they said were very good. I had the peanut broccoli bowl with some chicken and it was delicious. Others had pesto chicken sandwich which was also satisfying. Tara our server was very friendly and helpful. An overall good time. Now they just need to source some Bird Friendly coffee and they’ll be set.

Wasn’t very impressed. It was very busy, so it’s understandable that the servers might have been a little more curt than usual, but service was still lacking overall. The cappuccino was good, but at over $5.00 CAD, I was expecting more than “good.” Moreover, the clientele who were there weren’t very friendly (and highly spatially impaired), which also deterred from the experience.

Excellent coffee and baked goods. The breakfast sandwich was kind of small for the price, but the baked goods were fairly priced. Atmosphere was great and we spent a while here relaxing.

Receiver Cafe is an absolute gem! The cozy atmosphere, paired with friendly and attentive staff, creates the perfect spot for a relaxing coffee break or casual meal. The menu is diverse, offering a range of delicious options, from fresh pastries to hearty brunch items, all made with quality ingredients. The coffee is exceptional—rich, smooth, and expertly brewed. The cafe’s warm and inviting vibe makes it a fantastic place to catch up with friends, work, or simply enjoy a moment of peace. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or just in the mood for a delicious bite, Receiver Cafe never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Best breakfast sandwich ever. Recommend asking to use focaccia bread instead.

Google
The best coffee in PEI. We have had an opportunity to visit this location as well as their location at Confederation Landing. We've been blown away by the service and friendliness of the staff, and even more impressed by the coffee and tea. Spoke with one of the staff members, indicated that their main roast at the time was from the Honduras. We keep coming back because it is delicious. They also have a variety of freshly baked breads, including sourdough, you can take home. Daily food specials and desserts, and love that there's an option for a sangria or mimosa. Great stop and will keep coming back.

Yelp
Absolutely adore Receiver's coffee, food, and service! Since I moved to PEI, it has been the perfect gathering place to take visiting family & friends, as well as meeting new faces and friends! It is a hot spot for both locals and tourist alike, a community of coffee lovers and warm smiles. With 3 main locations in Charlottetown there is always something for everyone. This was my first time at the Milky Way Location as it's further out of town and boy it did NOT disappoint! Went with a friend for an early Saturday morning breakfast and catch up and the bright airy space of this spot was lovely. It is the main roastery and bakery so lots of buzz. It was great to see the people and crowd slowly make their way to get some Saturday caffeine and grub. All the locations sell amazing sourdough and baked items, and today they had an amazing chocolate cheesecake croissant. While the food is similar across locations, they all feature some twists and different weekly specials.... And this is what really got us in to Milky Way this week.... The Biscoff waffles were WOWOWOWOOWOW I want these AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!! LOADED with thick chocolate, fresh whipped cream, and cinnamon biscoff cookie bites.. these were a DREAM!!! Fresh, delightful food and staff! Certainly gets busy at times so be patient and enjoy the visit!

Yelp
Fantastic bacon! The eggs were perfect, we loved the crunchy hash browns, and the toast was crispy. If you eat in, they will decorate your lattes with a sweet decoration. One of the best breakfasts my wife and I have enjoyed on the road. We initially joined the line to the cash register, but were invited to sit down at a table where our order was taken and delivered after a short time. We loved the servers and coffee roaster's black "uniforms." Everyone was very nice.

Yelp
Any time I go back to the Island, Receiver on Richmond St. is always part of my itinerary - for superb coffee, good vibe, and great munchies.
