First time eating here. We had apple filled French toast and Spanish omelette and both were delicious and we are to last byte. We got sourdough bread which was $1 more (wasn’t informed!) which didn’t worth the extra dollar. We sat outside which was good. Inside Decor is not very inviting and look a bit cheap chairs, table covers etc. Prices were very reasonable. Service was good but a bit on slow and relax side. I would go for Food again.

Google
We waited for about 40 mins only to get our food!. If the restaurant is understaffed it’s understandable. But they should let us know in advance. We dint even order anything that was complicated, just omelets and a french toast. Some delay is ok but 40 mins for only food + 20 mins for our coffees. When you order a coffee do not expect a fancy latte.

Google
Recipes Restaurant located in Rochester Hills is five stars. The people are welcoming and wonderful. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. The menu is varied and food excellent. We are fortunate to have this option in our area.

Google
Recipes in Rochester Hills is an absolute hit for brunch lovers. The tuna croissant is nothing short of unbelievable—perfectly flaky, with a rich and flavorful tuna filling that left me craving more. The spinach and sprouts omelet is equally impressive, brimming with fresh mushrooms, and is the ultimate breakfast man’s dream. Every bite is a testament to the care and quality that goes into their food. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Recipes for a brunch experience you won’t forget.

Food was pretty good...Eggs were on the rubbery side but service was great (thanks Xam!).

Edit: Updating the rating as I was impressed by the owners response. I will most certainly be coming back now this weekend to enjoy another meal Went here on Mother's Day for a first time visit with the family. While I thought the food was actually quite excellent, it took well over an hour and twenty minutes to come out and get served to our table. I understand that it was Mother's Day and there might have been staff shortages in the kitchen as the waitresses were very apologetic. They gave us a free appetizer and even took 15 bucks off each family members bill to compensate for the wait. I would like to try this place again and give it another shot simply because I liked the food so much. I will update my review accordingly

Google
Absolutely adored it in here the food was chef kisses! The waitress was so sweet she had them make me a special pancake for my birthday it was truly a great experience and I’d highly recommend them

Google
Great place. Godd coffee. Mouthwatering food, everything I've eaten here is delicious. Beautiful decor. There is free on-site parking. The restaurant has a policy of 20% of gratitud already included in the receipt, but it's worth it for the great service. Friendly faces. Kids menu. I love hot apple cider!!! It is exquisite 👌 😍 ✨️ ❤️

Yelp
We were looking for a dog friendly restaurant that had breakfast options and when we googled the Rochester area, this sounded like a good option with all the many menu items to choose from. We did call ahead of time to make sure that we actually could bring a dog and they said yes they had a patio area outside and the dog was welcome to come there and when we mentioned we were going to come around noon the waitress said that no reservation was necessary and we could just show up I got the Sante Fe Hash which is a vegan item on their menu and my son got the chuck wagon and that is a version of steak and eggs, and we both enjoyed our meals very much. There was a bit of a wait for the patio area as they weren't expecting the people to stay as long as they did, but once we got seated, service was excellent and the atmosphere was great and I would definitely go back here again

Yelp
The first time we came here, everything was awesome. The second time, i took my family here on Father's Day and boy was it a 180. We got there right when they opened at 8am and our food wasn't brought to us until 8:50. We ordered 2 omelettes and pancakes so it was actually concerning how long it took. When we got our food the pancakes were cold and hash browns were barely cooked. Service was an absolute train wreck. We had to ask for side plates for the blackberry biscuits and then she brought us 2 dinner plates with our actual meal for no reason. She also handed my husband the bill ON FATHERS DAY- how comical! Then, somebody else had to cash us out. Further, a couple that came in nearly 15 minutes after us left before we did which was even more concerning. We won't be back.

Yelp
I love the location in Troy. Tried the Rochester location today. The menu is great here and prices are reasonable. They have such interesting menu items. We love the blackberry biscuits and Asian options, especially the Pan-Asian Noodle. If you're thinking breakfast, the skillet options are diverse and filling. The wait was pretty long today, 35 minutes to get our food after ordering. It wasn't busy in there on a weekday lunch. I would go back to the Troy location next time, I think the staff is much friendlier and things move faster there.

Yelp
I love the Troy location, so I was so glad to hear about their Rochester location! This restaurant is significantly bigger but still has the same homey feel and delicious food. Same amazing menu and attentive staff. This time I got the tuna croissant. Very generous portion and not too heavy. I love their French fries and ranch! Definitely would order again. They have a parking lot in the back and it's off the Main Street so it's not too crowded. This location has a liquor license, so they serve mimosas, Bloody Mary, etc.

Yelp
Had an awesome brunch at Recipes! The spinach and sprouts omelet was huge and delicious, and I swapped the sprouts for crispy French fries--so good! The Vietnamese iced coffee was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, with friendly service that made me feel right at home. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Cute breakfast spot with a Troy and Rochester location. I've been here maybe three times and this is a review of the visits. Five stars for free parking in a lot behind. Three stars for service. It's never been stellar. Five stars for having one vegan item on the menu. It's a tofu scramble with vegan sausage. The gross part is they leave the plastic casing on the sausage. You're supposed to remove it before cooking. So every time I order this I have to pick off the casing. Second gross thing is the guacamole on all of our plates was brown. Not fresh. I told myself it was frozen and tried to eat it. Not appetizing at all. Lastly, if you order the vegan dish you will get butter on the toast that comes with it. No thought from the servers or chefs to ask or remove it. The food is three stars. You can make a better scramble at home. The juice is not fresh and the grapefruit is neon pink. They do have a liquor license for mimosas if you're interested.

Yelp
I had a great time at Recipes for brunch with friends and will definitely be back! Our group arrived at 12:30 for brunch on a Sunday and had no wait. All the staff were really friendly and happy to answer menu questions. The Santa Fe vegan hash skillet was delicious. It was nice to enjoy brunch somewhere out where you can also hear each other talk and not be interrupted by crowds of people screaming for bottomless mimosas. There is plenty of parking in the back but a few street spots are available in front but fill quickly so plan to park behind. There are a couple of front porch tables for outdoor dining with small groups. Diverse menu from omelettes to sandwiches, good food and great family-friendly place for breakfast and brunch.

Yelp
I enjoyed our girls brunch at Recipes when friends and I all met to catch up this summer! It was the perfect place to go and have a conversation. I feel other local brunch places are loud and close quarters. At Recipes, the tables are spread out enough that you're comfortable and can relax. We started with mimosas, I had the pink lemonade mimosa, and it was more champagne than lemonade. Depending your preference you can decide if that is a pro or con, ha! I ordered the buttermilk pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. The waitress asked "thats the stuffed strawberry french toast?" (A special at the time.) I clarified that, no, its the pancakes and I'm adding the strawberries and whipped cream. She seemed she got it and went to put our orders in. Everyone at the table received their order and I waited maybe 5 extra minutes, no big deal, until the food runner brings me out the stuffed french toast. I catch him and explain that this was incorrect and he took it back, clarified my order again, and said he would be back. The waitress had not been back to our table yet, and about 15 or so minutes later I'm finally served what I ordered. Then maybe 5 minutes after that the waitress comes back and says something to the effect that she was sorry for the mix up and she had told them to make what I ordered and does not know how they still did it wrong. My table was mostly done with their food when I got to start, even though they tried to wait, but it was around 1:30 at this point and we had all been waiting for our brunch date to eat. Overall, the food was good but the pancakes were nothing super special. I would really like to come back to Recipes in Rochester to try something else on the menu and have a (hopefully) different experience that is maybe more true to how a normal visit is. I do recommend them, the rest of the table was very satisfied, so I will be back!

Yelp
To say I was underwhelmed here would be an understatement. This place presents itself as a nicer breakfast joint, which to some degree it is, but I left feeling disappointed after my breakfast here this morning. Walking in, the place is spacious and well decorated. Lots of seating and plenty of staff wandering about. I got seated at a 4 top and reviewed the menu for a bit while waiting for my server. On average, most of the food here runs about $15 give or take a dollar, which I had anticipated since I've been to their Troy location. I went with their Wild Bill omelet which they offer as one of their weekend specials. The problem was mostly service here while I dined in. Service was slow and non existent, which really affected my experience here. There was plenty of staff lingering about, but it seemed that only two of them were really working-and I use the word working since I was mostly ignored most of the time here. Anyway, my server never came over and I ended up having the hostess step in to take my order after waiting quite a while. After my food came out it looked and tasted really good, but not for $15. I would pay closer to $10 for this meal if it were up to me. It's far better than coney island any day, but not as good as other food that I've had at the same price point, easily. The final straw was at the end when I was waiting for my bill and a box for leftovers. At this point, my waitress spent more time hiding than actually helping. All the other servers were still standing around and I wanted to grab one of them to get more water and see if I could leave, but they ignored me as well. After standing up, it looks like they were ignoring most of the others in the restaurant as well. Eventually I found what looked like a manager and told her I needed to cash out and would like to leave. She took my cash with the bill and placed it on the counter, then leaving. Nice. Shortly thereafter my server eventually cashed me out and I got to finally leave. I know it's post pandemic at this point but this place doesn't appear to be short staffed, at least from this visit. Mostly they were standing around doing whatever. Food here's good, but not enough for me to really return in the future. Thanks Recipes, you really let me down. Get it together.

Yelp
The menu is physically gigantic, that is why there are so many pictures. Beautiful restaurant on university between paint creek and main; there were only a few parties inside and the place felt even bigger than it is. We had very attentive wait staff and the whole setting was really nice. The food is just average though. At least the things that we ordered were. I got the Spanish omelette and my daughter got chocolate chip pancakes. The pancakes were weirdly flaky and dry, definitely not up to par with some of the places we've tried over the last few weeks. My omelette wasn't bad by any means. There was chorizo inside, it just was not seasoned it felt like. You don't get very much salsa with it. I'm sure I could've asked for more, just making an observation. I would come back for sure, but personally I will keep my expectations a bit lower.

Yelp
I was having lunch today at Recipes when I walked in I noticed at the comer table a small dog on a leach. I was surprised that the restaurant allowed the dog inside the restaurant. I proceeded to my table where my friend was already setting. She informed me she overheard the dog owner saying it was her service dog which I was surprised since there was no markings that I could see on the dog's collar. The next thing the dog was upon the table walking around. If this dog was a service dog definitely not that well behaved. For someone who usually eats at Recipes 2-3 times a month I think I will reconsider next time where I eat

Yelp
Great breakfast / brunch spot. The food is well prepared. The service is wonderful. The noise level is low enough to have a conversation.

Yelp
First time brunching in Rochester downtown, this Recipes seems to be a lovely addition to the location. Love that on top of their already extensive menu, they have seasonal specials for you to enjoy. Visiting from Europe, I'm just going around to get my English muffin fix, so definitely went with that. The hash and the omelette were both done perfectly and was plenty of food. The chai tea latte I got also hit the spot, creamy, warm and just the right amount of sweet.

Yelp
Very lovely and homey brunch spot. I really like the omelettes here! The fries are my favorite. Super crunchy and crisp. Service was friendly

Yelp
Good, inventive breakfast food. Friendly service. Right downtown, so you can have breakfast & enjoy a shopping day in Rochester.

Yelp
This is our favorite breakfast/lunch place! Service is always great. I love the outside tables when it's nice out. This time I tried the Cowboy Benedict and my wife had the Bandito. So, so good.

Yelp
We had brunch here on a random summer Sunday. We didn't have any reservations, but walked right it at 915am. When you get here, you'll find that the parking is in back, but the host station is up front. Our food was excellent, especially the cinnamon French toast and our omlette. I recommend ordering the Recipe special which has eggs and French toast or pancakes along with a protein and potato. I also ordered a Bloody Mary that was excellent. The service was great, I liked the ambiance and there is plenty of seating for a variety of occasions. Overall, great experience and we will be back here again.

Amy S.

Yelp
Food was great! Prices are reasonable and our service was good. The ambiance/atmosphere inside isn't anything special.

Yelp
Yummy! We came for Mother's Day and it couldn't have been better! The staff is very kind. The food was really good!!! It felt clean and fresh! It was not like other places where your potatoes are soaked in oil. They did have an hour wait. Thankfully we were seated sooner. Very nice atmosphere! Would recommend and would come again!

Taylor H.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing service, and it's quiet enough to hear one another and the music!! I've been to many brunch spots downtown, recipes is by the best experience I've had.
google avatar

Bea S.

Yelp
Food and service were very good. Restaurant was sweltering hot. We asked the waitress if she could have manager adjust A/C and she said the manager absolutely forbids it. It was so hot we were sweating like at the gym and others around us were complaining as well.
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
I've been here twice and have had great experiences both times. I've ordered different menu items and drinks both times, all in which were wonderful. Ive has their Hummer sandwich (vegetarian) and I recently ordered their Thai salad and Bloody Maria. To be fair, I don't even like bloody Mary's but the bloody Maria has tequila instead of vodka. The taste was better and it was spicy. I probably wouldn't get it again since I liked the food in it more than the drink itself lol. The Thai salad was huge and delicious. I had enough for leftovers. The service is always great and the food is wonderful. I'll be back!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was good and came out quickly. The ambiance is surprisingly sophisticated. The outside does do the place justice.

Yelp
The food was very clean, fresh and delicious. My kids and I love it every time we go. Service was very fast and very friendly.

Yelp
We stop in here for breakfast quite a bit and it never disappoints. When the weather is nice we enjoy a walk on thr paint creek trail and breakfast/brunch here after. If you are lucky, snag a table outside in the patio...there's only a few! They have a fairly large menu with something for everyone. I like that for myself they have the option for egg whites as well as gluten free toasts. Their omelets are really good and if you're in the mood they make mimosas and cocktail as well.
google avatar

Lydia R.

Yelp
I've had brunch here several times over the past two year, and each time has been excellent. My last visit their was no exception. Our waitress was very attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. When she found out it was my birthday, she was so sweet to bring a birthday treat :) I wish I could remember her name to give her a shoutout! Their breakfast/brunch is top notch with lots of traditional and unique options. Love the ambiance as well, relaxed yet classy! I also really appreciate that they have their own free parking so you don't have to pay from parking on the street. All around great place to brunch!

Roberta I.

Yelp
They have amazing food, the service is okay. They have so many brunch options, I always go with my mom and she tries something new every time and every time she is satisfied with what she picked, they don't seem to miss
google avatar

Klorena S.

Yelp
A great place to gave a breakfast with your family or your friends. Cozy and beautiful. So clean so yummy food and i loved the decoration. But the service was so slow.
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
I thought everything was very good! Service was fast and super friendly. Tableside mimosas are a great deal if you're out with multiple people, but they did have a good drink menu as well. The menu is almost overwhelming with choices and unique options. I decided on the Benedictine omelette. Overall the combination of items was good, but the broccoli inside tasted frozen. My only complaint. Prices are totally fair and it's really cute inside. Makes you feel like you're dining high end but your wallet feels otherwise!
google avatar

Janice Y.

Yelp
A WARNING for others with celiac and gluten intolerance - be forewarned that they put their breakfast "spuds" in the deep fryer. If you ask to get the fruit (usually +$1.00) instead of the toast and potatoes as a GF alternative, the stone-faced manager/owner will tell you "unfortunately, you have to pay the up-charge". She is clearly either new to restaurant management/ownership or just isn't interested in establishing local "regulars" and doesn't wish to build a good reputation. I will be steering all my family, friends and coworkers in the Rochester Hills area to steer clear of this place. The only positive thing was our server, who was very attentive and helpful. Don't let the upscale interior of this new addition to downtown Rochester fool you. The bland food does not match their prices. Advice: Stick will the old established favorites in downtown Rochester like Downtown Cafe and Chomp!
google avatar

Justin B.

Yelp
Great brunch, had my first Q champagne We ordered pretty much all the entrees in a party of 15 and this has to be the best place to bring a family, friends or a corporate work party. The wait staff is excellent and the owner comes around and gives positive vibes to make sure your experience is pleasant.

J P.

Yelp
I never write a review but I need to add mine after reading the other reviews. Ordered the country Benedict. The meal consisted of: Gravy was out of a can, frozen chicken, frozen potatoes. I expect a restaurant to make their food. Not warm up stuff from a Gordon's bag. Total trash.

Yelp
My lovely wife and I got a rare opportunity to enjoy a lunch date. She wanted to try the new place in downtown Rochester called Recipes. I had seen the place in passing as they prepped to open but wasn't aware that they had. We called to make sure it was okay to come in at 2:30 pm when they had hours closing at 3:00 pm. No problem come on they said. We were there right on time, and surprised to see a full house. Apparently they got slammed at the last minute. So the house was packed and a bit noisy. The decor was really understated. Honestly it was plain and a bit boring. I think they could and should have done a better job (if you want to compete in downtown Rochester) but we weren't looking for interior decor, we needed food. Their menu leans towards breakfast and there seems to be lots of options. It was tough making choices. We led off with some drinks. My wife had a Mimosa - extremely sour - and I had some Sangria which was quite good. There was a strange thing going on with our waitresses. It seemed we had two, but they did well enough passing the baton back and forth and while the wait for the food was a bit long they were kind enough to bring out her fries early. They were good, almost like Checkers/Rallys but without the extra spice. But they weren't extraordinary. She ordered the Wild Bill omelet which was a special for the day and I had the Salmon BLT. The BLT was yummy with salmon, cream cheese, capers and a fried egg on top of normal BLT fixin's. The Wild Bill was just ok, it had some sort of heavy spice on it that made it difficult to enjoy. There's lots of other options we'd like to try but it was a bit pricey for what we got. I give it 3.5 stars that round to 4. Apparently there's another one of these restaurants in Troy too. Try em.

Yelp
Cute brunch cafe with amazing food. Highly recommend! Don't miss their fresh pancakes.

Yelp
Ambiance: 5/5. Much larger than expected from the exterior. Comfortable. Cleanliness: 3/5. Fairly clean except for the cobwebs and bugs on the window ledge (we were seated right in front of the window, so it was especially gross) Service: 3/5. Average- service was efficient but somewhat slow. Which is fine, but not when your food is cold. They didn't seem to care as they never asked how everything was. Price for quality: 2/5. $50 with tip for breakfast for 2 people. Food: Eggs Benedict: 3/5. Cold and mostly bland. Potatoes were great. Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast: 1/5. Cold. French toast had no flavor and was cold and stale. Side of Biscuits and Gravy: 3/5. Biscuit was weird and bland. Gravy was good with crispy bites of sausage, but again it was COLD. Coffee: 3/5. The coffee was the only hot item We were really disappointed as we were excited to try this restaurant.

Yelp
The start of this visit : I was seated immediately1:40pm however it took 7 minutes for a waitress to come to my table; after I asked who was my waitress. This was at 1:47pm. I was told it was "Shift change" they close at 3pm. Okayyyy The young lady took my order and then passed that information to my waitress. She ( wasn't given a name ) or did she write it on the table. Food came out. My omelet had no taste. Not one time during my meal did my waitress come over and ask if Everything was ok/ good. Until I was done and ready to go. I had to ask for my bill. Then I needed change in order to leave her a tip. ( which she really didn't deserve) I waited another 5 minutes before I just said fu*ck it and left. I've been coming here for a year. This is the first time that service was bad, plus my food being unenjoyable. Yet it will be my last.

Yelp
Our first visit but won't be our last! Went for my daughters 4th birthday on a Sunday at 9:30. We were seated right away and the host was very nice and waiter was SUPER friendly and attentive and came right over. We ordered a variety of things and all were great and very large portion sizes. Biscuits and gravy, kids choc chip Mickey pancakes, cinnamon swirl French toast, a couple skillets. Don't have a bad thing to say about any of them. And the Bloody Mary's were DELICIOUS. They even brought my daughter a yummy complimentary brownie sundae and personalized it for her. Highly recommend and we will for sure be going back.

Yelp
Recipes deserves five stars for excellent customer service, good price point, easy parking in a downtown, and nice atmosphere. My friend took me here for brunch on my birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt special. We had a complicated order, making multiple changes to the menu's description, and our waitress was very nice, not acting like we were an inconvenience. I ordered an egg white omelet with spinach and tomato, whole wheat toast, fruit and their 'hot granola'. My opinion was that the hot granola was too sweet, but my friend loved it so that is a matter of preference. The decor was very clean and they had beautiful artwork and chandeliers. There was even a baby shower going on in the back room while we were there. To top it off there is free parking behind the restaurant so it is easy to get in and out of. I will definitely be back. Thanks for taking good care of us!

Yelp
Went here because of a server's post about the event exclusive vegan menu they were trying out for the weekend. I've honestly skipped over this place many times, the name and logo never drew me in and I hadn't heard any mention of vegan items so I had no reason to really visit. That all changed the day I found their post though, they had a nice wide selection of vegan dishes they were testing. The only odd thing is that they still had a big piece of paper on all their doors that said "FALL HOURS", ending at 4pm and such. It's well into winter now, and the sign confused me at first because I read earlier that the place was open. I think it would've been better if they put a sign outside that said something like "Fire and Ice Exclusive Menu Jan 18-19 Only" or something, because I thought I must've been mistaken at first with the sign. The place was empty save for a family of four or five at a table. Guessing that's because this wasn't regular operating hours. The staff was super friendly! Marie was our waitress, knew how to write her name upside down which was impressive, and she was kind. Met the server (Micheal?) that pitched the vegan menu idea to the owners, he said it was the best place he's ever worked so that was cool. I really hope they do incorporate more vegan items into their menus, otherwise I can't really come back lol! I would also suggest they try using the sidewalk signs- both Chomp and Bean and Leaf have advertised their new vegan options with them and they have certainly worked on me and would work on others too. For dinner, I got this dish called the Bunh Mi, a vegan Vietnamese sandwich on a hoagie roll with sausage, mayo, pickled daikon & carrot, and other garnishes with French fries. The French fries tasted really fresh and nice, I picked the Bunh Mi because it was something I haven't really had before, so I can't say with certainty that it tasted best compared to other Bunh Mi's, but it was tasty! Someone later posted a picture of the Buddha Bowl and I wish I had gotten that as well, I hope they see the success a couple of accessible options could bring to them and make a spot on their regular menus, I heard they may be experimenting with vegan tofu scrambles, that should be fun!

Yelp
One of my favorite place to hang with friends! Coffees are great and foods are also excellent! Highly recommend :)

Yelp
This place is SO good! It has become my go to for brunch! It has a delicious mimosa selection & they're all tasty! I have been hooked on their chicken and waffles Benedict, it's a must try! You will not be disappointed, from the yummy food to the mimosas & the wait time is usually short or no wait at all!
google avatar

Chamara T.

Yelp
This place is a little piece of heaven here in Rochester. The mimosa were phenomenal considering that they had so many options of flavors and mixes. The atmosphere is eclectic and modern and sooo elegant. The food OMG the food was so good. I was curious when I saw they had some asian flavors to it and I was soooo pleased with the array of food selections as well as the booming flavors of each dish we had. Everything was perfectly cooked. I highly highly recommend this

Yelp
First time going here. Made a reservation and were seated early. The Service: was really good, multiple people addressed our 8 person table for food, drinks, refills, boxes. The Food: was really good! I had avocado toast with a poached egg. Was cooked correct and had great flavor. The Drinks: I had a bloody mary. That was well made, they used bacon/cheese/olive/pickle as the garnish. With a crushed beet rim dusting. Was interesting and good. An extra: my girl had her birthday and we were having a very low key get together, one of the staff notice that she had a present and asked if it was a birthday, to which 15min later they brought out a strawberry cheesecake french toast with a candle on it and a caramel happy birthday drizzle. Considering this was without asking I give them a bonus point for customer service! The Result: I would go here again and recommend it for Breakfast/brunch/lunch. The only minor critique which is why I cannot give 5 stars, is that they need to work on the decor. It seemed like a pop up for an office business luncheon vs an established restaurant. However this is a new location, so I'm sure they will start building the look out over time. Especially if they keep the great food and service. Overall, I'll be going back!

Went in for a late breakfast on a weekday, it wasn't busy at all. The staff was polite and the menu looks delicious. The prices are fair and the food presentation is great. I would definitely go again for brunch with friends.

Yelp
After having a confrontational episode with our over emotional waiter, named John. I can only give this a solid one. John came out to the table late, and was sort of a sub par waiter the entire time. The food that was served wasn't really that great either for the price, and the order for my girlfriend was wrong. She asked for eggs over hard, not easy. Naturally, after luke warm service and food for premium price I didn't tip well. John confronted me after and explained that the tip would barely cover his tip out. I took pity on him and shelled out and extra 2 dollars that he really didn't deserve, and then mentioned that we wouldn't be returning, John screamed that he, "doesn't want people who tip great here anyway" and slumped away like an ungrateful child, I told him to arrive at the table at a timely manner and he might receive a full tip, to which he responded with a gesture that closely resembled the finger, but I couldn't really make out what he was doing. If John approached us and apologized for his inconvenience of being late and asked if there was anything else he could do better next time, I would have been happy to up the tip because it shows maturity, and this review wouldn't exist. But sadly, since he was a complete manchild about it, here we are. I can't recommend anyone go eat there while he is currently working there.

Yelp
Went to lunch last Saturday. The place was quite empty compared to other restaurants. The waiter was very attentive but the food lacked flavor. Not planning to return but hope they up their game.

Yelp
Welcome to my new favorite restaurant. I love this place. I've been here 3 times now and the food is amazing. I've ordered the eggs Benedict, my husband ordered the pad Thai, my son got the cute Mickey pancakes. Every item was delicious. Today I wanted a chicken sandwich and I called to see if they had one. His answer was, "come on in and we will make you one!". Now that's service! And speaking of service, everyone there is so nice. You will most likely see the owner walking around asking how things are. He even took the time to talk to my 4 year old about his favorite Starwars characters! I recommend this place. The atmosphere is simple and welcoming. With simple roses on the table you feel like you're in a fancy place but the prices do not reflect that. My only complaint is that they are only open until 3. They also take reservations, so that's a plus. But the restaurant is big so most of the time that's not needed.

Yelp
Recently our group of 11 enjoyed a delicious breakfast together t Recipes in Rochester. The staff was very accommodating, but Laura our waitress was phenomenal. She was prompt, served and warmed up our coffees and teas several times, was courteous, gracious, and very friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves, the food was delicious, and Laura's efforts and willingness to take care of all requests with a smile really made the difference and enhanced our experience. We'll be back!

Yelp
Stopped in to recipes today to check out their brunch and it was amazing!! Our server Carly was super helpful and quick. I ordered their artichoke omelet. It came with balsamic on top, a side of spuds and wheat toast. Sooo good! They also have mimosas! Can't wait to come back :))
