The Best Restaurants in San Francisco’s Richmond District | Eater SF

"One of the main reasons to hit Red A Dim Sum for lunch may be the sheer accessibility and enormity of the dining space. Even packed, it seems there’s always plenty of room to enjoy light and golden sesame balls, paper bowls of wood ear mushroom, and the deliciously salty cucumber salad." - Paolo Bicchieri

A Customer Punched and Injured Workers at Pittsburg Bakery Starbread - Eater SF

"This bakery is set to close in mid-August as the owners plan to retire. Known for its egg tarts and Hawaiian barbecue items, it has been in business for 31 years. The birth of the owners' grandson served as a reason for their retirement." - Dianne de Guzman

Google
Well-sized dim sum, quality in the taste and bite. Har Gao, with water chestnut in filling — a nice textural touch. Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai, chunks of shrimp make for a nice crunch. Steamed Pork Buns, on the sweet side, but meaty with minimal fat.

Google
Great value and really good Hawaiian plate lunch. Had a bbq combo plate between two people and were both full after. Looking forward to coming back! Can’t wait to try the spam musubi next time, saw a guy order one extra crispy and he gave us a knowing nod.

Google
So good and so BIG. We gobbled these down. Dim sum itch scratched for the week. One star off for the fog of flies hovering in the dining area, which made us change our order from dine-in to takeout after brief consideration. If you don’t mind waiting a few minutes in mild discomfort, PERFECT. So yummy. One spam musubi not pictured.

The most delicious, perfect way to start the new year on New Year’s Day 2024 in San Francisco, California, is delicious, warm, mouthwatering shrimp won ton soup with giant dumplings at this restaurant named Red A Dim Sum.

Google
The Hamburgers here are not bad, they also had buns and serve Chinese food

Google
We got the pork cabbage bao from here. The bao was really good, filled with pork and crunchy cabbage. They also sell the baos in the freezer! They server hot dishes like wonton soup noodles, loco moco, spam musubi. Plenty of seating as well! Come here for a quick bite.

Google
Floor, tables are dirty. Flies everywhere. Steam dim sums are not hot enough. Wonton noodles are soggy. Wonton wraps are also soggy. The soup are tasteless. The soy sauce on the table are spoiled ( I don't know how long they have been using the same bottle without cleaning). Sorry, but will not recommend or come back again.

Google
I liked the food - it's not too heavy and they have a ready to go options. Took different dumplings - all are tasty

Yelp
This place did NOT look like much from the outside. I was running errands on clement and walked past this place. The menu items looked promising so I gave this Hawaiian barbecue/dim sum, place a try. I got a sandwich with Hawaiian bbq meat & it was FANTASTIC and didn't break the bank. Definitely 10/10 in flavor. My friend ordered their dim sum and was very pleased as well. The lady at the counter did a great job taking care of us! Thank you :)

Yelp
Hi Hugo, I reached out to Heidy and shared details of the food poisoning incident. Her text responses to me were: "So what can I do for you? When you come to buy the shrimp dumpling on Wednesday? Our dumplings are fresh everyday! Are you order online? So what do you want us to do now?" It would be helpful if she could investigate the incident and make sure this doesn't happen again.

Yelp
Red A Dim Sum was a 2.5 star experience. There was one person ordering ahead of me around noon on Sunday, and the restaurant was largely empty. I ordered shrimp har gow (thick skin, not enough filling), pork and shrimp siu mai (average), fresh shrimp cheong fun (warm, I liked the water chestnuts), a bbq pork bun (average), and sesame balls (cold and old oil aftertaste) for $20. The tables were a little sticky, but it was nice to have a place to site after browsing the farmers market a few blocks away. They take Apple Pay, which is convenient given the dim sum spots nearby are cash only (and what brought me to the location).

Yelp
We were heading up 19th Ave and got a little peckish but our go to Dim Sum bakery (you know the one) was closed. What to do?? We saw solid reviews for Red A which was just a block away so the decision was made. It was late in the day and they were empty and many items were sold out but the staff were super helpful and offered to make some new or similar items to make sure we were satisfied. Dumplings were tasty, prices were fair and portions were robust. Was it better than GLDS, maybe not but definitely a solid choice. Also supplemented with BBQ pork and roast duck from Clement BBQ across the street. Satisfying.

Yelp
I have often walked passed this place on my way to the other dim sum place. But they had a deal on Too Good To Go and a rating of 4.6. How bad could it be? Even if it was some sort of spam, maybe it would taste better than spam out of a can. Besides, it is a chance to try something, cheap. And if I didn't like it then I wasn't much out of pocket. Well we got siu Mei, 7 of them. Delicious. Then there were several slices of white stuff about 3 in by 3 inches. Have no clue what that is, but it was warm and soft and also good. Service was friendly. Without TGTG, I would probably have continued going to the place down the street. But now I have another alternative. Who knows, maybe I will try spam!

Yelp
I was surprised when I found another dim sum place that I liked within proximity distance on this stretch of Clement since I don't like any of the ones from across the street either because of service or sanitary reasons. Or both. I really hope I don't get disappointed again. The food from Red A seems to be mostly made to order. The wonton soup was tasty and one of my favs here. The sesame balls are also pretty good. I have never tried their "Hawaiian" menu but maybe I will do so one of these days. Ambiance is hole-in-the-wall but with ample seating so you can eat in. Service seems straightforward and good.

Yelp
I have no idea why the dim sum at this Hawaiian-Chinese hybrid restaurant is so great, but it is. Bouncy skin har gow, flavorful siu mai with chunks of meat and shrimp, turnip cakes with tons of turnip, generous sticky rice and filling in the tasty sesame balls--spot on in a way I haven't had in a long time (including at some SF casual hot spots). 5 stars mainly because I haven't seen this level of quality in a more casual dim sum eatery a long time. They were as expected out of their baked pork buns that they seem to be known for (along with some other things), so will have to come for them next time. Ambience and service a step above some similar spots. Kudos
google avatar

Anna N.

Yelp
3 orders of siu mai, 2 orders of har gow, 1 order of chicken feet, 1 order of xiao long bao, 1 order of pork ribs & rice, and 1 order of shrimp rice noodle rolls ($48.85) This was sooo good! The siu mai is our favorite, it was so flavorful. The skin of the har gow was nice and chewy. They sadly didn't have the red vinegar that goes with the xiao long bao and my boyfriend thought it was ok.

Yelp
Parking on Clement is a bit challenging but workable. As for Red A Dim Sum my order was a mix of Dim Sum items, Siu Mai , Fried Spring Rolls and Dumplings all of which were very well prepared and I'd happily order again. As for the staff they were friendly, and easy to communicate with , plus the shop was clean, not crowded. On future visits I would like to sample their Noodle Rolls & Hawaiian Plates.

Yelp
Usually I run in 5 minutes before closing and everything's sold out. So today I arrive early to have my heart's desire: Dim sum. Service was super friendly and dim sum was fresh with nicely thin wrappers. The shrimp was especially fresh. You'd have to be a vegetarian to say "no" to the beautiful pan of just-out-of-the-oven baked BBQ pork buns. I mean, look at them, perfection. Like a pillowy donut, the bao was fluffy, toothsome and sweet and stuffed with slightly fatty BBQ pork. It was the best ratio of bao/pork I've ever had in a city swimming with epic baked pork buns. These might be the very best. I'm ready to try loco moco, one of those dishes made for a rainy day. They have lots of different rice plates, soups and even congee. Lots of tables for dine in or grab 'n go. Prices are reasonable and quality is tops. I believe they accept debit cards.
google avatar

Rebekah T.

Yelp
Picked up some HUGE BBQ pork buns and Steamed Shrimp Dumplings for the office and they were so fluffy and tasty. The Holidays is a great time for office snacks and these ones were a winner. Since they were so big, we split them into halves, so everyone could try them. Some people have never had a pork bun before, so this was a great experience. We also got a couple orders of the Steamed Shrimp Dumplings as well. I would definitely come back for more dim sum to go!
google avatar

Glenn M.

Yelp
Five stars for value. Three dumplings for $3.60, almost across the board. They are ample and yummy. Plenty of tables to sit at, good light. And you get your soy sauce out of the fridge in a teapot. How cool is that?
google avatar

Yelp
A good place to grab a quick, cheap bite, Red A Dim Sum offers a lot of food options, ranging from Hamburgers to Wonton Soup. We opted for more of their Hawaiian BBQ options (BBQ Chicken Sandwich, BBQ Chicken Plate). I wouldn't say this place is somewhere to look for fine dining, great service, or a nice ambiance. However, if you want affordable food that is filling and comes in a generous amount, this is thee place. The BBQ chicken for both plates was tender, seasoned perfectly. The Mac salad was pretty good. The bread for the BBQ chicken sandwich was meh, but at least it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Rice was cooked perfectly for the plate.

K C.

Yelp
The 5 stars rating is for cheap eats. Where else can you get a meal for around $6 to $12 nowadays? Dim sum and lunch plates are generous and tasty. In my opinion, the dim sum at Red A is much better than Good Mong Kok Bakery in Chinatown and on par with some of the offerings at Good Luck Dim Sum. Much of the Red A's menu is cook to order, so expect to wait a couple minutes. There's a few item under the steamer basket that ready made. I always order the shrimp roll that's freshly steamed to order. It's generously stuffed with prawns rolled in a soft noodle; a real bargain. The companion sweet soy sauce is in a squeeze bottle that you grab from their drink refrigerator Chicken feet is a gelatinous bony goodness, a tad sweet but succulent. My favorite is the secret menu: frozen shrimp wonton to go which cooks up at home to the size of a golf ball. I can stretch it out to four noodle bowls. The ambiance, service and toilet room need a lots of improvement. Better to do a takeout and picnic at the park. With such low prices, food production takes precedence over service or ambiance. Perhaps as business grow, owners should consider investing in the later.

Yelp
Check your receipts! And make sure you get a copy of it because they did not offer one at first, I had to ask. Luckily for me I am good at quick simple math and was able to realize I was charged $15.42 MORE than what I ordered. The young woman was not apologetic AT ALL and seemed super annoyed that I even realized her mistake. She couldn't even explain it because she read my order back to me and it was correct on her paper. Her attitude alone after treating a potential new customer like this is why I will never be back here. I watched many patrons come in, order and just scan their cards without taking receipts. So idk how often they get away with this type of behavior. Be careful and don't let this place scam you ! And there is no ambiance. It's a whole in the wall Hawaiian shop. Cheap prices until you get the overcharged amount.

Yelp
Hidden gem, I tell ya! Everyone else can stand in those long lines of neighboring dim sum spots (which I fully support, but ya won't catch me in those lines!), but if you see a bunch of old Chinese men gossiping and having a grand ol' time, then it's a winner. This brings me back to when my grandpa used to take us to his favorite bakeries back in the day and it would sound the same. Oh right, the food! Can't go wrong with dim sum here! I'd actually like to highlight the vegetarian soup dumplings. You heard me right - VEGETARIAN! For those of us that love Chinese food and don't eat land animals, we're usually in quite a pickle. But Red A has got you covered! Prepare to wait about 10min for them to be ready after ordering, and you must eat them immediately! Try them out!!
google avatar

Sunny O.

Yelp
More vegan dim sum pls. It's the common denominator everyone can eat. No one else makes it's except flower lounge on Geary Blvd which is a mile away . My all veggie bun was delicious . Keep up the good work
google avatar

Fanny C.

Yelp
I use to come here all the time to get spam musubi's. this time I stopped by to get an assortment of dim sum and everything was so good. Everything tasted so fresh, especially the shrimp dumpling skin. Everything was packed with a lot of flavor, and I would definitely come back. Service is fast and efficient and I was able to get my order immediately for a big portion. Prices have been going up, but that goes with all dim sum places.
google avatar

Vivien Lou C.

Yelp
I came for Hawaiian Bbq to support a local business. I was happy with my bbq chicken , macaroni and rice and soon after a large number of other customers came in too :-)

Yelp
Good prices. Food is okay. Nice to fill you up. The people were super friendly. Cleanliness including bathroom was so so.
google avatar

Jenni P.

Yelp
Omg this place is insanely delicious. We ordered so much food and it all came out with a quickness! The lobby filled quick with people ordering and with not many staff members they moved so fast. Hands down the best crab Rangoons ever. Don't sleep on those. For sure going back every time I'm in the city.
google avatar

Wendy H.

Yelp
Under new ownership and now serves dim sum. The dim sum is pretty good. We like the har gow, shrimp and chives dumpling and pan fried shrimp cake. The shrimp cake was a tad scorched. I bought a few pineapple buns and they are pretty good. Not greasy and the crackling stayed on the bun. It's also huge! You can pay with credit card. Service was friendly.
google avatar

Claire C.

Yelp
Just found out this place is closing mid-august and I hadn't tried it yet, so I had to go. My friend recommended the chicken cutlet musubi and no joke this is THE BEST chicken cutlet I've ever had. All the other bakery items looked delicious as well, so I also grabbed some egg tarts, a red bean bun, and a Hong Kong milk tea. Prices are beyond reasonable and the food quality is top notch. Sad this was only my first time trying it and will definitely be back again before they close. Highly recommended giving this bakery a try if you haven't been yet! Wishing the best for the owners as they go into retirement.

Yelp
Overall dim sum is okay, nothing amazing but it'll hit the spot in a pinch. Yum: beef and pork shumai Good: custard buns and bbq pork bun Skip: pork and chive dumplings, potstickers The food here is OK/good for dim sum. They don't have a chili sauce available other than Sriracha, which is disappointing because I always like garlic chili sauce. They don't have tap water available and the bathroom was not very clean so that docked a star for me, while food docked one more.
google avatar

Jeff H.

Yelp
Red A Dim Sum is a Hawaiian food and dim sum restaurant. Who knew both styles of food can be in the same restaurant? I had their spicy wontons $7.50. It was eight wontons and they were small and not spicy enough. This dish at Smile House on Taraval is much better. Their egg rolls $3.60 for three are standard egg rolls and not bad. The lotus leaf sticky rice $5 weren't great because of the size and variety of meats. Maybe I got a bad one. Service was fine.
google avatar

Ken D.

Yelp
Hawaiian food and dim sum? Yes to that every day! Came here for restaurant week and tried the dim sum and the BBQ chicken plate. The dim sum was good. Big pieces at a fair price. The chicken plate came with a ton of chicken and the Mac salad was delicious. Looking forward to trying lots of other things in the menu. The baos are just okay. Much more bread than meat, hence the 4 star rating.
google avatar

Leanne Y.

Yelp
Enjoyed everything. Wish the beef rice roll had green onions, cilantro and a little sesame oil. Pork puffs were good (maybe a little more filling would be even better?) but there was a slight oily taste. The turnip cakes tasted even better the next day when we reheated it in the frying pan! The beef stew wonton noodle soup was low sodium which was a plus. More meat would even be better...overall good. Hard to find good chicken feet. Pretty tasty!
google avatar

Yelp
Dim Sum Paradise! I absolutely love this place! Ordered delivery and all the dumplings were on point!!! The Sui Mai was killer!! The vegetable soup dumplings blew me away !! Still can't believe how damn great they were! I've been eating dim sum all over this city for decades and I'll never order it delivered from anywhere else after this experience. I also called to ask for extra vinegar and chopsticks, best customer service ever!! Super kind! Thanks again
google avatar

Danice M.

Yelp
First time eating inside. Usually do take outs. Decided to order a Hamburger and fries instead of dim sum. Was super busy and food so good. Thank you!
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
I say go Thursday or Friday morning it seems to be less busy around 11, to me that is. Today just see an influx of school kids but good thing ordered before they start streaming in
google avatar

Eva L.

Yelp
I love this place - I always get musubi here and they do it well. Fully wrapped in seaweed, spam is well seasoned and good spam-to-rice ratio. They also make it to order so it's really fresh every time. Staff are friendly too. No frills energy but the atmosphere's casual vibe is great.
google avatar

Neal L.

Yelp
Very good dim sum on a street known for authentic dim sum. On a Tuesday, it was the first restaurant we could find with seating. All the other restaurants were only for take out. The ha how and siu mai were really good, just what we needed after our walk up to Coit Tower, and before our hike at Land's End. Gracious, friendly service in a restaurant that seemed to be a favorite gathering place for locals--reminded me of a Clement Street "Cheers". Love the happy chatter all around us! My wife and I give Red A 4 happy chopsticks!
google avatar

Vic C.

Yelp
Red A Bakery is located in inner Richmond with some (metered) parking. This bakery is located across the street from Xiao Long Bao and Wing Hing Seafood Market. Just look for the white awning with the red "A". With almost 200 reviews and 4 stars as the overall rating, I really had high hopes for this place but was let down. When we came in, we were acknowledged by the woman at the counter. At first I was going to purchase egg tarts but after seeing many flies in the display case, I decided against it. Please note that the items in the display case was not covered so flies were just hanging out all around those items. There were also flies in the bakery where I was waiting for my food. I probably should have just walked out when we saw all the flies but thought it may be okay to order hot food so we decided to order: Chicken Katsu Musubi, $2.30 prior to tax- This was actually okay but my husband thought it was dry. I expected it to be since this is chicken katsu placed on a brick of rice, wrapped with seaweed. The rice did have a sauce and so I thought this was good. BBQ Seafood Combo, $12.95 prior to tax- My husband opted to order this plate, which comes with 2 pieces of fried fish, 3 pieces of fried shrimp, short ribs, 2 small scoops of steamed rice and 1 scoop of macaroni salad. To be honest, this entrée was just average, and we have definitely had better. My husband and I shared this and so I thought it was good for 2 small meals and the price seems fair for the amount. ----------------------------------- (Total= $16.60 after tax) With the flies in the bakery and also inside the display case, in addition to the average food we got, I won't be back here. If you decide to come, hopefully your experience will be better than ours. Please note that credit card is accepted for transactions over $10.

Yelp
Just here to reiterate how much I love this place. We live a short 3 min walk from Red A and I often place an order as soon as they open so I can pick up food for my lunch and then head off to work. They always have my food on time and have great service. My favorite dishes are the fish sandwhich, chicken Katsu, and Hong Kong style shrimp dumpling soup. I haven't tried anything off their menu because I love these items so much!! So glad to have found this place
google avatar

Yelp
So, when we decided to duck into this place for a quick bite, I thought to myself that this surely wasn't a place that Cherylynn N. would have written a review for. it's a nondescript little eatery on Clement that doesn't quite seem like a foodie destination. Wrong! Anyways, we found ourselves here on our first real trip to SF as a family since before this tiresome pandemic hit. We had intended to go to Chinatown, but when we arrived there we discovered that Grant Avenue had been closed down completely for the Lunar New Year celebration and it was densely packed. Not wanting to either deal with the crowd (I didn't like these mosh pits even before Covid-19) or the inevitable parking headaches, we drove down to Clement where we knew we'd find similar offering with fewer bodies. We were looking for some Chinese baked comfort foods, but what drew us in were the pictures of the Hawaiian specialties posted in the window. Chinese pastries, loco moco, spam musubi, kalua pig - all under one roof? If I lived in this area I might never eat any place else. The counter was staffed by a single kindly older woman who took our order and disappeared to the back to hand it off. Shortly after we arrived a whole raft of customers came in and we watched as she efficiently served all of them. She brought the food to our table and we thoroughly enjoyed our feast. The spam musubis were generous and the pork chop sandwich was delicious with a thick chop with that familiar sweet BBQ taste and fresh vegetables. Fries were piping hot. The rest of the meal was also quite good as were the pastries that we got (I forget exactly what they were). Best of all the prices were all very reasonable, which is a rare find these day.

Yelp
For some reason, I've been craving spam musubi and buns recently--I think I've been wanting comfort food without me making it. I love walking so on a nice Friday, wanted to walk around the Richmond and Golden Gate Park Area. I love Clement Street and found Red A Bakery, with Hawaiian food and Asian baked goods. They offer typical Hawaiian barbecue including chicken katsu, rice plates, loco moco, bbq chicken, bbq curry chicken, etc. I was also impressed by their wide array of milkshakes and HK milk teas, very reasonably-priced. They also make their own cakes you can order ahead for special occasions. I like how they have bags of buns and bread you can take home, including butter coconut buns, red bean bun, pork sung bun, raisin bun, and more! I liked this bag of taro ones and pumpkin--the taro one had real taro filling! The spam musubi was also good and well-priced, I liked the spam flavor and it wasn't messy like some musubis. They take credit cards for orders over $10. I'll be back for more buns and to try their Hawaiian dishes!

Leilani B.

Yelp
Good. Cheap. Dim sum. Pretty quick and friendly service. My potstickers were nice, big , and juicy. The steam pork bun was so fluffy and delicious.

Yelp
Y'all...Red A Bakery LIVES ON ! I walked by yesterday to find the door open and a nice little hand-written addition to their sandwich board reading "Dim Sum" with a smiley face below it. Apparently, the original owner retired, and a new guy took over and added dim sum. Not sure if they'll continue to sell their Chinese baked goods or not, but THEY ARE KEEPING THE ENTIRE HAWAAIAN MENU ! They're open every day (for now), so GO FORTH AND GET THEE SOME MUSUBI AND CHICKEN KATSU !

Yelp
I am the first time eat pan fried turnip cake is really good. Shrimp term fun. is really delicious

Yelp
Red A bakery has reopened under new ownership. They still sell the BBQ foods but now includes Chinese dim sum and noodle dishes and others.

Yelp
All around A-OK. I called in for a BBQ combo plate while walking over from a few blocks away, thinking that it would save me a few minutes of waiting in the store. It was late in the afternoon so there was only one other customer in the store. I saw that they had racks of pastries in the food warmer behind the cashier. So obviously, who could say no to more pastries while waiting for food already... I asked for two pineapple buns and the cashier/server took them from the front display case. You can tell it's not that fresh but oh well. Charged for: $12.00 - BBQ combo plate (pretty sure the signage said $11.49) $1.00 each - pineapple bun (pretty sure the signage said $0.95) Credit card accepted for purchases over $10. Good flavors on the BBQ combo plate, but distinctly smaller portions than let's say... Ono Hawaiian. But then again, I don't expect a mom and pop shop to beat a franchise chain in terms of quantity/value. Ok food, probably will not get again :/

Yelp
The food is good the service is nice I just wish they had more selections of food of dim sum

Yelp
Amazing dim sum with very low prices. Delicious soup, dumplings, and potstickers. Everything was fresh and yummy.

Yelp
In my search for dim sum on Clement St. I found Red A bakery. Alas my search for dim sum was a failure as the two places I go to on this street were closed. I saw that they sold Hawaiian food and kept on walking. Any other day I would have been happy to partake but today I had dim sum on the brain. However I thought I saw some Chinese bakery items in the case and did a u-turn to check it out. I didn't see any items I wanted in the case but noticed the list posted on the heated case behind it and saw what I wanted. Thank goodness they were keeping these items warm! The BBQ pork buns were $1.50 each. Two please! I also saw that they sold 4 mini egg tarts for $1.75. One order please! The BBQ pork buns were okay. The bread had a good texture and taste. However the pork filling was slightly more salty than sweet. The egg tart was delicious, with a very nice flaky crust. It wasn't not the best I've had but it was pretty good! In a pinch this spot was a good find. The bakery has a large menu of Hawaiian options, as well as bread, pastries, cakes and other baked goods. They have a variety of Chinese buns in the refrigerated case well. The woman behind the counter was quite friendly. The bakery has a large seating area but right now during the Stay at Home order they are only open for take out.

Yelp
This place is good for lunch, dessert, and coffee. I got the Hawaiian BBQ which was its original draw for me. I enjoyed the garlic shrimp and chicken BBQ plate. This is a good place to get dessert or food on Clement street.
google avatar

Natalie C.

Yelp
Delicious rice noodle rolls - the tastiest I've had in a very long while! They're freshly made and smooth as silk! My little one is OBSESSED with them! Also, the owners are super friendly and make other delicious dim sum - fresh every day!
google avatar

Colleen M.

Yelp
Okay Yelp community, I'm about to risk sharing one of my biggest tips - Red A Bakery. There is literally no where else that you can get a fresh, good looking, Asian chiffon + fruit cake for $20. You don't even need to call ahead! Don't quote me on the calling ahead though - you call them if you're doing some crazy planning. They're a solid Richmond bakery with speedy service. If you don't speak Chinese, you can totally order in English. Sweet ladies behind the counter with yummy egg tarts and coconut buns that are SO tempting. Alright, I'm going to pray that the good karma in sharing this will keep them from raising their prices...!

Jonathan J.

Yelp
Overall very good sellection of food. They have Hawaiian BBq items, selection of chinese cuisine as well. I would reccomend those check this place out if your interested in exploring what Clement has to offer. I favor the Crab Ragoons because of the sweey and sour sauce that pairs complements the crunchy; creame of the crab ragoons. The Katsu Chicken Sandwhich is great when your on the go, while the beef Shu Mai drizzled with soy sauce was the perfect comfort food to experience the dine in. Must Try

Yelp
One of the legendary bakeries in the area, and a highly underrated place for your favorite Hawaiian BBQ staples. The katsu musubi is really good, and if you manage to eat it fresh out the kitchen, the breading on the chicken is super crunchy and light. They also make sure not to overstuff the musubi with rice. Also recommend their custard buns, since they put a little bit of coconut into the custard (I think) and it makes for a really nice savory sweet filling.
