Is an American Diner Really a Restaurant for Everyone? | Eater

"A long-running Manchester, New Hampshire establishment operating since the early 20th century that retains a nostalgic diner interior—redbrick exterior, a narrow counter with swiveling stools, chrome accents, a whiteboard of specials and a neon clock—and a menu that still includes classics like liver and onions and a hot hamburger sandwich. It has become a famed stop on the New Hampshire primary trail, with walls full of campaign photos and plaques marking where notable visitors sat; the owners promote a nonpartisan, all-welcome posture even as political visits have shaped the restaurant’s national visibility." - Jaya Saxena

Campaign FEC Filings Reveal How Much Democratic Candidates Are Spending on Food | Eater

"A Manchester, New Hampshire diner that drew attention after a presidential campaign visit in early January; the stop was observed by reporters but does not appear as a discrete line item in the campaign's FEC filing, likely folded into bulk travel reimbursements or advance-team fees, illustrating how small, in-person event food charges can be obscured in campaign accounting." - Gary He

Why Presidential Candidates Eat at the Red Arrow Diner in New Hampshire | Eater

"A century-old, 24-hour diner in Manchester, New Hampshire, that has become the quintessential stage for retail politics: its walls are plastered with decades of clippings and photographs of famous visitors (including Adam Sandler), and its uncut Americana menu ranges from hot turkey sandwiches and steak-and-eggs to theatrical items such as a mug of 20 strips of bacon and the over-the-top Newton Burger — a half-pound of ground beef, a deep-fried ball of mac-and-cheese, and melted American cheese sandwiched between two grilled-cheese sandwiches that was later rebranded as the Trump Tower Burger. As the premiere venue in the first-in-the-nation primary, it played a notable role in the 1992 Clinton retail-politics comeback and was cemented as an institution by subsequent campaigns; candidates of all parties make scheduled and off-the-record visits for quick photo ops or longer meet-and-greets. Regular rituals and staff choreography—bells for first-timers and “I’ve Been De-virginized” stickers—underscore the diner’s ceremonial place in campaigns, while on-the-ground scenes (for example, a recent candidate ordering a chicken-fried steak Benedict and spending an unusually long 40 minutes, even photographing with back-of-house staff) illustrate how the spot blends quotidian diner life with high-stakes politicking." - Gary He

A great little spot that’s off Elm and easy to find. Fresh hot breakfast and love the cozy atmosphere. It’s been here for a century and still is great. Love the ‘I cleaned my plate’ stickers. My buddies got one. I couldn’t finish my HUGE pastrami omelet. Next time!

Our friend Linda from the area invited us here before we went to go see A Chorus Line at The Palace Theater. Forgot what they got but we got meatloaf meal. And the DELICIOUS TO DIE FOR Macaroni pasta meal in meat sauce and onions and peppers. Tastes just like home. The food and service was good. Had a yummy Diet Root Beer. Took some selfies We can say we have been "devirginized"!

Google
Absolutely delicious! A real diner atmosphere with the food to back it up. Must try the éclair, it's beyond divine.. but everything we had was amazing! The prices were on point, if a little low, the atmosphere was great and the portions were huge! Definitely will be back!

Google
This wonderful diner, a Manchester landmark, has been serving delicious food since 1922. My father used to take me there when I was a kid. It is open 24 hours, so stop in for a bite when visiting the area. Highly recommended!

Google
It’s a top rated place. It looks good. It’s well known. But when I was there later at night and it’s open 24 hours, I literally waited for like 20 minutes and nobody acknowledged me. I’m standing crystal clear and not on my phone, waiting to place a takeout order as the online menu was not available. Literally everyone else around me see the people in a couple people waiting for your pick up order were acknowledged, but not me. I don’t think you can place order to pass a certain time. I just walked out and ate a local burger joint instead.

Google
Top 3 "everyday" eat out spots. The prices, the portions, the service, and the quality of food is unmatched. Hit the Friday fish fry for a massive cut of fresh haddock and an unexpectedly large cobb salad for the money. Not pictured, the piece of from-scratch peanut butter pie. If you don't get a piece of some kind of homemade pie while you're here, get it to go. No regrets and already looking forward to the next meal.

Google
It was great to find this gem on our trip. Robin was a delight! The food was delicious and generous portions too. We even tried poutin for the first time. Too bad we live more than a thousand miles away, or we'd surely be back.

Google
I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve eaten gas station food at 2 a.m. that was more satisfying than what we were served at the Manchester location. We’ve had consistently great experiences at the Londonderry branch, so we came in expecting a solid dinner. What we got instead was an overpriced, borderline offensive mess disguised as a meal. Four people. Four waters. Four plates of food that ranged from barely edible to is this a joke? $119.00. One very expensive culinary crime scene. The only reason we stayed was because we were dining with my elderly, handicapped mother, and moving to another restaurant would have been a logistical nightmare. Otherwise, we would’ve walked out the second the food hit the table. Every single meal ordered was subpar—from the chicken parm with soggy pasta and flavorless sauce, to the meatloaf “special,” served ice cold with a disgusting-looking bowl of brown goo they tried to pass off as gravy. But the crown jewel of this disaster was the turkey dinner. Oh, we’d loved it in Londonderry. Here? It felt like a cruel prank. What we got looked—and tasted—like dried-out rotisserie scraps from someone’s fridge five days after Thanksgiving. I received a plate of lukewarm food, with a chunk of frozen mashed potato in the pile the size of my palm—no exaggeration. The “gravy” was a sodium bomb in gelatinous form—bland, goopy, and slightly threatening. The stuffing? Like they poured Stouffer’s out of the box and forgot to cook it. Think dry, crunchy croutons. The salad? Calling it a salad is generous. It was more like a random assortment of vegetables found at the bottom of a grocery bag: limp iceberg, a lonely tomato chunk, two sad cucumber slices clinging to life, a few shreds of cheese, and two pieces of raw onion large enough to qualify as a hate crime. And then—oh, the mac and cheese. I don’t know what we did to deserve it. It had the texture of paste and the flavor of despair. Every one of us tried a bite. Every one of us instantly regretted it. It may honestly be the most vile thing I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. Truly the worst meal ever. The only redeeming moment? Two slices of pie—chocolate and lemon blueberry—that were actually delicious. But even those felt like an apology note at the end of a hostage situation. Never again. In short: this wasn’t just a bad meal—it was an absolute trainwreck. We paid fine dining prices for food that wouldn’t pass at a middle school cafeteria. I left hungry, disappointed, and honestly, a little insulted. Save your money. Save your taste buds. Save your soul. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of the Manchester location—unless you’re looking for a memorable story about the worst meal of your life.

Yelp
Hopped off an early flight into Manchester and ate breakfast here. It's a small place but I was happy with the attention of the staff. My grits were great but importantly they know how to cook an egg over medium. My wife and son enjoyed their breakfast as well. I will definitely return.

Yelp
Sometimes you just want chicken parm on spaghetti and a slice of peanut butter chocolate cream pie at 2am, and by god the Red Arrow is where you will find it. Not only that, but it will be delicious. So what if you are dragging yourself home as the sun is coming up? You were able to satisfy that crazy hankering for a coffee frappe you have been ignoring all week, and you know nothing goes better with a frappe than a mug of bacon. No matter what time it is there is always conversation going on. It reminds me of the diner I grew up going to - the only difference is I can drive myself to this one any time I find myself wanting a whole strawberry rhubarb pie (to bring home and eat for breakfast, of course).

Yelp
We came to see A Chorus Line at the Palace Theater with our friend Linda who is from Manchester. We wanted to have dinner before the show. Linda took us to Red Arrow Diner. We had meatloaf dinner. This delicious macaroni pasta with meat sauce. Comes with toast. Diet Root Beer. It was so delicious!

Yelp
Went here with a group for breakfast. Service was friendly, food was good and fresh. The inside is pretty small but we were able to get two tables close together to chat. I got the breakfast bowl and really enjoyed it. Next time, I'm getting pie!

Yelp
24 hour diner and a local spot. Winning! We didn't want a big dinner and just wanted something to hit the spot late at night so we found this place on Yelp. This place was also on Triple D with Guy and also has had many celebrities and politicians visit. You can walk around and find the pictures and the plaques of ppl who have sat at the diner. Food was good and filing. The steak tips are marinated in something which I wasn't too big on but they aren't bad. No thrills service and I assume it can get pretty close in here if it's busy. Would recommend for a good quick diner meal.

Yelp
I eat here all the time!!! I've never had a bad meal at this facility!!! Even when there busy, which seems always, and that alone speaks for itself... the servers there have been there forever and they know their menu inside out... and you can mix and match, and or substitute according to your liking's... ask for Stacey to serve you she's so amazing, knows her shit!!!! Friendly, courteous, and always has a smile... well, she's really pretty to boot!!!!! Also where ever you're seated is marked with a tag of someone famous whome has shared the same seat as yourself ... with all this said, I very highly recommend the red arrow

Yelp
I came here while visiting NH for the Memorial Day weekend. I was looking for places to eat and came across Red Arrow Diner on my trusty Yelp app. When we arrived, there were no seating at the booths, so we were told that we had to sit at the counter. That wasn't a problem for me but the person I came with wanted to sit at the booth. Not too long after we were seated, a party left, thus making a booth available. The person I came with didn't want to place an order until we moved. Finally, after 10-15 minutes, we were moved. The server (I forgot her name, but she has long, brunette colored hair) was not friendly at all. We would've been better off staying put because the server at the counter was friendlier. Anyway, I ordered the two pancakes, two eggs and two strips of bacon with a side of potatoes. She ordered the meatloaf platter with a side salad. I got a cup of hot chocolate. We both got pies (we observed people coming into the diner just to order pies), she got the cherry, and I got the apple. The food was good the service was meh. All in all, I don't see myself rushing to go back.

Yelp
The vibe of the place was very very nice and had a LOT of selections to choose from. I got the onion ring appetizer with the firecracker omelette and it was good!! The firecracker omelette was a little too much for me though, next time i would order something else But the onion rings were perfect!!! Would go back just for those

Yelp
Red arrow stuck out to me like an iconic piece of history in Manchester... a place where the locals go...a place where the locals have been coming forever! Huge menu, breakfast or lunch. We tried the club chicken salad sandwich, Monte Cristo, and pancakes thank you take a break. Come eat dinner! The turkey was real turkey off the bone, not sliced deli meat, so just be aware before ordering. Service was excellent! We were greeted and treated like locals love all the pictures on the wall in the history of the visitors! Bar area and seating is tight so if you have a big group prepared to split up or find another venue. Don't skip on the Red Arrow!
google avatar

Yelp
When I think of the classic american diner, I think of the Red Arrow. I've been coming here for years because they are consistent with their food, service and price.....consistently good! I love the atmosphere and the fact I can get breakfast 24/7. This place has a lot of history and had been a landmark of Manchester for 100 years! Their menu has a large selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner options so if you can't find something on the menu that fits the bill for you then you're a hard person to please. The Red Arrow is also a favorite stopping point for famous actors and politicians just check out all the photos on the walls. This place is great and part of the heart & soul of Manchester!! So check out the Red Arrow and Enjoy.

Yelp
The food the atmosphere the service by Robin was outstanding! Had the Monte Christo fresh pulled Turkey. Then got the brownie and Reese pie for dessert! To quote only thing that me dersert better "take it home and eat with pants off"! Top 3 diners I have been to and the seat tags with famous people was very cool!

Yelp
We stopped in for Brunch on a weekday. We were seated quickly, which was awesome, because sometimes booths aren't available. The server was super friendly, good came out hot and fast! The place is always clean and bright! We ate one of the Benny's and Poutine! OMG the portions are massive! So delicious! We took some cherry pie to go! So good!!! Red Arrow for the win!!'

Yelp
Great fast service and a wide variety of options. The line appeared long but moved fast.

Yelp
Nice little diner in Manchester. Had the Queen Dinah breakfast. Eggs, bacon, sausage Pan fries and toast. Very good. My wife had the loaded potato omelette. She really enjoyed it. Not a fancy place at all. 5 stars for being what it is. A small diner with good food. Service was great. The wait staff was very accommodating.
google avatar

Beth B.

Yelp
Old school diner. Minimal seating and minimal staff. They worked hard to get the crowd served. The food was good but the ambiance was a little claustrophobic for me. Fun and I'll go back on a non weekend day.
google avatar

Bobby O.

Yelp
New England comfort food at its best. Cozy and inviting place. The American Chop Suey was amazing!
google avatar

Ken W.

Yelp
Finally got to stop by here having heard/seen a lot about it especially during campaign season. It's a neat little place, staff was friendly and attentive, food was good. If you're in the area, highly recommend stopping. PSA: only street parking available, don't park on adjoining lots or you'll be towed.

Diane P.

Yelp
FANTASTIC!! Tiny, old building with counter seating and a few booths. My Chef Salad (with real meat, not sliced packaged lunchmeat) was big enough for two. My husband's tuna melt and soup were also great. Friendly staff, fair prices. Amazing looking desserts but we were too stuffed to try them.

Yelp
My very first stop coming off of a late night flight, the Red Arrow diner was an oasis for a hungry traveler from Manchester Airport. The diner is open 24/7, which makes it perfect for a hangry traveler. There is a good sized parking lot next to the restaurant, which was relatively open on a late Sunday night. I cannot attest to the parking during the presumably peak hours over lunch and dinner. They have a wide selection of food, from the usual breakfast diner fare and plenty of sandwich and burger options. Coming from the Midwest, I did not grow up with the old-school "greasy spoon" diner, and definitely not with the 24 hour vibes. At 11pm, it was not particularly busy, although again it seems like things can get pretty busy around here! Poutine was my choice for a late night snack along with a slice of peanut butter pie; these were the perfect salty/sweet options for my night. It was not the best poutine I have ever had and I am certain there are much better options on the menu, but these just hit the spot and are a testament to the quality of their extensive menu. Super excited to come back soon!

Dan K.

Yelp
You have a "Trump Tower Burger" on your menu. I decided to leave. I'll never be back. ‍
google avatar

Yelp
So good!!! This diner is such a classic place and is super welcoming. Stopped here on the way up to Quebec and I'm so glad I did. I totally get why so many people eat here. We got there on a Friday afternoon and there wasn't a line just a small wait for the table. The diner has a ton of pictures on the walls with celebrities and all of the benches had plaques with who sat in those seats. For food I ordered the Queen Dinah and it was amazing. Best pancakes I've had in a while. The coffee was what you'd normally get at a diner. The service was great and welcoming. If I'm ever in the area I will definitely visit again.
google avatar

Richard W.

Yelp
When you picture an American diner, this is a great example. Clean, bright, good service, satisfying breakfast, affordable. It's open 24 hours too. I think this would be an ideal place to cure a hangover. We stopped in for breakfast, I got the sausage gravy and biscuits with two eggs on the side. Mimi got eggs, hashbrowns, and corned beef hash. The sausage gravy was savory, and they did not skimp on it. It really hit the spot. Go here to get that diner breakfast monkey off your back.
google avatar

Yelp
This place stays busy lol. Had to come simply bc I was in the area. The space is tight. You should probably know what you want to order before you are seated . Regular dinner food with some good options . Tons of options actually which is great. Service was pleasant as well. I kept it simple, ordered to go . French toast sticks was my order , they were pretty good. Hopefully next time I can dine in.

Norma L.

Yelp
Food was good. Waitress I feel wasn't very friendly all in all. Kinda felt like myself and the person I was with was more of a bother. Very disappointed that that person was also a virgin to the red arrow diner and I told them that. Knowing of the tradition they have with devirgining new patrons. One I mentioned to waitress I felt we were being ignored even more. So again food was good but over all experience was very disappointing. No apology no explanation. And the diner wasn't busy so there was plenty of time to carry out the tradition it has for such new customer experience. Restaurant was very clean. Food was good. Service and experience has much improvement to do to keep up with the red arrow diner traditions.
google avatar

Anna T.

Yelp
I've been here twice so far and it's everything I have ever wanted from a diner. Open all the time. Breakfast open all the time. Servings are huge and everything comes out fresh. The stickers are adorable and the waitresses are the gum smacking stereotype you expect in a diner. That being said every waitress I've interacted with here has been very nice. Patient when I've brought non English speakers and they're always busy keeping the place running and clean but not too busy to check on you. Friend pickles. Potato hash. Waffles with a bunch of butter. Delicious
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
After watching diner drive in , I was really looking forward in trying this place. It was disappointing to find that my orders were not as expected. The poutine is not bad and I did like the gravy and cheese. The hash was a huge disappointment with no condiments or utensils as requested. The hash was small and was not worth the price listed.
google avatar

Oli M.

Yelp
Our first time in Manchester resulted in us stumbling upon a Manchester staple. Political nominees and celebrities of all sorts stop by this diner with pictures adorning the walls of them all. The waitstaff were wonderful from the two waitresses to the busboy server and they all helped to make us feel glad to be at the Red Arrow. Many customers were regulars and proud to be coming back. As newcomers we got a bell rung for no longer being Red Arrow virgins and I got a sticker for cleaning my plate which made me proud like my 5 year old self. The food was good and left me wanting for nothing. Thank you, Red Arrow. We will be back next time.

Stacy S.

Yelp
The Red Arrow Diner is a cute classic diner. Not suitable for large parties, but perfect if you're looking for a dining spot for a few people. Service and food were excellent. They have a wide variety on their menu.

Yelp
Always top notch food ! Delivered quickly! And the decor and people are great in such a fun setting with diner tables and chairs !

Yelp
Food was great, service was good. Adam Sandler frequently stop by here. Its open 24 hours so you cant beat it. The ambiance is solid

Yelp
Looking for a spot to blow you away? Red Arrow Diner is that spot for my family! Let me tell you, my family was traveling and was looking for a spot to grab brunch. We haven't ate breakfast and after much Yelping and googling it somehow lead me to Red Arrow Diner. I have to tell you that the biggest reason we decided to stop by here is because of Adam Sandlers. We sat in the booth right next to where Adam's plaque was and stared at the menu for a very long time. Even the waitress was very patient with us. She made plenty of recommendations and let us take our time to decide. I had very very very low expectations because I mean most of my diner experiences the food was just mediocre. And as a foodie I really had no expectations what so ever. I customized my own burger, my hubby got a breakfast plate, and the kids both got the kids menu Mickey mouse chocolate chip pancake. Let me just tell you their bacon is sooooooo AMAZING!!! No wonder they sell it in a bucket if you wanted to order it that way. The burger was just so juicy, made perfectly and full of flavor. I was just so shocked at how good it was. One of the best burgers I have had in a very long while! Their ham was good quality ham too! Our little family of 4 were such happy campers. Our waitress was very nice and sweet. She even rung the bell and announced all of the cities us out of towners are from. I highly would recommend everyone and their mamas to come check out Red Arrow Diner. This is by far the best diner I have ever eaten at. 2 thumbs up and would definitely be coming back if I am in the area again! Truly a must try diner! Tips: *Street metered parking. *restroom is available for customers *booth or bar seating *kids menu available *cash/credit card accepted *lots of famous peeps have been here (check out their wall w photos/autographs) *Few locations available

Yelp
Another diner voted by Yankee Magazine as one of the 15 best in New England. This one, opened in 1922, belongs for a lot of reasons. On another top-down day, Pots & Pans and I made the journey. Located in downtown Manchester, with parking on the street. Make sure you pay for the parking. Inside is smallish, with 6 side tables, and about ten stools. Be prepared to wait for an open spot. Well, we walk in, and I announce loudly to EVERYONE, "He's a virgin (more on that later) and he's a big Yankee fan". There was a smattering of boos, etc. Finally get a table, and Robin is our server. I again announce loudly, "He's a virgin. Send me a young wench." Robin takes our orders, and gives me a nod. She goes back to the front, rings a big bell loudly, and says, "Our big New York Yankee fan is hereby devirginized!" It's part of the schtick., but P&P hadn't read up on it. He does say, "I'm not that big." However, he doesn't refute anything else????? The food - lots of it and very good. My Hash Benny was great, his Smoky Pig Breakfast Bowl was also a big hit. Another draw is that many famous people have eaten here. Presidents, would-be presidents, movie stars, all kind of famous people whose pics adorn the walls. Def a must see.

Yelp
Cute retro diner in the heart of Manchester. Restaurant is small and fills quickly. Very friendly wait staff. Food was exceptional. I had a burger and fries. Sweet potato fries are delish!

Yelp
Good addition for Manchester. Downtown area is highly annoying; douches with loud cars and dudes doing wheelies on motorcycles... sigh. Chicken tenders and club sandwich very good! Quick service.
google avatar

Keira H.

Yelp
The good is delicious! The server was so nice and understanding of my order. Many celebrities have visited there and there is many signed photos of them on the wall and the place is super clean and decorative! Love dining here!
google avatar

Groucho M.

Yelp
Classic NEW ENGLAND all day all / night hash house. Enjoyed counter breakfast and was treated cordially while decidedly NOT a local. Can't imagine what the place could be like in the wee hours. Likely a venue for a situation comedy. Go, relax, take it all in, enjoy.

Shawn D.

Yelp
Ordered breakfast to have it ruined by a cook who should learn a little patience and actually cook the eggs and bacon not hard to do like wth so much for night shift breakfast
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
LOVE this place...every single time! Great old fashioned diner vibe, great service, and AWESOME food! Huge portions, huge menu, breakfast 24/7 and open 24/7. The best!!!

Steven G.

Yelp
Neat little grease spoon diner with nice selection of desserts. Open 24/7 for your post pub-crawl needs.

Stanley S.

Yelp
We wanted to see this old-time diner, famous for its celebrity visits and political photo-ops. We only were in for an overnight in Manchester, on our way to Maine. It embodied the entire area, as it was hidden amongst the crumbling city blocks. This is a very middle class town which hasn't received much love or attention and it shows. Like I said, the Red Arrow, though clean, embodies the town in which it resides. Being liberal democrats, we felt like fish out of water, though it was interesting seeing all the placards on the benches showing names of famous visitors. The food itself was OK and was your standard diner fare. Trying to park the car was annoying. The waitress was friendly and many of the people in there were there for the same reason: to say you were there. Nothing fancy, just solid grub. If you are in the area, go for the photos and nostalgia, not the grub.
google avatar

Monica K.

Yelp
I travel to Manchester every other month and I make sure to come here. I love the small town feel and most recently my waitress saraya was so attentive and kind.

Yelp
Great food, plenty of parking, decent prices, Conveniently located and good service. There's a store adjacent to the restaurant!

Yelp
Fantastic stop for our meal in New Hampshire. My sister and I loaded up on 3 meals. Tuna melt with with baked beans, haddock sandwich with sweet potato fries, and chicken tenders with apple sauce. Entrees we're all fantastic, other than the amazing sweet potato fries, the sides were alright. We didn't realize how famous this place til we got here and found out we made a better choice than we thought. The diner is supposedly rate #1 on some top 10 list which is super cool. The diner is definitely authentic in the sense that you are sitting at bar like seating right up against the servers. Fun fact, it will be celebrating its 100 year anniversary this year. Our server, Robin, made the experience all the much better. She was hospitable from the start, was honest about the food and had a great sense of humor. She also hooked us up with a frappe which was delicious as well. Overall a wonderful stop and I definitely recommend!

Shirley V.

Yelp
Having heard about the historic Red Arrow, we decided to try it. There is a very long dining bar and about 5 booths. Photos of politicians and celebrities line the walls. I'd be embarrassed, however, to bring anyone there. The diner is quite run down and dirty. After paying to park there, I decided to try it anyway. The Garden Salad I ordered was disappointing. It was piled with iceberg lettuce and topped with a tomato, green pepper, egg, onion, turkey, ham and cheese. The turkey was dark and light meat off the bone. It was ice cold and not very fresh. The ham was loaded with fat...just what someone eating salad for health reasons doesn't want. The cheese was low quality processed American cheese. The "ambiance" coupled with the poor food quality will keep me away. I must say the servers were pleasant but that doesn't make up for a disgusting meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Food: I got delivery. The food here was decent dinner food. It tasted good but wasn't amazing. I would go back for simple food that takes significant time/energy to make but I wouldn't go here for anything that I can easily cook myself.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
I visited the Red Arrow for the first time on a Monday night at 11:30 PM after being in the ER all day with my mom. The food was good. I tried the Guy F. Favorite (American Chop Suey) and it was just like my Memre' used to make. The service was also good. The ambiance - well... it's a diner/dive in a sketchy neighborhood, so it was just ok. The bathroom is in the kitchen... but they do have a good exhaust system - just weird to go through there I could totally see this as an awesome "after bar" eatery and I would definitely eat there again. The menu is huge and has basically everything you could want all day long.

Yelp
When I want greasy food this is what I mean in the best way possible. Chocolate chip pancakes here always hit , and the burgers are good too. Staff is always super nice and service is quick. Love the feeling of the place too, feels homey.

Yelp
On my recent visit to Manchester, I absolutely had to visit the Red Arrow Diner. For anyone who doesn't know this is a local staple that is frequently visited by politicians and celebrities alike. And it is well worth a visit. Now, it's a tiny place that gets busy so I'd suggest trying to head during off-hours to avoid a wait. If you can't, the line does move fairly quickly. When I visited, on a Saturday morning, I had to wait about 30 minutes or so. If you're a party of one your chances of snagging a single chair at the counter are pretty good. If you have three or four you're probably going to have to wait it out for a booth. The food and service were great. Your server will ask if you've been there before. If you haven't, they will ring a bell, tell everyone, and give you a sticker. If you like diners this is a diner amongst diners. It is a great experience and a lot of fun.

Yelp
This place is a gem. I've only gone twice but both times have been pleasant. It's open 24-7. Great chicken and rice soup! And for a meal, got a tuna melt with Cajun fries as the side. I enjoyed all of it! Great late night/after partying place to hit up, even for to-go. Especially for to-go, actually, because it's a little small in there. Definitely recommend! Also, shouts to Stacey who was so kind and helpful. She made my experience better.
