Red Bar Sushi and Best Thai Kitchen

**I don't recommend this place at all** I was actually on my way to the other thai but I wanted to try this new place. I'm thai food lover and this one was the worst one in DMV. The place was already crowded when I entered the door and I had to wait more than 30 mins to get seated, 8- adults were just standing being awkward. There was no proper host, and 3 servers just taking the order and food. They don't even bother to look at the new customers coming in. **Food took forever to come out !!!!!!! ** Sushi was a big NONO, not really fresh and no taste. Drunken noodle, crispy tilapia, eggplant with tofu were OK. Our papaya salad did not come out so I've informed the lady and she was going to check the kitchen. The cook came out with the salad and apologized for being so late, he also said the salad is on the house since it came out when we finished the food. When we received the check, it was charged. Our table did not mind getting charged and just paid the original and gave extra tips too since they do work hard. But just really bad service and super super super slow. The machine broke down at the end so we had to wait another minutes for credit card payment....ridiculous

Middleburg is a joke, if you aren't flaunting your money or driving a $100k car you aren't attended to which is exactly what happened here. We were a party of 2 and the restaurant was empty. We ordered drinks, soups & then about 25 min later the waitress finally came back and asked for our mains. Another 25 min goes by and our drinks show up along with the 3 sushi rolls we ordered. We finished those and she came back asking if we were done so I asked about our mains and soups? She said "oh it got really busy and i lost your ticket". At this point we decided to just cancel the rest of the food because we had already been there for over an hour and a half. The rest of the patrons (assuming mburg locals) were attended to VERY quickly, and received their food almost immediately. Will definitely not be back.

I can honestly say it’s been a very long time since I’ve had such a disappointing dining experience!! While the food itself was of good quality the service was extremely poor and made the visit unpleasant! We sat down and placed our drink and appetizer orders and main dishes a bit later, but about 30 minutes later, our main meals arrived before any appetizers! When we mentioned this to our server, she apologized and said she’d check on it, but another 30–45 minutes went by with no updates and no one checking in on us! When she finally returned and we asked for the check, she asked if we had ever received our appetizers which we hadn’t. We waited another 20–25 minutes with our card ready to pay, but again, no follow-up. Eventually, we walked to the front desk to pay and even then, no one apologized or acknowledged the poor service! It’s disappointing because the food was actually good, but the lack of attentiveness and accountability from the staff completely ruined the experience! We won’t be returning, as there are plenty of other restaurants with both great food and respectful, attentive service!

Delicious sushi with huge pieces of fish! So fresh! Kiya was especially kind and welcoming!

Great sushi placed tucked out of view in a beautiful little town. The dishes range from tried and true to interestingly creative. I would give them 5 stars, but like much of Middleburg, it's a bit overpriced.

LOVED finding this place!!! They have a great mix of Sushi and Japanese cuisine with a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Worth the drive if your looking for a great casual restaurant to relax at and enjoy really fresh wonderful food.

This has to be the best Thai and Sushi I’ve had in a very long time. My wife and I got the Drunken noodles, the cherry blossoms roll, the tear drop roll, and the Tonkotsu Ramen. None of or meal options disappointed. My favorite was the spicy drunken noodles with chicken and duck.

We were pleasantly surprised with Kaya's service, she totally made the experience with her attentiveness and charm! Food and drink were great. Will definitely be back.

In a small town with limited options for Asian food, this place is a diamond in the rough taking care of all my cravings and at a reasonable price for the area. Whether you're craving Thai, Japanese, or Chinese cuisine, there will be something on the menu for you and they actually do every culture's cuisine right. I've been to other Asian restaurants that try to do-it-all and have been dissatisfied, but so far everything I've tried from every area of the menu was awesome! Can't go wrong with the sushi (great specialty rolls too), bento boxes are a great bang for your buck and will leave you with leftovers, the pad Thai and drunken noodles were great, and every appetizer and soup I've tried so far has been great. I'm looking forward to exploring more of the menu in my coming trips to...dang I always forget the full name...

Our favorite Thai place in Middleburg! Family owned, small business with delicious food being served. Prices are right in the middle, quite a good portion of food, served per meal. Our favorites are the Miso soup and Pad See Ew! Service is OK but not going above and beyond which is kind of sad, as that is something they can easily improve on.

This place was amazing!!!! Very cute restaurant, and cozy. The service is the best you feel like you are at home! The staff everyone I went the best! The food was made fresh, delicious! Please check this place out. You will not be disappointed!

Cute little restaurant with a fairly extensive menu. Sushi was good as well as the bento box. The mango sticky rice was a miss, not mango season. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Would definitely come back again.

Drunken noodles were amazing. My husband ordered the udon Japanese noodles - no flavor at all (he requested "Thai hot" - she said she couldn't do that but she would bring us the "spice rack"). We both added chicken to the entree we ordered which added $4 to each dish, which was fine - but the amount of chicken was nominal and seemed like an insufficient amount. A nearby table had too much to drink and ruined the environment - it's a small seating area, so it was very uncomfortable and the only waitress did nothing about it. Will not return. Two stars because the drunken noodles were awesome!

I stayed in middleburg on the way home from NC to NJ and stopped here for linch and was blown away. I had the tuna crisps, avocado salad, dumplings and a specialty roll and every single thing was amazing.

It was a bit disappointing, our last visit. They changed location. They are now located in a old dingy "single family home" on a backroad. The tables and chairs were dirty and poorly positioned. The table was moving and had to improvise something to stick it under one of its legs so it would stop moving. The interior of this place looks like someone at some point picked up a couple guys from the front of 7Eleven and threw them inside and said "remodel this POS, I give you $500 each" It feels like even though they downgraded on location, they have upgraded the prices. Unless I hear they have remodeled the interior of this tentative of a restaurant I won't come again. It used to be one of my wife and I favorite sushi places in NoVA, which is why I won't hurt them with a lower star rating....

A bit torn and disappointed. Delivery has been hit or miss as of late. On multiple occasions we have had several dishes arrive barely warm. Like they were sitting for a while. When it arrives hot it's delicious.

The food was good. Slightly overpriced compared to surrounding areas but no major complaints. The Pad Thai was a good texture but not great to reheat (that's probably my problem.) We also had the udon which came with a funny spoon. We really liked the taste both both. The place was small and slightly hot and we were left standing in the front area for at least five minutes because there was only one server. We felt bad and awkward because it was literally in front of the door. We had to wait even though we had a reservation and the food took forever to come out. The food was a 5/5, service was 3.5/5.

Ramen eh but sushi incredible. Folksy but fun place, server was awesome. Bad English all around made me love it even more :). Took a curry to go, and it was really good too... Tiny place but wow.
