I've gone here several times for the lunch special when I'm in town. The food is ready not long after ordering, with the pizza arriving soon after the salad, though the pizza being the thin fast-fired style probably helps that as well. I find it good even if the thin style crust isn't my most favorite, though people who aren't fans of thin crust might think worse of it. The house salad is also good and I'm not usually a salad person. The staff is friendly, seating is plentiful even during busier times, and the bathrooms are clean.

Google
Great lunch special! We got a pizza/salad and a Grinder. The grinder had an olive mix that added depth! Added even more interest by dipping it in balsamic from the salad and oh my it was fantastic! Balboa was our pizza of choice and it was good! We both thought it lacked something to round out the flavor but couldn’t put our finger on what… all in all we would visit again next time we’re in the area.

We stopped in for the first time and my son said "I thought Pizza Hut was good until I tried Red Bench!" We will definitely be back. The kids liked it and there were great salads and appetizers. I highly recommend the calamari and meatballs.

Awesome place with a great lunch deal. Food was amazing and the service was outstanding. I would definitely visit again and recommend to all for a visit.

Google
Ok ladies and gentlemen we have a real contender in the ring for Italian food!! Top shelf service, but the food is amazing and not expensive!! Clean, quick service and again the food was so good that I felt bad for the other Italian restaurants in our area. Thank you Red Bench!! We love you guys.

Google
The most friendliness people and delicious food. The pizza can be split in half if you are undecided on what to eat. I got the Balboa and Margherita.

Google
I wish I had a photo but I scarfed the pizza down before I even thought about a review. I love this place. It maintained the old atmosphere of the former occupying pizzaria and has similar specialty pizzas. I got the pignoli, hold the pignolis and sub with mushrooms. It has a stinky cheese and a fruit chutney so if you love cheese and fruit plates, this is your pizza. The dough is on another level. Yes it's the soft, chewy, flavorful, possibly dislocate your jaw stuff dreams are made of. Best pizza in the valley. In Idaho. Oh and the folks working there are absolutely lovely hard working people. Thank you red bench ❤️ sorry I forgot to snap a photo. The pie was gorgeous for the few minutes it was on the tray. Update: back again and adding pix!

Google
Flew into Boise for the day and wanted some italian food. Everyone knows Yelp is hit or miss on the truly good places, but somehow I stumbled across this place, and boy, it does not dissappoint! They have lunch specials during the week and I got the personal margherita pizza with a simple salad. The flavors of the pizza were amazing, and so was the house salad dressing! The salad was fresh with shavings of parmesan. The atmosphere was cozy and the service from the staff was unprecedented. I plan on coming back here on my next trip. Kudos Red Bench for checking off all the boxes!

Yelp
Holy cow I cannot recommend Red Bench enough! The antipasto salad is incredible. We order it every single time we go! The flavor and texture of the salad is just phenomenal. As you can tell by the photos we have tried a lot of the menu (lol) I am a repeat customer and I am never disappointed. The meatballs are cooked to perfection and the red sauce is to die for! Service is quick but the restaurant gets busy so for a big group call ahead and let them know you're coming. It's a nice step up from fast casual, the music is current and trendy, the food is delicious! Can't go wrong with the pizza or the pasta, don't even think about skipping dessert get the flourless chocolate torte and thank me later. A family favorite of ours, you'll love Red Bench!

Yelp
Madison as server was awesome, food was very tasty. we showed up late, but they were great. The dining room was traditional italian.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday for lunch and had a really enjoyable meal. First off I have to say the service was wonderful. Our server was amazing. My son got a cheese pizza and my husband and I split a pizza. We got half Diana Ross and half Balboa with a large Caesar salad. I loved the Caesar salad. Fresh crisp and delicious. We enjoyed our pizzas too.

Yelp
Attended this pizza or Italian restaurant as of 8/10/25. The waitresses were friendly and nice and attentive. The food was great I ordered the lunch special came with a 8 inch pizza and a salad. Pizza tasted great and the salad was nice. Then I ordered the Tiramisu it looked fantastic but I will say it was missing the key factor that make it unique which was that hint of coffee. It was very filling and rich. Overall not a bad place!

Yelp
We had take out over a holiday weekend. Very quick. The pizzas were excellent. I had a Diana Ross. Everhone happy. Pizza was done perfectly, not greasy, fresh ingredients. Good base. Get the bread eith fresh lemony pesto too.

Yelp
Our birthday girl picked Red Bench to celebrate her special day for dinner. I remember this joint being Casanova pizza back in the day. It has been quite a few years since then. Walking in I appreciate the beautiful wood everywhere. It was kinda dark in there which sets a nice relaxing vibe. I love being able to see the chefs working their magic in the open style kitchen. We did start of with a handful of appetizers. We grabbed some cheese bread, risotto balls and wings. The wings were really good! It had a great sweet heat to it. It was perfectly paired with the salad dressing they served with it. The cheese bread was extra cheesy and buttery. The risotto balls had an excellent crunch on the outside and so soft in the middle. The marinara sauce paired with it was fantastic. I grabbed the antipasto salad for dinner. I did grab a small one since we had appetizers. It was the perfect amount. Each piece of green was nicely dressed. The roasted tomatoes and olives were a good wet each bite. The red onions were pickled and added a nice crunch to the salad. It was heavily showered with cheese on top. The cheese was light and airy. It wasn't a have addition to the salad. It was so good! The staff was super friendly, service was on point and the food was good! I look forward to bringing my husband here for a date night to try one of their pizzas!

Yelp
We called ahead to see if they could seat 25 and was put on hold. Saying they don't take reservations and it's first come first serve, all we asked was if they had room for 25 all at once and was repeatedly told first come first serve. Well we skipped this place as we drove past them it was empty and proceeded to another pizza spot.

ML M.

Yelp
Friendly, efficient service. I love that they have spritzes for $7.50! The pizza was... meh. It reminds me of the pizza I ate during my 1980s childhood. While providing a nice jolt of nostalgia, it wasn't a particularly thrilling culinary experience. The vibe on a Friday evening was mostly families with (very loud) kids. I am glad there is a place in town for families to go for pizza, but it wasn't the scene we were looking for, and since the food wasn't that great, we won't be back. Also, it is nice that they have an outdoor seating area, but they should put up some barriers so that it feels less like eating in a parking lot.

Yelp
As far as I'm concerned, this is the best pizza in town. They have a wide variety of options and unique Toppings. I mean who would think to pair pear-fig chutney and gorgonzola on a pizza - it is delicious! I ordered the lunch pie special and chose the Pinole with a house salad. The pie crust is perfectly thin. We were greeted at the door with a friendly smiling staff person and were promptly seated, our waiter checked on us regularly and was attentive to any thing we might need. I'm Looking forward to eating my way through the menu!

Yelp
Outstanding pizza, great atmosphere. This is a locally owned pizza spot with excellent pizza and great service.

Yelp
It's always amazing food, great service fair prices! We go almost weekly and love it.

Yelp
Ordered dinner for my daughter and her roommates. Easy on-lime ordering. I made a mistake on the time due to time zones. I called and they made the change easy and quickly. They deliver themselves so no mistakes with the food delivery apps and cold food. It was delivered on time and hot. They got a regular pizza, a gluten free one and the pufnstuf app. They raved about all of it. I would highly recommend this place. I will be going there when I am in town to give it a try.

Yelp
We had excellent service from the staff. The pizza exceeded all expectations. Want to go back for more traditional dishes.

Yelp
I love everything about Red Bench pizza! Let's begin with the food (which is obviously foremost in my mind when thinking about a restaurant). Specifically, I loved it. We ordered two pizzas, the Big Red Bench and the Pinoli, the latter being a vegetarian option for the less barbaric people at the table, which obviously did not include me. Both pizzas came together beautifully on the palate, but the Bench was my jam - big bold flavors, some savory, some spicy, a little bit sweet. The establishment also had a lovely selection of local craft beers - I wasn't going to have anything to drink with lunch, but their selection pulled me in like a tractor beam and I wasn't mad about it. Next, the ambiance - I loved it. The establishment has a very New York Italian feel to it (unexpected in Boise), with red checked tablecloths on the tables, old pictures on the walls, and just a generally homey feel. The service was excellent, attentive and accommodating - this was especially important because we (two pairs of adults and three children between us who were low on impulse control) were probably more of a burden than the average set of customers. And obviously we took pictures of our small pizza-eater on the big red bench at the front door of the restaurant. This is a lovely establishment and I recommend it!
google avatar

Yelp
Easy, huge selection, great staff! With artisanal style crust, creative toppings, and options for everyone, this spot is sure to satisfy the whole family. Not a pizza person? They have pasta, salads, and wings! I also love when a pizza place does half-and-half. We did half the big red bench and half prosciutto di parma! I would definitely come back to red bench for to go pizza or some of their family style options!

Yelp
Every single time I come here the food is outstanding. Servers are very friendly & personable, the restaurant itself is cozy and inviting, and they carry local brews. I seriously have had a 10/10 experience every single time.

Yelp
Me and my daughter came in for lunch and we have our Cerified service canine companion for independence dog when the server said "Oh, I am sorry we don't allowed dogs in here." Well there is no sign that says no dogs allowed or no services dogs allowed. I informed the gal that she is a certified service Dog I have all my credentials to show her if she wanted me to. She replied with " oh no she is if you say so..." that's when I told her about my credentials and that she is a real service dog! She said sit where ever you like.. She brought menus she asked if we knew about the lunch special she let me know about the lunch special. She brought us water and a soda for my daughter. We order our pizza and salad. Food was delicious my Cesar salad was just right and the pizza was so good greasy delicious. The server was okay

Yelp
Thai place is so cute definitely the best of both worlds with a more urban midtown vibe meets classic pizza parlor. I love that you can see the kitchen, and the staff are always hustling and bustling to get you your order quickly and efficiently. They did appear to be a little short staffed when we came in but they really worked their butts off to take care of us. They have a great lunch special that includes a personal pizza and a salad and it is the perfect amount of food. Their pizza is thin and crispy and I loved all the unique names and flavor profiles. They have an extremely extensive list of drinks to go along with the food as well and everything is really fairly priced. Overall, a great experience!

Yelp
Located just down the street from the hotel where I stay when I'm in Boise so it was very convenient for me. The place was busy at the dinner hour 5-6pm on a Saturday. I picked a booth off in the corner, Table 209 and my server was Micailey M. My amicable server was totally knowledgeable of the products and unobtrusive (i dislike servers checking up on me too often). I thought that because I was seated there that I would be overlooked and I was hangry. So, my server took my order. Got my cold double IPA craft brew in a few minutes. About 10 minutes later I got my fresh hot pie that was super tasty. I recommend a half and half. I had the Bubba and the other half was Sausage and Peppers. Oh so good! The atmosphere had a really nice chill vibe with red and white checkered table cloths, piped in music was just the right volume for pizza and brews crowd. Out front, there's a big red bench for taking pics. I'll be back!

Yelp
We love red bench! Fantastic salads. Get the creamy parm dressing!!! Desserts are great and pizzas are fresh. We always get our crispy because we think the crust is a bit soft otherwise.

Yelp
Great spot on the bench for a solid pie. Many pizzerias have come before, but I believe Red Bench will stand the test of time. It's got a good, local pizzeria vibe. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and a nice range of menu options. A good little happy hour menu to boot.

Yelp
I came with my mom and dad near closing time at 8:30 approximately. The ambiance was very nice it seems very well maintained and clean. For the food we got wings, hulk pizza and the margarita pizza. All of these were pretty good except the wings were on the spicy side in my opinion. What really made me choose to give this a 4 star was the waitress by how she was rushing us in a way that wasn't natural. Like I understand that you have a life outside of work but don't rush our meal so that you can get out at 9 pm sharp. Overall it was a great meal and the hulk pizza is amazing.

Yelp
pretty nice place to eat! :) the pizza is very good and theres a decent selection on the menu. the staff is always very nice and the wait for food to arrive is usually very short too :)

Yelp
Great Service, Great Pizza. Very nice place to eat!! I would definitely go back. Thanks Jerry Hayes

Yelp
Excellent food. Outstanding service. Even the playlist was 10/10. Stop what you're doing and come eat here!

Yelp
Cauliflower Crust pizza was INCREDIBLE! The pizza is gourmet. I love how you could get half and half options on your pizza when it's premium gourmet deliciousness. I wouldn't get the lasagna chip nachos again but everything else 10/10. Service always great!

Yelp
We came here this past week and overall really liked the experience. So you wonder why the 3 star and I will say had nothing to do with the service and now that I have been here I could navigate my ordering a little better to improve the experience. Inside is very clean with lots of seating inside and out. Once sat our super friendly waitress got our drink and appetizer order which consisted of cesar salad and habanero wings. Cesar as actually perfect and had great flavor especially liked the addition of the capers. The wings while they had great flavor needed to be cooked longer for my tastes. The habanero sauce is spicy however the wings were a little gummy. For pizza we had the Diana Ross Pizza, Maui Wowi Pizza and their sausage and pepperoni Pizza. Our favorite from a flavor standpoint was the Maui Wowi with the kick of jalapeños. What fell fly to me is all the pizza while hot was almost impossible to pick up because of the underside being so underdone compared to the top. I like my pizza to not have all the toppings slide off. Next time I would order all the pizzas well done and I am sure that would do the trick. We will for sure come back for another try especially some of their other Italian dinner items that looked delicious.

Megan J.

Yelp
Magic mushroom pizza was one of the best I've had! As well as our dessert the cannoli. Our server ( tall blond) can't remember her name was excellent! Very nice and attentive. love this place.

Yelp
Pros- Server Haley was amazing! Great personality, knew the menu well, offering perfect suggestions, very friendly and warm spirit. Portion sizes on point. Goldilocks perfect size. We left full, but not over-stuffed and no need for boxes. Nice finishing touches on all dishes, makes for excellent flavor profiles and eye appeal. See my photos! Inventive and mouth-watering pizza topping combinations. We will surely return to try more of them. I couldn't be more pleased that they offer 3 types of olives and more than 7 types of cheese! Impressed that they offer aioli with the calamari as I'm over everyone else serving marinara always. Food was prepared and served quickly, arriving at the desired temperatures. Antipasto salad dressing was incredibly delicious. Cons - Unfortunately they had ran out of iced tea earlier in the day and decided not to prepare more. $2-$3 per topping on build-your-own pizza adds up quickly, easily doubling the price of a pizza. Calamari was literally the worst that I've ever tasted. Small, over-fried, greasy yet falling apart and merely tasting of oil, nothing else. I didn't ask for an exchange or it to be taken off. With so many other quality items, I was shocked they would serve this. Tip: get better grade calamari. They were slow when we dined, but pizza toppings were carelessly scattered as if they were rushed. Focaccia starter was surprisingly bland and missing the "bite" of well-made bread We will return to try more of the menu and hopefully see Haley again. Plus her dessert descriptions left us wishing we had room on our bellies. Next time

Yelp
This was a surprising find. I can't have gluten or eggs, and many pizza crusts contain both. This place had TWO gluten-free crusts! One cauliflower and one GF thin crust. No eggs in either. I opted for the cauliflower since it came in a 12-inch size, and I have to tell you nobody knew the difference! It held up nicely to the toppings, but had a nice chew to it. Very good. As for toppings, we did a Maui Wowi on one half (w/red sauce instead of alfredo) and the Diana Ross on the other half. Both were really good!Know that they use fresh jalapenos, so your pizza will bite back, depending on what you order. :) You can customize or build your own pizza too, and they carry more ingredients than your average joint. The pizza was great, but what caused me to add the extra star was the customer service. When I called to put in my order, I was directed to their online ordering system which didn't let me do half and half orders so I put in the order as a full pizza and called back to explain and make the change over the phone. I was also in a hotel and wasn't sure how that was going to work. The gal who helped me was new, but took my notes, watched for my order to come up, and got the order perfect and made sure it was brought up to our hotel room, all pretty quick too - and it was a busy weekend in Boise! They killed it, and I really appreciated their attention to detail. Would definitely order from there again.
google avatar

Caitlyn S.

Yelp
Good pizza! They have two options for GF crust: 12 " cauliflower or 10 " thin crust. Love that! The toppings were good and evenly spread out on both the Diana Ross and sausage and peppers that my husband got. It was cooked thoroughly too; oftentimes GF pizza isn't cooked fully, at least in my experience. We both got salads, which weren't super exciting. The pizza was definitely worth the trip and we will come back! They also seem to have several deals depending on the day of the week too.

Yelp
Every time I go to Red Bench Pizza, (off of Vista ave in Boise ID) it never fails! I love everything on that menu, you can't go wrong with the place! The service is friendly, the food is hot, the drinks are delicious, and you get a watch all your food being made! It's so awesome seeing the cooks make your food, they seem to enjoy tossing the pizzas, and having conversation with each other. Everyone always seems to be in a great mood! The atmosphere overall is just welcoming and relaxed! It's pretty much the only place I like to go when I'm by myself! Not only by myself, but I've introduced this place to all my friends, and they love it too!!! I always get the Antipasto salad, with a half Margherita (light red pizza sauce), and half bacon and clam pizza!! It just hits the spot! Never thought clams would go good with pizza but let me tell you it sure does!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious pizza with lovely, humble and attentive staff. The environment is cozy and I love the open kitchen. The bar is nice and there are 2 TVs to watch sports. The appetizers and salads are great, and the wine list is small but good. Usually you can walk in and get a table, but calling ahead may be recommended on a busy night. The risotto and pastas dishes are good as well. My favorite pizzas are the spicy chicken Alfredo pie and the spicy pepperoni. Thin, crispy crust and flavorful sauces and toppings. Give it a shot and you'll love this little neighborhood joint!
google avatar

Yelp
I want to start off by saying the customer service is phenomenal. They had an internet issue when we arrived which caused a lot of ordering issues. Nevertheless, the manager and the employees were on top of it from the get go, making sure that each customer's order was fulfilled in a timely manner. This alone makes me want to continuously recommend this restaurant and continue to go back again and again. The pizzas were also very tasty. We ordered the Pinoli pizza and the Diana Ross pizza and they were both incredible. Everything tasted fresh and the ingredients blended together perfectly!!

Yelp
I have to admit that Red Bench Pizza is probably one of the top five places for me to get pizza. The staff is friendly and very professional. Pizzas are great too.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh pizza in a fun atmosphere! The service was great and I felt like I was a friend walking into a friend's establishment!
google avatar

Jenny R.

Yelp
All I can say is wow! The gluten-free cauliflower crust is amazing! It's so good I thought it was a regular flour crust at first. I've been gf for five years and this is the best gf pizza crust I've ever had. I just found out they're starting delivery service too. I will definitely be getting many more pizzas from Red Bench in future. Thank you!
google avatar

Cam C.

Yelp
We ordered delivery from here a few nights ago and their pizza is definitely the best I've had in Boise! We ordered a small antipasto salad (the dressing is KILLER), an Italian pizza, and a Sausage and Peppers pizza. The food was outstanding! We will definitely be checking out more of the menu ASAP!
google avatar

Anthea F.

Yelp
I love Red Bench. I have eaten there many times, but this was my first time using their free delivery service. They showed up exactly when they said they would, but this is how my pizza looked when it arrived. Unique to say the least, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Just a bit pricey for a 12-inch pizza.

Yelp
The Hulk pizza was delicious and the staff were very friendly.

Yelp
It's always a bonus when an Italian joint offers capicolo, the spicy Italian ham known as gabagool on the long-running TV hit The Sopranos. I wasn't familiar with it until I went to college in Eugene, Ore., and the old Acuardi's Old Town Pizza offered it. I love pepperoni, but it isn't even an Italian invention, but capicola is the real deal. Miserable in this week's 100-degree weather, I decided to leave the heat off in the kitchen at home and looked up Pizzeria Sazio [Edit: apparently since this review was written, they've changed their name to Red Bench Pizza.] online. It even had a button to place an order from the computer. It worked fine, but other than a confirmation page, I didn't get an email or any indication of when to pick it up. The whole time I was driving to the restaurant, I wondered whether I had indeed placed an order or not. No worries. It was ready when I got there. It might not have mattered. With the blistering Marri Forno pizza oven cranking away at nearly 700 degrees, it wouldn't have taken long to cook one from scratch. I can't say anything about service, since I got my pizza to go. Two of my fellow Yelp Elite friends, whose judgments I trust, were underwhelmed by their visits in January and February. I hope those issues have been cleared up. While Pizzeria Sazio isn't in the same class as my favorite pizza places, Apizza Scholls and Ken's Artisan Pizza, both in Portland, they do a decent job. The $13 pizza was good. It's nice to see a pizza restaurant at the same location that Casanova Pizzeria occupied for a dozen years. Owner Dan Guild lost his lease and shut down Casanova on Valentine's Day 2015. The building's owner, Tom Allegrezza, thought he could do a better job offering pizza. He opened his own shop, Orbit-Fire Pizzeria, a few months after Casanova shut down. After another few months, it became Allegrezza's Italian Cuisine. The name change didn't matter. It soon closed and Pizzeria Sazio, owned by Kacey Montgomery and Shannon Lincoln, who also run Juniper on 8th Street, opened in January.

Yelp
First visit to this spot last night and I was impressed! Cozy interior with chill vibes. The drink selection was great and the pizza menu was impressive! Lots of different variations and unique choices! The Maui wowi was delicious!! Can't wait to go back and try more pizzas!!
google avatar

Amee S.

Yelp
One of the best little secrets in Boise. The best Antipasto salad I have ever had. Amazing Maui Wowi pizza! Mozzarella/chèvre/pineapple Chutney/jalapeño prosciutto/arugula and Alfredo sauce!!!! Best food in Boise!
google avatar

Sandra G.

Yelp
We orderd our food to go. We were very impressed. And will be back to dine in soon! We had the chicken alfredo, the fried risotto balls and the cheese bread. Everything was great. There should be more chicken on the alfredo 5 skinny strips was pretty bare. And the chicken was a touch over done. *charred* just a bit much. Each dish was flavor packed and service was GREAT! the vibe inside looked fun and we look forward to dining there soon. Note to those using ubereats...HUGE price differences I suggest u just pick up your order or dine in as the atmosphere was quite nice!

Yelp
Friendly, convenient, a relaxing dining experience- and clean!! Server was attentive & personable. We got the lunch special- I had gluten free pizza and a salad. 10/10 for taste and presentation! And of course what better paired with than a cider and glass of wine? This is not your average pizza place with average pizza taste- It is perfect for a date or going out with friends and family. Recommend highly!!

Yelp
This place really went downhill the past couple years. Not surprised the Eagle location went out of business. Won't ever be back.
google avatar

Salim N.

Yelp
We had a great Caesar salad and our pesto pizza was the bomb. My kids (18 and 13) ordered the spicy pepperoni pizza and practically inhaled it once it arrived. They LOVED it and immediately asked if we could eat here again (we were visiting from Texas). We ended up coming back another night before we left and they were beyond thrilled. I also wanted to add the service was fantastic. Great both nights with the pizza coming out right after we finished our salads. This place RULES!
google avatar

Kati P.

Yelp
Great little pizza joint! One of the few non-fastfood restaurants that was open on Christmas Eve. They have a varied menu of pizzas and toppings so there should be something for everyone. I had the Sausage & Peppers. It was good pizza, didn't knock my socks off, but probably one of the better pizzas in Boise. Service was quick - our pizzas arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. Each pizza on the menu is 12" so you can either share or order for yourself and take home some leftovers. The small pie size makes it kind of pricey since the pizzas range from $12-$17 and only feed two people.
google avatar

Mandi S.

Yelp
The pizza was fresh and tasty. These pizzas have higher quality ingredients so if you are used to ordering American style pizzas please be prepared for something different. I ordered online and my absent mind ordered antipasto appetizer instead of the salad so I was surprised when my husband brought it home. Their salad is typically amazing so that made me a little sad...lol obviously my own mistake. We ended up using the antipasto to add ingredients to our pizzas. Flavors are mild and nothing that knocks you off your seat. Crust was just right. Expect higher prices for less.
