Red Bicycle Coffee & Crepes Opens Its Biggest Location Yet in The Nations - Eater Nashville

"Red Bicycle opened their newest location at 712 51st Avenue North in The Nations this weekend, in what is their biggest space yet. This location now serves beer and wine and offers more than 40 different crepe options, including breakfast crepes and those with sweet or savory fillings. The menu also includes gluten-free options, sandwiches, tacos, salads, and baked goods. Jordan Rodgers, the fiance of former Bachelorette star Jojo Fletcher, is a partner in this newest Red Bicycle on 51st. The cafe originated in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 2008, and this is the third Nashville location." - Delia Jo Ramsey

An insider tip from a barista who works there: There’s a same amount of espresso in their 12oz and 16oz Lattes, the 16oz just got more milk. The price difference of $0.50 reflects that accurately. I got 16oz latte and decided to try their 12oz next time for stronger coffee kick. Even the syrups/other flavors got diluted in 16oz. I’m so glad to have checked out this location at the Nations because their Germantown location used to be always closed when I lived in Germantown (at least 7-8 times I went there when they were supposed to be open but just decided to close). This is a much larger location, plenty of parking outside and enormous seating area inside. How lovely it is to find out that they’re dog friendly, so feel free to bring your dog here. The staff was friendly even at the tail end of the day at closing hour. I was pleasantly surprised to find a plenty of food options here if you wanna grab dinner but your friend wants to grab a cup of coffee — this is a perfect place. There were a lot of options on their daily specials too. There’s an Avocado Toast on the menu too, which is my go-to order for breakfast every time. Also, the happy hour runs all the way till closing time so that’s awesome. They’re open longer than most local coffee shops are, till 7pm but after looking at their food/cocktail options, I wish they were open longer. I loved the seating area and the atmosphere here. I also liked the parking situation in this area. Staff was friendly. So, I’m inclined to go there again and try their 12oz coffee. For me, coffee is the most important factor when evaluating a coffee shop, so fingers crossed for next time.. I really want to like the coffee more, and change my rating from 3/5 to 4/5 in future.

I've been to one other location, but this one wasn't a great experience. Food took at least 35 minutes, possibly 45. I stopped counting so I wouldn't get mad. Food was very bland, unlike the other location. Coffee was mid. The seating is mostly in huge community style tables and many of them had only two people at them. Just awkward. The outside tables were dirty or in the sun.

Pretty good coffee and crepe shop. It's a big place with lots of space which is nice. The best thing you can get is the O.G breakfast sandwich get it on a biscuit with the chorizo and sub pepper jack cheese and you have one of the best biscuit sandwiches around. The thin griddled biscuit stands up to the chorizo and the egg gives some moisture with a hint of pepper from the cheese this Mexican biscuit is worth it. I do wish they'd do more with their biscuits even just a gravy biscuit platter would be nice. Beyond this awesome sandwich though not much else here that isn't at a dozen other coffee shops. Atmosphere is pretty plain but large tables great for groups. I cannot recommend the crepes at all just not good execution or concept. The Florentine crepe was described by my partner as someone's sad diet omelette. The taste was super bland, no seasoning and tasteless cheese shreds behind a plain stiff crepe that we couldn't finish. The mexi was a little better, crepe again thick and stiff but overall it was very wet and saucy accompanied by a plain salsa. Coffee was the butter beer which was warm and caramel tasting without being too cloying sweet so that was good. Overall for the nearly 50 dollars spent I was underwhelmed. If not for that one biscuit sandwich that saves this breakfast I'd have preferred somewhere else at this price point. I'll come back for the biscuits though.

Truly fantastic coffee shop with great food options! There was some kind of kitchen fire earlier which gave the entire shop a smokey, burnt smell... Unfortunately, that smell followed me home through my clothes and bag. This did impact the atmospheric experience, but the drinks and food made up for it!

This is such a nice addition to the neighborhood. Delicious, nice assortment of food. Not only crepes but good sandwiches, wraps, burritos, and tacos. Friendly staff and dog friendly.

A relaxed chill vibe with plenty of tables and seating. We got a chicken and spinach Crêpe which was quite tasty, and eggs bacon and toast which was also good. They have cappuccino and other coffees, also wines of various sorts. Friendly, helpful waitstaff.

Crepe was amazing - very unique flavors. I had the one with Apple, goat cheese, caramel - so good! Service was very slow, busy holiday weekend and fun vibe, but keep in mind if in a hurry. Dogs were allowed in, on leashes, too.

I love the Red Bicycle! Food, drinks, service and atmosphere are amazing! The O.G. and Crimson Berry(hot or cold) are my go-to's. So yummy. It's great if you're looking for a spot to eat with a friend or to get some work done. So many options available. Outdoor seating is available too.
