Red Dot Design Museum

Interesting museum. There was nobody else there when I went in (5pmish on a Thursday) so could read through everything in peace. Staff were friendly and helpful. The $12 ticket comes with a $5 coupon for the gift shop which was nice, so I got a souvenir for much cheaper. Recommended for people with an interest in product design.

12 dollar ticket comes with 5$ voucher. Exhibits were somewhat interesting, but lots were just of concepts that don't exist and some seemed more like ads. Well air-conditioned, could use some chairs inside exhibit area

Had a good laugh at the "innovative concepts". Most items are very dated and failed due to being completely useless, or just completely normal products that you could buy at a mall. There's nothing interactive, only reading a bunch of print outs about concepts and the overuse of the phrase AI is nauseating. Some items felt like a total joke to see if the guest would second guess a pizza cutter on a pedestal behind glass. Save your money and just Google "tech concepts 2018" and you'll have the same exact experience. Or even better, goto ikea and buy your blender or camping chair.. 2 star because the staff is friendly.

Red Dot Design Museum is a great design concept museum showcasing innovative and award-winning designs from around the world. As a design student, I learned a lot from observing how concepts are translated into real products. It’s inspiring, educational, and definitely worth a visit.

I really loved my visit to the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore and happily rate it 5 stars. It’s a small but fascinating boutique museum at Marina Bay that showcases a wide range of award‑winning designs from around the world, which are presented in a clear and inspiring way. The space is modern, calm, and easy to explore, so you can really take your time to appreciate each piece and the ideas behind it. I especially enjoyed the design shop, which offers carefully curated, well‑designed products that make unique and meaningful gifts, not just typical souvenirs. With its creative atmosphere, great location by the waterfront, and thoughtful exhibitions, the Red Dot Design Museum is a must‑visit in Singapore for anyone interested in design and innovation.

Wonderful museum we stumbled across. Fascinating designs organised throughout the museum and interactive sections. Very much enjoyed. Fun to arrange images of different designs as attached!

It's a quick hop on hop off museum, it's definitely worth to check it out for a few minutes if you are interested in design, creativity, and product. It's quite unique, and it's totally free. Not to mention that it's near Bayfront station

The museum items were interesting but I found the place too small. If you like innovative products, you'll find some cool unique items to learn about. Be warned- it feel like a quick pit stop gallery rather than a full museum.

Definitely do the deal on Klook, around $10 SGD and comes with a $5 SGD voucher for the store (though you will quickly find that a lot of the fancy designs might be a little - a lot - higher than that). It's fun for a little stroll and think about the various designs that are displayed, but overall it's kind of like a self guided tour where some of the displays have the actual item and some are just photos. The whole area is not large and will take less than an hour to get through if you just skim instead of reading and discussing more extensively. You enter through the museum gift shop. Tip is to start on the first floor and make your way upstairs. Not rated high because I expected a lot more interactive items and some of the displays did not have the item and just had a picture of it

I live in the area and walk by the Red Dot Design Museum most days, but it was only today that I walked in. It cost $6.40SGD. When you walk in, you actually walk into their museum store and cafe. There is no charge at this point and even if you do not want to see the little museum, their little shop sells interesting, unique, contemporary gift items and is worthy of a drop in. Their little cafe that is attached sells drinks and easy light bites to enjoy either at inside seating our outside on the patio. The museum itself showcases Red Dot design winners. What is a Red Dot design winner you ask? Red Dot is an international product and communication design competition featuring design and prototypes in the launch or future launch of products worldwide. From lighting to clothing and robots to backpacks, this space features design boards and some actual products on display. It is interesting, requires your curious creative brain thinking cap and is a lot of reading signage to explain products and the accompanying pictures of those products. The place is not big and also not extensive, although very interesting in general. So while you are walking around Marina Bay and need a stop that is not all retail in the coolness of indoors, maybe pop in for a bit to learn something about the future of design.

There were chairs and toilet paper for show??? This is NOT a museum. This is not a museum and the word museum should be DELETED off the name.

3.5 right now special deal on klook for gardens by the bay tickets and then $6 spend shop, $4 spend food coupons here when picking up tickets. wish the exhibits were more interactive, but definitely some good design examples. food ok.

Great place to visit to buy a fabulous piece of art. Exhibitions worth the time. We always visit when in Singapore.
