We had a pleasant experience here at red fish taco, it was our first time dinning and the staff was extremely friendly and happy! The menu had many options and the food was delicious. They also offer outdoor seating and is just a walk from the beach. 10/10 recommended

After we made it to our vacation rental, I took my family to this place for their first time eating in Florida. The staff were timely and worked diligently, and the environment was amazing. I couldn’t believe how tasty their nachos were! I am so happy that we came here for my family’s first meal in Florida. Thanks for hosting us Texans! 😊

The Ordering is easy at the counter! There is an awesome and affordable selection of appetizers, entrees, Ala carte, and kids menu! Not to mention the drinks and cocktails are delicious 🍹I had the pineapple margarita, on the rocks, and it’s the best! Beer is frosty cold! The seafood queso is delicious, and the chips are light & have a nice seasoning to them! Highly recommend dining and relaxing here!

We are here on the last night of our trip. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. The fire roasted salsa and queso were delicious. I had the shrimp tacos and they were up there as some of the best shrimp tacos I think I’ve ever had. My wife is vegetarian and had the quesadilla and said it was great as well. They had live music outside on the patio on one side of the restaurant and the other side had large tables which were perfect for our group of 14. Overall, the best food we had eating out on our trip.

We have been coming to Blue Mountain Neach for a couple of years and now that our kids are older, we've been exploring more places to eat. Red Fish Taco Bar came up and it did not disappoint! We arrived early to make sure we had good seats for the live music on Saturday night. Plenty of space to enjoy the band, excellent food, and wonderful, friendly service. We will be back!!

Google
Oh my goodness! My mouth is still watering from the delicious queso and beef fajitas. Red Fish Taco is a must try if you are in the area. The restaurant was beautiful inside and the ease of ordering at the counter was so nice. We can’t stop talking about the fajitas that are served with homemade tortillas. We will definitely be back.

Went with 10 family members and everyone had something they enjoyed. Quick service and easy seating.

This place is definitely a must visit on 30A. We stayed at a condo across the street and were just looking for a quick bite to eat. It was Cinqo de Mayo so we thought tacos would be a good choice. It was outstanding. We ordered at the bar and were able to find a couple of high top seats outside. The chips and queso were fresh and warm. The margaritas were nice and cold. The shrimp quesadilla was a total star and I wish I had one now writing this review. The chicken street tacos were also fantastic. The elote was fresh, hot a delicious. We stayed for a while to listen to the band and have a couple of drinks. We enjoyed the entire experience and had a beautiful evening. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
All I have to say is THANK GOD for the Dawson group breathing new life into this restaurant and menus. The food was below average prior to the management change and the inside felt like a hollister store in the mall in 2007 with how dark it was. BUT NOW The food quality has drastically improved and they have kept the live music that the locals love. My husband and I go here multiple times a month and always bring friends or family when they are in town. If you're a local or here on vacay do yourself a favor and come to redfish for the best fajitas and great drinks!

Yelp
This is a genuine shame. Red Fish Taco was a staple of my family and I for many many years. Having fantastic food, great service and a homey, welcoming atmosphere. The Dawson Group has RUINED my favorite restaurant on 30A. Not only has the food quality DRASTICALLY decreased, but the ENTIRE MENU has nearly doubled in price. I used to be able to get a brisket quesadilla a side of street corn AND a drink for $20 or less. Now, a quesadilla ALONE is $14, adding brisket is $7 MORE and a simple sweet tea is $3. Not to mention the street corn is no longer street corn. It's now comes in a bowl filled with taco seasoning claiming it's "Elote". The "Elote" (on the menu it claims to be "corn cut off the Cobb") is now canned corn with taco seasoning, butter and tomato's. Dawson Group, you should be ASHAMED of yourselves. Taking a PERFECT business and changing everything about it when nothing was wrong in the first place. Renovating a place, then jacking up the prices to pay for it is not the way to run a business. No one asked for this. No one. I'm extremely disappointed in this "new management" and I will NOT be returning.

Yelp
Had a great meal with the family at Red Fish! We ordered at the counter, and opted to eat indoors where our group found a large table where we could sit together. There was seating outdoors with patio heaters but it was pretty busy due to the live music that night. Our food was brought out quickly and it was piping hot. You could grab your own silverware, napkins and condiments (the green sauce is my fave!!) and take out containers too at a self service station. Our dishes were cleared quickly when we were finished - the staff were very attentive and efficient. The smoked brisket tacos were fantastic, the grouper tacos were great, the birria tacos were excellent - everyone was happy with the portions and great flavors. We shared a tres dippers and it was a generous portion of salsa, guac and queso with chips (still warm) - so good! Highly recommend Red Fish Tacos for a casual night out.

Yelp
Every year we come to the area for the week and this is our first time actually dining here. I'm mad at myself for not going all the times before. They do get crowded but where we stay at, we can walk here. Please order the chips n salsa the chips are perfectly seasoned, Salsa is kinda chunky and flavorful and with just a hint of spice....very good. The shrimp tacos 10/10, shrimp very plump and a nice size. We will continue to go back soth our yearly visits to the area

Yelp
We're back, and we're at the beach! #GoodVibesAndTanLines This was my favorite meal at Red Fish yet. Love me a fried shrimp and a creamy sauce #awoooOOOGAA Great ambiance after the new reno inside, I see you Red Fish!! Service was good except when they told me they don't have fried fish.... Girl I know you lying!!! They thought they had me - but one thing about me is I'm gonna sniff out fried shrimp like a cartoon character floating towards a yummy scent from a windowsill. It be calling out to me! Trust, I'll be back.

Tammie C.

Yelp
The food was delicious, the music was entertaining, service was excellent but the Key Lime pie was YUM!
google avatar

Graeme H.

Yelp
Excellent food and great service. Smoked links are a great extra. They've redone the inside too so very nice.

Yelp
This place was a huge disappointment. The kid's meal is a single taco for $12 - the chicken is veryyy spicy for a child item. The fries were a soggy wedge fry. Worst kids meal I've seen in a long time. The rest of the food we ordered was "meh" at best. Certainly not worth $100 for four people - no one left full or happy. Hate this experience because we genuinely enjoyed this place last year when we came. There are way too many good restaurants nearby to waste money here.

Susan S.

Yelp
Great location to Blue Mountain Beach.. Easy walk. Wait staff at counter was friendly. More like a fast food restaurant with dining room prices. Need to order a take out in person. Busy nights they do not answer the phone.
google avatar

Kelly A.

Yelp
Come here every year in vacay and enjoy it. This year they have remodeled and made the place somewhat nicer. Good food and service. Live music and very casual.

Sadie C.

Yelp
The food was not that good I got to eat goat cheese l quesadillas and it was not good the texture and the lingering flavor of the goat cheese was not good I forced myself to eat it I usually like goat cheese but this was not it and then my drink was 4 dollars that's crazy. It was ok tho.fast service. And might I add the chips salsa and queso were phenomenal!

Erin C.

Yelp
First time back since new owner. Don't understand why they redid the place or changed the food it was good how it was. Bummer. Will probably not be back.

Yelp
5 stars for alcoholic slushies, 3.5 stars for food. We went here three times. We found the alcoholic slushies to be strong and delicious, particularly the mezcal based. $16 but worth it. Probably not good to order if you are driving. Location is nice - a welcome burst of air conditioning on a hot summer day. TVs with sports. We found the food decent. Across the visits we have various appetizers and tacos. The queso and salsa are both good. Price point for food was a little high but in line with the area. No complaints on the food but nothing wowed us. We didn't love the service situation / ordering at counter / lack of physical menus. A personal preference but made it harder to organize our group and it's pretty dark at the counter looking at the menus. Wait on the longer side even when it wasn't busy. The last time we returned for the slushies alone. This is the way.

Yelp
The food and prices are average for the area. Nothing special to be honest. It was a must-do prior to the menu change. They used to have the best fish tacos anywhere in the area (absolutely stuffed with redfish) and an awesome skillet of white queso filled with shrimp that were very, very reasonably priced. Not cheap (you're at a beach restaurant of course) but absolutely worth every penny. Also, flour tortillas used to be the standard and now they use corn (maybe you can order flour, not sure). We "discovered" this place only 2 years ago and it became our go-to restaurant for at least 3 meals per week. Sorry to say I don't expect us to go back.

Kevin C.

Yelp
This place will never be the same because of the new ownership. We used to eat here every time we visited the area multiple times a year and it was always delicious. This has been a staple for when we first get down here. My fish taco barely had any fish and was on a corn tortilla, which if you like those then it might not be bad to you but I was used to it being served on flour. They have completely gutted the whole menu that used to be there and decided to play around with their recipes and have no regard to the old menu at all. It is fine if you want to incorporate your recipes but do those in addition to the current menu. The old term if it is not broke then do not fix it is completely accurate especially now. The white queso has been replaced with yellow queso which is very onion forward and honestly not very good. My wife has always chosen the chicken carnitas tacos and loves them however those have been changed drastically. This review is so sad to post. We truly did love this place. We always recommended it to all of our friends and family however sadly I would never recommend this place to anyone else and we won't be back.

Yelp
Dawson Group destroys yet another local spot. You took something that was loved by so many and turned it into a tourist dump. Horrible overpriced food and the interior has all the charm of a hospital waiting room. All the positive reviews are from before it was bought out. Also don't count on the advertised nightly live music
google avatar

Barrett P.

Yelp
We had a fantastic time at Red Fish Taco. The brisket quesadillas were perhaps the best quesadillas ever. 10/10 no question. We literally ordered a second serving after eating our whole meals because it was so good. Prices were excellent and service quick. The live music was mid-tier. Only improvement would be more guac on the quesadillas!

B E.

Yelp
Pretty good tacos and service was cafeteria style. Fun vine with live music. Great location. The food didn't blow us away - just average.
google avatar

Brooke N.

Yelp
Sat at the bar and got drinks (daiquiri and spicy margarita). Service was fast and the restaurant wasn't too crowded at 6 on a Thursday. Prices were a little high for a frozen drink (that tasted just ok), but pretty on par for other touristy places.

Tarrance J.

Yelp
Honestly, I went to Red Fish Taco expecting the best and that's what i received. The service was great and the bussers were amazing. I've never had such caring and attentive people take care of me and my family. Red Fish Taco has some amazing workers.
google avatar

Yelp
Fun place! Seat yourself, order at the bar. They have live music that is a blast! Food is great. I ordered firecracker shrimp salad- it had a ton of shrimp, flavorful, and HUGE salad. I also got the top shelf marg and it was good. I'm picky about my margs and don't like them sweet. This was pretty good. Easy place to walk to if you're in the area. I'd go back.

Denise J.

Yelp
So sad Totally ruined one of our favorite spots to dine and listen to local musicians! The new decor is just "Why?" Why? Why Did you change it?? More seating? Don't think so? It's not chill and beach vibey anymore. It's generic food court looking. Gonna miss my chicken thigh taco salad!! And the prices..... Yikes! 2 standard ground beef tacos, $14!! No sides.. nothing! Good Luck! You may get some new patrons that don't know any better, but as a local, We'll definitely not be back.
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
Good food, great vibe! We had the red fish taco salad and chips and salsa. The frozen margaritas were so good!
google avatar

MIlton S.

Yelp
The food is quite good, and I am fond of their chicken thigh salad. Live music most nights too! River Dan is great!
google avatar

Yelp
Best fish tacos and guacamole ever!!! Great service very accommodating and the music and seating is awesome!

Yelp
We were excited to try this place but nearly immediately turned off from it when we arrived. There was a line of 20 people deep ordering from one person at a register. I had taken a photo of the menu and knew what we wanted but the wait was so long. So much staff! Why not more people taking orders? It took a long time to place the order but not very long to get the food, I forgot to order one thing and there was NO WAY I was getting back in line to order the key lime pie that I forgot. Catfish tacos were blah and falling apart, queso was lukewarm and had noooooo flavor to speak of and the chips were stale. My quesadilla with shredded chicken was pretty good though, and they were nice enough to give me a few pieces of cabbage on the side. We wouldn't return or recommend this place for Mexican food but people likely come here since there are few options of good Mexican food in the area. We didn't do drinks this night but maybe they are good. They don't allow bar seating, I asked. Lots of TVs for sports which is cool. Overall the set up of it all could totally improve, food could improve. They likely aren't storing their chips air tight since they were stale. Not even sure who you'd tell about it since the one person taking orders is slammed and has bigger issues taking care of all those people.

Marcy E.

Yelp
Ate lunch here before taking off for the airport. Great flavors. GREAT salsa. Great amount of fish in the tacos, and a great Ranch Water! Super pleased. Lots of TVs for football and a great ambiance.
google avatar

Eric U.

Yelp
Excellent food and great live music! Shrimp quesadilla is outstanding and the atmosphere is great.
google avatar

Richard B.

Yelp
What a neat place with excellent food and loads of choices. Little mix between self serve and service that just works. Nice vibe and atmosphere. If you are down that way be sure to check it out.

Karen D.

Yelp
So sad. Feels like we lost a friend. We used to eat here often and enjoy the live music. RFT felt like a secret gem. We heard there was a change in ownership and decided to check it out. New look, different menu and very slow service. Short summary- won't be back.

Frank R.

Yelp
Wow! Have lived down here since 2012. Food is much improved. Had the new fajitas today and they were the best i have ever had. And I am from Texas! They also have home made flour tortillas now! I don't know of another place in the area that does this. Well done!

Dawn D.

Yelp
What can I say! They ruined a good thing. Our favorite local watering hole & quick bites has turned into a a 5 Guys. We used to go at least 2x/month. We would have been back sooner but I kept waiting for the daily specials to come back. Didn't happen so we took a chance. I had heard it wasn't what it used to be but I didn't think it could change beyond recognition. The decor is truly a 5 guys vibe. The bar tender told me he's heard that all the time. I can get past decor - cannot get past the food. The salsa was colored water. I actually told them this was the worst salsa I'd ever had. I didn't know what it was. So I asked for queso instead - tasted like the can. Needless to say we had our one drink & chips & left. Didn't get to try out our favorites. Black beans, elote, firecracker shrimp, chicken tacos, jerk chicken & tamales - probably won't. It is such a shame - it was the place that we brought all of our visitors for a fun night of drinks, food & music. I am sure the math adds for the owner - not for me. Good luck. Got a 2star because the stink juice was the same.

Monica G.

Yelp
Wow what a waste of money! We ordered two taco plates...Cold corn tortilla tacos with grilled fish and cold corn tortilla tacos with brisket! Barely nothing was in the tacos, no sides included, the most basic ever! And the sauces were salty and not homemade tasting at all. All for a whopping $32, but the quality of a fast food joint all on paper utensils. We will not be back!
google avatar

Jim K.

Yelp
I'm here for the music scene. It's been fantastic bands every visit. Easy to order at the counter for food and drink. Tacos and quesadillas have been good. Enjoyed the top shelf marg. Music, tacos and margs - they got it all! And it's dog friendly.

Keith L.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. Paid for food at exactly 6:48 pm on a Tuesday. A total of 6 tacos, 2 bowls and chips with queso. Received the food at exactly 7:28 pm. 40 minutes for fancy Taco Bell. They were not busy. We sat outside and there were multiple empty tables. The inside was not busy either. The food was ok to good. Perhaps I'm being too harsh, but it shouldn't take 40 minutes for what is essentially fast food, on a Tuesday, in April.

Truman B.

Yelp
Wife and I got the blackened shrimp tacos and they were the best dinner meal we had while on vacation!! We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
RUN!! Don't walk! We travel to 30A a lot and this place is our go-to. We usually go almost everyday haha. They have the best frozen to-go drinks & amazing food!! The salads, cheese dip, tacos... everything is so so good. They also do takeout & you can order online which most places won't do during busy season which is a nice plus for people with young children like us. We are actually moving to Dune Allen Beach this summer & talk about how we can't wait for this place to be our weekly go-to place! There are no other words than it's SO good!
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
We were staying at Redfish Village Condo's for vacation, and Red Fish Taco is within the complex, which was very convenient. Our first night in town we had dinner here. Blackened Shrimp Taco Salad was very tasty. Cheese Quesadillas and Cuban Sandwich was also very good. Ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Service is good, you walk up and order and staff brings your meals out to you. The vibe is upbeat and they have live bands and entertainment every night outside which also was a nice added plus in the evenings. Would definitely recommend if in the Santa Rosa Beach area.
google avatar

Matt C.

Yelp
First off I don't love ordering food places and then sitting down and waiting for it to be sent to your table. This was not a real issue for us because the food was pretty good. We got the chicken tacos, street corn and the kids got the chicken tenders. They were all very good, The tacos were greasy. And more like three mini quesadillas which is okay with me. The street corn was very good, nice char on one side of the corn, not so much on the other, which was fine for us because my wife doesn't like the char. They have fantastic hot sauces! The Diablo if the best! I know some people hate gratuity, so here is your warning. You are charged gratuity at the bar when you order your food. It's a small amount, I think maybe 5-10% so still do your part! I didn't see this when I ordered but it didn't bother me, so, they got an extra tip from us. The space of this place is big, nice and staff was friendly. Give it a shot!

Heather L.

Yelp
Amazing food and live music! The portions were very filling and our whole group was extremely satisfied. We got the street corn, grouper taco salad, brisket quesadilla, and grouper tacos. The food came fast and the drinks came before we even left the ordering station.
google avatar

Morgan H.

Yelp
You can have it all at Red Fish taco! It's a casual order at the counter type of place but they also offer fun drinks like alcoholic slushies and have live music on the weekends. We shared some fish tacos, a quesadilla and the Mexican street corn and found all of the food to be quite tasty. Everything was fresh and we enjoyed the vibe.

Michael R.

Yelp
Well I could not be anymore disappointed than I am. I have eaten here several times a year for last 4 years. Its our go to place on the nights we drive in for a long weekend as well as when I bring my work staff here for a beach and boat weekend. Remodeled and new ownership from what I can tell. Its not even close to how good it use to be Fish serving size maybe 50% of what it was. The queso equivalent to velveta out of the jar. Flavors of the meal is nonexistent. Salsa isnt salsa anymore. Its a bland product right out of Tom Thumb pick up counter. Ambience is not the same. But most importantly food is not the same. Place will loose its regulars.
google avatar

Meg C.

Yelp
This place is very lively. Lots of space but always packed. Normally, very long lines. We had to sit outside but it was fine because it was a nice day. My family and I all got food. Mine was fine. I didn't like it as much. We got something like roasted avocados, and it was uninteresting and not what we expected. This place is very good though and we will probably come back.
google avatar

Chad G.

Yelp
We love the food. We love the service and we love this Sunday night bands!!! we go every Sunday
google avatar

Ashleigh L.

Yelp
Takeout was great, the blackened shrimp taco salad was delicious, red fish tacos were also very good, and key lime pie was the perfect blend of sour and sweet! Everything was fresh and hot when we picked up, fast service as well.
google avatar

Jim R.

Yelp
We tried Red Fish Taco fiesta the first time. What an awesome place. The best food in Blue Mountain for sure. Outstanding staff, great atmosphere. We loved it so much that the entire family elected to return the very next evening.
google avatar

Jenna L.

Yelp
Delicious. The environment is fun and relaxing. Live music and tvs inside to watch your favorite game! The Mexican grilled corn was delicious and would definitley get again!! Had the brisket quesadilla. It was very good and a is a pretty good size. It is a tad spicy so if you hate spice you may not love it. Service was great and fast!
google avatar

Molly Z.

Yelp
Red Fish Taco is a great fast, casual option with tons of outdoor seating. Our table shared the triple dip (queso, guac, salsa) and all of the dips had great flavor. I had the taco salad and it had tons of fresh veggies and a creamy dressing with great flavor. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals (tacos, quesadilla). You order at the counter and they bring your food out. Our food came quickly and our order was correct. There was live music the night we came, which was nice but way too loud. It was hard to hear the people at our table. Would recommend if you're looking for some American-style Mexican food!
