I fell in love with this bar while visiting! The bartenders were super friendly- introduced themselves and made sure we were taken care of! Food was great. Lots of friendly respectful customers. Pool tables were busy too!

Been many years at least a decade since I've been to the red garter. Glad I came back I had a gauntlet burger amazing This thing was so good and juicy. The fries were really good as well. My wife had just a regular burger she loved it very generous servings there. The staff was very attentive and very courteous Thank you Red garter staff for a great experience. I would highly recommend this place to others who are seeking a great burger and a great atmosphere. Thanks again

I haven't been here in years. It's still the same in all the right ways. It's clean, has a good vibe and great service. The beers are cold. Decent draft selection, prices are great! I love these dark old school bars. Way to keep it up! The service has stayed stellar. Mad props to Kianna. EXCELLENT bartender!

I love this place! It actually defies description. Not a dive bar, not a Sports Bar , just a wonderful , welcoming establishment for everyone! Great food, great , friendly service , ice cold beer , Sports entertainment, pool, I don't think there is anything else you could ask for. Go to Red Garter!

Kianna the bartender was wonderful. I walked in and was greeted. I couldn't decide between beer or mix drink and she had a suggestion of beer with shot that takes like candy. I love it. She did the same with food. I loved her confidence in suggestions by reading the customer. Great employee you have. The other bartender was nice too. They connected with customers and you could see that.

Best fajitas I have ever had. Got steak with a side of chicken. Extra tortillas.... OMG !!!!

We came here Sunday afternoon to watch football and grab lunch. They have a huge screen and several smaller ones showing the games, which was great for catching all the action. I ordered the nachos with shredded cheese, chicken, and beef. The chicken was a bit dry, but the beef was delicious. I also had a salad with the same beef, and it was really good. The green tea shots were tasty, as was the short, single Hornitos Blanco margarita. However, I found the Island Summer cocktail too bitter for me. I do wish they offered better hard seltzer options, like Maui or Belching Beaver. They also have pool tables, darts, and a Buck Hunter game, although I think at least one of the guns' aims was off. Still, the games added to the fun atmosphere.

A funky place, with a very cool outdoor mural and look. It's a combination sports bar, Saloon neighborhood tavern, it is not a dive bar and has wonderful food an outstanding beer list and a very fun cocktail list, plus wonderful staff. I have been coming three or four times a winter over the last three years I have been visiting Tucson. They are consistent with quality in all there food and beer. I usually go to a late lunch here it seems to.be less crowded and parking is easier. Everyone is understaffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. Remember they're busy because they're good. Staff have always tried to make sure I am happy. I.am older and driving, so my limit is one beer and a water. They have so many delicious choices on tap, that I get a different one each time. I usually get the French dip with shoestring potatoes sometimes i will get a burger both are wonderful. The restrooms are old but been very clean each time I have been. It's a great place with great staff and great food and drinks.

Our server greeted us right away and was very attentive. It was around noon but it wasn't very packed. Essentially it's a sports bar and there are booths and tables. The menu is simple but the finger foods they had all sounded good. My burger was perfect and onion rings were hot and crispy. You can tell the ranch was made there and good as well. They serve RC products. Decor is a bit dated, but it's ok.

Just had Sunday burgers at red Garden saloon I had the patio melt my friend had the black and blue. They were both delicious. We got onion rings with one french fries with the other onion rings are so delicious. They're lightly coated not the heavy coating usually get nice and crunchy full of onion flavor the french fries were small and very crispy as in thin small that is in tiny. the burgers were juicy. The meat was excellent. The patty melt Rye was just enough fry. We'll go back again and again thanks for the great service.

Kaitlyn is the best ! She is so welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu as well of the people at the bar . On top of all of that the team worked shown durning her shift was beyond impressive . Very lucky to have such a dedicated employee . Definitely our favorite new place to spend our time and money .

I ate an early dinner here with a group of friends two days ago. It was a Saturday, and the place was crowded. I had the steak fajitas ($14.50), which were pretty much what you expect. Service was slow in my case, because somehow the wrong order had gone in and they had to start over.

I am a Tucson Native and have passed this place a million times. I'm so glad my extended family decided to check out some of the establishments that have been around for years. The Red Garter is quite big, well lit, with plenty of tables. We ordered a variety of beers, tea, sodas, and cocktails. Our server was very efficient and friendly. We enjoyed a basket of fried zucchini, mushrooms, and onion rings. Some of us had the club sandwich which was generously sized. Chicken wings and burgers were also ordered. It was all great and the quality was beyond what we expected. While I wouldn't call this a "dive" it is definitely not the usual kind of bar/restaurant. It has a homey feel that has endured a few decades. Everything seems clean and well maintained including the ladies room. Our server was excellent. One of the best we have had in months. It was a great place for our group to gather and we plan on returning soon.

I have been coming here for a few months, and Kianna and Kaitlin are awesome! I have not found bartenders with their caliber of service in even higher end places with "elite service". They are quick to serve, and always have great recommendations for drinks to get you out of your comfort zone. Only bar in Tucson I've been that these bartenders manage to mix personality and excellent customer service into one.

My wife and I love the garter! Our server Victoria always makes us feel so welcome and always checks on us. We were recommended a shot called a raspberry kamikaze shot and it really got the night going! Always so happy to come back

Love the Red Garter! There's plenty of parking in the parking lot, there's an outside patio, plenty of pool tables (it takes 4 quarters for one game), an electric dart board, and bar stools to sit at the bar or regular tables with chairs. There's even pool tables in a smoking area outside. This is a perfect spot to meet with friends. The prices for drinks and food are very reasonable, and service is friendly. Definitely recommend coming here!

The food was good and the service was just ok. I had to ask for flatware and no refills on drinks or even asked. The lighting was so poor we had to use our phones to see the menu. I did like that they had a few pool tables though.

Had a really great time, Victoria our server was absolutely fantastic and gave us a great experience. Food was also extremely good. Husband and I are excited to come back regularly. 10/10 spot for date night!

I ordered the French dip. It was really good. Service was very good considering it was crowded. Very attentive to us. Always making sure everything was good or needed anything more. Liked that they had a lot of tv's to watch sports. I even got them to put on one of the games I was looking to watch.

I came in tonight for the first time and sat at the bar. The bartender (Kate? Katelyn?) was totally slammed but made a point to say hi and was quick with my order. I was totally surprised with her amazing service! You've got some good people working here, I'll definitely be back!

Great place to get a French dip and shoestring fries! The servers are friendly and attentive and the food quite good yet reasonable! Where can you find all of this these days? Not very many places!! Definitely on our short list for recurring visits!

Wonderful to find this place in our neighborhood. Relocated permanently to Tucson in September 2021 - walked by here many times before visiting, from the outside I could take it or leave it - appears a bit 'dated' - DO NOT let that deter you from going inside.... Tried it in November 2021 - will be a repeat customer, likely every week. The menu is extensive which caused me some trepidation, when a place focuses on too many items, my experience is the food suffers (Think Cheesecake Factory) I had the fries (perfectly cooked), then the cheeseburger with onion rings (Again perfectly prepared) - 5 stars. Service from Kellie - 5 stars, bartenders super efficient, reasonably priced food / drinks. Four pool tables in the non smoking section, separated by four pool tables in the smoking section (glass divider). Place smells / looks really clean, bathrooms fully stocked and clean. My only criticism (jokingly) is the door to the outside squeaks by the pool tables - but I picked up a can of WD40 yesterday and will solve that issue next visit. Look forward to my next visit, working my way through the French Dip and then the Rueben! Thanks Red Garter for creating a cool place in the Pala Verde neighborhood! See you soon.

Great burgers! A little bit of a dive but don't let its exterior intimidate you from stepping inside! A good spot to watch a game and hang with friends.

Great hamburger. Fantastic friendly service by Stephanie at the bar. Relaxing place..... BUT playing heavy metal and hard rock the entire time was dreadful. It made me want to leave. Who really listens to the genre anymore? I'm of the age of that music and I hate it! The bar could use a little more light as well. Very reasonably priced as well! just update your music please

On our way down to U of A for a basketball game - we decided to stop at the Red Garter on Speedway for an early dinner. Hasn't changed since we were there years ago ! Good bar/restaurant with good food. Known back in the day for their chicken wing specials. Today, we ordered something different - chicken cordon bleu sandwich. Very good - chicken, ham, cheese - yum ! Of course, we had to wash it down with a beer - beer specials for happy hour. Red Garter did not disappoint - still the same good bar food, friendly environment, and ice cold beer !

Nice and cozy. It is a place to go with few of friends to chitchat and drink beer. I would say it is not for date nights. They have good variety of beer choices Four star is for slightly under spiced burger meat.

Service was amazing! We went for drinks and I ended up getting the Chicago dog! It was gigantic and delicious!!!

I've only visited here a few times since 2000 when I was on vacation before moving to Tucson in 2006. Nice southwest vibe. Very dark and saloon -like. Still smells like smoke from the days of old. Lots of games and pool tables to keep you busy. Food is pretty good. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Red Garter is a Tucson classic, and a true "Mom and Pop" establishment! Don't let the window-less building deter you; this is NOT an "adult entertainment" establishment. It's a yummy and laid-back sports bar! Casual atmosphere, friendly service, delicious pub food. I read an article that described Red Garter's burgers as some of the best in town, and I agree - they're well-cooked, juicy, and prepared with love. (Plus, I love when I can get tots as a side - even better.) We visited during the World Cup, and they were kind enough to turn it on for us while we enjoyed lunch. Nothing fancy here, but that's what I like about it -- just good, plain fun and tasty food. Pro tip: If you're into pool, you can do that here.

Tonight my burger was overcooked when ordered medium and my crispy fries were served barely fried.

Timely service, variety, and western ambiance, the neon is nice, the bar is long and the lighting is dim.

The food here is great. Too bad they jacked their already-high prices 20-30% and now charge an extra 50 cents per meal on pickup orders. You'd think with the extra money coming in they could afford to update their web page to reflect the new prices/fees and avoid sticker shock, but apparently, that's too much to ask. Definitely don't ask the staff...

I've heard that this place was the home of great burgers yet I never stopped in. Finally, I met a old friend for lunch on 5/2/21. The menu is expansive and you'll find something you'll like. I came in for the burgers and so I got the San Fran burger. Cooked perfect and seasoned well. Damn good burger, damn good! Naturally, I got the tots, cooked to golden brown perfection. Reasonably priced. They know great burgers and sides, I'll definitely be back! Brianna was our severer and was excellent! Courteous, friendly and professional. We wanted for nothing. Spot on service.

Longtime favorite cleaned up and doing great. Red Garter has one of the best burgers in town. A delicious 1/2 burger on a fresh baked bun. Pick from a dozen specialty options or go old school with cheese and LTO. Either way - you will be happy. I had not visited since 2019, but made it back for a late night dinner after a UA baseball game. Four of us - including a couple of teenage boys - were quickly seated in the clean main dining room where we watched highlights on the several TVs surrounding us. Service was great - friendly and appropriately speedy for our hungry group. Our group had cheeseburgers and French dip sandwiches. Sides were fries, tater tots and curly fries. Everyone loved their food, and we will be back. Great, casual bar with very quality food.

Service was great. Food was awful, cheeseburger was ordered medium well and cooked medium rare. Chicken sandwich had bread that was so soggy as if it had been drenched in water, however the chicken was good.

Best burgers in town by far, great ambience and great selection of music... Not to mention the great servers!!! Oh yeah, cold beer too

The absolute, worst burger I've ever had! How do you screw up a burger?!? It had zero flavor. It was supposed to have thousand island dressing, but it didn't. I ask but a side of it and it was just colored Mayo! Again no flavor. The service was terrible as well! She didn't refill my soda, it took 20 minutes to get the check and another 20 minutes for her to run my card. All in all, stay away! Go to Native across the street instead.

Love this bar. Very chill environment and friendly staff.They aren't lying when the menu says best burgers in town. My bf and I are here almost every week. Sometimes I bring my laptop here bc they have WiFi and just drink a beer. Rest of the food is pretty good especially the wings even the Cobb salad etc. Drinks very reasonably priced, with a good selection. Great place to eat, drink, and watch sports. I'm moving soon, but Red Garter I'll never forget you stay awesome.

You don't come to the garter for anything more than some beers and a solid burger. The black and bleu burger has my vote as the best one in town with the best price too. The garter isn't a place you go to impress your friends or take a first date. It's the place you go when you want some good service and low key time.

I go to the movies at the Loft a whole bunch, and I always or mostly get something to eat before and after. My options have been limited to the same places, just for convenience, and some places close are just not good. I have been to the Red Garter late night with friends, but I forget about the food angle. I went Sunday night and had a patty melt, and it was pretty darn good and at a terrific price. I love a good burger and I am super stoked to have a burger so close to my movie place, a lazy guys dream! Oh yea there are a lot more burgers in my future for me from here (It's like I'm psychic or something).

Came in for a beer, never been here before, the bartender was really rude about the mask from the door to the stool... will never go back here. Bad first impression.

Great environment, friendly staff, and such a cool bar. Perfect place to spend the day playing pool and refuel with some amazing food. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but the bowl of chilli and the honey bbq wings are my favorite

This review is basically based off of the service because I did not realize that food was served here and are before I came to meet up with my friends. The waitstaff is nice though can be at little unorganized. It makes sense since they are being pulled in a million directions. If you want to get a pool table I wish you luck and if you do have one, sit on it because a lot of people will come behind you to take it. The bartenders know how to make a good drink which is the most important thing in this type of establishment. I enjoyed it enough to where I need to come back and try the food.

Better wings here than native across the street. Oh and the environment is always good. Never have problems just fun here!

First time here in years - not since they were in their old location. Really great atmosphere - comfortable, not too bright or noisy. The green onion & sour cream fries appetizer is fantastic! The burgers are substantial and delicious - so many choices. We'll definitely try the other sandwiches and maybe a salad in the future. Can't wait to try out their pool tables!

The Red Garter is a Tucson institution (open in this location since 1993), and a legitimate saloon. It's not fancy, but it's comfortable, big, and the burgers are excellent. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. They have a lot of pool tables in the back, bunches of TV's for you to watch your favorite games, and one of the best outdoor patios in town. If there is such a thing as "an upscale pub," this is it.

Red Garter Saloon is really special. You'll leave feeling full with yummy food and wonderful vibes. Everything we had here was fantastic. Crew is very polite and definitely will help you with anything. Red Garter Saloon is hands down the best.
