"Cedar Park brewery and cafe Red Horn Coffee House and Brewing is expanding with a second location. The new spot will be found not that far away at 1615 Scottsdale Dr., Building 1, Suite 100 out in Leander sometime next year. It’ll function similarly to the original brewpub: taproom, kitchen, coffee." - Nadia Chaudhury

Google
New Red Horn brewery location that we fell in love with ! We are regulars at the Parmer lane Red Horn and wanted to do a detour to this new location in Leander . Man we were surprised how good this one is! They have the same wonderful beer and coffee, but also amazing tacos and sides that the other location does not have ! The tacos were great and the beer was good as always . The Prosecco Rita was refreshing . They have WiFi internet and good live music on some days ! Will start going here regularly for the good food, service and ambiance .

Google
Pretty darn good food, albeit not entirely what I was expecting. Birria tacos has delicious carnitas and delightful cheese, though the birria dip was oddly devoid of flavor. The Cali burrito was pretty dang authentic, if a bit small (to be fair, the authentic ones are insanely large) - carne asada has just the right kind of spice. Food came out quick, hot, well plated. Lemonade was tasty, too.

Loved the candy pairing flight!!! Awesome vibes and great beer! Nachos were delicious.

Google
The ambience and offerings are wonderful here. This is a great place to come work, meet friends or just enjoy the calming vibes. Worth a visit at least once, and it’s right near Facilities Resource, Inc., so you could grab a coffee before heading there for an event!

Google
Strange place to find a neighborhood bar & eatery - in the middle of an actual Neighborhood! However, no complaints on the food quality or the craft beer choices (they have plenty). We went on a Friday so it was relatively busy, but not too crowded. The only thing preventing a 5-star rating was that flatware didn't come with any of the food (8 different items) that we ordered. So we had to wait in the beer line to ask for forks, allowing our food to get a little cool. We noticed a few other tables doing the same thing. Bringing flatware with the food or having it easily accessible without customers having to wait in line would be our only improvement recommendation. Waitstaff, atmosphere and everything else was great! Definitely a fun place. And like Arnold said, “We'll be Back!”

Google
Red Horn Brewery & Roastery on Scottsdale has lots of space and is a great place to hang with friends for coffee or a beer. Bigger food selection than the Parmer location. The breakfast tacos were delicious. If you haven’t visited Red Horn, you are missing out!!

Google
Overall 8.4/10, the coffee was good (latte, Mocha) and the service was good as well for being decently busy. Coffee was out in 5min and our breakfast tacos were out in 10min. The food was really good in my opinion and so was the coffee. The atmosphere fits the aesthetic; and it’s not as loud as you would expect for being a coffee shop and a Brewery. Red Horn has wifi for studying or work, or maybe if you want to watch a sports game on your phone. Going back to atmosphere this place is very versatile in a way that you can study, drink beer and converse, do work, watch college football. Cons: The restroom was a little on the dirty side and when we sat down none of the tables had been wiped off really. So there were crumbs where we set. Not a big deal ended up wiping it off myself. Wife had to have more chocolate for her Mocha because it literally tasted like my latte. Again 8.4/10 would recommend, and will continue to come back!

Yelp
Red horn offers both coffee and beer. I typically visit this location in the morning and enjoy their scrumptious coffee and lattes. However, tonight it was to meet a friend to catch up over a cold one. Lots of great choices from the heiifiwizen to a stout and lots of choices in between the two... Great tasting locally made beer. One of their offerings, and I tasted like an almond Joy... Unique taste for a beer the sample I was given was enough for me, I went with the coffee, stout, and it was simply wonderful. The staff is great as they try to help you find a beer to enjoy. Great tasting beer, fantastic, coffee, wonderful food, and great service... If you do not know about this place, give them a try, you will thank me later.

Yelp
I came in around 9:15 am for coffee after seeing a promotion in a foodie group on Facebook. It felt very odd to be in line at a brewery ordering a latte. In fact, seeing people working on computers and chatting over coffee seemed out of place in the space. That said, the staff were friendly, and my chai latte and café mocha were made in a very reasonable amount of time. The chai was perfectly balanced and smooth. The mocha was average; the flavoring was weak. Parking is great here; you can park on two sides. And on one side, parking extends down in front of other businesses, very useful for evening attendance. There are two entrances, allowing you to enter from opposite directions. I look forward to coming back and checking Red Horn out as a proper brewery, so I can hopefully increase my rating.

Yelp
I came here on a Thursday morning to try out their coffee. I had been to their Parmer location, but I've just made my way to their Leander location. When I arrived, there was no line, and the barista happily welcomed me in. I asked for a pour over recommendation, expressing that I didn't like sour-tasting coffees. The barista suggested I try their Mexico blend, which has a lower acidity than some other roasts. The pour over was ready in about 7-8 minutes, and I was called to the counter to pick up my mug and carafe. I appreciated that they did this, as I could pour out as much as I wanted and enjoy my time there. The coffee was smooth and well-balanced. Some acidity, which added a slightly sour taste, was present, but it wasn't too bad. Wifi was free and fast enough to get some work done. Ample parking was available. I prefer this Red Horn location over their other one!

Yelp
ordered a breakfast bowl with sausage, cheese, and potatoes for $10.50. When I received my order, I was disappointed to find that there were barely any eggs, and I couldn't find any sausage. I went back inside to inquire about it, and the server informed me that this is normal. Lately, I have noticed a decline in the quality of your food service, and I hope it improves soon, as this level of service is unacceptable for the price.

Yelp
Red Horn in Leander is a great spot to enjoy a couple of beers and some tacos, especially if you're headed to an event at the nearby HEB Center. With plenty of free parking and a wide variety of beer and taco options to choose from, it's a convenient choice for grabbing food and drinks before or after a hockey game or other event. While it's a bit of a trek if you're coming from downtown Austin, it makes for a solid stop if you're already in the area. During our visit, the staff accidentally missed part of our order, which required a few reminders, though they were very apologetic about the mix-up. It was not particularly busy during the time that we were there, so I am not quite sure why that happened. Overall, it's a good spot for drinks and food with easy access to the HEB Center.

Dennis D.

Yelp
Went there for a beer and was not disappointed, great selection. I returned the next morning to try the coffee and there was a good crowd there but I didn't see the draw , the coffee was mediocre at best.

Joseph D.

Yelp
I reviewed this place six months ago but it's not the same experience anymore. The service is still good but the food quality has gone way down. 2 months ago I order a Cali burrito and it's smaller than before, today I order a Cali burrito and it's mostly fries with hardly any steak. It feels like they're trying to cut corners to save money instead of just raising the price. I'll done ordering food here because I'm not being given the same quality product as the first time I came here and it sucks because I really liked this place. I'll occasionally get a beer or a coffee because those items are still the same quality. Since that is the case it makes this location pointless because the food is what set it apart from the other one.

Gayle E.

Yelp
Service was fine. Food .. not so much. The beef in he carne asada taco and salad was almost inedible it was so tough. Won't go again for food. Beer was good.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
We went here before going to a movie. There is plenty of parking at the brewery. The interior is massive with plenty of room. I had the Wonder Boy Hefeweizen. It was very smooth and refreshing. My boyfriend had the House United Coffee Milk Stout. It had a very complex flavor. It was one that grew on us the more we drank it. We had the chips and queso which were your typical chips and queso. We also had the birria tacos. The meat was very tender. My boyfriend thought the tacos and broth didn't have much flavor, but I was ok with the subtlety. The staff were very nice and answered all our questions about the beer. This casual, relaxed atmosphere is a great place to grab a beer and hang out with friends, or like us, get a quick bite before a show.

Pax S.

Yelp
I went to Red Horn for a celebration of life and this was absolutely the best venue for such an emotional event. The staff was very helpful with helping me choose a flight of IPAs and I enjoyed nearly every pour. The pricing was adequate for the quality of the beer -- I found a delicious black IPA and went into the event room. I appreciated that I could bring in my own tumbler for water and the vibe was so laid back (which I was not used to in comparison to other breweries I have visited in Austin). I cannot wait to go back for coffee and food!

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Red Horn is always a favorite! We love to come here for brunch on the weekends with our kids and just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The food and drinks are always on point. Our kids get "kid's temp hot chocolate", which they love and won't burn their mouths. Hot dogs, churros, and chicken quesadillas for the kids, Chillaquiles, breakfast tacos, and coffees/teas for the grown ups. The staff is always super friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Visited after recommended by a local. Went in and sat at the all bar at the front. Tried to order from at least 4 different servers who just smiled and continued what they were doing. I pull out my wallet to indicate I wanted to order, again nothing. Everyone else was being served. After a good 10 minutes of being ignored I left and went elsewhere.

Yelp
The breakfast tacos are good - sometimes a little salty. Coffee drinks are good. Service is hit or miss. There's one barista with a permanent frown. Not very friendly. I swear anytime I ask for anything, I've ruined her day. The last time I visited, a guy brought his dog in. One of the employers pet the dog and then started running food. There's a sign that says no dogs allowed inside, but this was one of their friends. Eeek.

Tj B.

Yelp
Stopped in for coffee and breakfast and this place is legit. Pricing is generally what you'd expect, four meals and two specialty coffees was $60. Pay the up charge for the Carne Asada in the breakfast burrito, worth every penny. Straight up eating a steak. The layout and atmosphere was super chill and the staff was friendly too. Will be back.

Arturo Y.

Yelp
Excellent place to get craft beer (I got Manufactured Idols, double IPA) and Bacon Wrapped Sausage) - all excellent!! Bit noisy - excellent family place!

Dan W.

Yelp
Love this taco but have to add whatever this "white green sauce" is every time. This is my 20th -30th time in this location and still consistently getting great service, food, and atmosphere. Keep up great work.

Stephen S.

Yelp
A nice casual brewery off the beaten path of 183. We stopped by on a weekend and grabbed a few beers. The atmosphere was airy, open and nice casual warehouse style brewery. The servers were all very friendly and helpful. We liked all of our beers (trail runner, strawberry something and a Mexican lager). My only knock is the nachos could have been a bit better. The toppings were delicious but the chips were soggy. Soggy chips obviously aren't desirable in the first place but they also make nachos very difficult. Even with that, I would recommend this brewery to anyone in the area.

Yelp
In the grand tradition of industrial park breweries, this one is unassuming. Servers are very nice and helpful. Big space in back for rental parties indoors. The coffee milk stout was excellent! But there are plenty of other brew styles for those wanting something a bit lighter. Great tacos, but the chicken in the nachos seemed like it had been refrozen a few times before cooking. Sister brewery is just 11 mins away!

Robin B.

Yelp
Pastries were mediocre, service was meh, tables weren't clean. But this was just our morning opinion on the upside- Presentation was nice. Came here for apps and beer/cider the other night and it was pretty good. Different vibe in the morning.

Anna Z.

Yelp
The atmosphere and selection here are excellent. It's a perfect spot to work, catch up with friends, or simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out, especially since it's conveniently close to Facilities Resource -- perfect for grabbing a coffee before heading to an event!

Desiree G.

Yelp
This spot does not allow dogs inside and there is a small patio area that's uncovered. Basically only comfortable coming inside. Now for everything else, it's great. Really good beer selection, had some unique pours. Something for everyone. Coffee is ok. Plenty of seating as it wasn't overly crowded here. Two TVs and wifi. Looked like they had an event room. Food was reallllly good. Breakfast tacos and breakfast burrito was a great size. I'd come back mainly for the food.

Paul R.

Yelp
This location is much more chill than their original locale on Parmer. Expect the same great coffee and taps. The menu here is also more expansive than the original locale. We did not eat but checking out other diners' food the nachos are piled high and the tacos are overstuffed. The servers are very knowledgeable and were able to expertly describe their IPA offerings. Hopefully, they can improve their outside patio area as currently there are just picnic tables positioned next to the parking lot.

Joey E.

Yelp
Beer is good. Customer service is lacking. Fun atmosphere. $$$$ Food is decent most of the time. Prices are at the top end.

Kristen L.

Yelp
The food and coffee were both amazing. I've been looking for a place to get some work done since I'm WFH and this is by far the best place to do that in Leander. Good WiFi and tons of room to spread out

Brian T.

Yelp
Okay this is my favorite coffee shop in the Austin area period. I love how big and spacious this new location is, but the coffee is WHERE IT'S AT. Definitely come here if you're looking for the perfect date spot, study/get work done, or just to enjoy a nice morning coffee and breakfast. We ordered a hand pour over, a Chemex, and a double espresso. The double espresso came out first and this one definitely packed a punch - don't let the espresso size cup fool you. If I was just here for the caffeine content, this one definitely would've done the job alone. The hand pour over came out next and the presentation was super impressive! They bring you the entire carafe with the dripper on top, so it's definitely a lot. Considering this is only $4, you definitely get your money's worth! This one was so flavorful and the fruity notes definitely stood out while drinking it. Now the Chemex...just wow. For $5, they bring the entire Chemex setup to your table and you pour our of it as you drink. The fact that they trust their patrons with the Chemex really speaks volumes about how much they care about the presentation piece! Looks aside, this coffee (I believe we got Ethiopian) tasted amazing and on-par with the pour over. Don't let me forget the breakfast tacos. This was such a treat. I got the Migas breakfast taco and this one was stuffed FULL with eggs, tortilla strips, and pico. It was delicious and filling and for $3, this one definitely hit the spot alongside the coffee. I also bought one of their coffee beer stouts to take home...I believe it was the House United coffee milk stout. If taking home, you either order beer in a Crowler (two pint cans) or a Growler (64 oz). I can't wait to try their coffee IN THEIR BEER. But most of all, can't wait to come back here every time I'm in the area!

Mariana B.

Yelp
We came for breakfast. It's a nice and spacious place. They brew coffee and beer. We ordered breakfast tacos, chilaquiles, bowl and croissant. Tacos is good, chilaquiles are very spice, croissant is good and bowl is ok. The latter and the hot chocolate came cold. The coffee was hot is good.

Joseph D.

Yelp
What a fantastic stop!! I ordered a honey latte and a breakfast burrito. This was my 2nd or 3rd visit but first time getting coffee and breakfast stuff. I came in around lunch and it took what felt like a long time to get my food. However somewhat understandable it was peak hours, they were really busy. Their burritos are top tier for a coffee shop. Most other places have those premade but this didn't seem like it was and it was one of the better burritos I've had. I def recommend checking out this place no matter the time of the day. If you're ordering food when it's really busy expect it to take a while. It's worth the wait though.

John C.

Yelp
DISGUSTING. NOT GOING BACK. I went in today for my usual two tacos and coffee like I always did a few times a week. There was a young woman at the counter placing an order while holding a dog with one arm against her chest and holding her phone with the other hand. Her other hand was also touching the dog and the keypad for making payment. They were standing four feet from the espresso machine and about 6-8 feet from the kitchen. The dog's rear end is facing the kitchen and his rear feet are practically touching the counter where food and drinks are served. I told the woman that this is a food establishment and that dogs are not allowed inside per the large sign at the entrance. I asked her to be respectful of other customers in the coffee shop. She dismissively said she needed to place an order and then turned around and ignored me. No apology, no urgency to remove the dog, nothing. After she left, I asked the staff person if they ever tell customers to take out their dogs. She said they do. Well then why take her order? Ask her to remove her dog from the shop and come back. They simply don't care about the health and comfort of their customers. They just want to take their money. Not from me anymore. I was disgusted, so I said 'never mind' and walked out of the store. Knowing how they allow animals so close to drinks and food, I am never going back there.

Angela M.

Yelp
Held a wedding rehearsal dinner here. Chad and his staff did a great job with set up. Michael was our beverage attendant and point man that night. The craft beer was top-notch and the iced tea was premium. Very nice staff. The brewery room was a private, casual, and quaint setting. Taconmaye provided the taco bar. The food was exceptional. Everything fit well with our "Love has Brewed" theme! The room is not air-conditioned, so plan accordingly. It was warm in June. Fans and ventilation were provided.

Bret B.

Yelp
We've been coming to this new venue about once a week for the last few months because everything about it is great. The food is awesome, the beer is top notch and the service is always super friendly and fast. We have a 1 year old who has been joining us the entire time we've frequented this location and she loves the family friendly environment. They have high chairs and lots of food on the menu that works great for toddlers. Last week we had a realization that while it is a family friendly facility, it doesn't have changing tables in the bathroom so if you're looking for that, you won't find it. Not enough to really have a problem but my wife wasn't stoked that we had to take the baby to the car every time we needed to change her. Great location, great products, great experiences but something maybe management could consider :)

Michele C.

Yelp
Review is overdue; this place is awesome! I come about once a week. I'm probably in the minority for why though- they make a yummy latte! Get mine plain. Tastes really good. Ive had their Churros: so good! Ive tried their food, not too shabby! Their breakfast ritos are tasty. Pub grub can be hot or miss, typically overpriced...but you pay for the good time and brews mainly right? They kick out some surprisingly good food and prices are inviting. The service here is on point. Aaron H was my server and he was super helpful with my order and chill. Love this place. The entire crew is so friendly and helpful. I'm a stout/ porter girl and ive had a few of their brews: would recommend. The atmosphere is chill and pleasant. Kinda has an industrial feel to it. Now: if I could change something it would be outdoor seating. Pros: dog friendly. Cons: few benches and no cover or patio. Not good when this state feels like the devil farted on it most of the time. Second; the place will Likely become more people's go to spot. So hoping they buy neighboring buildings and expand! It would be epic.

Kristen S.

Yelp
Friendly staff, great coffee, great beer, board games aplenty, perfect cozy atmosphere for meeting first dates.

Aundrea C.

Yelp
Love this place for a study location!! Not as much outside space as the one in cedar park, but the food makes up for it! Great Mexican food served at this location that's not at the cedar park location. Less selection of beer at this one as well. They do have a big meeting area through attached to the facility for events I believe.

Monique T.

Yelp
My husband and I love coming here on the weekends for morning/lunchtime coffee and food. Service is always good and food is delicious. We enjoy breakfast tacos and the Cali burrito. I enjoy the chai latte and mocha latte the best. Today tried the BBG sooo good!

Ying Y.

Yelp
After a Bachelorette weekend, the girls wanted coffee & breakfast before driving home. Food tasted so good, we all left stuffed! I got the migas/vegetarian breakfast burrito and, due to the staff accidentally making an extra & the manager's kindness, I had leftovers for my flight the next day. Manager was awesome - patiently answered my questions and remembered our bride mentioning the Bachelorette party & offered a chocolate stout, on the house (see pic). Ty for the wonderful service & breakfast :)

Johnny L.

Yelp
Place is close to the HEB Center if you're looking for something to do after. The food isn't great but is better then most breweries. The beer is good and the vibe is good. Flights vary in pricing.

Thao E.

Yelp
OH ! High anticipated location! I've been waiting for this location to open since they announced it on their Instagram. They are having soft openings right now. The space is airy, has high ceilings, and gorgeous. Being the soft opening, it looks like they are training some new people but they are nice as can be! They also have Tacomaye on site now for your taco needs. I can't wait to make this my new work spot! Support your local businesses!

Priya S.

Yelp
So I've been here a few times on my way to Costco and their coffee is pretty decent.. but this time I decided to order a veggie croissant sandwich which would have egg, cheese, and avocado. I waited for a very long time and they were not even busy I want to say close to 30 mins. My first impression of the sandwich was that it was super small with not much filling at all. I took one bite then noticed a piece of meat in the container. I decided to open up the sandwich and there were pieces of crumbled meat throughout the whole sandwich. Immediately grossed out I took it back and told the guy who took my order. The guy called over a girl who the whole time I was waiting was chit chatting with a group of ppl maybe friends or other co-workers. She didn't even look or speak to me, did some stuff on the register then stated okay we will re-make it for you. I told her I didn't want it re-made because this was a simple sandwich and I can tell by the way it looked that they cross contaminate with meat. She then did some more stuff on the register then told me okay you have a refund. No apology or anything.. I asked her how do I know you refunded me? Can I get a receipt or something to prove it? Back she goes to the register then prints me a receipt. It was my monthly stop on my way to Costco but I won't be back. FYI they have "Vegan" options on the menu. I would not trust their veggie vegan options if you are truly a meatless person. They made it seem like it was such an inconvenience to them when I am the one who wasted a bunch of time and left hungry. She also only refunded the sandwich. They have zero customer service skills. Look, I get it.. ppl who are not vegetarian don't understand it's a big deal but my reasoning for the 1 star review is mostly on how the situation was handled.

Jacob C.

Yelp
Been here a couple times now and have to say it's been great. Love that they have a good selection of coffee and tea along with the yummy beer. Their food has been great and look forward to trying other items. Loved the Cali burrito!

Corey W.

Yelp
I've been coming to Red Horn to work remote on Fridays and I cannot express how great the staff is. After a few short times of going there, they remember my order, make me feel welcomed, and are always in a good attitude. Their coffee, beers, and tacos are excellent. I like drinking the Wonder Boy beer, nitro cold brew coffee w/ two shots of espresso, and their Pastor tacos are delicious. I'd highly recommend this place for a great retreat from your home office or daily office if you can. I've never had any issues with their internet and they keep the inside nice and cool. I would give 6 stars if I could

Bee B.

Yelp
Nice 2nd location of Red Horn! This one is closer to the HEB center and has a larger space. Tried their Pivot which was a blueberry kettle sour. Snacks here are tacos, nachos, fries, and usual fare. If you have a larger party, check this location out

Mary Ó.

Yelp
Writing this review from the perspective of a pregnant lady who can't enjoy the beers. I was still able to have a great time with friends there this past weekend! They have tons of coffee options as well as a Maine Root soda fountain. I also appreciated the large food menu which makes this spot easy to enjoy even for non drinkers. Definitely try the birria tacos! There's also a good selection of games to play at your table. Service was quick, lines were always short. Noticed they have a large event space you can rent out ( baby shower was being held there that day). No food or drink mínimums for the space which is pretty rare!

Grant B.

Yelp
Second trip. Food was good the first trip but the service was terrible both times. Got the Cali Burrito this time. don't recommend it. very gristly. Completely finished one dish before the other was brought out - not hot. Asked three times about where the second dish was. Ignored the first time, "we're working on it" the second time and "we have the order ", we're just really busy" the last. Seems like they spent more time on atmosphere than training staff. Maybe the beer's good? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Charlie R.

Yelp
Nice place to meet and hang out or get some work done. Great selection of brews and very friendly staff. They do take home growlers and crowlers. Haven't tried the food yet but it's on my list.

Helen T.

Yelp
Have so far only gone for breakfast and coffee but am excited to come back later in the day and try their brews and non-breakfast digs. Their mochas are great and every breakfast item I've tried has been delicious (admittedly I've only lived in this area a short amount of time and have frequented red horn during breakfast hours more times than I care to admit, but hopefully that tells you how delish they are!)

Sarah H.

Yelp
This new location is the bomb! Prime selection of craft beer, coffee, tea, fountain sodas too. Plenty of seating, GREAT service, and super delicious food menu -- our favorite so far are the carne asada loaded nachos -- a must try! Perfect for sharing . The place is really open and bright. Big screen TVs with sports playing. Family friendly. We love coming here for game night, dinner and cold beers.

Ru L.

Yelp
The only thing this location doesn't have from the original is the coffee roaster. Other than that the beer is fresh, the coffee is hot, and the food is good. Tacos came fully filled with protein and veggies with two sides of salsa, one green, one red. Two thumbs up.
