OMG!! If I could just rate my disappointment overall, there would be only stars for my server, Ryan. Ryan did his best with what he had! They HAVE to be hiring...so inquire within!! They were short of staff, but Ryan didn't miss. I had to send everything back but my drink. That's alot coming from a foodie. Although, I had to purchase a sidecar of lecoura (liquor) to make my drink aye ok...that might have just been a personal Friday preference though, lol. And if you're a Red Lobster lover, you know them cheesy bays be without question! I'd rather give reviews without comparing locations, HOWEVER, I went to the Lanham, MD location about 2 weeks ago, order filet mignon for my first time, and boyee, was the girl pleased and satisfied (check out the review over there). Tonight, here, Suitland, MD, my favorite location, was big slipping. I decided I wanted the same exact meal that I had in Lanham. But uhhh, I'm not sure if the cook was tired, chef-fing ain't on point or he ready to quit because that food had no love, energy or toes in it. The filet was chewy, even though it was medium well, as preferred, but chewy. I'm not a steak sauce lover but tried to see if it would make a difference in taste, no sir...no ma'am! I even 'crab-a-fied' it...NO GO! The brussel sprouts were dry, so I had to request more sauce, though that didn't help. The mashed potatoes were like pretty, white rock decor...not edible at all, to say the least. The stuffed mushrooms were greasy and all that I experienced was the greasy cheese. I really tried to eat it all, regardless. It was an ultimate no go. The drink was a Tito strawberry lemonade that came out with a quarter rim of sugar, in a dirty glass, which was a fountain soda glass and barely full. At that point, I was already discouraged before the food came out. Let me tell you... it all started in the truck, before I went into the restaurant. I was sitting in there, debating on going in or riding out to Lanham. Again, Suitland has always been my favorite location, so I chose to stay. I went to use the restroom first. Every stall but one was horrible! My doubt started to ensue just right then, however, I still stayed. When Ryan realized I wasn't eating the food, he checked on me. He took my dish and understood me without changing his servicing attitude. Maybe they should make him manager because BayBee..when that manger came over to my table, that attitude was nasty. As if I was obligated to eat such a meal. She said, 'what's the problem?! You sent the food back but it's half gone. I had to remember myself and kindly inform her that I only took 3 bites of the filet, trying even to eat it with steak sauce, that I don't normally indulge. So what was half eaten??! Her attitude definitely resembled why a cook wouldn't be in the right state of mind to bang that meal properly and why a bartender thought it made sense to serve a cocktail in a fountain drink glass with quarter rim sugar. I barely ate two mushrooms and she was on one. I told her, if it's that serious, leave the mushrooms on the bill. She thought that was fair, lol. Not only did she leave the mushrooms on the bill, she tried to charge me the full app price, although I ordered them during happy hour, smh. At that point, I told my waiter to take those off as well. I tipped him according to what my bill would have been, plus more. I had my heart set but understood going in that it may not be how it was two weeks ago. I will definitely say Red lobster has stepped their game up with the quantity of food they serve now. I definitely answered my own question, which location would be better, being as though no other reviewers compared location. Management means a lot in customer service businesses. Dealing with Manager Deborah, my sincere apologies if I misspelled her name, was a negative energy experience all on it's own. Light complexion lady, with soft hair in bun, pink sweater tonight. Miss ma'am, I understand what you do requires alot of responsibilities, however, your attitude and disposition is with customers definitely needs some adjust
