This Red Lobster happens to be in my neighborhood and my daughter enjoys the biscuits and clam chowder, therefore, we do frequent the location quite often. It has always been at hit or miss on the service, but mostly a miss. Today, my daughter and I went for an early dinner, around 3:30, restaurant was not busy at all. Well, we sat for several minutes, I heard a couple people talking about who was taking our table, that was already uncomfortable because I could hear them talk about our table and whos turn it was to take us. Then the server came to us and greeted us in a rush and asked if we were ready to order, we ordered, food was brought to the table and no issues with the food. My issue is that, throughout the whole dinner, server did not stop once to ask if everything was ok, he only stopped by the table because I asked him for a drink and Tabasco. I could see the whole operation from where I was sitting and it just looked very disfunctional, I could see a manager on the floor, but he never went by to check on the tables, at some point I was trying to get someone's attention to get the dirty plates out of my table and to order dessert, but no one came by, I could see the manager looking at our table a couple times, but there was so sense of urgency, so he never bothered to stop by and check if we needed anything. After a while, the server shows up with check on his hand, I once againg felt rushed, I had to tell him that we were not done yet and that I wanted to order dessert but I did wish that the dirty dishes were cleared from my table, well, the server had the audacity to say: "I know what I'm doing bro"! I did respond to him that I was not his bro by the way and ordered my dessert.
I am in the restaurant business myself, and I would normally live with bad service and never come back again, but once again my daughter loves going here for the biscuits. I know that this type of establisments are run by big corporations with certain standards, I would hope that someone that cares about the guests experiences read my review and do some digging to evaluate the team at this particular location.
On a postive note, throughout my whole time in there, I did notice the bartender, a gentleman that was taking care of the bar and the tables right in front, he definitely had a higher level of guest service! I observed the way he took care of his tables, and I was thinking to myself, maybe the others can learn some basic hospitality skills from him.
To conclude my review, I had no issues with the food, but the service here needs a lot work.
