Veteran LA Chef Govind Armstong Finds Wellbeing in Family and Community | Eater LA

"An oceanfront, high-profile seafood restaurant overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Pier where Govind Armstrong has served as executive chef since 2017, leading a team of about 12 cooks and chefs and juggling family life as a married father of three. Armstrong discussed preparing for one of the busiest service periods of the year (Valentine’s Day) while he was home nursing sick twins, and the operational pressures he faces: rethinking how to make the business profitable and sustainable, having to cut back on staff, and worrying that proposed tariffs could affect a vital import—Canadian lobster. He described the broader endurance required in the trade: "Every chef’s life is an almost daily struggle, no matter the intentions. Being with someone who understands [in this case, Govind’s wife Julia) is huge. Being with a family that gets what you do is great, but I still want to figure out a better way to divide my time." On leadership and kitchen culture he said, "Growing up in this business, I did not want to become the ‘yelling, screaming, banging, throwing stuff around’ kind of chef. Even in my position, I’m not afraid to ask for help. But you see some chefs destroyed in this line of work. I try to find my zone, stay there, and be consistent." He described good days (products arriving on time; collaborative dish development with strong execution) and bad days (vendors sending wrong product; staff calling in sick) and emphasized his continued commitment: "I still love this game and solving problems." He also described his personal recharge practices—dropping what he's doing to spend time with his kids and gardening: "We just installed another raised bed at home and that’s the most therapeutic and fun. It definitely brings me joy, and it reaps benefits." On support systems, he noted partner and family support and a network of mentors: "Julia gets it. She understands me... My mom has always been the biggest supporter. My coworkers have always been positive. I have a lot of mentors whether it’s — Wolfgang, Brad Johnson, Susan Feniger, or Mary Sue Milliken — I can just pick up the phone." - Mona Holmes

It’s was a really busy Saturday evening but the wait for a open table was no too long at all. The staff at this Red Lobster location were very nice and very professional. The food was delicious and the drinks were made just right. I definitely would recommend this location.

Google
Overall, it was a good experience! It was a group of 5 of us, we were seated immediately. The waiter was a bit slow to come around to ask for drinks, slow for food too. As well, it was a bit slow for the food and drinks to come out too. Good thing we had the cheddar biscuits to fill the time 😁. The food and drinks were all correct and tasted great! After we got our food, our waiter must've forgotten about us completely because she never checked in on us. We even had to get up to go ask for the check too. However, the manager made it right and gave us a gift card to apologize.

I abaolutely love my Red Lobster experience. This is my favorite restaurant and I adore everyone here. I love coming in here, I am a regular and it's a comfortable place to have lunch and or dinner. The customer service is awesome and the experience is 5 star for me. Shout out to Taylor my server who is fast, fun, beautiful and great energy and attentiveness, she is one of my favorites, along with the rest of my favorite crew. Its just an awesome experience here. I will continue to patronize this restaurant. Everyone is wonderful, servers, cooks and even management. 5 stars 🌟. I love the weekly deals, come and experience it, you will not be disappointed.

I was disappointed. Three days ago, for my birthday, I decided to try this restaurant. I ordered online and took it to go. My order was the “Grilled Lobster, Shrimp and Salmon” and my partner created his Own Ultimate Feast as you can see in the pictures. When I opened the package, my food looked like a disaster and the steak of the other food was dry; plus, the loaded potatoe didn’t look the same like we saw on the picture and to conclude, the vegetables used in my coleslaw weren’t fresh because there was weird smell.

Google
We were celebrating a birthday. Great location, clean and a pleasant atmosphere. We were seated right away and the waitress took our order in a timely manner. Once the food was delivered, the waitress seemed to have disappeared, not refilling our glasses or asking if we needed anything else. It was a good relaxing time and enjoyed our meal.

Just got done eating a delicious dinner and I've got to say my server Taylor was absolutely amazing she was attentive and sweet. The cook Lily did an amazing job and they had an amazing manager Brook as well. I definitely recommend this location and the staff!

Google
I went to Red lobster for my birthday and I got the double crab which is so very delicious and I always have the garlic butter on top. Including a side salad with ranch as well as hush puppies. The hush puppies are really crisp and hot and they even had corn in them. Very tasty. Dessert was death by chocolate and if you know you know 😁🥳🥳🥳 I was so pleased with the service. They are very attentive and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. I had a great experience overall.

First-I left a review and they had it removed because it was bad. So I am writing again. We arrived and were seated by Angie. She was pushing that they are wanting google reviews good or bad because of what happened in the news so that people know they are open. She talked about the google reviews the entire time to the table and before she left the table. She said Mackenzie would take care of us. Mackenzie came to the table next to us and never stopped by our table. She was gone for 10 minutes to the table next to ours. She must have realized we were in her section because she finally came over and asked what we wanted. We placed our order and she left. She did return with our drinks. When our food was ready she didn’t bring it out someone else did. We had better service from that individual. No biscuits. No salad with meals anymore. The music was so loud you couldn’t hear a conversation. No refills on drinks and I had my water gone before my meal was delivered. It has been awhile since we have come to Red Lobster. After this experience it will likely be a longer time-for sure not this store. I wouldn’t beg for reviews unless you are going to provide good service. There were enough staff so that isn’t the excuse. So, I read Mackenzie can do a good job from other reviews but she must only provide that level of service to certain customers.

Yelp
We had a great time with Marissa as our server! She was willing to make sure we were very pleased with our menu items and they were delicious! Thank you Red Lobster!!!

Yelp
After church on Sunday, Red Lobster was our chosen lunch spot! We ate good! Our server, Nia, handled our party of 10 like a champ!!! She was on top of everything. The restaurant was quiet with just a few others sitting near our section. Ice cream was given to the three folks in our group with July birthdays and the staff sung happy birthday to them!

Yelp
No lobster in the lobster bisque. Just orange soup. No meat No anything. Had to add my biscuits just to add something to it. It tastes like canned bisque. Not good at all. Waitress was great but the food for the price just sucks. For the price it should taste way better. Super disappointed. Will not be back. Place was empty but at least the waitress was great.

Yelp
We haven't visited Red Lobster in a LONG time, and I was craving the biscuits. The biscuits still do not disappoint. Our entrees were good, but nothing spectacular (that comes along with being a chain restaurant). Overall the staff was very friendly, with great service!

Yelp
We went to Red Lobster at my brother's request for his birthday dinner. The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and we got our food in a timely manner. My husband and I really enjoyed the Cajun shrimp trio. It was flavorful and the shrimp was cooked well. The shrimp style in the middle was both of our favorites. It seemed like it was infused with flavor. Overall, it was a good experience and we would go back again!

Yelp
First, I want to give props to our server, Alex M - the real hero of the evening. Dealing with the chaos of five out of six of us going all-in on the ultimate shrimp deal. Now, about the nitty-gritty: the kitchen took its sweet time with the first round of food. I mean, it was a Monday, and the place wasn't exactly buzzing, so we rolled with it. But Alex, kept everything rolling. After the first round was out, he immediately put the next round's order in. The next rounds came out faster than the first. As for the food, the shrimp linguini was a bit saucier than I'd prefer, and the sauce wasn't really my jam. There was more sauce than noods. Oddly enough, it worked some magic the next day - tasted way better after I scraped off a bit of the excess before taking it to go. Pro tip for fellow shrimp enthusiasts: no doggy bag allowed for the ultimate shrimp dinner. But fear not, if you can't conquer the shrimp mountain in one sitting, they've got your back with a to-go container. So, while the Shrimp Linguini didn't quite hit the mark for me, the overall experience, thanks to Alex and the shrimp extravaganza, was a solid win. Another tip, the endless shrimp is now $25 per person. On the bright side, some people where complaining that the shrimp linguini was not longer on the menu, but as of yesterday, it was definitely there.

Yelp
Our hostess Kia was good hostess and got our food to us real quick and really nice and she brought us more biscuits when we asked and to go boxes. she really good hostess. she should recieve a bonus and being a nice hostess

Yelp
Tonight was by far the worst dining experience, food and service I have ever had. The server Itzel was friendly and empathetic. As a server myself, as well as an ex red lobster employee I understand that mistakes happen. It was very clear that our order was forgotten about as it took 45 mins to get our food and we watched many tables come and go . That was frustrating but I was willing to look past it. It then took another 5 mins to get silverware and another 20 mins plus me flagging down another server and having a conversation with Lorenzo the manager before I ever got a refill on my water. I did not have anything to drink the entire time our food was on the table. the shrimp and scallops were way past rubber and more like plastic they were so over done. my daughter enjoyed the crab legs. The pasta would have been fine had I not had to let it sit there waiting for silverware and a water. What was ordered - 1 lb of crab with garlic butter potatoes and broccoli chicken Alfredo add scallops on a bed of rice and add grilled shrimp. - what was eaten 1lb of snow crab and 3 bites of pasta- no sides no add ons... what we paid $54.81 - We will not be back. Sad to see a restaurant that I once helped take to diamond club fall so far below the bar. As I stated previously, mistakes happen but when they are not rightfully corrected comprehended or compensated by management-you lose customers. Kristin

Yelp
Bookguy was thinking about prime rib. Then, checking the prices, decided that Red Lobster would be a better choice. Red Lobster is definitely a seafood lover's place. If you're looking to eat more vegan, the only choices basically are sides. But that's OK because you know that's what it's gonna be like when you go there. Bookguy ordered shrimp linguine and seafood stuffed mushroom caps. And of course there were some of their famous biscuits. He enjoyed everything. I sampled part of a mushroom and it was just okay for me considering I am not a fan of mushrooms or seafood. I do love the biscuits, which are a highlight for me. I ordered sides: baked potato which was covered in salt that I had to rub off, a small serving each of coleslaw and broccoli. The best thing I had was lemon cake with raspberry drizzle. I also had a happy hour margarita that had an odd aftertaste. Maybe it was the brand of tequila used for the happy hour. I wouldn't get it again. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our waiter was attentive without being pushy. He helped us use the table side checkout device which was new to us. All in all, we had an enjoyable date night dinner there.

Yelp
Thank you Ref Lobster and especially Omar for the best service we've had in a long time! Had a blast with our son celebrating his Birthday and the food was great.
google avatar

Yelp
Wife and I came here for dinner. For the most part the food was okay. The signature seafood mushrooms were mostly bread and very little seafood. The lobster tail was good and the garlic shrimp scampi was okay. The bar lobster linguine was probably the best of all. Our server Sherrie was good and conscientious of our needs. The ambiance was nice, but a number of bugs were flying around the section we were dinning which was distracting for our table and others.

Yelp
It was our wedding anniversary during the work week so my spouse and I celebrated on Saturday by going to Red Lobster (his choice but turned out to be a good one). We jobbed out all morning around the house and didn't make it there until about 1:30pm but that turned out to be a good time because it wasn't loud or crowded. We had a nice quiet booth and our server (Jenny?) was just great. We both opted for the "Ultimate Feast" with lobster, crab legs, 2 kinds of shrimp and 2 sides. And a feast it was!! For my sides I got steamed broccoli and rice. The rice was just okay but everything else was wonderful. For dessert we split a slide of vanilla bean cheesecake. They were having a fundraiser for the Make-a-Wish foundation - donate $5 and get a $10 off coupon to be used on the next visit so it looks like we'll be back before the end of June. I look forward to it!!

Yelp
We celebrated my Dad and Step Mom's Wedding Anniversary at this Red Lobster tonight. The food was delicious and server Dominique was excellent. Dominique brought us extra saucers and forks for cake and helped us celebrate. We had a great time.

Yelp
Got sat quickly but it took about 15 minutes to get drinks and order. tables that came in about 20 minutes after us were served first. Food came to the table cold. Waitress was never around unless bringing something to the table, took about 20 minutes to get a refill on water with how inattentive she was. Overall 90 dollars for the poor service and cold food is horrible.

Yelp
Now, I can't say I'm a frequent patron of Red lobster only been about three times in person but these trying times of social distancing and my love for crab legs made me order take out, twice. Both times same thing except the second they gave me rice pilaf instead of green beans! And yes, that's important. Nobody wants that dry rice! Anyways.. it's a chain. Nice service. Food was good. Pickup was simple. Bout a pound of crab legs for around 20 bucks and comes with two sides. Shrimp scampi meal and any other meal for the most part comes with their signature biscuits. Hopefully next time they give me my green beans and not rice and quality crab legs. That's all I'm concerned with.

Payton F.

Yelp
We didn't get a waitress until 20 minutes after we had been seated, our drinks were brought out 15 minutes after our first basket of biscuits were served. The basket only came with 4 biscuits. There was 2 lemons in my strawberry lemonade when I never asked for any lemons. Not to mention it was a 55 minute wait and they forgot us on list of people waiting, forcing us to remind them of how long until we get sat. They charged me for unlimited shrimp when I only got the double.
google avatar

Arian N.

Yelp
Their endless shrimp is the only reason I come to this place, price is $17.99 on weekdays and $22.99 on weekends (kinda overpriced). The waiters are really nice, and the environment is decent. Kinda disappointed that they got rid of linguine shrimp from endless shrimp menu. Their 2 best options are shrimp scampi and grilled shrimp if you order endless shrimp. Their cheesy bread is one of the best in my opinion. Overall this place is ok.

Yelp
My dad begged (ok maybe he didn't beg) me to take him here for Father's Day this year, so I buckled and bought him the Ultimate Feast, which contains shrimp, crab, lobster, and sides. We also had my wife and kids with us, so it was a full table of food and options to try. Unfortunately, this wasn't the best experience I've had in the vast number of restaurants in Omaha thus far, as the salmon was extremely dry, the steak was past well-done when we ordered a medium, and the overall feel of the restaurant wasn't what I've been used to for a Red Lobster (albeit I haven't been to Red Lobster is over a decade). The ultimate feast seemed like a good choice, but also a bit pricey for the quality of food. Pros: Mango Margarita was fantastic; they have a military discount; sides were delicious; and the biscuits! I love the biscuits! I could easily go here and eat only the biscuits as a full meal. Overall, I wouldn't choose this restaurant for my next meal, but there are options on the menu that are worth your time.

Yelp
David was amazing and made our experience special and exciting especially for me being out to celebrate my birthday. Best server ever!

Yelp
Wow! The food was very good! I was by myself. When I told the hostess, "One", she implied I should sit at the bar, but I didn't want to. And that's okay, but silly me I felt like I was taking up a whole booth and that the waitress would be cheated out of a tip from a bigger group. Well, I prefer not to be waited on by the bartender and I didn't want a drink... so there. I ordered the Salmon New Orleans with broccoli and green beans. She asked if I wanted a half portion and I replied, "Yes". I didn't get a half portion, but it's okay because I was SO hungry and the food really was SO good. FYI - there was no mention of half portions for this particular entree on the menu. I was surprised when she asked and was excited to be able to get one, but I'll repeat. I didn't mind. It was delicious! The veggies were done to perfection and tasted just a bit of butter and spice. They were not drowning in butter and they were not too salty. The broccoli was a little 'stemmy', but that didn't stop me from eating every bite. The salmon was done to perfection. It flaked beautifully and was so moist. The shrimp and pico de gallo added just the right addition of texture and zing. As with the veggies, the salmon was flavorful and nicely seasoned. Best of all it was not too salty. So many restaurants rely on supplying flavor through salt. Not the case with this meal. My goal was to stay paleo and this particular menu item fit the bill perfectly. I passed on the cheddar biscuits. Can you believe it?
google avatar

Stacia N.

Yelp
The cheddar biscuits. Let's just address those first. If you took, the feeling of sitting on a warm beach with an ice cold drink in your hand, sun beating down on you as you smell that ocean breeze & someone else watching your toddlers/teenagers, and combined it with the sheer bliss of buttery garlic goodness; you have just smelled the biscuits coming out of the oven and approaching your table. If you dont fill up on those, the crab legs, shrimp & lobster tails are always delicious & piping hot. I wish they had al you can eat shrimp more often, and maybe a little more variety on those, but Im just being picky now. Enjoy!

Joy F.

Yelp
wonderful people and food very fast caring happy staff that has defiantly the kind of service you look for when trying to get the whole package (great food and service) defiantly a great place to dine in

Robert F.

Yelp
They were very argumentative and the food was cold and the manager refused to provide a policy
google avatar

Yelp
We were seated immediately because we were those annoying customers that waited outside until they opened for lunch. Food: Simple order today, I ordered a bowl of clam chowder and Caesar salad with chicken. I love love love Red Lobster's clam chowder. I've never gotten a bad bowl. I want to be buried in it! The salad was good too, chicken was perfect. Of course the biscuits are always good. I have noticed that they seem less buttery the last few times I've went (not just this location) Service: We had an awesome server! He was super friendly and attentive. Atmosphere: Standard Reb Lobster atmosphere. Smells like lobsters and kind of dark. Overall: I recommend this location for lunch!

Yelp
We had gift cards and a free appetizer so ventured into the chain world. We have dined at this location a few times previously and thought it was decent. Nothing about our dinner was terrible, but had we not had a gift card it would have not have been worth the money. Although it was a quiet Tuesday night it took several minutes for the hostess to seat us and our server to check in. She was very friendly and I had the feeling they were understaffed. I started with a martini which was dirty, not how I ordered it, but I did not send it back and made do. Shrimp cocktail was the highlight. Caeser salad looked good but was just OK. Something about the flavor was just a bit off. Biscuits of course were good. I had grilled trout. It was OK but that's about it. Nothing I could put my finger on tastewise but I didn't care for it. A little bit dry perhaps. Trish had a combination platter with fries. She didn't like the butter sauce on the lobster tails. Looking back I would have ordered the trout blackened instead of grilled and Trish would have ordered strictly shrimp. Knowing that we could have spent the same amount of money at Le Voltaire and had Cedric's bouillabaisse, I would have felt very foolish eating here instead had it not been for the gift cards.

Yelp
I like the curves Side pick up.. The food come out hot the people that brings it out kind and courteous and when I do go inside the bathrooms are clean and it is a clean facility.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Had a very nice server and gave a tip for his positive attitude. I believe his name was James. I am definitely coming back here with my fiancé!

Yelp
Sat at the small bar which would have been fine but our waitress pretty much deserted us. Not sure what the deal was but could not get water until mid-way through. She just disappeared and came back only rarely and to give us the bill. The drinks and food were fine. Probably won't go back. P.S. One happy hour wine is not good especially when it is Sutter Home Merlot.https My friend, Cheryl, added this: My drink was just OK, not good. I wouldn't go back to it. Our waitress was OK in the beginning & then only came back for the tips. Even the other people who were behind the bar didn't ask us if we needed anything. They just kept cleaning. The person who brought our food didn't get the water when she was asked either. The whole place had no customer service. Lots of other places to choose from!

Yelp
Came in for a quick lunch. Sat at the bar area. My server Zaria J (I hope that's her name, took it off my receipt) was super sweet and prompt! I ordered sweet chili shrimp and mussels from the appetizer section. Absolutely delish. The over all restaurant feel needs to be brightened up a bit. More lighting and lighter furnishing would make it come to life.

Yelp
I ordered the lobster lover's dream with baked potato & crispy brussels sprouts. I was given shrimp alfredo & coconut shrimp by door dasher Htee at 4:35p. My order actually had Becca C's name on it. I informed the dasher that the order was not mine and belong to someone else. The dasher suggested I call the restaurant to rectify the situation since this was the order she was given. The restaurant employee said we have your order right here and the dasher should come back to the restaurant for it. I finally received my food at 5:37p. The biscuits were rock hard, inedible and cold. The crispy Brussels sprouts had too much glaze on them, were burnt or extra charred and cold. The shrimp and lobster pasta was cold and had absolutely no flavor. The lobster was cold and tasteless. The potato was the only item that was hot but bland. The cheese for the baked potato was insufficient and melted in the container. I am thoroughly disappointed with the below expectations, subpar food I received today.

Yelp
Not bad. Not great. But not bad. Food at Red Lobster is a hit or miss. Sometimes the food taste completely "pre-prepared" and other times it taste freshly prepared. This time the food tasted like the former.

Yelp
I have become a bit addicted to reading the "review" stream on Yelp. It's fun to spend five minutes a day seeing the past 24 hours of experiences people have had here in Omaha and with friends around the world. I have seen a ton of negative reviews on Red Lobster recently. I haven't been to a Red Lobster in probably a decade and as it is a chain it's not on my radar. I was invited out last night to go to Red Lobster and part of the reason I said yes was to see how on point some of these bad reviews have been. We got there at 8PM on a Saturday night and the place had business, but wasn't over the top full. We were seated right away. We had a baby with us and they brought out a sling immediately to put him in. We were told right away that it is Lobsterfest and given the run-down. Drink orders taken right away, waters brought out, orders taken, biscuits brought out. Our sever Sheena (I remember because of the Ramones song) was super friendly, informative and made suggestions when asked. Our soups and salads came quickly. Our entrees came right after we were finished with those. They were brought out by multiple members of the staff and our waitress was also right there thanking them. A great example of teamwork. The biscuits are as amazing as they always were and the next thing you know you already had five (and when did a ninja bring more of them?). The clam chowder soup was lacking. It was a bit bland and not as thick as I would have liked. I was expecting more. The first of the lobster entree's (a split lobster....I am no seafood expert) was delicious, tender and tasty. The second was a bit dried and rubbery. The baked potato was pretty good. I am a stickler on baked potato's and I want it burning hot in tinfoil and full of butter. This wasn't perfect...but it was fine. The shrimp scampi was fantastic. A ton of shrimp, the sauce was thick and stuck to the perfectly cooked noodles. There are some pasta places that could learn from this dish. We also ordered some crazy drinks for fun...I had some tall crazy strawberry daiquiri that had a very good presentation and tasted excellent also. After our meal a friendly manager came over to check with us...checked in on the sleeping baby and seemed to genuinely want to know out thoughts. I told him that I thought Sheena was fantastic and she really was. I have been a sever, managed retail for many years and been in customer service all my life and she gets an A+ and is a rare find. Indugling in some Red Lobster is now back on the radar.

Yelp
Wow, Red Lobster was actually something else. Can't talk highly enough about Red Lobster. I am really glad that I wound up ordering Nov 24 - Feb 07, it was fantastic, just a remarkable taste. Team is really polite and will help you with everything. I definitely see myself returning here in the future.

Yelp
I was treated so poorly at the RL on S. 72nd St. Normally the food is ok, but the customer service is usually Great! The on duty manager got upset and had a full blown argument with me because my seafood pasta had a raw shrimp, and I returned my full plate after one bite. The manager offered to take 30% off my meal. That was not fair in my opinion because I had only had 1bite, and after realizing the shrimp was raw I lost my appetite. The manager lost control to the point she kicked my whole party out and said she would take care of the check she just wanted us out. As I was leaving I was carrying my sons left overs. The manager got upset I guess because I BB was carrying out left overs, in a box they gave us. She yelled at me and said I couldn't take any food out! She got so upset she lunged at me, luckily her staff was there to restrain her. I called to report it to a manager. I informed him that I didn't appreciate the poor treatment and I felt threatened. His response was "We at RL Are Family & We Stick Together!" I have reported details to headquarters and am anxiously waiting to see how they handle this matter. Needless to say I won't be going back! I spoke with Corporate on Monday they offered a $30 gift card. I will be contacting a lawyer today.

Yelp
My Mom and I just had a wonderful service experience at Red Lobster. Our wait staff person named Kesha, was absolutely amazing. Professional, friendly, attentive and courteous. Wow!! I think she made the food taste even better. LOL!!! Thank you Red Lobster for hiring this asset. She really should be training all of your employees how to give this type of excellent table service. Thank you Kesha!!! Keep doing a great job!!!

Yelp
We had a hankering for crab legs and seafood. Went to the Red Lobster off of 72nd. Good service, but seafood was just okay. Salad comes with meal - had a Caesar, not really all that special. Had much better. Entrees: Crab legs were slightly overdone, but still okay. Bar Harbor Lobster Bake - A roasted split Maine lobster tail, tender shrimp, sea scallops, mussels and linguini in a garlic and white wine broth. (Not bad) Dessert: Warm Chocolate Chip Lava Cookie - A warm, thick chocolate chip cookie with a molten chocolate center, topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce. (Also just okay, nothing special - probably would not get it again)

Yelp
So my wife and I travel for a living and are based out of Omaha. We LOVE Red Lobster. I hired an Uber. The guy was spot on and on time. I was able to have my Uber wait for me..... over 40 minutes for a take out order. That forty minutes was AFTER I arrived at red lobster. I will give this location this...they did refund me $15 for the wait. Regardless. This was their shrimp special, we did get plenty of food but never received ONE garlic biscuit! Can you imagine??! We are big fans of this chain and will continue to deal with them. I will, however, give BIG thumbs up to our Uber driver, Lloyd from Omaha! Thanks Lloyd!

Yelp
Hiya all took my special person to this location. The food and drinks were very delicious and we received great service from our waiter and hostess Joshua and Karen. So I do recommend this place.

Yelp
Gross! I was dragged here last night by friends, and hadn't eaten here in atleast 5 years so figured I'd give it a shot. Everything sucked, even the biscuits. Oh my gosh, how much sodium can one restaurant cram into their food! And everything is atleast $15+ for the most basic of meals. Never, EVER again. Ughhh.

Yelp
I ordered the rock lobster tail. The server explained that a Maine tail is more tender, but it is smaller and can be ordered a la carte. I said I was familiar with rock lobster and wanted it. She said she mentioned the Maine because she "didn't want any problems." To me that meant that i could not return it if i didn't like it. It was ok, but somewhat overcooked and overly seasoned. I tried others' lobster dishes at our table, with smaller tails, and they were lacking in flavor. I've cooked supermarket frozen tails that had much more flavor.

Yelp
As many times as we've been here, I never get sick of it. The only drawback is the price. We can never seem to spend less than $100.00 when we come here. Surprisingly slow for a Holiday. Everyone must be out camping or at fireworks shows cause it is dead in here today!

Yelp
I don't know what has happened to this place since my last review, BUT ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! I'm from the east coast, so shellfish - primarily lobster is my forte, I still would venture to Red Lobster. After the experience I had there on Saturday, I do not recommend this place. First off, we were at a table of 6 (3 couples). Two of us had water, the others had tea or soda. Those of us with water probably shouldn't have ordered water. We sat the ENTIRE meal with empty glasses. Our server, Dave, filled up the sodas and teas - once, but when we would ask about water, he said he'd be right back...never to show up again with water. Our meals started off okay, except for my salad. I understand that restaurants order their garden salads in giant bags, but the least they could do was PICK OUT THE MOLDED AND WILTED pieces of lettuce. I put one piece on my appetizer plate, Dave picked it up, I pointed out the piece, he said okay, and left with the plate. When he came to collect our salad plates, I pointed out the VERY MOLDY piece of lettuce I found shortly after he left the first time (of which had caused me to completely not touch my salad, I can handle a wilted brown piece, I will not tolerate mold on my salad). I pointed it out, he snapped at me with an "okay" and took off with the plates. At this point, I'm about livid, but being with friends, I was trying to be patient. I order the same meal every time I come to Red Lobster: Ultimate Feast, but please sub the fried shrimp (Walt's Favorite Shrimp) with broiled sea scallops - I'm not one for most fried foods, the oil churns my stomach. Four of us had ordered meals that came with crab legs. He brought out one plate with two crackers and 2 wipes...there are four of us eating crab legs, and I love my friends, but I'm taking one of the wipes! We asked for more, we got nothing. Also, one of the four of us didn't receive crab legs. My plate came with very poorly fried scallops (to the point the so-called breading was falling off and there was a puddle of clear oil under the scallops). When I brought up that I asked for broiled, he snapped at me again with a monotone "okay" and said he'll be right back...before I could even finish my sentence or my friend could say she was missing her crab legs. He comes back a little while later, still no scallops, of which my friend was able to ask about her crab legs. Those come out fairly quickly, I still didn't have my scallops. Um...I'm not eating the fried puddle on my plate, so I inquired, again, VERY NICELY about the scallops. Finally, they come out. I brought the situation up to the very tall long-haired manager on the way out but at this point, we were so mad with the service, I just wanted to leave the restaurant, in which we did. If you want to venture to this place, sure, be my guest, but do not sit in Dave's section apparently. After coming here once or twice (if not more) a month for several years, I will say, this last experience has me bittered enough to never go back.

Yelp
Very good Red Lobster location, was very clean. My wife steak was a little bit more on the medium well side and asked for medium but other than that CJ was our waitress and did an amazing job. Will definitely go back!

Yelp
Had an amazing dinner and an even better waiter. Adam was the very entertaining and had an uplifting spirit. The chef also cook the steak, from our steak and lobster dinner, to perfection!
