Red Mountain Alpine Lodge

We had our wedding at the Lodge two weeks ago. What an Magical place! Whether you go for an event or just a weekend getaway, you will not be disappointed. The location is incredibly easy to access. The people who work there are wonderful. The owner sets a precedent for quality people that truly can’t be beat. Her personal touch radiates through the entire staff, making you feel like you are visiting family. The food and wine list are fantastic. The accommodations are not just comfortable, they are beautifully thought out. And, of course, the backdrop of our beautiful Colorado mountains is magical. The Lodge is a first class operation. I almost hate to recommend it, because it won’t take long before they are so booked up we won’t be able to get a reservation! It is truly that special.

I cannot say enough about how great an experience staying with Red Mountain Alpine Lodge is! This trip has become an annual event for us. The hospitality that Andrea, Aaron, and everyone at the lodge provide is second to none! Great people, food, lodging, and adventures! The terrain and snow are amazing and being able to ski with Keith, Mason, Andrew, and Pat from San Juan Mountain Guides was amazing! Keeping everyone safe while finding great snow isn't easy but they have perfected it! Can't wait to go back! Thank you all for such a great trip!!!

The moment our party of 17 entered the Lodge, we were treated like family. The San Juan Mountain guides kept our group safe and treated us to amazing and memorable tours 3 days in a row. Our host, Andrea, was so friendly and fun to be around. She treated us as if we where her family. Aaron and Selene served the most amazing breakfasts, afternoon soup, and dinners. There was ample selection of high quality beverages as well. Hot showers, comfortable beds, and open seating made for a very comfortable and relaxing experience. Our group can't wait to return to Red Mountain Lodge!!!

My husband and I recently held our micro-wedding at the Red Mountain Alpine Lodge. We could not have been happier. Andrea went above and beyond with special touches to make our event even more special than I could have imagined. It would have been spectacular regardless as the lodge is a truly magical place, but her care and attention to detail was extraordinary! She made us and our guests feel at home and loved. It was like having friends host our wedding even though that was the first time we had met. The food was amazing, the accommodations were beautiful, and the service was out of this world. The staff truly went out of their way to make sure everyone had the best time. The lodge itself is one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever been in and really does have a special, magical, and almost sacred feel to it. Thank you so much Andrea and crew! I can’t wait to come back!

Amazing place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Not only is the lodge extremely luxurious when compared to other lodging options in the area but the views are world class. The staff was super friendly and the meals were soooo tasty. In addition to the stellar accommodations, the location provides access to some of the best backcountry skiing, climbing, and hiking in the USA. After one stay at the red mountain lodge, I have no doubt that it will be going back for many years to come. I would highly recommend a stay at the Red Mountain Lodge.

My family just spent 3 nights at RMAL and it was amazing. There is a 100% chance I will be returning as soon as possible. The lodge is beautifully located and designed to balance restful spaces for guests with community spaces that bring everyone together. The routine is well designed too - we loved the 4 pm soup after skiing and all the meals were great. So much skiing terrain right out the door thanks to San Juan Mountain Guides (see separate 5 star review there). It's like ski-in-ski-out but in the backcountry. And highest on the list is the staff. The owners, Mark and Andrea, clearly love what they have built (as did we!) and Caroline and Jake filled the lodge with smiles and good food and music. There really isn't another place I'd rather be snowed in for 3 days.

Red Mountain Alpine Lodge is a dream come true - the views and proximity to hiking trails is spectacular . The owners and staff are first class and made sure that our stay was perfect. Amazing meals made from scratch. The beds were very comfortable and easy to fall asleep after a long day of adventuring. The atmosphere in the lodge is warm and inviting. I really love that the lodge is solar powered and off the grid - a great escape from every day life without having to rough-it. I can't recommend this lodge enough!

RMAL is an amazing lodge! Currently staying there forntwo days on a hiking trip with San Juan Mtn Guides. Beautiful building and wonderful food! Lena was the host and chef and does an awesome job! Her meals and desserts are the best!
