Red Orchids Asian Bistro

An amazing meal of Asian fusion at a great price. We did the euro 60per person tasting menu and I cannot believe how much high quality food we received (the sushi alone was worth it!). The staff were so nice and friendly and great vibe inside. Will come back again. Also great if you are at the nearby beaches to go somewhere away from the tourist spots.

Excellent Fusion kitchen, a very nice choice of food, sympathetic Service and a free parking, what could you ask for more? Thank you for a lovely Birthday menu. Should you be asked if you want fried rice instead of plain white rice, say yes.

I don't understand how a place with food like this can have these kinds of reviews. The nigiri was served with wodden chopsticks straight out of the lunch service. Size of the nigiri does not mean that bigger is better. Pricing was terrible for what you got. My local asian foodtruck with half the price does it 10x better. The meat was terrible, tasted as if it was curated with baking powder. In the 22£ dish there was frozen corn bits that you buy from the store. Selery does not have anything to do in this kind of food. Would choose a pizza over this any day.

It is one of the best Asian restaurant near to Haarlem. We live the sushi and sashimi the food is amazing! Love it definitely will come more often

We came to eat in the evening and it was really great. Friendly, warm and helpful people. The food was really good, one portion was more than enough, I was even surprised that I almost didn't finish! Dishes, drinks and water for 25 per person. For the quality, this is a very reasonable price. It was great and I really recommend this place.

Restaurant calls itself "Modern Asian" but in reality that just means "contemporary standard western" Ordered a banana leaf wrapped sea bass that tasted quite mild and bland. The fish also had quite a few bones in it. I also tried the Szcheuan Trio dish and it came in a very well decorated plate. However the food tasted like something you made a home by putting together frozen chicken and veggies mixed with a bit of teriyaki sauce. Service was also a bit slow despite the fact that there were not many customers at the time . Overall, normal bland and bit over priced food presented in nicely decorated plates.

We live in Heemstede for 4 years now, finally wanted to try this Bib Gourmand place for our daugher's birthday - she loves Japanese / Fusion kitchen. Started off pretty strange, we couldn't order the menu as one of us can't eat onions, and the kitchen was not able to NOT add spring onion garniture to each plate. OK - first time for everything. Take note: next to us there were only 3 tables - not a very busy night I hope for the kitchen. We took individual plates without onions to share (all still had onion :-). Dishes were well prepared, great fusion style and good balance of flavors (some a bit sweet to my taste).

As it was recommended by Michelin guide and the rating was very high in the fork app, we decided to visit this place but it was really bad. We ordered 2 types of rolls and 3 types of dim sum, duck . Rolls were so bad , the rice was not cooked as for sushi, the taste was strange, shrimps did not have any taste, I could not eat those rolls. Duck of poor quality , . The price was too high for such quality of food. Do not recommend
