My boyfriend and I ate at the Red Park Pub this past week after hearing great things about it, and it lived up to expectations! The atmosphere is so unique with all the ski culture and license plates on the walls. It's cool looking at all the old photos and history this place has. It's quintessential NH mountain town. We ordered haddock and steak, both were perfectly cooked. To top it off everyone was so incredibly nice! Kathy was our server and she was awesome. We missed the live music because it was a week day but next time we will make sure to hit it on a weekend!

Google
First time in, solid first impressions! Good service. Great food. Too many good looking menu items to try tonight. I went with the chicken n waffles and was really friggin happy with it! Excited to try the burger or steak tips next time!

We came when the band was just starting so it was perfect timing. Very good prime rib and amazing pulled pork with their secret bbq sauce. Chili was also very good; the kitchen can grill your prime rib a little to add some char to it, i will remember to burn my steak a little next time.

I've been to Red Parka only a few times. Great meals. This last time, I was underwhelmed by my meal - enough so that I had to mention it. The restaurant still deserves 5 stars overall for the way they handled the situation. They were graceful, immediately recognized my concerns, and were generous in their remedy. We will be back, of course, and are looking forward to it! Our server was attentive throughout and, although somewhat busy, we didn't wait long for drinks or food.

The Red Parka is a must visit in the North Conway area! We went last night to enjoy some live music, our bartender Nick was very personable and attentive. We went again tonight and sat in the restaurant area for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We ordered the chicken pot pie, prime rib, pot roast, and clam chowder, all dishes were hot and had great flavor and texture. Even the side vegetables were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. We just had water to drink and our waitress was so quick to constantly refill our glasses. For dessert we ordered the mud pie, and when the waitress brought it out she sang happy birthday and the whole restaurant joined in. We’ve never had a bad experience visiting this unique and fun spot!

Google
The Red Parka Pub is one of our go to restaurants when we are staying in North Conway. We love the atmosphere, the food & the service. You have to save room for their MUD PIE! It is HUGE & Delicious! We like to get there early because later there will be a wait. We would highly recommend the Red Parka Pub!

Google
Red Parka is a hidden gem! Their Prime Rib is the best we’ve had, Filet Mignon is perfect, and Chicken and Waffles are amazing. But the reason we come back EVERY week is the staff and service. They are friendly and welcoming and we feel at home when we walk in! Great for everyone including families! Thank you Red Parka for being our go-to! Shout out to our favorite bartender Will!!!

We were visiting NH and stopped by to have dinner, great food and ambiance, we loved the stake and grilled salmon. We saw some beautiful sunflowers and wildlife in the parking lot.

Yelp
We dined on 11/26/22 We got a table right away . Both of us had the prime rib that was cooked to perfection. Our server was Jade. She was a delight. We love coming here when ever we are visiting the area

Yelp
I came from out of state and this was the first restaurant my family and I went to. We had just came from a long day of hiking mount Washington and we decided to give this place a try. We were sitting there for quite a bit waiting for the waitress to come take our drink order. My mother and I both got the salmon and they both were very burnt, top and bottom. My mother took a bite and she told me it was absolutely terrible. I told the waitress and she gave us both new salmon, still burnt but a little less than before. We were starving and exhausted from the hike earlier that day and just decided to eat it and get out of there quickly. The salmon was still horrible tasting; like burnt cardboard. It had no taste other than the burnt taste. My mother and I both agree that this was by far the worst salmon we've ever had in our entire life's. Worst restaurant I've been to and not a great first impression of New Hampshire food.

Yelp
Much to my disappointment I was in between 2 and 3 stars as of my last trip here. I had been before a year ago and while it was outstanding, it was good. However, my trip here this weekend was not ideal. After a 40 minute wait (which is not a big deal because it was a busy weekend night) we got sat in an almost empty dining room and proceeded to wait another almost 20 minutes for anyone to stop by. I am understanding of a lack of staff or busy night but it was like we were being avoided like the plague. Despite this, we got our drinks and they were delicious, the Winter Evening, especially. This was about the highlight of the night, the Caesar salad was lacking and the mozzarella sticks were microwaved and still cold. The pulled pork sandwich was fine, edible but lacking in any flavor. Moral of the story - go for drinks but skip the food.

Yelp
The best barbecue I've had anywhere since Texas in 2017. The Trifecta is a great way to sample the ribs pulled pork and brisket. Meat was falling off the bone with the best sauce ever.., I'm driving back from Mass just to eat it again but I will order a full rack of ribs a full brisket dinner and a pulled pork sandwich I won't be denied the best of the best.

Yelp
We were at the bar, and the bartenders were so rude and not attentive to their customers. We felt invisible. We also witnessed many customers bypassed and not acknowledged in a very small bar. They laughed at us when we asked for water. One bartender called out our tip, suggesting it was too low. Servers need to earn their tips and not expect that just their presence deserves a 20% tip. Respect and interact with your customers, and you will have a more enjoyable job and earn a better salary. These gentlemen clearly don't like their jobs.

Griff cat G.

Yelp
Great food and service. The barbecue wings were great as well as the chicken parm. The chicken parm was lacking sauce though. While we were paying we noticed they charged us for something we didn't order but after letting our waitress know she quickly fixed the issue. 5 stars for me.

Brenda T.

Yelp
We started with the French Onion soup. It was flavorful but did not over power the onions. It was also had just the right amount of broth. The bread was not hard and perfect for cutting through with a spoon. I ordered the baked haddock. Hardy piece of fish. My husband got the steak tips. He enjoyed them. Tasty. Portions were plenty. Savannah was our waitress. She was super friendly and attentive but did not hover. She was also great at explaining the dishes and helped me decide the right meal for me.

Yelp
Have been coming here for almost 40 years. Salad bar GONE, twice baked potato GONE, steak teriyaki GONE!! Was hoping that post Covid things would get back to normal, but all around extremely disappointing!!

Lori D.

Yelp
So sad and upset that my husband and I were there tonight and were completely ignored by the bartender, as she took care of both of the very nice couples beside us. She made a point of going over to them several times and we sat there with no menus, drinks, etc. it was when she asked the couple next to us if they wanted a second round that I finally said "can we get a drink"? I was ignored. The only difference between us and the other couples is I'm white and my husband is black. I'm so sick that a business can act like this to people who have been going there for 17+ years. Will NEVER return, just disgusted. Terry, we are very sorry your response was what it was as the Business Owner. Guess you had to experience it to believe it.
google avatar

Monte M.

Yelp
Time to sell this business. Faded glory. It used to be something special but those days are long gone. When the current generation took over about 20 years ago, it's been a slow slide downhill (no pun intended). Please retire and sell this landmark before you run it into the ground!
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Great place! Nice comfy space in the pub. Our waitress was very friendly and funny. The horseradish dipping sauce with the fried green beans was very tasty. The ribs were falling off the bone in a nice tangy bbq sauce. The chicken and waffles was also really good!! Add a creme brûlée to the dessert menu and I'd probably give 5 stars!

Yelp
I recently went to the doctor and he sat me down for a stern talk. He said that I don't get enough steak and brownie sundaes in my diet. It was hard to pill to swallow, but he was right. It was at that moment I decided to give my body what it needed. I also added a few trips to the salad bar and several drinks from the alcoholic bar for good measure. Always listen to your doctor!

Yelp
Wow! Amazing food and above and beyond service!!!! I ordered the Prime Rib (Fri and Sat special) and my boyfriend ordered the NY sirloin. Our waiter- I didn't catch his name and he wasn't wearing a name tag- made sure to check that the prime rib would be cooked to my liking before finalizing my order. As a person who likes rare red meat- this is always super appreciated! When our meals came out the waiter explained that the kitchen had accidentally cooked the same sides as my boyfriend for me and he brought out the veggies I had ordered on a small dish. I really liked that he had already noticed and fixed the problem before bringing my food to the table! I have never had that happen in a restaurant and I was impressed! The meal was perfection- I ate everything except the plain potato which was the extra side brought to me by mistake. My favorite side was the baked potato with the cheese and spices mixed in. WOW. I will be experimenting in my own kitchen to try to recreate that amazing side!!!!! At the end of the meal my boyfriend found a small piece of plastic in his potato's - since we've both worked in the restaurant business we both know things like this happen sometimes. We alerted our waiter so that he could let the staff know. We were again so impressed at his quick remedy and hospitality. He took our drinks off the tab ( just sodas), informed us of how the issue happened, and apologized on behalf of the restaurant. The waiter then brought us our check- but surprise! We wanted desert! He put in our order for two brownie sundaes and offered them on the house to continue to remedy the error in the potatoes. The deserts were AMAZING! Brownie sundae perfection! I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was the most excellent service I have had in a restaurant probably ever. I wish I had caught that servers name so I could sing praises upon praises! If you work at this establishment please reach out so I can describe our waiter and you can mention his amazing work!!!!

Yelp
We love coming here whenever we're in town!! I really appreciate the great menu selection here. The atmosphere is casual and pleasant.... Great for kids.. Great beer selection! We're always happy with the quality of the food here!! We're repeat customers!!!
google avatar

Yelp
This was a good find in terms of good food, good craft beer selection, and a nice outdoor patio. I ordered the pasta and my wife ordered the steak tips. The portions were average to small in size. I ordered the house cab and was surprised at the small glass and price. Good experience, but value for money was the issue.

Yelp
Best steaks in the valley. A fun pub and restaurant. Good food, wonderful staff. The owner is always there and mingling with the guests. I love this place
google avatar

Nick K.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place ever since I was a kid and it always delivers. I love the ski bar downstairs, but the dinner is always great - I always get a steak. The Moscow mules were delicious last time and I definitely recommend sharing a mud pie with the table!

Jon S.

Yelp
Loved the pub atmosphere. We sat outside and it was nicely shaded. We went on a Saturday evening (early) and had lovely service and food.

D L.

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped here for an early evening dinner and say out on the back patio. Haddock fish tacos were amazing! So much fish! Ambiance is fun and tuckermans ice cold. Such character inside as well. Never saw the normal dining room but the pub is awesome.

Yelp
Very good. I have been to New Hampshire more times than I can count in my lifetime and have never stopped here. We had a party of 8 and we're told it would be an hour. We decided to wait because the restaurant had a cool vibe. 20 minutes later we were seated. Cheryl, our waitress was great. The food was all delicious. I had a blueberry sangria which was to die for. Family owned for almost 50 years and still booming with business. After I went there I did not wonder why.

Yelp
Was about to write a review on how great our dinner and overall experience was when I saw a review by a person named Alex describing something that didn't happen. (The review is posted right before this) How do I know he is lying? My group and I were sitting right there. What really happened? The guy Alex, gets cut off for acting like a fool in public and getting too drunk. His friends buy him another drink behind the staffs back. When the bartender sees this he takes it away. Guy gets mad and has a drunken fit. What this guy can't comprehend is that the bartender is doing it for his own good. So he doesn't leave and get in an accident, hurt someone or himself. His responsibility is to make sure you leave safe Alex. He has to make sure the restaurant doesn't get its liquor license taken away. But you don't care about that right? You just want to get obliterated and be a jerk in public. Well everyone around you, we were happy you were cut off. You were being rude and obnoxious and ruining the time of everyone in a 100 ft radius. Maybe think before you write a bad review about a restaurant and it's employees for abiding by the law. Or have a few less and act appropriately in public. Get a clue bud.

Yelp
Well.. where to start, the good, bad or ugly. My girlfriend and I stopped here for dinner the other night based on her previous experience here. We arrived at a little after 6 and were sat immediately which was nice. Upon being sat we were immediately told they were out of the special (a 14oz ribeye). Excuse me ... it's barely dinner time and you've already ran out of steak? How is this possible ... anyway... moving on I decided on a lesser steak the 12oz New York strip. Definitely not a steak known for flavor or quality. Once ordering we headed for the salad bar. It was decent. Typical lettuce mix with a variety of toppings and I think 5 or 6 dressings along with some bread. All is good until I get about 3/4 through my salad and find something odd in my mouth. Odd as in a hair which doesn't belong. Considering I am challenged in that department I know immediately it's not mine and of course remove it. I pull ... and pull... and pull some more. Finally all roughly 16-18" of it come out along with the salad it's wrapped around. I notify the waitress of my issue and she says she will notify the manager. (She never comes) Fast forward to the steak. Based on the salad I am apprehensive, but hungry and here it is, ordered medium rare of course. Upon the first cut I am pretty much screwed.. it's not med-rare. It's not medium. It's well done. So I mention it to the waitress when she asks. She agreed and immediately offers to ask for a new steak to be cooked. They bring out a full plate (twice baked potato and veggies -both very very good). The steak .. well ... nope .. straight blue with some grill marks on it. They claim to age steaks in house, but this steak may have been aged about 5 minutes. Better steaks can be gotten at Walmart honestly. My girlfriend ordered a fillet that was also overdone, however her tolerance for ill prepared steaks is greater than mine. The manager did make her way to the table in between steaks and was apologetic. I mentioned the hair as well, to which she replied I don't know. They wear hairnets and offered to remove the salad bar from my tab as well as offering a dessert. In short, they do some things right and more than a few not so much. Maybe it was an off night, maybe it's just not that good anymore. This place is not on my list of places to revisit. There are far too many places out there offering better service and food quality to deal with this.

Yelp
It's been over 8 years since I've been to the Red Parka and I'm happy to say that it has improved greatly!! The clam chowder was excellent and the ribs were AMAZING!! The rib meat just fell right off the bone. The barbecue sauce is out of this world, make sure you ask for extra sauce.

Anna M.

Yelp
Absolutely one of our favourites in the area! ( Sad there's no popcorn anymore though :( )

Yelp
We had been here in the past and the meal was fantastic, atmosphere was great in the restaurant, food was awesome which is what brought us back this time but our experience this time was terrible. It started with the dining room being closed at 5:30PM on a Thursday. We reluctantly sat in the pub instead and should have left as soon as we heard the dining room was closed. The pub was noisy, cheap seating, everything you would expect from a pub and nothing you would expect from a "Steakhouse". We both had the French onion soup and it was terrible, it had no flavor, the crouton had to be cut with a knife and was hard as a rock. We took 2 bites and didn't eat them anymore. The waitress didnt even ask us if there was anythign wrong with them so that was a $16 waste. We both got the steak tips which were not bad but the atmosphere just ruined the meal. $40 steak tips in a pub just don't mix. I may try them again if they open the dining room but otherwise, they should change the name to Red Parka pub and drop "Steakhouse"!

Maureen B.

Yelp
Good food and service, have to get there early, lots of regulars which is always a good sign in my book! Enjoyed the entertainment too.

Alex B.

Yelp
Was trying to close out for 30 minutes. Finally close out after waiting a while... no big deal. Bartender gave me a free drink and then 2 minutes later another tender grabbed it from me and ridiculed me. Infront of the whole bar for no reason. Good vibes until that. Why would you give me a free drink if your going to take it from me 2 minutes later and cause a scene after we did not do anything. I was not trying to get another drink, I was trying to close out... for 30 minutes. And then they have the audacity to make a fool out me in front of everyone for no reason. I will never go back to this restaurant and would recommend everyone to go somewhere else.
google avatar

Yelp
The space itself is a bit dingy, as it hasn't been updated in well over a quarter century. It can be good, if you know what to order and what to stay away from, so its a real life 3.5 stars. The french onion soup is always stellar here, with a deep beef broth and onion flavor. The steak marinade and teriyaki are always seasoned well, nicely charred, and cooked to the proper temperature. The cuts are always different, so sometimes you might receive a bigger portion than others, and the sides aren't all that exciting though. The real star here is the mud pie, which is more of a coffee ice cream cake than a pie, served with hot fudge; its a guilty pleasure.

Elena G.

Yelp
Went there last night around 7:30. Place was very busy, but we were promptly seated in almost an alcove type area to the right of the bar. There were two, two person high tops in the corner. It was a cozy little spot. Lisa was our server and she was fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and attentive even though they were busy. The food started out okay,(French onion soup app, was a bit bland). Fresh, flavorful Caesar salad. The steaks were great. We ordered a sirloin and a filet. Cooked perfectly. Sides were also above average. I definitely recommend this restaurant, especially with Lisa as a server. It's only 4 stars because one of the employees was bouncing in and out, up and down from the other table, where a friend was sitting, the entire time we were there. At one point her friends (4) crowded into the area with their drinks, but she did get up (again) at that point and lead them back to the bar. Oh and the brownie dessert was a warm and fudgy bowl of delicious! We will definitely be back again.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Not impressed at all. Everyone's food at our table had an issue, soggy burger buns, cold fries, stale taco shells, flat beer, red hotdogs??? Additionally it seemed like a chore any time we asked the server for something like napkins, etc. I mean isn't that what she is getting paid for? Lastly, the place could use some renovations on the inside, super old, dusty, etc!

David S.

Yelp
These 5 stars are strictly related to the rack of ribs (got takeout), and they deserve each one. If ribs is a go-to, you're safe here. Ordered on a Monday a little after 6 and was ready to pick up in about 15 minutes.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good restaurant and bar and they have live music watch is a plus I'm visiting from Massachusetts and this is the best place to go to if your looking for a good bar in the area. best bar so far in the Bartlett North Conway area

Marc F.

Yelp
Always love the food at Red Parka. We did take out the food was delicious. Especially thankful to Tory who kindly brought our food out to us. She was also very friendly. Thank you all at Red Parka

Yelp
Been coming here for over 40 years, always had a greet time in a fun environment with nice employees, and good food. Tonight was just a complete and utter fail on all accounts. The 4 of us (2 teens and 2 adults) were sat at a table in the glassed in pub area. We asked if the salad bar was open, and were told "no and its never coming back, it take a whole person to man it every night and we don't have the staff for it" fair enough but the tone was that of a host that hears this a lot and was annoyed by people asking. Server comes, she has zero personality and an overwhelming sense of dreading her job. She never once the whole time smiled, interacted in a way to maybe boost your potential tip, just a girl there to do a job she appeared to hate. Anything we asked for (a fork and a napkin) seemed to displease her, and annoy her even. The chicken parm was not edible, it was soggy wet and bland. It was plated on a plate far to small for it and the pasta witch made it very hard for a teen to cut and eat without it going all over him. Two adults got the ribs, they tasted ok but the actual bones were soft and squishy and if you bit on by accident all the mushy marrow ended up in your mouth, very unappetizing and we have never had this happen before. Told the server about the chicken and ribs she again had no personality, did not care whatsoever, asked if we wanted something else but we were all turned off by this point. Onion soup was bland, wings were good at least. She took the chicken off the bill, thanks I guess. On the way out we mention this to the host and once again we got a person who just didn't care. "Oh sorry" we were told. I get it, covid messed things up, anyone can be a server now, regardless of how well or not you do your job. Do not recommend this place any longer...sadly to say.

Travis M.

Yelp
Came here without any research when another place was in a long wait. So glad we did. We are a family of 5 and the Red Parka Pub delivered delicious food for everyone in our party! The kids had typical kids menus far, but the chicken and waffles (mine) and the fish tacos (for the wife) were so flavorful. They were certainly unexpectedly delicious. We came in a. Sunday night and there was the added perk of live music! This totally set the vibe of the whole place. Run. Don't walk to the Red Parka Pub!

Foodie L.

Yelp
Salad bar was so small and barely had any options. My waitress i forget her name was not friendly at all, she just comes takes your order, bring your food out, and gives you your check. She didnt make you feel welcomed at all. I had a bad experience with my food, I ordered the land and sea special and food what looked like facial hair in my scallops!! i was asked if i wanted a new order but at that point ive already lost my appetite and wanted it removed off my bill which was a hassle! i didnt understand why since i didnt even get to take one bite out of my meal! Once i told wait staff what was on my food almost every employee came out the kitchen to check my table out from a far which i found very rude! wish i took a picture of it before the plate was taken away.

Lloyd A.

Yelp
I don't know how they can ruin a Caesar salad but they managed. And the "famous" onion soup had no taste at all.

Gabriela R.

Yelp
THIS PLACE SUCKS. There were screaming children the entire time, 2 of my friends got food poisoning and our waitress was extremely rude. She barely spoke to us and when she did she had an attitude, the staff was overall unhelpful and the door was awful.
google avatar

Dina T.

Yelp
We ate outside, which was an unexpected pleasure for October. Paul was a friendly and efficient server. The salad bar was good. My filet was done perfectly. Enjoyed our evening!
google avatar

Jacquelyn H.

Yelp
The menu is pretty good here but the food is only ok. We got an order of the French onion soup which was cheesy but not as flavorful as I would have liked. We did order a ribeye and it was large enough to split for dinner after each getting an appetizer. The steak was cooked well and finely seasoned, but could have been seasoned a little heavier. Overall a fine meal but not the best we had in NH.
google avatar

Cindy N.

Yelp
Ordered a medium filet and received a well done filet. Waitress was wonderful and offered me another one. The second one was perfect so all is good. I'd come here again.

Mark D.

Yelp
We had the steak tips and the prime rib. Both were excellent. The service was excellent. Desserts were excellent, my new go to place when up in North Conway area
google avatar

Whitney R.

Yelp
The fish tacos were tasteless and had a weird coating. The coleslaw with the. tacos was absolutely disgusting! The fish was rubbery and crusty at the same time. After I complained the waitress was not very nice to us. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever!!!!!!!!!
google avatar

Tarah F.

Yelp
Our steaks were cooked to perfection. I love the red parka. It's just a great casual spot for a nice steak. My only complaint was that there was a screaming 4 hr old who was extremely disruptive so shame on the parents for not leaving. But it was so bad that management really needed to address it. If we were at the muddy moose, fine. But we were eating a $30 steak and that's just not okay for patrons expecting a nice dinner.

Krisna P.

Yelp
I came here after skiing in the area based on NH restaurant review as known by oldies but goldies. As a steak eater I had been find best and worse cut and burn before. This restaurant called steak house but not exactly know how to cook steak. So sorry ... with the price and the product wasn't worth. Onion soup blend taste and steak dry and tasteless. The service and people were friendly, desert was ok.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
The Red parka pub is a go to restaurant for a good meal. It's food is stupendous with all different verities of drinks. Although it doesn't do lunch witch is very disappointing every other meal is perfect I think a 4 is accurate for this place

Maria M.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Food was ok. Had the surf and turf. Scallops were good. Steak was a little dry.
google avatar

Brandon W.

Yelp
A classic family stop near North Conway. Warm comfort food with drinks served in mason jars gives Red Parka a nostalgic atmosphere that's fits their narrative story line behind the name. Never visited in the summer but the food often draws me in during colder months. Don't order the swordfish. I don't think they even serve swordfish. My point? Order comfort food! Don't order something you would order at a fine dinning restaurant. They do the staples well and if you orders something else it's your own fault :)

Criss G.

Yelp
Great service for a popular and very busy place. Food was very good. Visited in later September, restaurant was cold, 7:30 dinner, all the doors were open. Lucky we had gone back to get jackets from car. Not use to Maine weather.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't even know where to start here. To start our waiter was easily the best if not the second best serviceman I have ever come across. His name was Charlie and I have to tell you I hope his parents know what a great kid he is because wow he was amazing I couldn't believe the service he provided it was incredible. Also the nachos were amazing and the wings were some of the best I've ever had. The burger could be better but hey nothing is perfect. What I will say is that I would go here again tomorrow to see Charlie and I live in Boston. Wonderful place highly recommend, also ask for Charlie as a waiter because everyone should have this experience.
