I attended a two week summer conservatory that had Red Rabbit cater for it. The food was constantly undercooked, especially the chicken, and was not well prepared. Chicken was also served for almost every meal. Not a lot of variety. There were barely any vegetarian options. Serving sizes were small as well. The food choices were odd like eggplant, tofu, and chickpeas. But, they were all very poorly cooked and tasted atrocious. There were days many of us attending the program would skip meals or have stomach aches because the food was so inedible. We payed for this meal plan and it was NOT worth it. Please be warned about catering. The food from this place made me vegetarian!

I don’t know what’s happened as of late but 12 years ago, my son attended daycare with Red Rabbit as the caterer. He ate mojo chicken, channa, and enjoyed different cultural foods daily. They’d pack food to take home if I had to pick him up early so I tasted it regularly and it was delicious. Especially the mojo chicken. I cannot speak to today’s food but it was amazing back when he was at Preschool of America on 42nd street (now MetroKids).

The food is awful and not child friendly at all. The fruit my school receives Is intended for 3k and prek. The fruit is out if season tasteless and sometimes spoiled. The lunch is even worse Never a child friendly meal. Everything It's awful. The ingredients are used all week. They just shape it differently and serve it. And it's not good from day one. I wouldn't dream of eating myself let alone giving it to the students shame on red rabbit.

I give it two stars because some of the meals look good like the pasta my children love it!! The problem is most of the food looks bad, of all 5 meals they maybe eat 2 and my son is not a picky eater he’ll eat anything. Another problem they have is irresponsibility; they would miss meals, miss days, change dates for deliveries... and won’t even have the decency of calling you to let you know, only of it’s a snowstorm o something related to weather (to change the dates they sent an email of course)For my kids school they changed delivery days to Tuesdays!! School starts on a Monday so you know one of those meals is getting rotten or tossed away and I’m pretty sure government or somebody is paying for it, it’s a shame!!

My Daughter loves the Red Rabbit meals She stated it's better than the other regular school lunches and the fact that it's healthy and the kids love it makes it awesome. Too many times my daughter has complained that she had to eat Peanut butter and jelly due to nasty options provided by schools often making sandwiches the night before and I'm glad we now have an option that is similar to my healthy cooking I do at home and No, it don't taste like plastic IT TASTE LIKE REAL FOOD which she prefers. So awesome I can relax knowing she ate just as good as she would at home THANK YOU RED RABBIT !

Red Rabbit used to be a dependable, well-operated organization. I'm not sure what has happened to their operations, however, this current year has been a nightmare where we are unable to reach anyone when our food is late or if we were missing food (which has happened every day this month, with the exception of 2 days). We write emails with our concerns to the email address we were provided, and we receive no response. The only person who helps us is the individual who was in charge of our account last year (who isn't even suppose to over see our account anymore). She had to personally deliver the food to our program, which was 1.5 hours late, AND we were missing food. We understand that traffic can be unpredictable and meal count can be off in the beginning of the year as we acclimate to the changes, however, when there is no response from the organization to discuss the plan they have to fix the problems that is a major red flag. We will not be using Red Rabbit anymore unless they are able to rectify these organizational and logistical issues.

Healthy meals: whole grain, allergy free options, lean protein, fresh vegetables and healthy snacks. Maybe not organic (come on, now) but - it's not the horribly unhealthy meals served in public schools. When is the Board of Education going to mandate these healthy meals to all of our children??

Ripping people off $620 a year in lunch calling it healthy because they cook it from scratch? well Healthy meal is using organic produce, non GMO veggies, no chickens from western beef with antibiotic and hormones,no cow milk unless organic, seriously! don't call it healthy because you cook it from scratch...THIS IS BULL!
